On The Wire Canopy-Bed Capital City
Today is a day of mixed emotions for the Queendom of Pretty Princess Land. Today was declared a national day of mourning as the country paid a fond farewell to the Esteemed, Beloved Queen Bethany II. A funeral train started from the Capital City of Canopy Bed and rolled through the country’s center. Stopping at major cities such as Vanity, Puppies!, Daisy, and stopping at the Queen’s home town of Seahorse. All workers with the exception of necessary services such as police and medical were given the next three days off to mourn their most beloved Queen. Services that do have to work are given time and a half pay during the time period.
Parades and other Ceremonies are happening all over the country celebrating the life of a Royal who has kept peace through most of her twenty three year rule. She was born in the seaside town of Seahorse and had always felt a connection there. She held her most famous summit the ‘Glitter Body Paint Peace Talks’ at her mansion here. She will be most remembered however for narrowly averting war by bringing peace during the Mass Diet of 91. When the people tried throw out all foods that would go straight to their thighs.
In early morning hours a new queen ascended to the throne. Queen Tiffany IV was crowned right before the funeral precession. She is known for her liberal views that will help the economic struggles in the land. She has declined making a statement only saying this is a time to honor the passing of a great leader and to mourn together as a country. Business will begin soon as the time of mourning is over. Parliament will be having its slumber party to discuss issues that are of concern to the country. It seems Queen Tiffany wishes to get to work right away.
