Arc-Royal Shipyard-Part 1
The Marine Commandos were teleported into, of all places, a storage bay where goods and materials were stored. The Marines knew what to do. Like the Dare Death men, the Red Rosa network had fed them a map of the complex, and told them to hit the power station, the communications facility, and sabotage the construction yards in the nastiest way they could think of. Unlike the Dare Deaths, they had to follow rules of ethics-they couldn't afford mass murder or violence, they had to be more surgical.
And, since this was a vital facility, they had to be really careful...the area was fortified, drone guns, angry guards who looked like they got out of marital disputes, the works. Red Rosa provided the Marines going after the main targets with Staric work uniform schematics so they could go in disguised, and minimize their chances of getting caught. Meanwhile, undisguised Marine units would provide a distraction.
Thus, the men began to sneak out of the bay, different teams going to different sections of the Shipyard. They were in disguise, but they were still armed, with SMGs and pistols.
They were met by a worker, who held his hands up when he saw that the men who looked like his fellow workers were definetly not Staric. Surprisingly, the man didn't call for help. Instead, he said, "Thank goodness."
The Marines then took him to a closet and told him of their mission. He agreed to sneak the team into the comms area, which was jealously guarded. As the worker led the men to the door, he opened it up. The guards let him in, but they stopped the Marines. At this, the Marines punched out the Guards, and shot them. They then had to put them somewhere safe, like a broom closet.
The Marines then brandished their railpistols at the men in the room. The worker who let them in explained the situation. The comms workers then proceeded to spill their drinks on the consoles, and mess with the settings. They even borrowed the Marines' pistols and rail-SMGs and shot at the consoles When the Marines became perplexed, the comms workers revealed they had had it with the authorities (and those guns were pretty scary), and would try and help them. Thus, they proceeded to help them smash all the other equipment, and the Marines fled with them.
--------------------
However, somebody noticed that external communications were down. Then, Security and its cameras noticed that there was a "riot" going on in the Communications Area. Thus, the Alert was sounded, soldiers flooded the hallways armed and dangerous.
The plan was going a bit awry.
A squad of soldiers met the Marines that were to be the distraction, and opened fire on them, forcing a retreat. Two men were wounded, and the Marines fired shotguns and threw grenades into the enemy ranks, causing casualties. However, the enemy kept coming, and the undisguised Marines had to stay alert and moving, engaging squads of enemy infantry that tried to cut them off at various twists and turns.
----------------
Meanwhile, the Marines gunning for the Security area took refuge in the toilet, as a column of men ran nearby. They then dashed quickly, and were forced to engage a group of enemy soldiers with SMGs and pistols. It was by sheer luck they escaped, casualties were incurred as a man was wounded.
Eventually they dashed into a walk-in closet, and radioed the Marines who had smashed up the Comms center. They agreed to meet, and storm the Security Area together.
First they had to meet at a nearby halfway point, a barracks area for shipyard workers. The men in the closet agreed to the arrangement, and when there were no Staric infantry nearby, they rushed to the meeting place. The other Marines and their compatriots did the same.
There, as they moved out, they came under fire from two more squads of enemy infantry. The Marines shot back, their SMGs and pistols blazing away at the enemy. The rebel workers then took the rifles from the dead soldiers, and followed.
Resistance increased near the Security Area, as drone guns, blast doors, and all the other security goodies top-level facilities like that have began to come into play. It began to resemble a Keystone Kops film, as the Marines leaped through closign doors, ducked and evaded drone gun shots with moves that would put the NBA's best to shame, and began to exploit all the little nooks and crannies the facility had to offer. Casualties were mounting; one man was dead, and though several disgruntled workers had taken his place, they were getting hammered too; two men were dead.
As they desperately tried to hide in a remote corridor, they radioed the ISB Mothership for some explosives, and shotguns-fast. They were warped down right near them, and the Marines quickly put these guns to use, clearing out a thick concentration of enemy infantry and blowing down some drone guns.
They were getting exhausted, and wounds and shots had been wearing them down. But they were close to the Security Command Area.
They blew out some more drone guns, and finally approached the massive blast door that had been implemented to seal off the final set of corridors leading to the Security Command Area. Radioing for some High Explosives, the ISB Ships beamed some down, and they proceeded to mount large quantities on what they judged to be the weakest parts of the door. Then, they backed away, and detonated the explosives, bending the door, but not breaking it.
This was going to be a problem. If they couldn't break in, then they couldn't stop Security from summoning all those men, and those nice little defenses. As it turned out, the communications center being destroyed made it impossible to hack into the systems directly. So, they had to bring in a ISB Door Descrambler, again by transport, and used a direct linkup from the vessel to the Descrambler to finally get the door open.
The Marines then proceeded forth.....after another set of battles, they finally broke through several more blast doors, dealt with several more squads, and entered the Security Control Area. After a fierce firefight, the room was secured. The disgruntled workers serving as translators, the Marines shut down the drone guns and opened all blast doors and secure areas-making it much easier for the others to do their jobs. And, they sent a message to the Arc-Royal's Employees-
"Attention All Employees-
The First Prince of Starenell intends to use this facility for his evil ends! He intends to impose a bleak, Chaotic dictatorship that will usurp your rights and destroy your local autonomy!
Nevermind these things, we have witnessed your working conditions. Many of your fellow Workers have complained of the conditions here. They say what you all think. That this facility, under the present management, is oppressive, and for little benefit and pay, they take your labor for the sole benefit of a man who has become mad! This is not what you signed up for!
We therefore, encourage you employees, cast off your chains! They are the only thing to be lost!"
The Staric soldiers realized this was bad, it meant the invaders had the security center under their command. For the Arc-Royal's Employees, it meant that whoever was shaking things up was not here to kill them, and in fact, was there to help them out. Thus, they began to resist, taunting Staric soldiers and even rioting in one of the cafeterias.

Arc-Royal Shipyard, Part 2-
The chaos caused by the siezure of the Security Command Area took some of the heat off of the distraction team, who had been run ragged and was currently holding out with a platoon of friendly employees in a barracks area. The Staric workers seizing enemy weapons, they then proceeded to move out.
Reports from the Marines in the Security area indicated that resistance was still strong, but the apparent reports of rioting and resistance by Arc-Royal's employees holding them up would buy them time. The ISB Ship ordered the Distraction Marines to join the Construction Yard Sabotage Marines, who had made it to the Yards, but were coming under attack.
The men made it there, acquring more allies along the way, and assaulted the Staric Infantry attacking the Marines at the Yards. A fierce firefight ensued, with casualties taken by the Marines, forcing them to withdraw temporarily. However, their charges did not withdraw. Fueled by anger and the prospect of getting their share, they charged forward, forcing the Marines back into action to prevent them from collapsing. Grenades were thrown, shots fired, and sniping snapshots made at enemies in the rafters, who by now had rushed in heavier stuff, mechs, armor, what have you, to take them out. There were only a few in the station, but with a bunch massed at that point, the Marines and the workers had to withdraw.
A plan had to be formulated to take out the mechs that were now preventing them from completing their job. It was decided that they would try and use high explosives to take out the legs. Simple enough. Of course, how to distract the drivers long enough to let this happen was a problem.
The solution came grisly, and quick. A mob of workers with molotovs and rifles had entered the Yard, trying to sieze control of it. The mechs and the soldiers there opened fire on them, resulting in a randomized shootout that was getting to be very costly for them. It was somewhat sickening to the Marines and their comrades, but they knew this was their chance.
The Marines rushed back in, taking cover under the numerous cranes and machinery. Then, teams of men rushed out while the other Marines distracted them, and strapped explosives onto the legs of a mech, at times climbing brazenly onto the legs to get a good spot. They than ran back and detonating them, damaging the mech's legs and doing some damage. The Marines also shot at the damaged sections, trying to score some more damage points before the mechs reacted.
This went on for at least several minutes, and after the deaths of five Marines and 23 workers, and numerous calls for more explosives (RPG-Krak and Hi-ex Plastiques), the mechs were finally toppled. The infantry recognizing the situation was probably not going to end well with some of their heaviest equipment downed and vital communications and security centers taken, it was time to surrender. They threw up their hands, and gave up.
At this, the workers rushed forward, siezing control of equipment and taking prisoners. The Marines wanted to destroy the equipment, and had to persuade the workers that holding the facility would be unwise militarily, since the Government would be bound to intervene. After a few minutes of heated exchange, the workers agreed to sabotage the machines, and leave the facility. The call went out, and all the rest of the shipyard saw widespread sabotage, vandalism, and the odd explosive going off where it wasn't meant to.
The Marines reported a successful mission, and instructed HQ to tell the Red Rosa Network to tell the rebellion the Arc-Royal Station was no longer in Government hands, and that it was no longer useful to them.
The Marines then left, and took the workers with them, the ship traveling to Alcor as fast as possible. With a total of 30 Marines dead, more injured, and 100 Workers dead, 200 injured, it paid to seek more secure quarters....

OOC: Thanks to my comp eating my posts, I have to post a truncated version. Argh.
IC:
On Avalon and Thorin, meanwhile, great plans were being made....
The Red Rosa man on Thorin had made his contacts with the locals, and the sentiments were clear. Not many people were comfortable with Tancred, and wanted him out. So, they were eager to join the rebellion.
The rebels already recruited began fanning out, quietly recruiting others in nearby villages in the hopes of establishing cells, targeting higher-ups and those who knew resources and people. Militia leaders already involved, meanwhile, were creating a plan with the Marines and Dare Death units to try and take the industrial complex nearby.
The plan called for a half-hearted attack by the New Dornalians. This would rouse the facility's guards to arms, and force them to call in the militia. The militia would arrive, but turn on the regulars, and aid the New Dornalians in siezing the facility.
It was genius. And, it would be executed at the stroke of midnight, about a week from the time they agreed on it.
---------
Jurgan was doing the same. Kara's connections were milked by a Red Rosa agent that arrived soon after, who tried to smuggle high-explosives and sabotage equipment to the agents in the cities. However, with martial law in force, and miltiamen and regulars scanning for their presence, it took some doing, going out at night and evading the patrols to make contacts and ship supplies. Transporters were useful in beating the patrols, but with only a few onboard the ISB Ship, it was a long waiting list....
However, it was clear the enemy knew they were here. They thus plotted to attack while they could, and move their position to somewhere safer.
The target was a Military Base nearby-Kara's Network had identified it as a vital target. Thus, they began moving, and began to set up positions some distance away, making sure to stay hidden as best as they could. Force powers were useful in this regard-many Dare Death men thanked the Goddess they knew their magic.

Avalon
Some time later a civilian liner entered orbit over Avalon. After several hours an explosian rocked the ship, breaking its back, and sending large pieces of debris into the atmosphere. As the smaller pieces vaporized and the larger ones burned up, 500 shock pods slowly pulled away from the wreckage as they fell toward the ground. Smoke trailed behind them as thrusters flared. Then suddenly as they slowed down considerably each pod burst and was consummed by flame.
What was unseen was a white figure, larger than the average human, drop out of each pod as it burst. The avian tidani known as Arderials, used their large wings to vector their approach to the forest below. Carefully they slowed their desent, until they safely opened their wings fully and soon landed.
Each company of 100 gathered together around large pieces of wreckage that had been allowed to reach the surface. Inside was equipment and supplies for a month on the ground. After that they would have to rely on supplies captured from the enemy. The companies quickly gathered the gear and fled into the woods.
They were elite tidani special forces including the Deathwing, Red Talon, Nightwing, and Raptor Companies. The mission itself was under the command of the legendary Archangels. The Archangel Company has almost passed into myth with its past victories and the stories created about them from the public's obscession with them. The are part of the Adept's black ops section, and perhaps the only one who's existance is known publicly. Some think that the Adepts have allowed this because the storm of rumor and fantasy created around them is almost more effective then complete secrecy.
They would lay low at first, then make contact with the other rebel forces on the planet. They would ensure the capital fell, or die trying. Either way, the scavengers of this world would feast for months off of the carnage to come.
(ooc: My version of paratroopers, with the ability to fly themselves in and out of a location. The arderial tribe is on my species list in the library for some more info and pics. The four companies are special forces paratroopers, but the Archangels are also Adepts so they have weirding too. I have been waiting forever for a reason to try them out. This should be fun.)

Jurgan's forces noticed lights in the distant sky....and they knew something was up. Their suspicions were confirmed when their handlers informed them:
"Break off from present operations. Friendly forces have just intervened. Proceed to meet with them at once."
Jurgan fumed. But, an order was an order. So, he ordered his men to stand down, and quietly slipped away from their quarry. They marked it for later in their minds.
After moving to the southwest, they held their positions. Jurgan felt a presence...it wasn't negative, like the ones he got from the Government soldiers. But it was positive. One of comradeship. He knew allies were nearby.
He picked a platoon out, and then headed out on patrol. Moving on in a sweep, he hoped to meet up with these new allies. If they were in the area...
OOC: Tidan, your cue.
That night the forests echoed with the calls of birds never heard before on Avalon. Arderials, using their native tongue to communicate, hurried about setting up their base camp. The Deathwings, Red Talons, Nightwings, and Raptors stayed behind to work while the Archangels scouted out the surrounding land.
Major Sorreah, leader of the Archangels, glided gracefully just over the tree tops. He and the rest of his 100 brothers were out to literally get a birds eye view of what was around them. They stayed low though, keeping close to the canopy so they could drop back below if they felt they were in danger of being spotted.
Sorreah dipped down into the trees and came to rest on a large, sturdy branch. It held his weight well, and he sat there being very silent for several minutes. His large wings darted back and forth slightly keeping his balance on the branch. Then through the woods came a line of men in uniform and arms.
His spectacular vision saw almost as well in the moonlight as in daylight. The men were not wearing Staric uniforms, but they were also in the dress of a professional soldier and not the lesser supplies one would expect to see on rebels or even the militia.
They were almost below him now. His instincts said these were not enemy soldiers, but he had been trained to be cautious. He took out a small cube from his black armor. He depressed a small button on one of the faces and tossed it several meters to his left. It landed on the ground in front of some of the men and a holo-projection of glowing white light in humanoid form appeared before them.
"Hark, who travels on sacred ground?"
'Sacred ground' was the code name the Archangels always gave to their home base. It was one of several ways the company enjoyed themselves in their name and the fact that they resembled heavenly beings.

This drive quietly continued. By now, cells were springing up all over, and nighttime activity increased quietly as leaders met to discuss plans for action. Several more leaders were recruited, and new cells would spring up soon...meanwhile, all was quiet, to prevent too much noise from being made. As it was, the Red Rosa/Marine/Dare Death Command in Spallsburg, (the village contact was made in initially) was worried about the growth. Would it attract government action?
So far, nothing major had changed. But, Rebel agents at night had reported slightly more police patrols, mainly stopping to check all the traffic that occurred at night. Nobody they knew had been caught so far, but it seemed the attack would have to be pushed up soon enough to give it a chance at all.
Thus, they opted to begin tonight. There was a full moon-a double-edged sword. They could see the enemy better, but so could the enemy.
The Dare Death men and the Marines moved out, assembling in the hills and countryside near the industrial complex. They prepped their usual rounds of explosives-mortars and RPG-Krak shots-and sniper rifles and moved in close. They then moved in close to the complex, and scoped it out.
It was heavily fortified, like usual. Mechs, men, APCs. Regulars and rent-a-cops alike guarded the area, to prevent intrusion or the kind of action these men were going to commit. No matter. With their new allies, they could take 'em.
After studying the area, they moved in for the kill. The Marines opened fire with sniper rifles on the infantry, while RPG-Krak and mortar shots o nthe armor. The Dare Death soldiers unsheathed their lithams, and moved in from the left, running towards the enemy infantry.
As planned, the Staric Government men rose to action. APCs moved and began firing their weapons, mechs rose to life and fired rockets at the Marine positions, and the infantry, having been confused initially, fired back at the ND Forces. The Dare Death tussled with the infantry using their usual, gruesome "No Prisoners" policy, but were forced to withdraw when a force of mechs and men in APCs bore down on them.
At this point, the Marines fired their explosives at the enemy APCs, knocking out two and damaging several others. They also opened with their rifles and machine guns on the infantry moving towards them. The rent-a-cops fell back, but the Regulars kept coming. The reorganized Dare Death units charged again, using their Force powers and lithams to distrupt the enemy charge, forcing the infantry back and killing and wounding numerous men.
The Marines and Dare Death men then ran away as fast as they came. At this point, the Staric forces knew they had some hunting to do. They called out the militia, and ordered patrols out into the country. The ND Forces fought a fighting retreat, smug in knowing help would be coming soon...they hoped.
----
As a matter of fact, it did. Several companies of militia, lightly armed but with vehicles and some mechs, came forth, linking up with the regulars at the complex.
The commander of the regulars came out and said, "It's good to see you-"
Then, he was cut down by a burst of fire from a militiaman's rifle. A firefight then broke out, with miltia units engaging the regulars in combat. The militia radioed the ND men to come back and finish the plan.
The ND Forces, which had been running, were able to slip by Staric patrols (mainly due to the help of the Force and dumb luck) and reappear at their previous spots. By then (this was 30-45 mins later), the militia and the regulars were fighting for the factory piece by piece, casualties had been taken and regular patrols were coming back to try and bail their brothers out. The Dare Death men resumed their litham-and-Force charge upon enemy units from the side; they charged right into an enemy platoon trying to dislodge the militia from a tool shop, and cut them down. Then, they joined with the militia, and moved on another part of the complex held by regulars and rent-a-cops.
The Marines took the side of a company of militia trying to get into a arms factory, and aided them in storming that building. Casualties were light, and the militia took the initiative, moving with the Marines to sieze another portion.
Things soon were getting tougher. The complex was coming under fire from the mechs; this was hampering operations.
Thus, the Militia deployed their own vehicles, and battled the mechs as best as possible. APCs and mechs slugged it out, with men quickly shifted inside the APCs armed with RPG-Kraks and Staric Rockets to try and take down the mechs, who in turn fired back.
Casualties were mounting on both ops; as many Militia vehicles were being knocked out and disabled as were Regular mechs. But, the mechs, after a sustained firefight, decided to withdraw into the complex and force a more favorable outcome.
However, the Rebels in the complex wre beginning to win out. The CQB tactics of the Marines, the Force powers and ferocity of the Dare Death men, and the sheer tenacity and dedication of the Militia were beginning to take their toll on the Regulars, who retreated to another part of the complex and tried to coalesce around the mechs to form a center of resistance.
The Rebels knew it was now or never. Militia comm scans indicated more units were on the way. The calls of the Regulars, who repeatedly called for reinforcements, were answered, and it seemed these were militia and regulars that were loyal to the regime.
Thus, the remaining Militia vehicles disembarked their complements, and the Rebels moved on the mechs and enemy infantry. Pitched battles were fought, and explosions lit up the sky for miles around as mortars, RPG-Krak and other explosives were being traded between the two sides in a bid to take the mechs down.
However, in five hours, the objective had finally been accomplished-the enemy opted to withdraw, and three mechs had been destroyed. The Marines began chanting "Nah-nah-nah-nah! Hey Hey Hey! Good bye!"
Casualties were major. 20 Marines, 32 Dare Death Squaddies, and 200 Militia were dead, and many more wounded. The complexes' hospital was reactivated, and workers called in from friendly villages and towns to help them out. Meanwhile, the rebel flag was raised over the complex, and residents began to try and fix the place.
All in all, it was bloody, but worth it. A broadcast went out over local TV and radio, courtesy of Resistance cells, calling for militiamen and citizens of Thorin to rebel against Tancred.
The villages that were already loyal rose up; their militias siezed stockpiles and began to mobilize. Those nearby that were not yet persuaded began to either think about joining or planned to squish the rebellion.

"Hark, who travels on sacred ground?"
'Sacred ground' was the code name the Archangels always gave to their home base. It was one of several ways the company enjoyed themselves in their name and the fact that they resembled heavenly beings.
The men looked at the beings in the trees. They were birdlike, and yet sentient and with an air of power. Many men began thinking to themselves, perhaps these are agents of the Goddess? No, they couldn't be.
Jurgan sensed their awe, and said, "Stay calm. These are terrestrial beings. I sensed their coming...I shall talk to them."
The men calmed somewhat, but their opinion of the beings as the Goddess' agents were unchanged. Even if they were terrestrial, perhaps She had motivated them to action on their behalf.
---------------------------------
Jurgan answered, walking several paces towards one of them, stopping and looking up, "Colonel Ramius Jurgan, 1st Company, People's Acolyte Dare Death Squads. I sensed your arrival, fellow soldier."
He then told his men to lower their arms. Jurgan then said, with a questioning tone: "I trust you are here for the reason we are?"
Sorreah was crouched on the branch when the soldier called to him. He gave a call to his commrads in the trees near by to stand down. He pushed off the branch into a backflip. When he had come around to be upright again his wings beat to catch his fall and gently he touched the ground.
"Colonel, I am glad to find you. I am Major Sorreah of the Tidani Adept Service's Archangel Company. I bring 500 to fight by your side, and news of the rebellion if you have been out of contact with the rest of the galaxy."
Sorreah walked over to retrieve his holocube. He gave a shrill whistle that while sounding like wild fauna conveyed a sense of a complex language. Nine others dropped from the trees and gathered behind him.
"We have a base set up about five kilometers south," he pointed behind him. "The govenrment will be awake soon and investigators will begin searching south of our base for the remains of the passenger liner we arrived on. I can have the rest of my force packed up and ready to move in an hour if we need to leave this area. You know the situation better than I at the moment. Where are our forces needed?"

Jurgan said, "We have an agent of the Staric Resistance here named Kara Canaus. She identified several major installations that can be destroyed and cells she has contact with."
He then said, "One of those targets, an army base northeast of here, we were about to attack. Other targets should be an urban center to the west, with a factory complex and a police station, another base to the northwest of that city where they store mechs and fighters, and a royal residence.
However, the main area of concern is that base our forces were about to assault. It stores mechs and armor-something we don't want to deal with later."
"Understood. It sounds like the bases to the northwest and northeast are the main concerns. The city should be a simple case of preventing the government from using its production capabilities and removing their center for control -the police station. If there is a civilian group ready to take over protection of the people there it would make things much easier.
"I could have my four companies deal with the urban target while you assault the reserve base in the northeast. I would like to have my company join you, as the base sounds like it is heavily defended and it would allow us fast communication between the two assaults in case something unexpected comes up."
He smiled and shrugged. "Plus, it isn't every day we get two work with allies in our line of work."

He then said, "The rest of my command is several kilometers to the north. We will go there to assemble with the rest of my force."
Sorreah gave a command to his soldiers, ordering them to gather his company here. He and Jurgan then worked out a plan for the attack. He sent the plan to the commanders of his other companies and relayed them the locations of the targets. He would leave their part of the attack up to them, they were more than capable.
When the rest of the Archangels arrived at the small gathering, they all began moving north to hook up with the rest of Jurgan's forces.

On Thorin, Resistance-aligned Militia and Marine units began fortifying themselves against a counterattack, and coalesced around the Mayor of Spallsburg and other militia leaders as the "Commander-In-Chief." Hospitals were being established, and slowly but surely, Red Rosa was feeding them medical supplies and food to try and sustain them against a counterattack, and to get the wounded healed.
The Militia, meanwhile moved out, trying to persuade those waffling units to join them by sending Resistance agents to speak with those commanders, and if possible, offering them lavish bribes to sweeten the pot. Those units that joined the Government, meanwhile, were targeted for a new round of offensives to begin soon. After all, the best defense was a good offense.

Security was light around the city, but very active. The government forces tried to make up for their small numbers in the city by appearing to be everywhere to the citizens. This kind of organization and coordination kept the city working and prevented them from thinking about joining the rebellion, but it required a great amount of centralized planning to be effective. The resistance knew this, which is why they had targeted the busy police station as the priority for the city.
Under the cover of darkness the members of Deathwing, Red Talon, Nightwing, and Raptor Companies moved into the city. Searchlights and anti-air scanned the skies constantly while patrols roamed the streets.
The Tidani got to the edge of the city and took to the skies. They stayed low and once they got near the city center they flew up to the roofs of office buildings and towers. Slowly they made their way toward the police station roof.
Deathwings forced their way inside from the roof, while the other three companies took positions on roofs around the station. Inside, the Deathwings made their way from floor to floor stunning all the occupants. After an hour they had secured the building with little resistance, most of the people inside had been administration.
With the building secure, they now needed to deal with the heavily armed security forces all over the city.

Jurgan, meanwhile, moved back up north as well to consoldate with his men. Leaving behind a rear guard force to defend the camp, they prepared to move back to their previous target....
The Dare Death Squads moved into tactical positions, concealed with the Force. Snipers with a few demolition teams moved in close from the West, silently crawling on their bellies and moving very slowly to avoid detection while the teams planted remotely controlled explosives behind them. Meanwhile, DDs and Staric Resistance prepared to fight, moving in from the east. The plan was that the sniper attack on the base's entrace would cause attention and send men after them. As the DDs would retreat into the Forests, the contingents to the East would assault the base, moving in to take advantage of the confusion. Once the Western Contingents made a counterattack, then they could smash the enemy from both sides...
They peered through their scopes. The base was on some kind of alert. Since the raid they had made before, it was logical to assume that the Government would be more cautious. Men were about, searchlights scanned the perimeter, and APCs and mechs were either on patrol or moving out on a main road. Presumably, the Tidanis had begun their attack, it sounded like the Government was making some kind of a response.
After an opening was detected, the snipers fired several shots at the guards in the towers and on patrol, killing many and causing the expected alarm and response of APCs, Mechs, and armor to sweep the forest, looking for enemies. There was a catch, however. They spread out in all directions. IF the Eastern Contingents did not move soon, they would be caught. A quick message was relayed to the Eastern Contingents, which fell back and tried to avoid the enemy, as they began combing the forest, and shooting wildly at whatever they would get.
Then, the traps were sprung. The Western Contingent began detonating some of its mines as its snipers retreated and shot at the enemy, stopping to hide and shoot, then run, then repeat. This began doing damage to enemy infantry and APCs, if it left the mechs capable of action. Meanwhile, the demo teams also began firing RPGs at the Mechs' legs, which did some damage, if not a lot.
The Eastern Contingent, meanwhile, launched a counterattack, as it fired upon enemy forces with RPGs and railgun shots, dealing damage to the infantry and APCs again, and with much less force, the Mechs. All DD and Resistance units remaind mobile, with teams flanking the enemy search columns and assaulting enemy infantry and armor. The Mechs were still a problem though....
Government Base
High in the sky, Tidani scouts soared over the Staric base. Their avian eyes gave them a bird's-eye-view of the battle below, which they shared with the New Dornalians and the rest of the Archangels who were waiting just outside the battle.
The battle was progressing well, the infantry was taking heavy casualties from the sniping and ambushes but the mechs were absorbing too much of what the DDs were throwing at them. The time had come.
The signal for the Archangels to move was given, and a cry rose over the battle. Then a hundred more, louder than any eagle, as the Archangels flew up over the treetops. They climbed high and then dove onto the government forces. Energy fire rained from the sky, not that accurate but what a distraction. Meanwhile some of the tidani were moving directly above the enemy mechs, then fired EMPGs. Spheres of electro-magnetically charged gel fell on the mechs discharging as they impacted.
After the first wave had finished, they flew down to join forces that needed support.

The DD's and Staric Resistance cheered as the mechs became crippled or sustained severe damage from the attacks, and then let out a vicious war cry. With Tidani support victory in this engagement was assured.
Lithams unsheathed now, all of the DD's charged in and began hacking at groups of infantry, using Force powers to increase their effectiveness in close combat and make the enemy suffer. Meanwhile, the Resistance fighters used explosives to attack the enemy vehicles and the Mechs, which were weakened now-they now began to fall over, one by one....
Jotham's corp began moving units to join with the Tidani and block enemy escape. Air support could be heard in the distance...so it was imperative the enemy be destroyed and the base taken, now.
Government Base
Sorreah landed next to Jurgan ready to point out the approaching air support, but it was clear the New Dornalians already knew also.
"We wont be able to hold off the CAS once it gets here. We have a few unique tactics against aircraft, but we are very vulnerable while in the air. What are you thinking?"
The rest of the forces moved quickly to try to mop up the enemy. Tidani lobbed sonic grenades into the enemy ranks, and kept up the pressure on the remaining mechs and APCs.
The battle they were winning was now turning into a fight against time to finish it before the airforce arrived.

The police station had been taken and secured, but apparently a message had gotten out just before the dispatchers were captured warning of the commando strike.
The Tidani decided to use this to their advantage, and forced the dispatchers to broadcast a call for all the forces in the city to recall to the station. They would set an ambush for when the forces returned.

Jurgan said, "Dang. That damn CAS will tear us to bits."
He then observed the enemy units become bogged down, and frightened by the conflagaration around them. They began surrendering, and the Resistance almost had to stop the DDs by gunfire to get them to quit shooting and slashing. Still, there were many left, and CAS was bound to bail them out.
Jurgan then said, "Here is the plan. I'll try some trickery. We'll order a tactical retreat, and make the CAS drop their ordinance on top of their own men."
OOC: Basically, this involves using the Force and a Staric radio to persuade the CAS Wing commander to drop ordinance on their fellow men, while feigning retreat.
--------------
The Staric Government forces began to retreat back to the police station. Something about an emergency? Ah well. They armed themselves, and several columns of men and materiel began streaming towards the station.

The Resistance militia and ND Forces, after communicating plans through Red Rosa, launched their new offensives in a single, coordinated strike, broadcasting propaganda all the while and staging assaults on Loyalist units all over the continent where Spallsburg was located. Aircraft could be seen dueling aircraft, columns of men and armor could be seen besieging each other's bases and plains turned into dueling grounds for mechs. Base after base, city after city, and house after house saw intense combat for control. However, the residents, many of whome were either on the fence or sympathetic to the rebellion, either stayed out of the fight or actively sabotaged Loyalist plans.
