The Brazilian government approaches various British banks and construction firms about the possibility of a large new loan for the construction of new Brazilian railways, canals, and roads.

(Great Britain did historically support Brazilian infrastructure, what I'm asking for is just stepping-up the historical trend.)

The Persian Government at the time is too busy handing the current labor unrest does to the use of enslaved people for the Shah mad railroad projects. Also a number of rebellions, minor at the moment have broken out in some of the frontier regions of Persia, do to recent events. Therefore the Persian Government is unable to counter the British Government seizing of merchant ships and just they are force to allow the British to collected the duties for now. Yet the Persian distaste for the British actions is growing and might fan into a rebellion against the British influence in their lands.

--- Official Diplomatic Communique: 10 Mar. 1874 ---

TO: London, The United Kingdom
FROM: Athens, Greece

To the Most Honorable Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield:

Greetings and Salutations from the land of Greece! As of recently, the Greek people, seeking to further stabilize its current state of affairs within the Southern Balkans region, would like to petition the offices of your nation for aid.

Currently our profound military institutions are without proper defensive ordinance, instead equipped with weaponry of the past, barely capable of making any comprable defence against a would-be foreign aggressor. Furthermore, the state of conduct within the Greek military apparatus is in great need of reform.

As a nation of grand status, it is my firm belief that the United Kingdom, in all her glory, may be able to alleviate such burdens plaguing our government, especially when our offices are more than willing to pay in full. But as this is a offering of mutual acceptance, I await the explicit approval of your government before taking any further steps.

I eagerly await your reply.

Signed,

Antonios Comnenus Kapodistrias
Lord-Protector of the State

We will be glad to help the Greek government in any way that we can. We also suggest that the Greek Navy looks into our Motor Torpedo Boats as a way of defending and patrolling the many islands and large coastline that it protects.

To: The English Prime Minister.

Greetings, As you know the Republic is currently embroiled in a struggle to stablise the nation to facilitate its growth and emergence to its glory. One of these struggles is against a rabble of Mayan rebels in the area known as the Yucatan. The rebels have been known to purchase their gunpowder from the governer of British Honduras (Belize), We demand that this practice be ceased immediately as it hampers our efforts.

Yours Respectfully,

"Cease and Desist from your illegal trade with unrecognized political entities within the soverign Nation of Mexico. As your nation no longer has any vested interest with the Mexican people, the United States will reguard any meddling with their established and recognized government or territory under the soverignty of said government to be no less than an Act of War against the soverign peoples of Mexico. And what is this evidence that you speak of, you have submitted no proof of these allegation. Furthermore I resent the term "Treachery" being used in this discourse, this is not how civilized nations speak to one another. Furthermore, you shall receive no such apology for actions that we are innocent of, and the demand for Compensation is laughable. And you have absolutely no right whatsoever on demanding that the Her Royal Majesty's government withdraw our influence from a region that is strategicly valuable to the Empire.

The United States would remind the British Government that the allegations are not something to take lightly, as proof of such actions against a chief American Ally would be possible grounds for War. It is suggested, if the British have nothing to hide, that an American detachment of merchant marine vessels be stationed as a "examinatory" blockade around the Yucatan and that US Government workers be permitted to set up checkpoints at British ports in Honduras to ensure that no large shipments of munitions are inbound for trade to Mexican rebels.

If the British are not satisfied with this suggestion, perhapse they could propose another solution to this diplomatic problem.
