OOC: Now to move to my replacement for Botany (can't go back there until the Warp Storm dies down).

IC: Deep in the heart of the space claimed by the SeaQuestian Empire in this star cluster, a beautiful M-class world orbited a single G-type star. One hemisphere was almost entirely taken up by a single continent, while the other contained a numerous collection of islands.

Orbit

Ten Firebat class (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10177413&postcount=6) battle cruisers, two Kraken class (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10225757&postcount=31) star dreadnaughts, and twenty Necropolis class (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10599034&postcount=46) heavy warships exited Hyperspace Windows within lunar orbit. The troop capacity on all the ships was pretty much evenly distrubted between colonists, equipment, and soldiers. No one ship carried more than one thing. Some carried the colonists, others carried soldiers, and the rest carried equipment.

Five months later...

It took several weeks after everyone and everything made it to the planet's surface before it resembled the lost city of Neo Roma on the lost colony world in the Botany star system. However, there was one major difference this time, no Stargate had been set-up on this world. A world named Belle Terre on SeaQuestian charts.

Belle Terre - Orbit

The I.S.S. SeaQuest 4600 III, an Odyssey class (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10177395&postcount=3) Advanced tactical exploration/research/science cruiser, dropped out of a Hyperspatial Window. The SeaQuestian Emperor had personally come to inaugerate the newly built capital building for the planet.

A short message was sent out to all friendly nations* in the cluster inviting them to join the celebration.

Message

Broadcast to all friendly nations in the star cluster:

SeaQuest is hosting a party to celebrate the inaugeration of the capital building on our second coloney planet in the cluster. You are here-by invited to attend the proceedings, which will be overseen by none other then the SeaQuestian Emperor himself.

Food and drink will be provided, all you need is to bring yourself, and a guest or two, if you want.

OOC: * Here is the list:

4.) Tannelorn.

Now, those are the definite invites.

A response message was sent to the Tigerlan ships:

Your representative can travel to the co-ordinates attached to this message via either shuttle or transporter. Your fleet, which is a little uncessary, can wait outside the orbit of the Quake Moon. You will recognize it as it is the only one with seismic activity.

Lenov, Jon and Anna are beamed down to the co-ordinence.

"I am sorry, but I do not go anywhere without thies 2, I hope you understand" reasures Lenov "It is good to see your people alive and well, we were worried that the warp storm was the end of you"

Ambassador Terinxx, a Furling with a blonde fur coat, stood waiting for them at the co-ordinates.

He replied, after giving the usual bow in greeting, "We did loose the Botany colony and everyone on it at the time. However, as we have recovered the black box we had hidden a safe distance away, we know how it happened and who did it. We had to bring more people over from the home galaxy to colonize Belle Terre.

"But, that's not why you are here. You're hear for the party.

"Now, if you'll follow me, I'll show you to your quarters where you can stay while we wait to see if any other clusterites show up with representatives before the event, which is scheduled for the end of the week."

"I am sorry to hear that" says Lenov, bowing his head in respect of the dead, as the 3 follow Terinixx

A frigate entered the atmosphere of the colony. as it aproached the landing coordinants, the hull of the ship grew and extended itself to form landing gear. the ship set down neatly and silently using it's gravitational drives.

A couple minutes later a single being appeared upon the landing pad waiting for someone to approach them..

Terinxx said, to Lenov, "Looks like I have some other guests to great," he waves an Ensign over, "the Ensign here will take you the rest of the way. We'll talk again later."

The Ensign said, as Terinxx departed, "If you'll please follow me, sir. I'll get you and you friends situated."

The Ensign grabbed a hover platform and brought it over. Luckily, the one he had gotten had seats. Terinxx could be seen taking another of the publically available hover platforms and shooting off to meet the Balroggan representative.

Fluid Time later...

Terinxx pulled up by the Balroggan and got off the hover platform.

"Welcome to Belle Terre," he said while giving the usual bow in greeting, "I'm Ambassador Terinxx."


OOC: For the hover platforms, just picture a wheel-less version of those flat-bed carts at home improvement stores (controls on the handle), only bigger. Some have seats, others don't. Most common form of public transit in SeaQuest.

"Very well then" Lenov Replied, noding to the Ensign, taking a seat in the Hover platform, motioning for the others to do the same. "Are thies things safe?" asked Anna. "Of course they are" replied Lenov

"Sure thing they're safe," exclaimed the Ensign, "with the built-in inertial dampning system, you don't feel any Gs. Similar technology is used in a popular children's toy, the hover-board."

After making sure everyone was strapped in, he manipulated the controls.

The platform first shot straight up into the air to a level above the building tops.

"Hang on," shouted the Ensign.

The platform then shot foward at thirty kilometers per hour.

"If you get cold from the wind chill," he shouted over the rush of the wind, "there is a switch on the side of your seats that will turn on heater units in them."

As chance would have it, with the spaceport on the outskirts of the city, they would have to travel over acres of beautiful farmland and countryside before reaching the suburbs. The suite the Tigerlan representatives had been assigned were in the only hotel structure that had been completed to date.

Anthony Stark, dressed in his immaculate suit picked up his case and stepped aboard the hoverboard transport.

"Greetings Terinixx, I am Anthony Stark. I have been requested to attend the party upon the Emperor's behalf. If he can attend later, he will arrive but otherwise he has been called away upon important business, what with the nation of The Casseopian Galaxy acting up again."

Stark took a seat and indicated he was secure.

"Let's see what this thing can do..."

Anthony Stark, dressed in his immaculate suit picked up his case and stepped aboard the hoverboard transport.

"Greetings Terinixx, I am Anthony Stark. I have been requested to attend the party upon the Emperor's behalf. If he can attend later, he will arrive but otherwise he has been called away upon important business, what with the nation of The Casseopian Galaxy acting up again."

Stark took a seat and indicated he was secure.

"Let's see what this thing can do..."

"Ehh," admitted Terinxx, "I'm not the best driver around, so you better make sure to use both shoulder straps as well as the one that goes across the lap.

"Oh, if you need it, there are headsets attached to each seat so we can communicate during the trip without yelling."

He indicated that he already had gotten his and adjusted it to fit his Furling cranium. A wired connected it to the platform as both part of the system and to make sure it didn't get lost during any of the trips.

Terinxx then had the platform shoot up at around twenty-five kilometers per hour and then blast foward in the same direction as the one carrying the Tigerlan representatives at around thirty-two kilometers per second.

"Feel free to enjoy the scenary," Terinxx said over the head-set (OOC: Assuming you put yours on, Bal).

OOC: @Tigerlan: I forgot to mention it, but your platform has those headsets also. Feel free to find them for yourself.

As the Ensign wasn't wearing his headset, he couldn't hear the conversation. Of course, he wasn't the kind of person who would care. On old, 20th century Earth, he would have been considered a hot-rodder due to his driving habits.
