Hello there. I am a new nation known as Greater Caucasia. I am looking for allies, friends and help on NationStates. If someone could show me what NationStates is, how to play it and so on, then that would be appreciated. I look forward to replies.

Read the stickies forst, they help a ton. As for being a friend and ally, I'm all for it, so long as your nation respects human rights and such.

Any more questions, just ask. I may be able to sell you military equipment as well.

MT?PMT?FT?Other?

Yeah, that is pretty much what most people do. NS has more other kind of events. II has wars, stores, and most other RPs. Some people like to use NS for character rp's, but I am not an expert on that.

Franberry, I have not really decided on what tech level I am in. What are tech levels again?

Oh, to help Caucasia:

MT: Mopdern Tech. Real systems only.

PMT: Post modern Tech. Up until 2015 for low PMT, 2030 for medium, and 2050 high.

FT: Future Tech. Year 3 billio nand beyond. FTL travel, other galaxies, spaceships, lasers... etc.

I'm low PMT.

Soem people also like to do past tech, which varies at any technology level in the past, and fantasy tech, swrods and sorcery, etc.

FT is really anything, not even always measured in earth time, but there are limits accepted by most people. If you do decide to be FT, I would definitely be your ally and there is a great alliance I am part of that I think you would like. FT also sometimes even uses different species.

Hey GC, if you want an ally I'm all up for it. Better let you know though, if you're attacked, we'll do what we can to shift other nations into your favor, but we don't have much of a millitary ourselves that will be able to come to your aid.

Hello, Moantha. I would like it if you were a ally of my nation and I understand fully on the military issue and I like it that you would get other nations to back and aid me. Thanks.

Well if you want we can make you a protectorate of our nation, you retain full sovernty and as long as your not the agressor we'll protect your nation with our military if you get attacked. though it might be better if we place a base in your nation for rapid reactions.

we're low PMT/MT and FT but we seperate the two so they don't cross, a few nations do this.

Animarnia, a alliance would be good but as for being a protectorate, I don't know about that.

same as an alliance really just put a military base in your nation and we only help you if your on the defensive rather than the agressor...

Well a fact book is basically stuff a bout your nation, like military strenght, GDP, national research, currancy, goverment officales and stuff like that . it takes a while to do...ours is currently in a spreadsheet. I recomend looking at some others to get an idea of what do put in one

I can't give you others off the top of my head, I recomend looking at Automagfreak's, the Macabee's, McKagan's(sp?), Leafanstani's, Wilinks and a few others from the more respected RPers here for guidance on fact books.

As for an explanation, it's basically a battle with blanks/paintballs, to see who's got the best weaponry, what our weaknesses are, etc. Generally, in the intrests of fun. Should we make this a small or large scale? (full armies or very small squads and brigades?)
