OOC: just a note, please try to stick with the RP, if you join, try not to leave till it's over. TY!
IC:
Dispite the overall freedom loving nature of the Bioligins, there are somethings that they don't agree on, and can't take it. On of the more isolated Habitats, along with the people onboard, have disided they don't like what the main government is doing.
Recently there has been testing of Anti-matter superweapons, and rumors of even more powerful weapons being tested on deep-space asteroids. Although the opre isolationist habitats have been ok with this, wanting to be able to defend themselves against xenocs. A few disagreed, for the most part in congress they discussed this, but the argument to keep the weapons won over.
But, there were some who weren't going to live with it, a small percent of the population. They all gathered on the Jolorna Habitat, a deep space habitat that's relativly empty. Out of the 4 million people living there, about a quarter of them are against the weapons, they also convinced the habitat to go along with them.
Now, 700 biohawks from other habitats were stareing down at the 100 who agree with the no weapons policy. Though no communications were detected tensions grew, weapons were charged, bug launchers loaded. Untill war broke out.
2800 bugs, small weapon carrier constructs, leaped out from the attacking biohawks, and 400 were launched back. The bugs spun off insects, which each were a single shot weapon, ranging from Gamma-ray lasers to kenetic missiles. A few were even fusion bombs. In the massive cloud of insects and bugs, with lasers flashing around slicing through other targets a few fusion insects snuck through and impacted a rebel biohawk. The result was a massive flash of light and radiation. The reaction is about 4 or 5 megatons, destroying, sometimes, 2 or 3 biohawks at a time. Through out this armageton of explosions, lasers and radiation a single message punched punched through the interferance, it was simple but strong.
"We are under attack by a more powerful force, we need assistance."

A Fluidian fleet of ten Frigates (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_frigate.jpg), twenty Scouts (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_scout.jpg), fifteen Destroyers (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_destroy.jpg), five Behemoths (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_behemoth.jpg), thirty Cruisers (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_cruise1.jpg), eight Battleships (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_battle.jpg), and twelve Launchers (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_cruise2.jpg) dropped out of warp five million kilometers from the battle.
The Mother (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_mother.jpg) that created these ships had picked up the Biologin transmission and sent them to investigate.
OOC: I didn't send many ships because I RP them as canon strength and abilities. Thus, they can give Borg tech a run for its money.

Luck was on the side of the senders of the message. After some time, the message was picked up by an exploratory conquest Dominion fleet, which heard the message, slightly garbled, but was able to decipher the intent decently. Backtracking the coordinates, the fleet was able to triangulate the message's origins, not far for a simple hyperjump. Activating hyperengines, the fleet blasted out of the current system, bound for the fighting.
Jumping out about twenty minutes later, the fight between the biohawks was still actively going on. Admiral Sunry Karath, commanding the flagship Vindicator-class dreadnought Guarlara stepping in front of the viewscreen, watched the battle unfold for a little before broadcasting a statement on all channels.
"By the order of the Amazonian Dominion, to prevent the destruction of your vessels, I order the aggressor of this action to back off immediately."

The Fluidian ships detected the Amazonian fleet's arrival and, after a telepathic conversation between the Pilot of each, moved into an intercept course and prepped for battle.
A simple telepathic message was sent to the Amazonian fleet's commanding officer:
<As you can see, this is an internal matter for them. You technophiles are not to interfere unless directly asked by their government. We will make sure you comply with our 'request'.>

Undaunted by the arrogant Fluidans, Karath responded bluntly.
"Don't worry, fools, we recieved the same message that you have likely picked up. If we really wanted to kill them all, we would've brought in a battlefleet."

OOC: The arrogance is an IC thing. As is the dislike of non-organic technology (why you were called technophiles).
IC: A telepathic response was sent:
<We have battled, defeated, and drove out the Borg that dared invade our home space. What makes you think you can frighten us. We only intend to make sure you do not engage any ships at all. Let them settle internal matters on their own, technophiles. Though, if it had been an outside agressor, our response to the situation might have been different.>
The Fluidian ships continued to move between the Bilogin craft engaged in combat, and the incoming Amazonian fleet.
OOC: Note, due to the unique nature of my ships, they are counted as the 5% of my population used for military stuff.

OOC: I know about Species 8472...just, at the same time, my military officers view all others with disdain in some form or another.
IC: Karath was growing slightly impatient...though his short temper was lasting longer than many officers's in his situation would have.
"Right, and calls for help are generally ignored? I think you can not see the situation clearly!"

OOC: Ehh, mine are 8472 with a twist to make them more sociable for relations with other nations and some other things (not alot of canon info on them, so I had to make some stuff up to fill in the blanks).
IC: <That is the way of things. The weak perish and the strong survive to ensure their genetics live on in the next generation.>

"Less of a concern," replied Karath hotly, "when one side here clearly has the numerical advantage. A dishonorable victory, this will go down as if the side with more craft shall emerge victorious."
Fluidians
06-04-2006, 02:09
OOC: I'm assuming you have more ships than I do, AB. I know Bio does.
IC: <Numerical superiority is not always an indication of who will win in a battle. Besides, how would you know which side has the numbers and which side asked for help?>
Amazonian Beasts
06-04-2006, 02:12
OOC: More ships, yeah, but a lot of them aren't all that large.
IC: "I think it is easily clear which side has the numbers by simply watching the battle going on. As to which side called for help, I was going to ascertain that fact with my transmission."
Fluidians
06-04-2006, 02:16
OOC: Most of my ships are small as well. For example, my Scouts are no larger then the scout ship from Insurrection.
IC: <Then you will wait. Interfere now and you may find yourselves the target of both sides. Everything is not always as they seem and you wouldn't want to be drawn into a trap, or would you?>
Amazonian Beasts

"So be it...we shall wait for a response from the fighting forces."

OOC:Sry for the late post, I have that whole 'sleep' thing :D. Also, my ships/habitats/weapons are also biotech, but they are based off of the book: 'Reality Dysfunction' insted of startrek.
IC:
"Please, we need *static*, I'm the Jolorna habitat, please *static*, marking position *static*, watch out." Came the reply through the ever growing field of interferance from the fusion detonations.
Out of the thick of the explosions flew a trio of Biohawks, they left the battle, launching a single slavo of bugs behind them, a couple veered towards the habitat to attack, before turning to meet the Alien forces. On of them had a radio transmitter, and, now that it was free of the interferance, could transmit.
"Attention techno ships, this matter is being taken care of by the Bioligin government, the rebels are being destroyed now. Please remain at a safe distance so a stray weapon dosn't lock on to you."
As this was happening the biotech ships were sweeping their distortion fields over the alien ships. The field is a gravometric distortion, and is detectable by such sensors, but it also tends to send artificial gravity generators haywire with supposid problems, though no damage is acutally being done. The field picks up any mass within it, so it forms a very exact 3d picture of the space around the ship.
Through out the malestrom of battle, a single strangly shaped egg like thing drifted towards the habitat. It was alive, yes, but it had a very simple purpose, hit the habitat, and explode. Within it was a moderate quantity of anti-matter, enough to destroy the habitat.

The message to Karath from the station was unclear...at best. He wasn't in the mood to risk his fleet over something he couldn't even understand, so he decided to bide his time, waiting for a course of action to occur. In the meantime, Karath spread the fleet into a battle formation, in the pretext of possible incursion by the Bioligin spacecraft.
