Across the various collective farms a strange virus seemed to be rotting the various crops that were meant to feed the citizens of the People's Republic. The crops would after a matter of days be completely and totally inedible. Across the People's Republic of Orleia. The people were beginning to starve. The nation's surplus of food was starting to become depleted under this new and deadly strain of lack of additional crops. The farms that were unaffected by this plight were unable to take up the slack. The worst part was the virus seemed to be spread. The People's Republic of Orleia tried to quarantine the areas to prevent this deadly virus from reaching the productive farms however this policy failed and soon 95% of the farms were unusable to grow and produce crops.

The People were already starving and dying. The Party had legalized hunting of local animals and other ways of gathering food but it still did not help. The People's Republic of Orleia could not handle the food crisis for long and people were begging the Government for help. The Orleian Revolutionary Guard attempted to cleanse the farms by burning them to the ground and rebuilding them after the virus was cleansed from the area. The Government predicted this action would take several years to recover from and hundreds of thousands would die unless something was done to get food relief and hopefully medical supplies.


The Politburo lead by Premier Yuri Leveniz unanimously voted to ask for help from outside nations to gain international relief. The Politburo hoped that the nations outside of the People's Republic of Orleia would be charitable to their fellow people rather than corrupt Bourgeoisie nations that would just attempt to keep the People's Republic starving and weak….

The message was sent to every nation possible to ask for international relief…

Nations of the world, The People's Republic of Orleia is seeking food and medical relief from the massive plague that has struck our agricultural industry. The citizens are starving from lack of food supplies and many have already died with the death toll around several thousand and counting. The People's Republic of Orleia would be greatly indebted to any nation that helped the People's Republic in this dark hour.

We have something which may help your farms. It is a sealed system called an integrated multistory organic farm. Basically it copies a biosphere with a series of crops that complete a closed loop ecology. There is a diversity of crops which complete the life cycle-- mushrooms and edible fungi, peas and beans, rice and wheat, miniature fruit trees, flowers, fish tanks, kelp, and chickens and pigs. There are soil beds and hydroponics in the building. We can build several of these systems if you are interested. It costs $30 million for a single five story building. There is little or no need for pesticides because it is a sealed environment and uses a natural system of pest prevention. Note: Because this is a complete closed loop this is PMT-- Biosphere 2 didn't quite succeed. An incomplete one is also available, you would have to bring outside material into this however, risking contamination.

It would take a while for us to build these and we would have to train your people in how the computerized monitoring and ecological systems for the internal environments work.

In the meantime we are sending 1000 tons of fish and 200 tons of edible kelp from our aquaculture farms. We are also sending 10-- 1,000 gallon per day capacity seawater to water conversion units.
