OOC-[NS]Zukariaa, this is the thread we will do this all on. I will be able to assist you with things as best as I can.

Alright. Thank you!

Emperor Zuka received word that Michelle Phocas of Roman Greece (is that the name of your country?) would be his bride. He had heard that she was quiet beautiful. He ordered his men to create a huge banquet with feasts and entertainment. If the lady wanted anything, it would be given to her.

OOC-Anytime. You are welcome. Roman Greece is my nation's name

IC-Michelle Phocas fixed herself up in formal attire for her trip to the nation of Zukariaa. There, she would meet their new Emperor, Zuka who succeded to the throne from his late father (Roman Greece sends its condolences). Michelle said farewell to her friends and family and then boarded a plane. The plane took off and in some time, landed in a airport in the capital of the Zukarians. When the plane landed, Michelle came out, expecting to be greeted by respectable officals of Emperor Zuka.

Zuka had sent his best men to the airport. Michelle would be taken by limozine to the royal palace. This was a one time thing, however. The Zukarians looked down on technology when it was not completely neccasary, for their own reasons. The limozine reached the royal palace within an hour. The airport was in an out of the way place where it would not bother anyone.

(The Zukarian Empire is medieval, although in war they use guns, and for very special occasions they use vehicles. They look down on technology, but use it when it would be idiotic not to. Also, they are very religous.)

OOC-I know about your nation's Medievalness. I don't mind it, it is interesting. And, I am sure Michelle will be fascinated by your people's religion.

IC-Michelle went to the Royal Palace, escorted by some officals. When she saw the Emperor, she bowed respectfully and said ''I am Michelle Phocas, from the nation of Roman Greece.'' She bowed again and stood, waiting for the Emperor to reply. She was fascinated by the architecture, etc of the Emperor's palace and by the Emperor's nation and people.

Zuka smiled,"No need to bow. You are to be my bride, yes? Why should an Empress bow?" He took her hand and led her to an extremely long table. Nobles sat in every seat, and as the two walked passed them, the nodded their heads in approval. The two sat in two seats at the very end of the table. A meal was given to each person, the best for Michelle and Zuka.
"So, is there anything you would like to know about the great land of Zukaria?" he asked.
Roman Greece
03-04-2006, 04:28
''I understand, Your Majesty.'' Michelle said. When they went to the table, Michelle greeted the nobles. As she ate the food that was served, Michelle said ''May you tell me some info on your nation? If I am to be Empress, I would like to know the nation I am to be Empress of.'' ''By the way, this food is well done. Tell whoever made it that they are a great chef.'' Michelle was going to be an Empress, so she would learn of the nation she was in.

"The country? Well, the entire country is covered by a great green forest, full of anything you can imagine, as I'm sure you'd seen. There are small villages scattered across the entire country. Within the miles around Zuka City there are hundreds. Some containing only twenty people. You are probably wandering why everything is named for the emperor, no?" he laughed,"Well, my ancestor, Zuka I was had an extremely big ego. When he founded Zukaria, he simply named it all after himself.
"You may be wandering why the airport was in the middle of nowhere, or why the only vehicle on the roads was the one you were in? Well, our people wish to have nothing to do with foreign technology. It is nothing to do with laws or religoun, only something of a tradition. Ah, yes. Religoun. Not much to say. We are a Christian country. Hmm... is there anything else you wish to know? Or am I boring you?"
Roman Greece
03-04-2006, 04:40
''Nonsense, you are not boring me at all. The info you have given me about your country is very interesting to listen to. It helps me to know what I am the Empress of.'' Michelle said. ''There is nothing else for now I would like to know but I would like a tour of your nation or its capital if able to.'' Michelle said, finishing her dinner. ''Thank you for telling me all the info. I will remember it.''
[NS]Zukariaa
03-04-2006, 04:47
"Of course! We can see the city now, if you'd like." Zuka finished his dinner and had a servant take their plates.

OOC-Would you like to walk through the city or have him point stuff out from a balcony or something? Its a pretty big city, after all.
Roman Greece
03-04-2006, 04:49
OOC-Whichever one you want to do. A walk or balcony, you decide.

IC-''That would be interesting and exciting. Let's do it.'' Michelle said, going with Emperor Zuka.
[NS]Zukariaa
03-04-2006, 04:57
OOC-Meh, a walk.

Zuka led her back out through the entrance of the palace and down through the courtyard, pointing out the stone columns and statues that had once been in ancient ruins of a people unknown. As they left the palace grounds, Zuka led her down through the market district, pointing out that every shop in the city was in the area. Practically every family owned a store for their main sorce of income.
There was nothing really interesting there, so he led her through the city gardens. It was beautiful. Great trees and flowers grew everywhere, long vines grew along the building in the center. Statues sat amongst the plants as well, and birds and squirrels walked around in it. Even the oddly misplaced national animal, the lhama.
"Its illegal to hunt here, even though rabbits, squirrels, and deer are common."

Michelle listened to every word of info spoken by the Emperor on the tour. She enjoyed it and enjoyed learning about the country she would be Empress of. ''I don't mind, I am not really much of a hunter.'' Michelle said, concerning the hunting. She found the fact of everyone owning a store to be interesting.
''The llama is the national animal? Did Zuka I start that?'' Michelle asked.
[NS]Zukariaa

Zuka continued to walk with Michelle through the very lage, elaborate gardens.
"Yes, but simply because they seem misplaced." he said, with a laugh.

**I keep getting problems where I can't post, because it says I'm offline when I actually AM online. :?
Roman Greece
03-04-2006, 23:06
OOC-I sometimes have the same problem.

Michelle laughed a little also before saying ''Zuka, if I may drop the formal titles with respect, may we see a cultural festival of some kind?''
[NS]Zukariaa
03-04-2006, 23:13
OOC-What kind of festival do you have in mind?
Roman Greece
03-04-2006, 23:16
OOC-One that shows the culture of your nation.
[NS]Zukariaa
03-04-2006, 23:27
OOC-Well, how would I show medieval culture? Like the peasants selling off there livestock and crops? Maybe a tour of a farming village?
Roman Greece
03-04-2006, 23:33
All that would be good. To show Medieval culture, just have a festival opened that is about your culture. It can be called Zukarian Culture Day. And a tour of a farming village would be good.
[NS]Zukariaa
03-04-2006, 23:53
OOC-I'll just go with a village tour. I can't think of any festivals or anything.

"How about we tour one of the villages not to far outside the city walls? There, you can see what the people who do not live within the city do to make a living."
Roman Greece
03-04-2006, 23:56
''That would be great. I have seen many villages in my lifetime.'' Michelle said. ''Let's go to the villages before they close up, by that I mean everyone is asleep.'' Michelle said.

OOC-That is ok with me.
[NS]Zukariaa
04-04-2006, 00:14
"Alright. Follow me." he said, he led her through a small housing districs, past the guarding towers and garrison, and out the main gates. As they left, it was only a half hour walk before they reached the village called Hersi. Zuke pointed to a small house, saying that it was a typical peasant farmer's home. It had a wavy straw roof. Thatched over and over again over the years. The rest was simply logs pushed together as a foundation. Zuka and Michelle entered the house. The peasant man who lived there began to yell, but then realized that it was the Emperor, and quickly bowed.
Zuka ignored this, and Zuka pointed out the floor, wich was dirt. There was no wood or stone floor. The furniture was wooden and the room was dusty. They left, went around to the back, and Zuka showed Michelle a large crop of corn and wheat. To the side were animals: pigs, cows, and chickens.
"This is where food for the entire Empire comes-farming villages such as these. The noble who rules over each village pays the farmers a good deal of money for the supplies, thenhas them shipped out around the empire. It works rather well. Hmm, is there anything else you would like to see? I have no objections."
Roman Greece
04-04-2006, 00:20
Michelle nodded and followed the Emperor. Since it was a half hour walk, Michelle chatted with Zuka for a while. Michelle listened to the Emperor talk about the peasant's house. Michelle greeted the peasant man and then went back to listening to Zuka speak about the house. ''This house is small but I am sure people make use of it.'' Michelle said. Michelle listened to the Emperor speak about nobles shipping out food products and all that. ''Zuka, I know what I would like to see next. Could we see the marketplaces and see what products they sell?'' Michelle asked.
[NS]Zukariaa
04-04-2006, 00:30
"Of course." Zuka said,"All marketplaces are in the village square, all village squares, or town squares, surround the chapel."
Zuka pointed towards a four story building made of stone, with small spires twisting from here and there. Near the top was a large circular pane glass window. It was out of place in the small town, wich was roughly circular.

He led her to the marketplace and pointed out shops and others: Farming Supplier, The Pub, The Library, A Small Museum, The Stables, and Weapons.
"Weapons are always nearby. Zukaria has been invaded many times, and hunters must get their equipment from somewhere."
Roman Greece
04-04-2006, 01:18
OOC-Sorry for late reply.

IC-Michelle listened to all that the Emperor said. She enjoyed the tour of the marketplaces, seeing the chapels and stores and the booths of merchants. ''A good weapon supply helps a nation that has suffered many invasions.'' Michelle said. ''Zuka, what would you like to do? I can't really think of much.'' Michelle stated.
[NS]Zukariaa
04-04-2006, 01:32
OOC-Are they married yet? Also, I can't really think of anything for them to do.

"Maybe we should return to the city. I am sure that the nobels are wandering where we are, especially seeing that we are currently at war in foreign lands."
Roman Greece
04-04-2006, 01:40
OOC-I was thinking that myself. Let's start the wedding when they get back to the city.

IC-''I know. The nobles will worry where their Emperor and his bride are.'' Michelle said. ''Thanks for all the tours and everything else.'' Michelle told Zuka.
[NS]Zukariaa
04-04-2006, 01:48
OOC-Alright.

When Zuka and Michelle arrived, the nobels all cheered in unison.
"Whats happening?" asked Zuka.
One yelled,"Its wedding time! You're here just on time!"
It was true. Down at the end of the huge Great Hall was an arch. Behind it was a small podium for a priest. Organs started to play.
"So it is.."
Roman Greece
04-04-2006, 01:52
Michelle and Zuka walked towards the people. ''If it is our wedding now, we should have got ourselves wedding outfits.'' Michelle said. ''Zuka, I will be your bride and your nation's Empress.'' Michelle said.
[NS]Zukariaa
04-04-2006, 01:59
OOC-How are we going to go through the wedding?

"The clothes we are wearing are ok."
Roman Greece
04-04-2006, 02:06
OOC-Just have a traditional wedding with a priest or justice of the peace.

IC-''Actually, yes, they are ok to wear.'' Michelle said.
[NS]Zukariaa
04-04-2006, 02:08
OOC-Would you mind going through it?
[NS]Zukariaa
04-04-2006, 02:54
Bumpage. You there?
Roman Greece
04-04-2006, 22:45
OOC-Please forgive me for my disapperance. I had issues to deal with. My post will be like a traditional wedding would be.

IC-The priest or justice of the peace called the couple together and said the standard things. ''Emperor Zuka, do you take Michelle Phocas of Roman Greece to be your wife, to cherish, love and to hold, to protect, till death do you part?'' the priest said to Emperor Zuka, he needed his reply first before going to Michelle.

"I do." he said.

OOC-sorry, couldn't find this topic
Roman Greece
06-04-2006, 00:42
OOC-Ok with me. I understand.

The man turned to Michelle and said to her the same things. ''I do.'' Michelle said, smiling at the Emperor. ''I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride, as they say.'' The man said. People were cheering for the couple, wishing them a prosperous marriage. Roman Greek ambassadors were also wishing well the newlyweds.
[NS]Zukariaa
06-04-2006, 01:01
OOC-Well, now what do they do?
Roman Greece
06-04-2006, 01:17
OOC-I guess we can end it here if you want. Also, be free to use Michelle in any of your future RPG's.
