Owing to the need for funds to improve Kahanistan's war machine, and hoping to improve economic and political ties to nations with like ideals, the Democratic Soviet Republic of Kahanistan announces that it will be selling arms.

Rules:

1. Do your own math, failure to do so will result in 10% being added to your bill. Incorrect math results in 1% being added to your bill, so always do your math, even if you suck at it. You'll improve.

2. You must have a decent human rights record. KMI only sells to nations with the following UN categories:

4. If you have suggestions for a Middle Eastern weapon I don't already have, mention it here or in my OOC thread. I check it more often than I check my TG's. Also, I'm getting most of my information from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page), and it has little to no information on some weapons. If you have information, link me to it and I'll update my list, and you will be listed to receive a 10% discount on all future purchases.

OOC: The Tiberium is mutating people living in villages in the mountains. They are called 'The Forgotten' or Shiners. The Loyalists, Reformists and most definately Kraven don't care and Kraven is actively killing them. So far they secretly control a small fishing port that is unfrozen but covered with Tiberium Algae that is thick and is preventing shipping. Perhaps an airdrop? They are paying through a black market Tiberium sale and have accumlated a couple million dollars.

Anarchism has its flaws, but a lack of regard for human rights is not among them. For your armored needs, we would recommend the Merkava III or IV MBT. They continue to serve well in the Kahanistanian military. By the way, we, too, are decreasing our military spending, as we spend far more than is sane on defense.

Presumably you assume that neither economic considerations, industrial capabilities, licensing laws, local technology levels, or any other IC factors have the capacity to impact on your universal maxim that "all NS nations can produce all real-world technology".

The fact is that, based on whatever situation a particular nation might be in, it is not true that all NS nations can produce any item of real-world hardware. For instance, they might lack the capability.

There was a rule put out there a while back that no NS nation can say "Yeah, well the Eurofighter is mine and no one else can use it!". Basicly, everyone has access to all real-world equipment. The only exclusive equipment is custom stuff.

The Southeast Asian Ministry of Defense has been assisting the Democratic Soviet Republic in its quest for military reforms, and one of those forms of assistance came in the proposal of a joint partnership between the state-owned Kahanistan Military Industries and the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland's most famous company, the Royal Shipyards of Isselmere-Nieland.

During the conference, the Minister of Defense suggested a joint design with the Soviet Republic. It would be based on the Duchy-class conventional-powered heavy cruiser....and that was when we were reminded of a Portland Iron Works design - the Oceania-class trimaran large escort vessel (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=437113). The Oceania was conceived from the old TAMD Mark III line of escort vessels from Artitsa, and also thanks to Axis Novan doctrine regarding the so-called "super dreadnaughts" that many navies have, and both supporters and detractors are galvanized by. And also, with regards to observation from the amount of treatment Super Dreadnaughts and or entire naval fleets are often met with - missile saturation strikes and tactical nuclear weapon strikes - the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy got thinking.

However, thanks to political reasons and economic reasons (the Panic of 2006), we were originally intending to procure the Oceania-class trimaran large escort vessel to fill in a niche our naval forces lacked, but could not do so. However, we gave the custom request to the Beltway, but we also decided to give both the Royal Shipyards and the Kahanistan Military Industries a shot. After all, the Kahanistan Republic Navy has been eager to prove itself for once and for all that it was not a joke, and that despite the fact that the Soviet Republic has only one coastal city (Al-Bahr), it still does have a potent shipbuilding industry.

So, what does the Royal Shipyards and the Kahanistan Military Industries say to this notion of a trimaran large escort vessel, totally revamped from the Duchy-class hull?

We would prefer a design based more on the superior Sianach-class destroyer which is already seeing service in the Republic Navy. The Duchy has not seen service in our military and our crews have next to no experience with it.

A trimaran escort seems interesting, it would be most difficult to sink and could continue to draw enemy fire even when incapacitated. Whether the Admiralty would go to the expense of purchasing such a vessel, we do not know.

Perhaps when KMI hears back from the RSIN* we will discuss this proposition further. In the meantime KMI is working on two new designs in its draftroom, the B-96 Nemesis heavy tactical bomber and the Machbet II radarless air defense system.
