Welcome to the International Exchange Bank. This is a place where you can open an account, exchange your currency, and make a profit! The IEB is upkept by the country of Geneticon. You can give your currency up for exchange, and bank (no pun intended) on the fact that the currency's value that you exhange into will go up!

Rules:

- In this thread, Geneticon is in charge and exchanges will be overseen by Geneticon. Geneticon holds the right to deny accounts to members, or make an immediate withdrawal of funds with due cause (OOC: In other words, if you break a rule or defy me or get under my nerves, I will cash you out ASAP and close your account)
- No Godmodding of my acceptance of accounts... have patience.
- Do the math for me as outlined below... I will double check to make sure it's right, but it makes it easier if you do it (at least in part) for me.
- If you make a math mistake or do not do the math at all, you will be charged 3% of your current account.
- The idea of this thread is to create an open market where everyone makes money! If you come into this thread intending to make war, go away.

- If you over-invest (buy more than you have in your budget) your order will be denied with a warning. Two warnings later, and you're banned from this Bank.

How this works:

Overview

The basic purpose of the IEB is to make you money! NS Players can use money in their Commerce budget and unspent money in their Military budget to invest in foreign currencies. Countries may wish to place their currency on the Bank's market, and allow other to invest in the currency. In all cases, the IEB acts as the go-between and works the transaction. Therefore, the IEB could realize profit or loss depending on the investments.

Currencies

The first two currencies to be marketed on the IEB are the US dollar and the Genesis, the currency of the United States and the currency of Geneticon respectively. A key is below to help you understand the currencies and use abreviations.

If you wish for your currency to be marketed, declare this inclination in a post, requesting that your currency be marketed. Give the name of the currency and it's abrevation (usually around 2-4 letters, with different capitalization). If it is accepted, the currency will be immediately open on the market, and if someone chooses to invest in your currency, the IEB will buy the currency and perform the transaction.

Opening An Account

On the economy tracker, all of your government figures are in your countries currency. If you wish to invest in another currency, you must first open an account. Request for an account to be opened, and immediately convert the ammount you are investing into USDs. This can be done by looking at your nation's exhange rate.

Example:

You wish to open an account with 40 million of your currency. According to the economy tracker, your exchange rate is $1.05 of your currency = $1 USD. Now, take the ammount of your currency (40,000,000) and divide that by your half of the exchange rate (1.05) and then multiply it by the US dollar half of the rate (1). Round the answer to two decimals. The answer is (38095238.10). That's how much your account is now worth in USD.

Use this procedure to open an account. Just tell me how much your depositing in your currency, then tell me how much that translates into in USDs. The USD is the go between in all transactions.

Investing in Other Currencies

Once you've opened an account, you can use the money to transfer into other currencies. Seeing how exchange rates change daily, if you buy a currency with a low exchange rate and sell with a high exchange rate, you can make a profit!

What you need to do here is find a currency you wish to invest in, covert your USDs to that, and then wait for the rate to move!

Example:

Let's use the former figure we ended with in the last example: 38095238.10. Say you want to transfer all of that to Geneticon Genesis'. (as of 3/31, the exchange rate for the GeN is $1 GeN = $1.0916) So now what you need to do is convert your dollars to genesis'. First, divide the ammount you are investing (38095238.10) by the dollar amount of the exchange rate (1.0916). Then, multiply the answer by the foriegn currency half of the exchange rate (1). The answer in this case is (34898532.52). That would be how much GeNs you have invested in within the bank.

To make a profit, you would transfer back when the exhange rate is higher, and thus would recieve a higher dollar amount, meaning profit.

All gains and losses are realized inversly by the IEB. In other words, if you make a profit, the IEB experiences a loss. When you make a loss, the IEB profits.

Closing an Account

Ultimately, you don't make or lose any money until you have closed your account. It's just like any other investment. Until you sell, you haven't gained or lost anything. When you wish to close you account, let me know by posting on this board, and then we will convert your USDs back into your currency. Then your done.

You can always deposit or withdraw any amount of money (within the limits below) at your own discretion.

Final Rules

Deposits, Withdrawals, or tranfers to (notice not from) a foreign currency must always be worth atleast over 25 million USD.

When you open an account, you will recieve an account number. Please let us know who is authorized to use the account.

When you make future transactions, use the account number to verify.

Every RL month, account members will recieve 1% interest on their USD holdings, courtesy of the IEB.
