New Bonstock, Luxoria, 8:31 PM

The great king, King Harold Luxor IV of Luxoria, stood at the podium, in front of a screaming crowd of fifty-thousand people. Sitting in Aryixa Memorial Stadium, he began to speak in a booming but gentle voice.

"People of Great Luxoria, it is I, your King! I come bringing great news of progress in our mighty nation! Our noble workers have discovered great quantities of wealth in the northern mountains, which has made our nation wealthy beyond imagination! We have put this great material wealth to a greater purpose. Our schools, industry, and environment will benefit from this huge find. Behold, a new era of peace in prosperity in the Luxoria homeland!"

He outstretched his aged arms. He was slightly fat, but looked very warm and friendly. The crowd roared even louder, and the King smiled. It was moments like these that made him proud to be the guardian and protector of his subjects. Then, two of his guards got up, and approached him. The King turned just to see a syringe enter his neck. Then, from the dark recesses of the stadium, approached a dark figure. Baron Ludwig von Lancastle, the king's highest advisor, looked through his box seat. A loyalist threw a piece of food at his guards, and soon the crowd emerged in chaos. He gave a dark, merciless look to the crowd, and then stepped back and looked at the guards.

"Kill them all."

The screams and the innocent filled the night air.

East Corinth Mine No. 19

The sounds of death were soon replaced by the sounds of work. Drilling and blasting dominated one's ears, as sweaty miner paced back in forth, blackened by the dark earth around them. A young man, with mousy hair, only twenty or so, moved out, carrying a small drill bit to one of the men there. Then, an urgent looking man ran to the youth, panting as he tried to get his words out.

"Prince...your...father...please...come!"

The youth's happy face was replaced with concern, as he followed the messenger to a command center of the mine. Several hours later, he was being told of the occurrence in the stadium.

"All those people are dead?"

The aide replied softly, "There were no reported survivors, Prince Leonardo." The young man's face contorted with terror. "My father...is...dead?" The aide placed his hand on the Prince's shoulder. "I'm afraid so, your majesty." He looked up, a tear visible in his eye. He soon brushed it off, rising. "We must stop this man before he is allowed to complete his overthrow of the Royal Family. As the only heir to Luxoria, this is my duty." The aide turned to a map. "Our loyal forces report that installations at Fort Fergison, Fort Brawley Area 88, and Zonar Naval Base have either fallen or have defected to the rebel forces. They had much of the military's backing as well. Already West Corinth is under siege by the Baron's troops." The Prince sighed. "We must evacuate the cities population to the Lanser Isles; they'll be safe there until we can stop this mad struggle."

The aide then prepared to answer this order. "All military bases west of Lora have stopped responding to our orders as well. We have confirmed reports of Ft. Brawley falling to the rebel armored forces, but the others are unknown, however, we have received this message. He hit a button on the command console.

"Long live the Republic of Luxoria! We will prevail against the aristocratic scum! Long live liberty!"

The Prince was visibly shaken. "Our homeland is being torn asunder, my good friend. We must right this wrong at once." The aide was about to respond when a boom shook the center. "What in heavens name..." The pair rushed outside, and a nervous guard greeted them. "Brave comrades, we must get out, the city is being bombed!" As he said this, a shockwave knocked them off their feet, as bomb fell into the mine. The guard helped the two up, yelling "Please, before we all perish!" The Prince looked him straight in the eye. "No, we must help the miners out!" He ran towards the locker room, determined to rescue the trapped miners, followed reluctantly by his guards. The aide ran back into the control room, determined to find an available fighter squadron.

Meanwhile, bombs ripped through the heart of East Corinth, murdering innocent civilians in the thousands.

"My lord, our bombers have attacked the King's supporters in East Corinth, the mine where the Prince is was confirmed to be hit by four bombs and a BB-03 bunker busting munition. It is a shambles, and the heir is dead. That leaves you in control of the country."

The baron turned, revealing his scarred face. Over his left eye rested an eyepatch, and his right one stared cruely at his aide. "Servevus, send a message to the world, we may need allies in the times ahead of us."

"Right away, milord."

He walked to another window, looking out at New Bonstock. His followers roamed the streets, making sure the populace was loyal to him, the new king. He was to be a symbol of power and strength, unlike that weak fool Harold. He would feel the error of his ways soon, for he had been sent to the Halls of Pain, the Baron's secret torture chamber. The Baron smiled as he thought of the King's screaming face. He then sat down at his desk and composed a message.

From: King Lancastle I
To: The World

Greetings, nations of the world. I am King Lancastle I, of Luxoria. A mere hour ago, a combined terrorist attack claimed the lives of both King Harold Luxor IV and his son, Prince Leonardo Luxor. We are still struggling to find evidence of the perpetrators, and the nation requests aid from any nation willing to enter an alliance with Luxoria in it's time of need.

Thank you, and good night.

"What do we know about Luxoria?" the Prime Minister of The Beltway, seated behind the Oval Office desk, asked upon hearing the Deputy Foreign Minister.

"It seems to be an absolute, but relatively benign, monarchy. We have little information about it, however..." replied Kostas Alexakis, trailing off. He had remained the Deputy Foreign Minister under the new administration. It had been a unanimous vote to reconfirm Alexakis; both Democrats and Republicans had been impressed by the man's work.

"However...what? I'd like to know anything you know about Luxoria, even rumors," the Prime Minister said.

"According to the sketchy details we have on the country, Luxoria has always been a monarchy - or, to be more accurate, two monarchies up until the King who just died took the throne of New Bonstock and married the reigning queen of the rival state of Jiladia. Also, there are rumors of pro-democracy movements being continually repressed by local authorities in Luxoria over the last ten years; however, the Foreign Ministry cannot confirm these rumors," Alexakis replied.

"Thank you. I suppose we don't need to get involved as yet?" the Prime Minister asked.

"No, not at this time. I'll draft a simple message of condolences, and keep you informed of more significant developments," Alexakis said, then left at the PM's nod.

I hope you don't mind that I added a bit of backstory to Luxoria.

Ray AFB, 9:52 PM

"Sir, we have calls from West Corinth, they are under attack from an unknown bomber force, and they need assistance." An officer on duty in the command room checked reports from Orion Intl. Airport. Indeed, five B-52H Stratofortresses had attacked the city, bombing nearby mines and the airport itself, killing many civilians. He responded. "Get Hawkeye, Vex and Squire in the air; put Weston and Hollywood on standby, we need to intercept these aircraft before they can complete their bombing runs. As he said that, three pilots scrambled from their locker room, running with full flight gear as an air raid siren resounded in their ears.

Reaching the first hanger, the watched as their EF-2000s were equipped with a load of older American-made missiles. Unlike their Baronic opponents, who had secretly imported loads of hardware before the coup, the remainder of the Royal Air Force had largely outdated equipment, with the exception of these EF-2000s and a few Rafale-Ms in the navy. They took off, pushing to supersonic velocities towards the embattled city. Along with five B-52Hs, the enemy also had brought along eight F-4s to protect them. No sooner were they over the battlefield when a missile lock was achieved on them. A four-ship formation of Phantoms streaked about ten thousand feet above them, releasing a barrage of Adder AAMs at them. The Eurofighter immediately broke formation, dispensing chaff and activating jammers in order to shake the missiles. Regardless, an Adder slammed into Vex's aircraft, detonating fuel and weapons, replacing the aircraft with a massive fireball. The EF-2000s returned fire, their own AIM-120 AMRAAMs destroying two of the Phantoms before they closed in on them.

They the proceeded to do a dance of death, two separate one on one battles going on above the flaming streets of West Corinth. Hawkeye managed to down one of the enemies with his internal cannon in a steep dive; his opponent crashing into a building below, killing the occupants inside, as his wing mate managed to evade the fourth F-4 long enough to terminate him with an AIM-9X. It was then that the other F-4s came in, opening up with their own long-range missiles. Squire's aircraft, hit twice, plummeted to the ground, his canopy blowing off and ejecting. Hawkeye was somewhat luckier, and was hit from a glancing blow from one of the Sidewinders. He attempted to limp back to base, but was fiercely pursued by two of the F-4s while the other two escorted the bombers back to Zonar Intl. Airport. Hawkeye then did the unthinkable. A small storm had manifested off the west coast, and he piloted his plane right into it. Unfortunately, his enemies got the better of him, and his aircraft was shot down over the sea before he could reach his supposedly safe haven. He floated to the surface on his chute, right into the churning sea. He prayed to God as he hit the ground.

Little did he know that his salvation lay two-hundred feet below the waves.

80,000 feet above Minot Testing Range...

It was highly unusual that both of the XCB-70F "motherships" were flying at the same time. Even more so, both were carrying the new Blackstar recon spaceplanes. To add to it, the chase planes were actual combat planes (F-40Cs), and the crews of the Blackstars were from the Republic Air Force, rather than test personnel. Well, all but the pilots at least.

So what was up? Robert Endelhoff wondered what all the "hubb-bubb" was. The CCRAF crews didn't say anything; whether they didn't know or weren't telling anybody, didn't really matter. They were doing an actual mission today: photo-recon over and around Luxoria, several orbits, then coming back down. Air Force boys were all excited about the flight, and Bob would give them a hell of a ride; nothing like the current RF-40s, or even the new RB-70s.

Maximum speed and altitude for the motherships, time to launch. The engines started up, and the clamps released. Slowly, they accelerated up and away, eventually transitioning to scramjet operation and then switching to the rockets. Into space.

"Contact CENTCOM, we have achieved orbit, and ready to start."

Soon after, the two Blackstars were operating in a pair, trying to cover as much of Luxoria, in detail, as they could. They'd come around five more times, doing the same thing, then they'd put in to Minot.

V.S.S. Sysco, fifty miles off Luxorian coastline

"Sir, SONAR ping on the surface."

The young sensors officer onboard the Archer IV missile submarine Sysco looked up at his commanding officer, and brought the ping up to the mointer. The officer looked carefully at it. "What is it, ensign?" The sensors officer replied, "It appears to be a man-sized object. It's floating on the surface." The CO walked over to his periscope, and yelled out, "Come to periscope depth!" Soon, the sub's ballast tanks changed their volume, and the periscope began to poke above the waves.

Hawkeye, or better yet, William Harris, his real name, scanned the horizon. His chances of being rescued out here in the middle of the storm while his nation was embroiled in a civil war ranked up with being abducted by aliens. It was this thought that scared him half to death when his eyes caught the Sysco's periscope poking above the blue. It centered on him, before it held it's position. Soon, he heard a communication in his still, receiving headset.

"Hold position, we are coming to your rescue."

He breathed a sigh of relief as a small miniature submarine broke the surface. A marine opened the hatch, pulling the wet pilot aboard. Hawkeye closed his eyes and blacked out. An hour later, he woke up, and was in a medical bay. An officer was standing at his bedside in the cramped room. He spoke up. "Where am I, and who are you?"

Classified room, underneath the President's Palace, Duntovostok, ChevyRocks

It may well have been the strangest sight Defense Secretary Erik Borgesov had seen. He knew about the rooms underneath the President's Palace, where all manner of things related to national and international issues occured, but he had actually never been there, yet. He entered one particular room, and saw rows and rows of computers. Hundreds of personnel were dead quiet and working at their machines. Today, they were recieving streaming video from the pair of Blackstar spaceplanes in orbit, analyzing it, and informing senior officers if they saw anything suspisious. So far, they hadn't seen much.

Off in a corner, Erik saw one of the techs stand up from his computer and walk towards him. "Sir, I think you had better see this." He followed him over to his computer station, among the overwhelming sound of key strokes and mouse clicking. The section of the room he walked to was labeled "Naval Intelligence."

"So what do you have here, son?"
"We got this in from Blackstar One about ten minutes ago. At least two carrier battle groups, among other vessels, heading towards Luxoria. Origin is definetly from Spitbreak."
"Get these printed off and back to me on the double."

The tech entered several keystrokes, and then ran off. About 30 seconds later, he returned with many pages of pictures. The Defense Secretary grabbed a large envelope on the desk, stuffed the photos inside, and walked out briskly.

Several minutes later, he arrived upstairs in the main office where Vice President Joseph Derekson was. "Sir, urgent news," Erik said.
"What is it Erik?"
"These just came in from Blackstar One. Group of naval combat vessels from Spitbreak, heading towards Luxoria."
"Intentions?"
"Unknown so far."
"We'd better send out a message to our allies."

The entirety of the Luxorian High Seas Fleet (200 ships, including four dreadnoughts) had arrived outside the supposidly immpenatrable fortress of Boaz. A stern warning had been issued to the Spit Break "government".

Any hostile movement towards the nation of Luxoria will result in the sinking of your fleet and the destruction of port facilities inside your fortress. You have been warned, good day.

The fleet stood in a triangle formation, with a dreadnought at each vertex and one in the center protecting the three carriers of the fleet. On the sides were ASW vessels and cruisers, along with ten arsenal ships. A submarine picket of twenty hunter killers and five missile subs stood watch, using passive detection methods to detect any enemy SONAR buoys nearby. As this occured, flights of EF-2000N fighters screamed overhead, guided by AWACs aircraft flying in loop patterns around the fleet, keeping watch for enemy aerial incursions.

"Prime Minister," Kostas Alexakis began tiredly; it had been a long night. "It seems that we have a situation with regards to Spit break and Luxoria."

"A 'situation?' How bad is it?" the Prime Minister replied. Both of the officials of The Beltway knew what the Prime Minister was concerned about - would this become a war?

"Not horrible; just a war of words so far. Spit break has been positioning forces near Luxoria and has asked us to invade to 'topple a dictator.' Luxoria has angrily rebuffed Spit break and has deployed ships to shadow their force," Alexakis replied, took a sip of his coffee, then continued, "Meanwhile, our old ally in ChevyRocks recently sent us photographs of the approaching Spit break fleet; Mondoth and Velkya were also contacted."

"Thank you. Now, may I go to sleep and wake up without going to war?" asked the Prime Minister of The Beltway, yawning.

"I suppose so. What shall we say in response to Spit break's request? I assume that we'll reject it, but how harsh -" Alexakis said, but was cut off by the PM leaving to go to bed. The PM nodded and said, "Do what you think best."

To Spit break -
At this time, your proposed war is foolish at best. A monarchy is not a dictatorship, and we do not know whether or not the new king of Luxoria is interested in democratizing his nation. Further, attempting to impose democracy on a nation that has never even had a democracy is bound to fail spectacularly. Finally, the aggressiveness of your nation is incredibly ruinous to the reputation of supporters of democracy and human rights; you quite simply appear to be a war-mongerer. Therefore, we wholeheartedly reject your offer, and request that you stand down.

Religious Advisor John Goodman was in fact, not religious. Not to say he didn't believe in God, far from it. He was practically raised at the Lake Rovina Congregational Church. It was just because he wanted to be a normal, somewhat god fearing, lazy Ramissilian who just happened to be RA for the entire country. Obviously, he would get fired if any found this out, especially the public. So, John Goodman took constant vacations, trying to stay out of the public eye. Whenever Goodman couldn't avoid it, and he had to do an interview with some members of the press, he simply opened his bible to a random page, read a line, and left the podium. Worked like a charm.
---------------------------------------------------
May 23rd, Somewhere in the Puntene Isles
John Goodman opened his book. It was not the bible, but a sports magazine special having to do with the Annual 4-Square Outdoor Championship coming up in the next couple weeks. He found the bracket for the Tournement, and began to fill it out with his favourites. Goodman finished, and looked out into the water. He was on one of the Isles most famous beach, the burgandy colored beach of Heart Island, which had gotten that way from a combination of the red rocky cliffs, the maroon sea moss, and the huge undersea grove of rubies. Goodman found it slightly romantic, but thanks to his wifes trip to Florintine to visit her family, he had no one to share it with. Seeing a flock of seagulls out in the water, he decided he would go fishing with one of the local fisherman. He was making his way back to the cottage, when he saw a truck pull up with a small fishing boat. He raced over to it.
"Hello, are you Mr. Goodman?" the driver said in a slightly italian accent.
"Why, yes I am. Why are you here?"
"I've been sent to take you on a fishing trip. Your wife said you would be happy to go."
"Oh, ok. When shall we go?"
"Now I suppose. Go get your fishing poles, and we'll go."
Goodman walked up to the porch of the cottege, and stepped in. Something fell on his head, and he blacked out.
-------------------------------------------
Hours Later
"Mr Goodman? Mr Goodman? Ah, hes awake. Docter, come quickly."
John woke up with two men standing over him, the fisherman and a man in a white overcoat he had never seen before.
"Here, take these pills. You will feel better in the morning. Sam, will you stay with him for the night?" the docter said.
"Of course. Mr. Goodman, one of those pots hit you on the head. You'll be fine, the docter just gave you some painkillers. Goodman fell asleep.
-------------------------------------------
Goodmans Dream
Goodman dreamt he was walking towards the red cliffs, when a giant firey ball from the sky landed right next to him. The firey ball split in two, and out from it walked an angel.
The angel spoke to him. It spoke of Luxoria, a land far to the east, far away from Irathria. There, two rival monarches fought for the crown, killing many people in there path. They fought not for control, but for the precious metals buried deep below the surface. It spoke of the massacre, the Baron, and the Prince who would fight him. He said that Ramissle would intervene. Then he skipped to something about the Ethanol crops in Ramissle, and the new technologies that would bring them excess barrels of the fuel. And then it spoke of the 4 square tournent, and said that a man from The Block would win over a man from the deserts of Florintine. Then, he woke.
------------------------------------------
He was surrouned by the media. Goodman was in a hospital, somewhere in Ram Island by the city scape. RUN news was playing on the tv. The media began to ask questions.
"Mr Goodman, how did you survive your near death experience?"
"The Christian community is worried about the future, what can you tell them?"
"Mr Goodman, MR GOODMAN!"

"STOP!" John screamed. "Last night, after my "near death experience" of getting a bump on my head, an angel visited me. It spoke of a land, far far away known as 'Luxoria'. Two monarchs fought to the death for control of vital assets under the earth, and that We would solve the problem. He spoke of a new technology to create ethanol, and of the 4 square tourney. He said that all of this will happen if we onl-" John was interupted when three men in black suits burst in. "All of you, please leave. The Religious Advisor needs his rest. Please, leave the building or you will be escorted out." After they all rushed out the door, a familiar face showed up.
"Statton" Goodman said. The president had arrived.
"Goodman, what the hell are you thinking?"
"But Mr. President, I was visited by an-"
The President interupted.
"Yeah, you mean after you got a concussion, were fed some LSD by some Florin rebels, almost killed when they let you loose in the middle of Heart City, and rushed to Ram Isle?"
Goodman looked down, and then at the television. He saw something about Luxoria come up.
"But look! One of my predictions is already coming true!"
"Um, no. You were still on an LSD trip when you were here, and this TV has been playing the whole time you were here. You've been having dreams about the news RUN is pumping out."
"So, we are really going to attack Luxoria?"
"No, that was something entirely unrelated. Although, there resources could come in handy." He turned to one of the men in the black suits.
"Matt, how many troops do we have deployed around the continent near Luxoria?"
"Um, not many. 500,000, maybe?"
"Thats perfect. Troy, have the ministry of Propaganda start pumping out stories about helping 'a nation in need', by the Religious Advisors orders. Matt, have the Admiral of the group around Luxoria informed about this. We are going to take this nation
completely by suprise.

Admiral Gronshaft was on the phone. He was not, in fact, around Luxoria. He was on shore leave in Thebes in The Block, as was half of his fleet.
"Yes sir, I understand. Yes Mr. President, I'll be on it right away." He hung up.
"God damn it Mark, I told you, I wanted a plain cheese pizza!" The rain fell outside Gronshafts office, which was filled with trophy animal heads from around the Incorperation. He had swamp boar from the Cammerecci Swamps, a Grey Bear from before the merger, Cane Wolves from the ethanol fields, and Dune Elk from around the volcano. Mark Forstine, his assitent, stood at the door with an armfull of pizza. "Sir, I did get you a plain cheese pizza. I also have a pepperoni for Captian Phillip and two combanations for my roommates and I."
"Ok. Thats fine. Just wanted to make sure. Forstine, do you know what that idiot Statton did today?"
"No sir."
"That President of ours decided to send the entire expeditionary civilian army corps, an entire division and a half of men, a crapload of Mechanized Calvary, a whole lot of our airforce, and not only our fleet, but almost all of the Coastal Patrol, Submarines, and Light Invasion Forces to put down a rebel group in another country! "
"Well, then wouldn't it be obvious thats not what were doing here? We're probably going to take over half the country and take all the land for ethanol. I mean, were getting to the point were were going to need to start using oil again...."
"Well thought out Forstine. I can't even believe that something so smart could come out of your mouth."
"Thank you sir, I think."
The admiral walked over to his microphone.
"All RIN officers are to report to there stations at 0500 hours tommorow morning. The fleet will be heading towards New Barbary to meet up with other fleets at exactly 0700 hours, details will be sent to your laptops." He turned to Mark Forstine. "Great, here we go again."
-------------------------------------------
1200 hours, New Barbary
Bobby Trowl and Peter Zampf picked up there bags in there room, and began to walk towards the docks. They were in the two brigades to be stationed shipboard to set up airfeilds and the like for the other division. In other words, they were the expeditionary force. They saw the ship they would be stationed on, The RIN Quay class Yolonda an amphibious assault ship.
"Well, here we go Bob." Peter said. They walked aboard the ship.

Admiral Gronshaft gave the order, and the fleet began to move towards Luxoria.

"Sir, the latest photos from the NRO," Luis Alvaro, a minor functionary working for the National Intelligence Director, said, handing the NID a manila folder with the images.

The NID looked at the photos, taken over Irathria this morning, and sighed. It seemed that Ramissile was sending its fleet away from that continent, probably in the direction of Luxoria. How much longer before The Beltway would have to commit its fleet, the NID didn't know. Oh, well; time for standard procedures...

The first Light Invasion Force, codenamed Kelp Fields, began to slow down. Save the submarine groups, which surrouned the armada deep under the ocean, they were at the head of the massive grouping of ships. The Quay-class Yolonda carried an entire brigades worth of AUFV's, and enough hovercrafts to carry its supply of Mechanized calvary to the shore in only four trips. The well deck began to flood. Withen the hour, every one of its AUFV's had taken off towards shore to set up an advance base. By day break, the rest of the Light Invasion Forces had done the same.
Meanwhile, Albatross's and Warbirds began to take off from the light carriers in the group. The thirty fighters and 15 bombers made there way towards Borisgrad, and would take out any hostle forces in there way.

"Sir, there appears to be multiple shore installations around Cape Verdan." one of the officers looking through the pictures said.
"Alright, give me the details."
"Well sir, there appears to be a concentration of shore artillary guns around here." he said pointing to the screen. "Alright. Start a missle barrage with the Vanguard and the Argos, and simultaniously barrage the area with the VGAS and 24inchers on the Argos. Tell the bombers in the region to begin bombing secondary shore defense systems such as SAM sites and bunkers. I don't need our beach assault to turn into another Omaha."

The Vanguards deck was screaming with missles launching. Half of the entire first round was to be used, and the missles were not going to waste. The VGAS and ETC's on the Argos began there barrage, and all the shots appeared to be on.

Cape Verdand, Luxoria

Unfortunately, the incompetent Rammisilian forces had hit barely anything, but the things they did hit were several Baronic ASM batteries, and soon General Valnos, the commander of the Northern Army, was alerted. He ordered four Nimrod B maritime patrol aircraft into the air, which flew from Zonar Naval Base within range of the enemy fleet. Launching twenty sleek ALASM D anti-shipping missiles (which would fly high and dive nearly vertically on a target to make it extremely hard to intercept) at the enemy amphibious assault ships, the Nimrods then broke off, their F-16C escorts trailing them. Coordinated with the aerial assault were the sounds of anti-shipping missiles ripping outward from the Luxorian coastline, aimed for the aircraft carriers and AASs of the enemy. As they did this, the 3rd Royal Infantry Division was ordered to the battle zone via truck and tank.

120 nautical miles outside Boaz

The enemy shells slipped into the water, never making it close to the distant Luxorian fleet. The Luxorian fleet took this attack seriously, as they were still in international waters. The large railguns of the dreadnoughts opened fire, targeting the longest ranged of the enemy guns. Arsenal ships opened up with a barrage of three hundred RADAR and IR seeking submunition launchers aimed at enemy RADAR, IR, LADAR, and LIDAR equipment, attempting to blind their enemy before they could accurately target them.

Dozens of standoff-ranged anti-ground missiles also were fired from guided missile cruisers, targeting enemy shore installations. Finally, sea-skimming missiles launched from submarines and other ships targeted enemy ships and surfaced submarines. As this happened, the fighters currently on combat air patrol over the fleet began to ready beyond-visual ranged missiles for any enemy air combatants that would rise up against them. CIWS and point defense SAM batteries, guided by AWACs, ship RADAR systems and RADAR zeppelins, stood ready to counter any quicker enemy attacks.

Airspace over Alps

These enemies truly thought they could get the best of the Luxorians.

Wrong.

The two enemy helicopters had passed a myriad of RADAR installations and AWACs aircraft, and had been detected long ago. Of course, there was a delay and the enemy was allowed to land. Of course, it was only for their cremation. Two A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, directed by a EW-3 Sentry orbiting overhead and a forest ranger team, peppered the enemy landing site and camp with fire from their monstrous 30mm Avenger cannons, before opening their bomblets dispensers and filling the area with deadly anti-personnel munitions, which exploded in a small carpet on the road below. As if this wasn’t enough, they made a final pass, dropping a series of thousand pound bombs on the enemy encampment.

On the tarmac, Frobisher Bay N.A.S.

Flight Captain Michael Draper noticed some extra activity going around the base. As usual, the maintenance crews were going over the systems of the PB-70E Manta Ray strike-patrol bombers neatly lined up at Frobisher Bay. Yeah, patrol bombers...in reality they were just Republic Air Force B-70 Valkyries with a blue tint to their paint and "CCNAW" in big letters on the sides. Which wasn't really a bad thing at all, because the PB-70 was the fastest aircraft in the Navy; the fighter jocks on the carriers weren't even close.

What interested Draper most was what else was going on with the planes. Large transport trucks and lift carts were parked around, and the bomb bay doors were open on the planes. Now that in itself wasn't unusual, but what was different was the "stuff" going in. He saw the normal armaments...AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles and ASM-1C Penetrator anti-ship missiles. But the Penetrators weren't going to his bird Northern Lights. He walked up closer, rubbing his hands together because it was still bloody cold up here at Frobisher. Sitting next to his plane were five large crates. He opened the closest one...AMRAAM missiles, OK, nothing strange about that. Then he opened the second one...

"Holy mother of GOD!!" he thought out loud. Inside was a monster of a missile.
"You like that, eh," One of the groundcrew spoke up. "That's the new ASM-6, the Hyper-Penetrator. Works just like any other anti-ship missile, just more so. Supposed to be used more against capital ships...aircraft carriers, battleships, dreadnoughts. 'Course it'd be more efficient to use a nuclear-tipped missile and just incinerate the enemy fleet, but we aren't allowed to do that unless it's determined there's a significant enough threat. Biggest thing is, this ASM-6 is supposed to be too fast for any current missile-defense system to intercept it."
"I'll believe that when I see it," Draper said. "So how come we're loading these up?"
"Well from what I hear, there's a situation down by Luxoria, and that we may or may not be deploying from down there sometime very soon."
"Meaning, that we're going down there, but haven't yet gotten permission to use one of their airbases yet."
"Exactly. Figure we might as well load them up now and save time."

OOC: Beltway, take command of this RP and RP out Luxoria, I'm out of here with all this godmoding. Besides, I'm on the eve of a big war with Whyatica and Kraven and I don't have time to be teaching people how to play.

OOC - Spit break: Sorry, but your excuse won't fly. Velkya edited it three minutes after posting; you posted fourteen minutes later. Further, your guns are 22.4" guns; the Luxorian DNs could have up to 25" guns, thus handling the range issue. Finally, roughly 400-450 missiles were fired at you (300 anti-electronic missiles from arsenal ships, "dozens" of stand-off munitions from missile cruisers, and sea-skimming missiles from subs). That's well more than a few weapons. Finally, how come you haven't ever quantified the full defences of Boaz? Claiming something is impregnable will just bring on opponents; actually describing the defences won't.

OOC: the Island that Boaz is on is over 30 Sq. Km the base covers all of that the surface of the island is doted with hidden missile position for interception and the Boaz defence force numbers in the thousands of ships, air craft, and armor and the base is built strong enough to withstend a nuclear attack to a extent
