New Equipment[MT ATTN weapons dealers]

Azaha

OOC: This is actually a thread for some one to sell a new weapon to MT Azaha, however there are rules. Every post where you try to sell your weapon must be IC, no OOC listings about the stats of your weapons and such. This is a competition of sorts; you will be fighting (IF there's enough sellers of course) to sell me your weapon, by showing me, ICly, its capabilities. I would like this to be as much of a story RP as it is a new weapon RP. Thank you.
IC:

He looked up from his feet, which were perched on top of his desk, the rest of his body slouched into a wheeled chair. His brown combination cap obstructed his view slightly, lifting his right hand and tipping it upwards a little, he glanced around the room through groggy eyes. Taking off his hat, he ran a hand through his dark brown, almost black hair. It felt greasy to him, as it would on long bouts of no showers.

The room was dim, and dusty. There was only one source of light, and that was the setting sun poking its rays through the blinds, piercing the almost thick dust, and illuminating the room ever so slightly. The man looked around at his office, numerous plaques and certificates adorning it. There was only his desk in his office, plus two chairs, his, and another on the other side of the desk for visitors to seat in.

Finally, he unpropped his feet from on top of the dark wooden desk, and leaned over. He set his elbows in his knees, and buried his head into his hands, rubbing his eyes and temples, desperately trying to shake is grogginess. He looked up again at the entrance to his office with bloodshot eyes. He stared straight out at the door's window, where in black letters, that were backwards to him, spelled 'General Sinier'. He had remembered why he woke up.

He had a dream, a nasty flashback. It was about back in the day, during the days of the Islamic Liberation Party. Rubbing his eyes more, he tried to recall even more. He remembered small scenes of house-to-house fighting, Azahan tanks steamrolling civilian houses, civilian members of the I.L.P. being tortured and murdered brutally by Azahan soldiers. However, none of this bothered him, not in the least. Only one scene bothered him.

Sinier had been looking at a scene from a pair of binoculars; he was peering at position under fire. It was a soldier ducking under fire, tracer rounds spewing from an enemy position. Most of his team had already died, and he was about to make a valiant stand against the enemy. The man stood up and tried to fire his weapon, but it had jammed. Quickly the man tried to unjam the AK-47, but in the manner of seconds, the soldier was ripped apart by enemy sniper, and .50 caliber fire.

The general snapped out of his trance, and looked towards the door again. He quickly stood up, and almost ran out the door. He looked down the hall of the small, dilapidated office building, nothing there. He looked down the other end, and spotted what he wanted. He jogged down the hall, to a soldier standing guard. The soldier was barely awake, but that did not bother the general. Sinier swiftly snatched the AK-47 out of the soldier’s hands, who had then woken up with a snort.

Making sure the weapon was off safety, and had a full clip in it, he aimed it down the hall, and pulled the trigger. The soldier covered his ears and closed his eyes in anticipation, but nothing happened. The weapon had jammed. The general looked closer at the weapon, and upon closer inspection, found the weapon to be in horrid shape. Some metal parts had rust, he shook the weapon, and it sounded like it even had sand or dirt stuck in it somewhere.

Shoving the weapon back into the soldier’s hands, he briskly walked back to his officer, and snatched up his phone. He dialed a quick succession of numbers, and waited a few rings before a female voice came over the line.

“Grand Marshal’s office.” Remarked the voice, the woman sounded like she was busy.

“This is General Sinier. I have need to talk to Larod.” Sinier said, his voice already showing slight annoyance.

“Yes sir, please hold.” The line seemed to hang up, before a deep male voice came over the line. “What is it, Sinier?”

“Sir, I think it is time we invested in better weapons.” Sinier had expected the Marshal to immediately say no, as was the conservative man, but to Sinier’s surprise, the Marshal replied with an “Indeed.”

Then the Marshal continued. “I know Sinier, I was thinking that myself. I will allocate the funds for it. I want you to find, and procure the best weapon for us, I am putting you in charge of the operation, Sinier.”

“Yes sir, I will begin searching right away.”

“Good, do not fail this Sinier, you’re on the ropes as it is.” The Marshal hung up.

A few days later, a wide-cast communications was relayed to many countries and regions, whether they wanted to receive it or not.

It entailed the need for numerous weapons and vehicles. The list was extensive, including main battle tanks, transport trucks and helicopters, main infantry fighting weapons, anti-armor weapons, among others.

The communications also added a secure number for companies and countries to call to get a hold of the Azahan government, specifically Azaha.

To the Ministry of Defence of Azaha -
We have been informed that you desire new military arms, and wish to purchase these arms from sources outside your nation. Corporations based in our nation offer a wide variety of equipment, although primarily warships and aircraft. We would like to know the size of your defence budget, along with the requirements of your military, so that we can better serve your needs; as a courtesy, and to give you an example of our technology, Gage Munitions, a subsidiary of our best-known military exporter (Baltimore Shipyards) will deliver, free of charge, a single M-17 assault rifle, along with two of its thirty-two round magazines of 6.8 x 43mm bullets, to your capital for testing. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Michael E. Busch, Commerce Minister of The Beltway

The single representative of Statensorns Armiant, long for STAR, looked around rather suspiciously as he stood in the dark room, sorrounded by four strong men and one other man in what seemed like an old fashioned business suit. He had been sent to Azaha by the new arms company that had arisen from the shadows after the sudden death of Harbinger. This latter happening had allowed other companies to break away from Kriegzimmer, who had originally bought out the competition, forming what was the single largest armaments conglomeration in the world. Now STAR had been brought up to be the second largest company in the Second Empire of the Golden Throne, although it still had to form a catalogue and still needed to introduce its ordnance, which was primarily armour and older, already designed munitions. This included SD-60F, which had been introduced in 1982 by Weigar as an improvement over the 1960s version of the SD-60A and B, which was a general improvement over the SD-30CD, released about eleven years earlier and which saw action at the Battle of Quintin's Bar in 1952 for the first time in its deployment history, during the Great Civil War. Now, this representative of STAR, known by the name of Kril Furest, was sent to sell this SD-60F, a relic of the past. Nevertheless, the fact that the tank was older also meant it was cheaper, and despite the fact that it had been released in the 80s, as opposed to owning a tank like the Cougar, released in 2016, it was still a competent design, and with a further upgrade was very well on par with many current tanks. Mr. Furest was sent to sell this fact to the Azahans.

The Azahan business man spoke first, "Tell me, what do you want to sell?"

Kril Furest gulped and prepared himself, trying not to stumble over his words, and responded, "In 1982 the SD-60F was released by Weigar, who is now again in rebellion working to become fully sovereign from Fedala. In any case, the SD-60F is a second generation main battle tank almost on par with current third generation tanks. This latter category would cover such designs such as the Challenger II or the M1A2 SEP Abrams. Despite the categorization as a second generation battle tank, the SD-60F is a very capable piece of armour, fielding a 105mm high velocity smoothbore and a very well established active protection system. Not many tanks field an APS, and only now is the Ejermacht beginning to introduce their new APS with the Arca. IV main battle tank [to be released in 2018 and see mass production by 2019]."

He was cut off there and the Azahan said, "Can you show me this tank?"

Furest arched an eyebrow, but quickly put it back down as to not offend the other man, and answered," That would be difficult, but I'm sure STAR would be willing to bring in a vintage SD-60F for your viewing pleasure."

The Azahan nodded and spoke, "Mmmhmm. The viewing pleasure of our generals as well. This...SD...will be tested against many other tanks that we may be able to buy. Make sure this is worth the time."

Kril chuckled, "Oh, it very well is." He was half-right. STAR was putting the finishing touches on what would become the SD-60AZ, which would potentially be an export version of the SD-60F to Azaha. It would feature a larger turret with an increased bore diameter to a 120mm high velocity smoothbore, putting the barrel length at 55 calibres with a larger solid propellant than the round and gun were actually meant for. It would limit barrel life, but STAR felt as if the extra firepower would pay off when it came to showing its potential and selling the tank - it would also payoff on the battlefield, some thought. In any case, all that would be left for the day this system would be tested. For the meanwhile, Mr. Furest would have to work his hardest to complete the first deal between STAR and a client...

[OOC: I took several liberties at RPing your character, but that was to make this RP a little bit longer...althought not much. In any case, I leave any type of real response to you.]

George Breech, CEO of ZefTec Inc., noticd a request for an assualt rifle on his computer. "Hmm..." he thought aloud. "This sounds very lucrative." He pressed the button on the intercom, "Sherry, send a message to Azaha. Tell them we're willing to sell them our new ZA-1 assualt rifle. On the double!"

"Right away!" Sherry, the secretary, replied.

Now to get started... she thought. She began typing. Perhaps a performance video... she thought again. She asked the CEO over the intercom.

"Sir, I thought it may be a good idea to give them a performance video for our ZA-1. Are they still classified?"

"Actually, Sherry, no, they aren't. Use them, go right ahead."

"Yes sir."

She attached the video to the eMail, and pressed, "Send".

Honorable Azahan Government,

We have recieved your request for a new assualt rifle to equip your armed forces. We believe we may have an answer to your problem. It is called the ZA-1 (Standing for Zef-Assualt version 1.) They will cost you $1000 USD each. They are constructed of polymers. It is 39 inches long in total, with the barrel taking up 19.88 inches of that. Loaded, the weapon is an astonishingly light 5 pounds, and unloaded, it is 4.5 pounds. It uses a 5.56 x 45 mm cartridge, and has a univesal mounting rail for scopes. (It comes with a scope). It has space for a grenade launcher or other auxilary weapon to be mounted under the barrel, and it can be used as a perpherial (as in as another firing mode), or it can have a seperate trigger. The whole gun is able to interact with some battlesuits computer's. It can fire anti-infantry and anti-armor rounds, and uses a drum-like cartridge of 75 rounds. You may purchase production rights for one billion dollars, though this is negotiable.

Hoping you like this,
ZefTec Sales Department

Attached was a performance video. It showed the ZA-1's performance against a variety of targets. It performed very well on each one.

Daniel Quetzal leaned back in his beach chair, and sighed contently. Beach access, beautiful sunny day, impenetrable screen of bodyguards... What more could anyone ask for?

How about a laptop computer?

Picking up his machine, Daniel clicked a few buttons, browsing through his mail, as well as the PRA forums.

Hrm... Looks like Azaha is looking for new guns. I smell business...

TO: Grand Marshall Larod
FROM: Pale Rider Arms
SUBJECT: Your weapons crisis

Mr. Larod,

A pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Daniel Quetzal, and I am the proprietor of Pale Rider Arms. We've received word of your need for high quality weaponry, and we believe that PRA is uniquely suited to meet your needs. The following list of weapons should fit your requirements quite nicely.

Yours,
Daniel Quetzal
CEO of Pale Rider Arms

PRA M25 HVAR

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/blaesa/PRA%20junk/M25BullpupRifle.jpg

Length: 560mm
Barrel Length: 491mm
UGL Barrel Length: 214mm
Cartridge: 6mm x 50mm high velocity caseless, 30mm grenade
Ammuntion: 60 6mm, 6 30mm grenades
Modes of Fire: Safe, Semi Auto, 3 round burst, full auto, grenade
Mass (Empty): 2.1 kg
Mass (Fully Loaded): 4.42 kg
Features: Recessed top mounting rail, integral smartgun system, kitchen sink

The successor to the popular M22 series HVAR, the M25 was designed as a lighter version of the M22, while maintaining its accuracy and firepower. In order to meet these goals, a bull-pup configuration was adopted, shrinking the over all size of the weapon. The 40mm grenade launcher was replaced with the smaller 30mm variant, not only reducing weight but increasing logistical efficiency, as it shares its ammunition with the GL series of launchers. Other features were improved, notably the addition of a full integral smartgun system, as well as a large magazine.

Thunderclap Anti-Materiel Weapon

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/blaesa/tclap.gif

60mm APFSDS or HE Shaped Charge
Barrel Length: 1150mm
Magazine Capacity: 5 rounds
Mass: 18 kg
Sight: 1.5x to 10x Variable Electronic Scope, your choice of either thermographic or low light
Other: Detachable bipod
Cost: 7000 USD

Advertised as the largest antimateriel rifle in the world, the PRA Thunderclap Antimateriel Weapon uses a gargantuan 60mm high velocity round. While normally the tremendous recoil of such a weapon would shatter the arm of the person firing it, the Thunderclap circumvents this issue by utilizing a quasi-gyrojet round. This round is propelled out of the barrel at low speeds by a small initial charge, which also serves to ignite a rocket engine in the rear of the round. The round accelerates in mid-air, reaching speeds of up to five times the speed of sound. This also means that the gun itself is remarkably silent, with only a small, easily silenced bark and a slight whoosh at the barrel. The round itself breaks the sound barrier approximately thirty meters down range, making it extremely difficult to locate the shooter via the sonic boom.

The M220 was designed by Pale Rider Arms as a tactical sniping weapon, hand crafted for use in the field of battle, unlike many other so-called sniper rifles, which are merely modified versions of civilian weapons. The M220 includes an option for reducing ports, which reduce the velocity of the supersonic 8mm rounds to just under the speed of sound, meaning that the impact of the bullet will make more sound than firing it.

PRA M210 13mm Sniper Rifle

Length: 1472mm
Barrel length: 1168mm
Weight: 16 kg
Bore diameter: 13mm
Maximum effective range: 2200m

Range: 300 kilometers
Cost: 10,000 USD

Fast and silent, the Kage Scout Vehicle is capable of navigating wooded areas at a decent speed while remaining unseen and unheard. With a high-efficiency muffler, the Kage is virtually silent, the loudest noise of the vehicle being the racket it makes as it rolls through the undergrowth. The Kage is lightly armed, carrying a pair of 6mm machine guns mounted on the front of the vehicle, intended for self defense when the Kage can't simply outrun its foes.
Smartgun System

Consisting of a cell-phone sized computer, a laser rangefinder, a headset, and a pair of cables, the Smartgun system allows users to vastly improve their aim and combat effectiveness. The laser rangefinder is mounted on the weapon, either underslung or attached to a standard accessory rail. The first cable connects the rangefinder to the computer, which is commonly worn on a hip pack, or also attached to the gun. The final cable runs to the headset, where data is displayed as a HUD.

Data displayed includes range to the target, a red dot (color can be changed) indicating where the weapon is being aimed, ammunition left in the magazine (PRA Weapons only, due to their integral Smartgun jacks), and estimated flight path of grenade rounds.

The headset can be manufactured in a number of varieties, from mirror shades to night vision or thermographic goggles.

COST
500 USD for Mirrorshades
1000 USD for Night Vision or Thermographic Goggles

Concerning the representative that was sent to the Nirkala testing grounds. We were quite impressed, however, I do not feel we had enough time to get across the specific needs the Azahan military needs from a main battle tank. Enclosed are some details.

Azaha has much sand and arid desert, most of it lies within the interior of Azaha. Another big aspect of the Azahan land, is that much of it is populated, very little actual city buildings, but most of it with large sprawling civilian housing developments with little or no income.

We require a tank that will be able to move freely through large towns and suburbs, but also a tank that is easy to clean and maintain in the arduous deserts of Azaha.

Thank you

"Mr. Jacob Bies, I'm Martin Quinn of Lockheed Corporation. We've been instructed to ship one PG-1 Hampton Roads to Azaha, correct?" a Lockheed corporate drone said by telephone.

"Yes. As a reminder, I will also be flying to Azaha," Bies replied. His typing could faintly be heard, due to Bies putting his cell phone on speaker, on the other end.

"Correct. Your flight leaves in forty-five minutes from a private terminal at BWI; our man will pick you up shortly," came the reply; the corporate drone on the other end then hung up. He didn't even say any sort of farewell; Ms. Manners would be pissed. Oh well. Time to go; the Lockheed Corp. car had just arrived...

Forty-four minutes later, aboard a C-5B at a private terminal at BWI
"Mr. Bies, I'm Anna Miners of Martin Avionics. It seems you're joining us on the flight to Azaha, yes?" a short, brown-haired woman said quickly.

"Yes. That chopper - is it yours?" Jacob Bies said, pointing at the large chopper fitted precariously above the patrol boat in the giant plane's hull.

"Yup. It's an AH-56 Cheyenne; we're quite proud of it. You like it?" Miners replied, smiling.

"Not bad... any chance you guys could modify it a bit to be a naval helicopter?" Bies said; he had to shout over the sound of the engines that had just turned on.

"Maybe... look, let's talk later; it's getting too hard to hear," Miners replied. She sat down with him in a pair of makeshift seats as the massive plane lumbered into the heavens...

Azaha, assume that I've informed you that Martin Avionics, Lockheed Corporation, and Baltimore Shipyards (which will also be acting on behalf of Gage Munitions) will send representatives to your nation, along with some equipment for trials. Also, you can post our C-5B landing and our people being driven to the abandoned warehouse on nearby docks where we'll set up shop.

A ZefTec representative is on his way. His name is Mor Kalami. As for our ZA-1, we are rest assured that it will meet your standards. It requires very little maitenence, and it is very easy to use. As for maitenence per man hours, the ratio of time firing and in combat to maitinence is 24:1. The representative will come with eight ZA-1s and 600 rounds of ammunition.

Also, should you have any other areas of your army, air force, navy, or police to fill in armaments, do not hesitate to call us. We have an MBT, APC, HBT, and AT weapon you can test as well.

Pilots and crew stood beside each, prepared to answer questions about their gear.

Meanwhile, Anna Miners of Martin Avionics and Martin Quinn of Lockheed Corporation introduced themselves to the Defence Minister of Azaha and took him to the base to show him their planes.
