Deltara

Here goes an extremely quick overview of Deltara.

It is a monarchy with hereditary monarch. The huge nation was fought for over 28 years of war, finally gaining its sovereignity against its superior enemy. The country, due to its size, has a wide range of climates and landscapes (ranging from mountains to deserts).

Obviously more information can be found in the factbook.


So, if you have any questions or want to set-up an RP, just post here and I will reply as soon as it is possible.

The military is kind of odd. In terms of organisation during war, it is exceptional, with units being commanded well and into position efficiently.

In terms of out of battle (the factbook entries for military) it is not too well organised right now. I have general stats (army numbers, air force number and navy numbers), however for such areas as Royal Artillery and Royal Engineers little is present if anything at all. I am going to at some point get around to asking for advice as to how to seperate the 1.4 million odd men into these sections.

For plans for teh future of the military, it will eventually be 3 million men and when that is achieved, the percentage will change to keep it at that mark. This is a large military for a nation without conscription but it is necessary.

You dont know anyone who could help in organisation of my military do you?

Im sorta good at it...but I dont know if im as accurate as other people would be. I know Devlyn, some one im RPing with right now, is very good at it.

Also what is your stance on a liberation war? I am currently in conflict with A Lesser Land and Psychotika (A Lesser Land is new at RPing so were basicly just using his nation as a battleground), if you would like to get your power knowen around the NS forums you should maybe join this, if I can get it bigger. Or look for a large scale war to just send in support troops. I know that your not new to nationstates just thought I would give advice out to you.

The military section of my factbook gives all of the information needed, It will take five mins to update (started once I sent this) so all the figures will be correct. I`ll get some stuff written down to the best of my ability but I really dont have enough time to write it down.

quickly though, how many companies do you intend to have in each battalion, also do you intend this to be an armored battalion (Tank Battalion), and would you include transports and their drivers as apart of your battalions?

Also for as small as your nation is at this current moment I would limit myself to around 200 Divisions spead out among your Military Corps.

I would just throw out maybe 3-4 thousand troops into each Battalion.

That would be good, as I remember your cult type "nation" well. That would be good, however, i think (going to factbook for reference, what I wrote a month ago) 59% are atheist, and it is a secular society, which is what I thought you were referring to.

Does your nation have any poor coastal areas?

It has not very much coastline in perspective, both in the north and the south, dotted around in places. They all are pretty well defended due to a war lasting a long time (both a cold war and with fighting). There is one area of coastline that is left poorly guarded, but if you want ao avoid potential capture (kind of giving away secrets here, but oh well) its a lot easier to go over the border with a neighbouring nation. However, this is not at all risk free especially with the neighbouring nation with which we are waring (which is a frontline, so definetly no entry).

I would love a map drawn, and would love you to do it for me. However, you may want to look at the geography in my factbook (sig., click on geography link). It is complex. Best way would most probably be to take Russia and moul it around that.

OOC: No problem. I'm on spring break for the next week and a half, with no where to go, (sigh) so I'll have plenty of time to work on it that would otherwise be wasted.
