I think we should make the thread solely about sanctions and diplomacy, and arms aid. If it turns into a war thread it might attract the war noobs who will ruin it with their zillion man armies and 100,000 nukes.

I would agree with that, although I also think it largely depends on what Eonopolis does regarding these Communists - if they're executed despite our intentions to stop this, then stopping warfare could become difficult. However, in the event of that, Economic warfare would be successful at bringing the country to its knees in retaliation for what the government has done.

If this did end up in open warfare, I personally would be at a disadvantage in participating having a small military and limited methods to deploy it beyond my own island shores (barring infantry and some vehicle transport in the form of airdrop), so my own role in such a case would therefore be simply a token force if anything. I do quite like the idea of playing the middle-man in this diplomatic game, however - as per my offer of extradition on Eonopolis for the Communists.

If it comes to war, you may have to stomp my priest-soldiers. The tribunal may be primarily a humanitarian church, but we do like our AK's.

If this does come down to warfare, I would just like to enquire with Eonopolis whether there is a map of his nation availiable for use in reference?

Hey people get it straight. There is not going to be a war unless Eonopolis agrees to rp one.

I do have some questions for Eonopolis:
1. You said none of your people were vacationing in Whittier, what about business travel or anything like that?
2. Did you kill all the communists?
3. Dependent on answer to question 2. What is the state of the communist resistance in your nation.

I'm not going to invade Eonopolis cause of the differences in nation size, but I may send arms and advisors to support a communist insurgency.

But I won't blockade or embargo cause he hasn't taken any direct action against my nation. Any captured advisors or such would be denied. Which effectively means that Eonopolis could do what he wants with them without having to face a reaction from my nation.
Kind of like a government saying "Bebe the spy? We never heard of her. She's not from our country."
Any advisors I send would be on their own.

But a direct attack on Eonopolis would destroy the sanctions regime because then, in keeping with the way I've traditionally rped my nation in all its incarnations, I would have to change sides to defend Eonopolis soverignty.
