Attack on Aritash- Closed to New Dornalia, Relative Liberty, Huntaer

OOC: Again same senario. Too much clutter on the main thread resulting in some confusion. I'm going to post up the series of attacks so far in Aritash.
Relative Liberty

On the bridge of Dauntless, one of the frigates scouting the Aritash system in search for enemy ships:
''Damn, they've spotted us!'' The voice was that of the captain, Bridge-Sergenat Blue-Tongue, expressing his discomfort with the situation.
''Sergeant of Communication, send a message to Abomination, tell them that we have discovered the enemy fleet and are returning home. Helmsman, take us outta here, 's fast as you can!
''Aye aye, sir!'' came two replies in unison. Hyperspace engines were engaged, twisting and elongating the ship and a sphere of reality around it, pressing the craft into another universe and plane of existance. The rest of the frigates did the same of course, as Libertarian frigates are made for reconaissance and not fighting.

At the edge of the system the flagship Abomination and Task Force 1 were receiving the message:
''...have detected enemy fleet, sir. Estimated number of ships is 160, estimated strength equal or greater than ours. Will return home and await further orders.''
Admiral Blood-Fang rehearsed the plan quietly for himself, and hoped that the other commanders knew what to do.
''Helmsman, maximum acceleration. Take us to the enemy as fast as possible.''
''Aye aye, sir!''
The Abomination's main engines roared to life, and Task Force 1 sped through the system, headed for the New Dornalian fleet. Nine other task forces would follow, attacking from different angles to spread confusion and give the impression of a much larger force. 40 battleships, five battlecruisers, 30 heavy cruisers, ten carriers and fifteen invasion carriers, all in all a hundred capital ships and a thousand escort craft, was to face the New Dornalian fleet, and they would be attacking from multiple directions.

The ten task forces arrived simultaneously, covering about fifty degrees of the circle representing the New Dornelian fleet on the radar displays of the Abomination. Fighter wings closed in for a strafing round against the Dornalian corvettes and frigates, battlecruisers went for the escort carriers and the heavy cruisers began firing at the Dornalian strike cruisers. The battleships organized themselves in groups of four, merging their shields so that they were covered by one large. In doing so, one battleship could focus its entire power reserve on maintaining a shield in one particular direction, instead of trying to cover all six directions. Ten groups of battleships, each possessing not one, but five superheavy gravitronic cannons, aiming for the Prochkhorovka carriers and the Star Destroyers. The Libertarian destroyers headed straight for the enemy flagship, hoping to avoid enemy fire by their speed and manouverability, to disrubt the enemy formation and hopefully distract the Super Star Destroyer long enough that more powerful ships might be brought up.

-snips-

This was not what Admiral Ma, onboard the flagship Christopher Walken had in mind...a trap. Now, he had to get himself out of it, and fast.

Ma said, "Fire People's Hammer antimatter torpedoes set on wide dispersal at the incoming enemy destroyers. Tell all available fighters and Mobile suits to hunt the enemy fighters."

The Marineskos, Mothra Strike Fighters, and "Who-class" (Peter Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon) Mobile Suits assigned to the force immediately began hunting the enemy, the fighters entering into figure-five formation kill teams to chase enemy fighters, and the Peter Townshends and Keith Moons assembling in squads to hunt larger groups in conjunction, the Entwistles providing a kind of artillery support. With significantly higher numbers than the Liberatarians, they would be able to hold their own against the enemy fighters....

Meanwhile, a spread of People's Hammer antimatter torpedoes came out, and careened towards the enemy destroyers. Set on wide dispersal, they were detonated close by, putting their 160KG of anitmatter per torpedo to very nasty use.

Two groups of Star Destoryers, meanwhile, manuevered near the Prochkhorovkas to cover for them, and then fired their own antimatter torpedoes (about 100-200 where abouts in total) into the charging horde of enemy Battleships, before following up with a wave of Demolisher Gun and Ion Cannon fire, to add to the Demolisher Gun fire from the Prochs themselves....meanwhile, the Mao IIa's moved to aid the Prochs. Not as capable as their newer bretheren, they still packed a punch, firing their Super Warp Cannons (Yamato equivalent) into the Battleships.....

The Corvettes and Frigates were distracted by having to throw up a Gauss Gun screen to try and harm as many fighters as possible, but they did find time to fire Demolisher Guns at the battlecruisers and heavy cruisers attacking their comrades, who were fighting back too with their own weaponry. The other group of Mao Zedongs were moved to aid these ships, and fired their Super Warp Cannons at the enemy vessels.

The Abomination rocked as its group was hit by volley after volley of enemy fire. The shields held though, but just barely. The Admiral sat in his control room, monitoring the battle displayed on the huge 3D projection. The shield of a group of battleships had their shield knocked out. The secondary generators started in a fraction of a second, but in that time one of the battleships got hit by a large beam emitting from one of the Mao IIs. The ship seemed badly hurt, and the Bridge Lieutenant tried to get his ship out of the line of fire, but a last beam hit the rear end and knocked out the engines.
''Sir, we've lost the battleship Pestilence,'' reported a metallic voice.
Blood-Fang didn't mind, a single battleship was not a steep prize to pay for a victory. The enemy commander had let too many of his ships become bogged down by the Libertarian fighters, and Blood-Fang saw his chance.
''Missile cruisers and frigates, engage enemy rear,'' he ordered. The missile cruisers, having been ordered to stay behind and await the order to attack, now set course for the battle. The FTLi field would prevent them from using their hyperspace thrusters, though travelling through real space would take no mor ethan five minutes. The frigates on the other hand, had returned after spotting the Dornalian fleet. Albeit not built for fighting, they carried a heavy gravitronic gun, capable of fending off light cruisers and the like. They should fair well against the Dornalian frigates, provided the element of surprise was not lost.

The fighter pilots, being vastly outnumbered, tried every trick they knew. Rolls, spins, immelmanns, split-S, Tach weaves and scissors. The long, hard wars agains the independent warlords had made the Libertarian pilots fierce fighters, unwilling to surrender against overwhelming odds.
Following thier orders, they tried to lure the pursuers away from the main battle to make way for the reinforcements.

The light destroyers turned on the enemy Star Destroyers and fired their torpedoes, while the heavy destroyers launched volley after volley of gravitronic fire at the Eclipse SSD, prioritizing sensors and the command bridge. Manouvering behind the enemy Star Destroyers, the Libertarian light destroyers targeted the main thrusters and the forward ventral sensors.

The battleships formed up into an armoured wedge, firing their heaviest guns into the midst of enemy carriers and battleships. Every battleships carried no less htan six superheavy gravitronic guns, capable of ripping the largest ship apart by creating an extreme gravitional anomaly. Fifty-nine bolts of gravitronic energy surged through space towards the enemy, striking with tremendous force against the carriers. Missiles were fired in thousands against the Dornalian Star Destroyers and Mao ze-Dong battleships.
Battlecruisers used their speed to flank the enemy warships and aimed for vulnerable compartments such as the bridge, the thrusters and sensors. The battlecruisers were smaller and weaker than the battleships, but roughly equal to a Star Destroyer in size and its superior when it came to firepower.

The heavy cruisers targeted and engaged the Dornalian strike cruisers, aiming for the structurally weak part between the engines and the bridge compartements (assuming your strike cruisers resembles Nebulon-B frigates, also known as Rebel Cruisers. If not, please assume they target engines, sensors and the bridge, in that order). Packing seventeen heavy gravitronic guns, the Juvenile heavy cruiser is one of the best armed ships in the Libertarian navy if you compare armament to ship size. Shorter than a Star Destroyer, but carrying almost the same heavy armament as a battlecruiser (seven heavy gravitronic guns less), the Juvenile is more than capable of engaging any other ships of hte same size, though their excessive armament leaves them somewhat lacking in shield strength.

Circa five minutes later (if you approve of this jump in time of course):
The missile cruisers arrive at maximum acceleration, having shifted all power from the weapon systems to the thrusters. As they approach the Dornalian fleet from behind, some shield power is transferred to the weapons systems, just enough to get them to function properly. A thousand anti-matter warheads are fired from each ship at the mass of enemy Star Destroyers, carriers and cruisers that are already fighting the Libertarian capital ships.

The frigates though, manouvered out onto the left flank, engaging the Dornalian fighters and mobile suits. A Libertarian frigate carries one heavy gravitronic gun, which makes it capable of fending of against light cruisers and the like, but it would serve the purpose of a light strike cruiser, engaging tactically important targets at the Admiral's command.

Following thier orders, they tried to lure the pursuers away from the main battle to make way for the reinforcements.

The New Dornalians tried to catch up, the enemy pilots were certainly skilled and giving them a hard run. The Keith Moons and Marinesko II interceptors gave chase with the John Entwistles providing support fire, while the heavier Peter Townshend suits and Mothras Strike Fighters kept their eye out for the enemy by covering the corvettes...

...which detected an enemy coming fast.

"ENEMY SHIPS! FRIGATE SIZED! COMING IN FAST!"

The Townshends and Mothras then charged the frigates, jinking, weaving, and firing torpedoes and Warp Cannons at the sensors to try and disable the enemy vessels, while the Frigates began firing their own Demolisher Guns to provide coverage.

OOC: The Walken's a modified Executor-type called the Chuck Norris. Not an Eclipse.

IC:

Ma yelled, "Throw up shields. Brace for impact!"

The enemy fire rocked the ship, and performed some damage, as the command bridge was rocked by the explosions and the Amethyst anti-cloaking sensors took damage. But, as the Walken was a certified ubership, it simply launched another volley of antimatter torpedoes, 20 in total, followed with conventional torpedoes in rapid succession at the heavy destroyers.

The battleships formed up into an armoured wedge, firing their heaviest guns into the midst of enemy carriers and battleships. Every battleships carried no less htan six superheavy gravitronic guns, capable of ripping the largest ship apart by creating an extreme gravitional anomaly. The battlecruisers were smaller and weaker than the battleships, but roughly equal to a Star Destroyer in size and its superior when it came to firepower.

The Star Destroyers and Mao Zedongs, impressive machines that they were, took serious hits, with one destroyed and another crippled. However, though the others were seriously shaken by the wave of fire by all sides, they still had some movement capacity and were still able to fight. The same went for the Maos, they took some hits, but still were able to function. The carriers did worst of all, losing one and damaging three severely.

However, they had to retaliate quickly, otherwise they would be sitting ducks. The Maos fired a spread of Singularity Torpedoes-10 to be exact-at the bridges and weapons of the enemy Battleships. The shields were in the way, but the resulting singularity created would probably do very nasty things to them. Anyway, they then fired a spread of 60 conventional torpedoes per ship at the enemy's bridges and weapons and sensors to be sure, and then backed up, forming into a circular formation around the Carriers along with the Star Destroyers, who unleashed a hail of Ion Cannon and Demolisher Gun and torpedo fire on the enemy Battlecruisers, and were told keep on firing at their bridges and their sensors.

The heavy cruisers targeted and engaged the Dornalian strike cruisers, aiming for the structurally weak part between the engines and the bridge compartements (assuming your strike cruisers resembles Nebulon-B frigates, also known as Rebel Cruisers. The reply to the Juvenile attack, which destroyed a Strike Cruiser and damaged the bridge on another, but saw the rest living, found them going all out with their own armaments, assembling in a concave crescent and charging, targeting the bridges, weapons, and sensors.

OOC: Man I'm so.... GRAFTLSD:KLJD. I accidently put Jorrus in Korjar instead of Aritash (eventhough he was already in Aritash).

IC: Jorrus flew the Andromeda towards the Relative Liberty fleet, shields raised and weapons charged. He and his fleet was ready for the assault. On the view scree, he could clearly see that the New Dornalians were assaulted from the rear by the Relative Liberty fleet. He decided to take advantage, and assault the enemy fleet from IT's rear.

The Goliath Star Destroyers had their guns charged, and open fired as soon as the nearest enemy ship was in range. The Huntaer SD's moved on in, and cloaked masking their approach behind the Goliaths as engine exhaust. Hopefully, th enemy would be too buisy fighting the New Dornalians.

The Abomination manouvered to expose its broadside to the Dornalian mobile suits and fighters. Hundreds of light gravitronic guns fired salvo after salvo, firing constantly and with great accuracy. If hit, a vessel would crumble and implode as gravitational forces ripped hull plating apart like paper. Even a glacning hit could prove fatal to a vessel with weak shielding. If not hit, the gravitational anomaly would still affect the ships handling, making it hard to manouver in that maelstrom of rays and bolts.

Libertarian heavy destroyers are built to combat capital ships, but not of this size. Several destroyers were badly hurt, some destroyed completely.
''Admiral, we've lost the heavy destroyers Faithful, Stalwart, The Bold, and Courageous. No survivors. Destroyers Indefatigueble, Dominating, Brutal, Rapid, Tenacious, Undaunted and Righteous badly damaged'', reported the same metallic voice as before.
''Report escort and fighter casualties as percent of original strength, in the future,'' ordered the Admiral, as he watched a few dots on the radar display disappear.
''Order the Tenacious to execute order ZV81-Omega, but make sure that the destroyers to concentrate their fire on the shield generators.''
''Aye, sir.''
ZV81-Omega is the codename of a Libertarian kamikaze mission. When a ship is ordered to perform the operation, it fires all of its weapons against the target's shield generators, and then aims for any important section of the ship such as the bridge, the engines or the hangar. As loyal Libertarians, that was just what the crew of the Tenacious did. Firing the last of their torpedoes, they charged head first into the Dornalian Executor Star Dreadnought, amidst a hail of gravitronic bolts aimed at the shield generators.

The Star Destroyers and Mao Zedongs, impressive machines that they were, took serious hits, with one destroyed and another crippled. The Dornalian retaliation hit the Libertarian battleships hardest, as the battlecruisers were circling around towards the rear of the Dornalian battleships. A group of battleships manouvered in front of the Abomination to protect her from the salvo. The group was hit badly but the shields held, and the battleships could respond by an attack of their own. Six super-heavy gravitronic guns, capable of seriously damaging the largest of ships in the Libertarian reportoir, thirty-six heavy guns and thirty-two medium gravitronic guns. That was the armament a singel Libertarian battleship could effectivly use against enemy ships of this size. All of the Libertarian retaliation was now focused on only two of the Dornalian ships, two Mao Zedong II (the largest ships, if memory serves me right), at the Admiral's order.

The reply to the Juvenile attack, which destroyed a Strike Cruiser and damaged the bridge on another, but saw the rest living, found them going all out with their own armaments, assembling in a concave crescent and charging, targeting the bridges, weapons, and sensors.
The Juvenile, although not as nimble as a light cruiser, is still a very agile ship, and as the Dornalian formed up and charged, the Libertarians dived under and above the enemy ships. Targeting sensors, bridges and thrusters as they passed by, the Juveniles avoided much of the enemy barrage, though not all of it. One cruiser was hit before it could commence its evasive manouver, and the bolt knocked out the navigational controls. The [Amazing drifted blinded and aimlessly forward in the path of the Dornalian charge.

OOC: Judging from the text, I assume you posted as the HA.
IC:
The rear in this case, was the back of the battleship strike groups, already involved in a fierce fight with the Dornalian battleships and carriers. Hoping to maximize enemy friendly fire, Blood-Fang ordered the battleships to close in on the Dornalian ships, but to maintain the distance between the strike groups wherever possible. Trying to position a battleship within thirty metres of another one is a very dangerous manouver, and must be executed carefully. With such large ships and at those distances, even the gravitational forces between them must be acounted for, lest a collision will occur.

The anti-matter warheads rocked the Star Destroyers, they were in a loose formation, so a good portion of them escaped serious damage (moderate damage was still reported throughout) but the damage still succeeded crippling or killing ten of the smaller models. It was a huge loss, and this one made Ma wince. This was the situation he feared. A mass kill-off. Then again, one had to learn the hard way sometimes....

But before he could aid the Star Destroyers, a cry was heard from his helmsman:

"KAMIKAZES! They've hit our shield generators, we're down to half-strength, casulaties are reported, and one of our generators is damaged!"

Ma ordered, "Fire as many Weapons as you can into the horde, and BRACE FOR IMPACT!

Upon Ma's command, a blistering wall of fire emerged from the Walken, as Gauss Gun shot, Demolisher Gun shot, Anti-matter torpedo shot, and even singularity torpedoes were being fired in a Mad Minute to try and stave off the horror that would result from any kamikaze attack (at least make it less). Meanwhile, they also began moving as fast as possible, preferably away from the crazies....and away from ND units.

The Dornalian retaliation hit the Libertarian battleships hardest, as the battlecruisers were circling around towards the rear of the Dornalian battleships. The Mao Zedong IIa's weren't the largest (the Mao III's were), but the Maos that were hit barely survived, and one died. The crews on the remaining Star Destroyers and the Mao Zedong IIIs were very surprised that the enemy's shields were that strong....such an enemy was new to them. They gave them that.

But, this was war, so a group of Mao IIa's and Mao III's opened fire and charged on the Missile Cruisers in a wide line (staying in loose formation) with Demolisher Guns and Ion cannons, aiming for their bridges and sensors, while the rest of the Star Destroyers and the other Maos had to figure out a way to crack the enemy shields....so, they tightened their lines, closing up their gaps just a little and arranging themselves into a concave crescent to mass fire more effectively, and decided to try moving backwards to try and suck the Liberatarians in, and firing Ion Torpedoes and conventional torpedoes and they fired singularity and antimatter torpedoes every so often at the enemy Battleships, trying to take out their shields. The carriers, though weakened, gave Demolisher Gun fire as well at the enemy too as they moved back.

The [Amazing drifted blinded and aimlessly forward in the path of the Dornalian charge.

The Strike Cruisers were hit, and one was rendered incapacitated by the attack. The others were damaged, but the loose formation and the shields kept things solvent. They stopped, and charged out under the sandwich of fire created by the Liberatarians, firing at the Juveniles as they moved out. They then tried to move to aid the corvettes and frigates under attack, tightening their lines as well to mass fire....

Numerous fighters fell, and the Mobile Suits were in trouble. So, the frigates and corvettes provided aid by firing their own Demolisher Guns (as powerful as those on the Maos) and torpedoes at the enemy frigates and the Abomination's guns to provide aid. Meanwhile, the fighters and MSs regrouped around the frigates and corvettes, waiting for another chance to strike.

''Cruisers Righteous, Undaunted and Rapid, this is Admiral Blood-Fang speaking. Execute order ZV81-Omega.
The heavy cruisers fired the last few of their torpedoes, a mere dozen or so from each ship, and proceeded to transfer power from the weapons systems to shields and thrusters. Kinetic energy is speed times half of the mass, and so even for a large craft like a heavy cruiser, speed is of the essence.
Now not one, but three cruisers charged head first at the Walken's bridge. Even if the ship was not destroyed all together, as Blood-Fang planned, the ensuing havoc would hopefully prevent it from participating in the battle anymore.

As the Dornalian fire hit the appraocing Libertarians, another volley was fired by the remaining 39 battleships.
''Admiral, battleship Famine hit and crippled, can no longer participate. Lost manouverability, the ship is drifting. Thrusters completley out, communication out, weapon systems going off-line in ten seconds.''
The remaing 38 battleships. 228 super-heavy gravitronic guns, 1368 heavy guns, 1216 medium gravitronic guns. All the firepower of the entire 2nd Fleet's battleships were now focused on that single ship in the middle of the crescent.
''Admiral, all ships are taking damage, I don't know fot how much longer we can hold. Even the battle groups can't stand this amount of punishment forever,'' the voice in the speakers were heard saying.

The Strike Cruisers were hit, and one was rendered incapacitated by the attack. The others were damaged, but the loose formation and the shields kept things solvent. They stopped, and charged out under the sandwich of fire created by the Liberatarians, firing at the Juveniles as they moved out. They then tried to move to aid the corvettes and frigates under attack, tightening their lines as well to mass fire....As it was, the Juveniles couldn't win this battle all by themselves. They needed to hold out until the battleships could be freed to aid them, but that moment seemed so very distant to the crews of the many cruisers hit by the Dornalian retaliation.
Four cruisers were crippled or destroyed in that maelstorm, four cruísers whose names had been remembered and honoured for centuries. Built during the glory days of the Old Empire, these ships represented craftmanship long forgotten in the Libertarian realm. Once damaged, they could never be restored to their former glory, Libertarian engineers could do no more than to strap on whatever armour sheets were available and hope that it would hold. Once destoryed, those ships were lost for eternity.

The fighters had taken more punishment than was ever intended for a craft to take, and they had just barely held. Now, they fled. The once so proud pilots, heroes of recent wars and legends of the Empire, true sons of the Dictator and protectors of the Stellar Empire, ran away like frightened women and dogs. Unworthy of serving in the Libertarian Fleet, they retreated into the void of space.

The fan of light, fire and brimstone hit the Tenacious head-on, reducing the once so proud cruiser into little more than a burning hull and melted superstructure on collision course with an Executor.

The Walken had shields up, but the massive impact of three vessels slamming into the bridge eventually overpowered the shields and crippled the bridge, knocking out the Walken as Ma and the survivors were rushed to sickbay, and emergency forcefields tried to prevent them from being sucked out into space. "Gracie," the Ship's AI, would try to activate her Command Algorithm and take control, but the damage dictated that she'd have to take a bit (i.e. next post after your's, she takes temporary command). In the meantime, all the crew could do was fire back at the hulk coming towards them....

The single ship in the middle of the crescent was destroyed, but the New Dornalians kept on firing their Demolishers, volleys of conventional and ion torpedoes, a volley of anti-matter and singularity torpedoes, and their Ion Cannons into the battleships, as they stopped and began to move forward, pressing their attack. They were running low on antimatter and singularity torpedoes, but they had enough for two more volleys of each. And the way things were going, it seemed they weren't doing half bad....and they had to keep this up. The Walken had taken a serious hit, and it would have to fall on the next ship in command, the Simon Bolivar, to finish the job of bloodying the Liberatarians.

The frigates and corvettes and the fighters and MSs under their cover breathed a sigh of relief; they didn't have to worry about fighter harassment now. They moved in for the kill, assaulting the enemy frigates with their usual Demolisher Guns and Ion Cannons, moving tightly to try and mass as much fire as possible onto the enemy. The fighters and MSs, now emboldened, also moved out to attack the frigates as well with their own weapons, torpedoes, Warp Cannons, and the odd lightsaber (these are mobile suits, after all). They also had time to fire torpedoes at the battleships, though most of their effort was aimed at the frigates, so these shots were more of a spray-pray nature...

Aiming for the farthest ships, those that were next to the recently obliterated one, the groups fired all of their weapons at once. In addition, as they passed by the battleships launched all of their boarding craft. Thirty Bucaneer claas boarding pods, 1140 crafts in total, 570 per flank, were launched at the Dornalian vessels. Carrying 25 troopers each, the Bucaneers were specially designed to penetrate shields by using space-warping contraptions and then cut through the target ship's hull with industrial grade lasers. The Buccaneers were met by Gauss Gun flak fire from any of the ships they tried to break into, which tried to take out as many as possible before they could attach on the sides. Meanwhile, Infantry and Kroot Mercenary units onboard each vessel, plus People's Acolytes, got ready to fight back any incoming enemies, picking up lightsabers, railguns, and pistols, plus readying the blastdoors and internal forcefields....

Two ships were severely damaged by the Liberatarian attack, and the Simon Bolivar contacted the Walken. "Gracie," the Walken's AI, who was in command by now, moved the Walken closer to the battle, trying closer to the Battleships and unloading a horrific amount of fire onto them, firing torpedoes in waves. It's Duplex Drive Demolisher Gun, which had not yet been fired, was finally coaxed into battle, as it was unleashed at the Liberatarian Battleships, in particular, aimed at the Abomination. This monster was the equivalent of a Huntarian Axial Laser, and much more powerful than your average Yamato Cannon.

The Bolivar and three other ships plus several of the larger Star Destroyers, meanwhile, opened fire on the Abomination, firing all the Energy weapons and conventional torpedoes (which the Anaconda Replicating System ensured a near-infinite supply of) they could at the monster, aiming for the sensors, bridges, anything.

With this, a prompt retaliation was released by the other Maos, the Carriers, and the SDs not engaged with the Abomination onto the enemy, firing back like before....

The shields held back most of the damage the gravitronic weapons could deal, but they took a terrible hit, and two Strike Cruisers found themselves damaged severely. The others had to contend with a steady stream of onboard casualties and moderate damages....

They joined with the ships surrounding the Juveniles as fast as they could, splitting up into two groups--one going high, one going low--they gunned their engines and tried to close in on the Juveniles, firing at them with all their Ion-based weapons to try and disable them.

Meanwhile, the ships surrounding the Juveniles were disoriented by the breakout, and took some damage, but regrouped quickly and tried to give chase, firing away. Their sensors having taken damage, it would be difficult to fire the torpedoes exactly where they had to go, and navigation difficult. So, they had to rely on the Strike Cruisers to do most of the aiming and navigating for them, targeting the enemy so they had a general idea where to move and shoot their energy weapons.

The Dornalian frigates, sensing the feint, stopped and fired Demolisher Guns to engage them at long distance, and Ion Torpedoes, before a 8 ship detachment of frigates moved with some fighters to aid the beleaguered ships hunting the Juveniles with a flurry of Ion Torpedoes and energy fire.

The New Dornalians split ranks and let them pass through. Moderate damage was dealt for all ships to command and to some of their Gauss Guns, which would reduce their effectiveness. Each ships' Gracie unit was forced to take command of those systems the bridge was having trouble with (OOC: Full command next turn), but for the most part, they could function. The Walken, strong as it was, suffered damage to its thrusters, reducing its manueverability.

Something else had to be done to break the Liberatarians. At this moment, break-ins were reported all over the fleet, and the captains were wondering when the Alliance was going to deploy its forces. And, it was pretty astounding how fast the enemy went.

So, they quickly wheeled about, and reformed their crescent to face the enemy. The Walken sluggishly moved to the center, and then, all units commenced fire on the enemy's thrusters, which were definetly turned to them, with the usual Ion Cannons, Demolisher Guns, and torpedoes. Advancing forward, they moved at an even pace, trying to keep the Walken with them.

They charged at the battlecruisers, dumping their Ion Cannons and Ion Torpedoes onto them and attempting to surround them on all sides.

For simplicity's sake we can assume that the pods are equally distributed along the lines. Now, I can't possibly RP 22 500 troopers in detail, in just one thread, so I'll pick one and consider it to belargely representative to the rest of the groups.

IC:
The pod made contact with the targeted Dornalian battleship, magnetically sealing itself to the hull. Six jet streams of self-sealing, carbon based foam was sprayed unto the battleship's hull. Four industrial grade lasers began cutting through the ship's hull, leaving a circular hole where the marines would enter.
The lasers were through, pressurized oxygen pushing the slab of hull plating out of the way. Two grenades were launched, bouncing off the walls and coming to rest on either sides of the hull breach. Smoke spew forth, covering the advancing marines, making it impossible to aim without visual enhancements.
''Infrared!'' barked the commanding officer, a Sergeant Fast-Paws. 25 hand reached for the right sides of their helmets, switching visual mode to one less dependant on the usual spectrum. Going in guns blazing, the mariens advanced through the breach two at a time, firing on anything they could see. Aiming for the guns mounted on the roof, the marines fired a salvo of plasma bolts at it before moving up to the corners of the sealed-off compartement.
''Clear!'' reported 24 voices in unison, and the Sergeant began issuing new orders. Explosives were brought up, slabs of TacEx were smeared on the blastdoors, and the marines backed up aginst the wall. As the TacEx was detonated, the marines readied themselves for another charge, smoke grenades in hand and voice scramblersready to be activated. Once they were, they would fill the surroundings with white noice, making communication on unsecured channels almost impossible.
BOOOOM!

Advancing forward, they moved at an even pace, trying to keep the Walken with them.
The breakthrough had been achieved, but left the Libertarian rear wide open for enemy retaliation, which the Dornalian commander used to full effect. Knocking out the main thrusters, dealing moderate damage, severe damage which required a spacedock to repair on some ships, the Dornalian counter-attack left the Libertarians partly immobilized, as they were unable to accelerate. Forward and side thrusters still worked, and the ships could turn and decelerate but not accelarate, or change direction of flight.
Having only one option left, as the intended surrounding manouver was now impossible to fulfill, the ships turned around, having their heaviest weapons face the Dornaliand fire, while still flying away from them. A mockery of the manouver of the frigates, performed not out of skill, but crippling blows.

The battlecruisers were still firing at the Walken, bent on taking her out once and for all. Missiles, torpedoes, gravitronic guns, everything was used in this battle. Shield generators and thrusters were prioritized, though the bridge and weapon systems got their fair share of punishment too. To keep moving was the key here, as the battlecruisers would loath to be caught in the Walken's main line of fire, and so the cruisers manouverd around, blitzing from one place to another, firing ashot or two before speeding away to the next location, randomly determined by the ships' onboard computers.

The Liberatarians were dedicated to this fight? Well, so were they.

The light cruisers, trying to avoid the pestering frigates as long as possible, circled around the globe of confused ships at close distance, taking crack shots at any visible enemy crafts. There wasn't time, nor room, to aim for something particular, as was done before when the Libertarians targeted shield generators and thrusters, the goal here was simply to pound the enemy until he retreated.

Inside the confused spehere, the Libertarians ship took damage, but they stood the test. They would not falter. This time, they were prepared for the enemy ion wepaonry and, although they had not the space to manouver, they had their shields tuned to maximum, tapping energy from the thrusters sytems which weren't needed at the moment. In the heat of battle, extra energy had been transferred to porotect certain vital systems, leaving the kitchens and bathrooms without electricity as ion fire blew the circuits. Otherwise, the Libertarians were still ticking.
Counter-fire was of course fired, though the lack of space meant that the heaviest guns could not be used too often, and mostly medium and light were fired.

The frigates ignored the enemy that was retreating. The present situation was demanding that the battlecruisers be dealt with, and retreating diehards were not worth the effort compared to fighting diehards. They charged at the battlecruisers, dumping their Ion Cannons and Ion Torpedoes onto them and attempting to surround them on all sides. The frigates weren't retreating, they were trying to lure the enemy away from the main fight. And therefore, when the Dornalian force turned away to attack the battlecruisers, the frigates charged again. Picking up speed, the zoomed through space, firing every gun aboard, using their advanced communication equipment to jam enemy communications and radar, hoping to cause as much confusion as possible.

OOC: There are 25 men in each pod, and 450 - 500 pods per flank.

BOOOOM!

The blastdoors held, if they had several new dents on them-it would take more than that to ruin them. However, the guns sustained damage; two of them blew up, the rest operated with damage sustained. The Infantry and Acolytes huddled on the other sides of the blast doors got nervous, but simply raised their weapons at the doors, waiting for them to burst.

The guns simply began spinning....the guards manning the remote turrets switched the scanners to InfraRed and X-ray, and began spraying at whatever was in the sealed area with all the slugs their guns could spit out. If these farkers survived, they would at least be weakened for the Acolytes and infantry to try and fight.

Meanwhile, the Dare Death teams onboard each vessel, who were scheduled for black ops raids, were now moved up onto the line. The command, who was by now "Gracie," felt that pro invaders needed to be stopped by professionals. Thus, the Dare Death were let out of their cells, and assembled along with the other infantry. Unsheating lithams, they prepared their Force-powered blades, capable of producing Force shock when used properly, for blood, and took positions.

The battleships and Star Destroyers began moving in. Their crews were tired, their shields buckling under the weight of the enemy fire, and Gracie units on each vessel had to begin taking command of systems that were becoming imperiled or understaffed, but their efforts were worth it. Damage was spread out, moderate all over.

The New Dornalians simply fired again. They increased the pace of their Movement, as five Star Destroyers had to exit to aid the Walken. The ships in formation simply closed their ranks, and kept moving on, keeping to their advantage and firing at the enemy weapons and shield stations with all of their might. They would not escape.

Meanwhile, the Walken was getting pestered, and a hail of fire not seen since the US Navy tried to kill the Yamato was witnessed by the crewmen onboard. The ship itself was sustaining the hail of fire well, but damage was reported on the thrusters and to a lesser extent on the shields. The bridge and weapons were fine, but if help didn't arrive, the Walken would be dead.

The five Star Destroyers that had broke ranks regrouped in a defensive formation around the Walken. They massed their own energy fire (Ion and Demolisher) and conventional torpedoes at the enemy battlecruisers, joining the Walken's cavalcade of death, which was the same waves of fire.

They also began throwing Gauss up to prevent the battlecruisers from coming any closer. The main difficulty was keeping up with the battlecruisers, whose speed was making everybody really, really, angered. As such, they began to attempt to lead their shots, following the battlecruisers whereever they moved with fire aimed at their thrusters and weapons. Guidance systems on the torpedoes also were told to lock onto the ships; it was hard, but a few tried....

Otherwise, the Libertarians were still ticking.
Counter-fire was of course fired, though the lack of space meant that the heaviest guns could not be used too often, and mostly medium and light were fired.

The ND Ships got off light here; the medium and light guns only caused some damage. But, the lack of manuever and the failure of the Ion Attack forced them to respond with torpedoes and Gauss gun shots. Meanwhile, utilizing onboard tractor beams, they tried to push the enemy away and give them some room....

Meanwhile, the frigates simply kept on shooting. In a chase out of Benny Hill, they zipped as close to the enemy light cruisers as possible, firing ion and torpedo shots as fast as possible at thrusters and vital systems.

The frigates detected the enemy, and then tried to move as fast as possible to avoid getting excessively shot. However, the enemy had caught them off guard and crippled three of the frigates in their thrusters, knocking them out. Five of the rest sustained moderate damage to thrusters, and had to respond, though with reduced mobility.

Communications were sketchy; the jamming caused a lot of distruption that the Frigates had to contend with. They began jumping from their Subspace comms to FTL Comms and all other known types of communication to try and beat the enemy jammers, and stay coordinated. Those that could did an about face, using tractor beams as an on-the-spot remedy to help those who could fight, but had limited capabilities of movement.

They then tried to focus all their fire on the enemy, deploying Ion Cannon and Demolisher Gun shots at enemy weapons and systems platforms, especially where those jamming systems were, and to cover the fighters and mobile suits that had been moving with the frigates which began to try and make attacks of their own, swarming the enemy frigates and gunning for the same targets the frigates were with their own torpedoes and Warp Cannons.

Reinforcements came in for the Relative Liberty Fleet. Though it didn't look like they were loosing the fight, the Empire managed to get their ships into the systems on time. A fleet of 100 Eradicator Towerless Star Destroyers was sent in aid. The Eradicators.... They'll soon be replacing the old, outdated Imperator TSDs. Stronger hull, more powerfull weaponery.... A larger fighter support. It's an improvement. They approached the Enemy fleets, namely the Alliance and the New Dornalians. The Eradicators engaged their Ablative Armor Mk II systems which, unfortunatly for them, means they can't fire any torpetoes. No matter. Their lasers would be powerfull enough to punch through the enemy fleet.

Several thousands of Tie Darts were launched from the Eradicator's hangar bays, and they began to go ahead of the fleet, head on into the New Dornalian Fighters.

Captain Froman flew his new Tie Enforcer ahead of the Squadron of huntarian Ties. He looked out of his helmet's visor, and could see the enemy fleet looming in closer. <Wings, where are we?>

<Spector Leader sanding by.>

<Theta Leader standing by.>

<Beta Leader standing by.>

<Right boys. It's killing time. Go into your formations, I want this to be a dirty battle. Use any method necessary to win, even if it's one where we'd normaly get fired.... Or executed. The Empire hasn't been doing very well on the outer rim, and we intend to fix it. The Bombers will be comming in soon, and we need to clear some space for them. Target the Mao Zedongs, and the Star Destroyers. We can beat them....>

The acceleration of the Tie Engine could be heard. Froman activated his torpetoes, and prepaired to lock on to the nearest target. Wait 'till you see the whites of their eyes....

The New Dornalian fighters broke off from their Frigate escorts to react to the newcomers, shooting at them and assembling into figure-five kill teams to hunt enemy TIEs. Huntarian Government forces had arrived, and not too happy to see a bunch of Reds in their space.

The Maos got word of this. All they could say was "Crap." The Liberatarian Battleships were crippled in terms of mobility, and for now, they could be dealt with by a smaller force. This strategy was risky, but they felt somewhat safe.

Half of the Star Destroyers and Mao Zedongs broke off from the formation, leaving the carriers and the others to close the gaps in the formation and keep shooting. These ships then assembled in a star formation, and then opened fire with their Demolishers and Ion Cannons on full blast, moving in close and aiming for the newcomers' Star Destroyers.

The Ties continued to persue their enemies. Captain Froman kept his hand on the trigger, and prepaired to open fire at the Enemy fighters. <Wings 1&2, formation. Attack pattern Charlie-Bravo, follow my wing and do what I do.>

<Affirmative.>

<Roger that.>

1 wing of Tie Dart's and Tie Enforcers broke off the main assault, and began to turn around 360?'s. Rappidly spinning in a way that would make any normal Human feel faint, and dizzy. They formed into three rows, 4 on top, 5 in the middle, and 4 on the bottom. The middle row consited of the Tie Enforcers, while the top and bottom consisted of Tie Darts. The Eradicators fired several torpetoes at the enemy fighters, hoping to nock a few out before the next wing followed in persuit. After they made their assault, another wing would follow, and then one more. Each repeating the same formation, and fire patterns.

They seemed to miss one key event. The Eradicator's had their ablative armor activated, making their hull six times stronger than it normaly would be. Their Turbolasers were charged, and ready to be used. It will be a long time before the Dornalian fleet will eliminate the Empire's.

The Eradicator's easily took the damage, with their Ablative Armor up and running. They responded kindly and fired upon the Star Destroyer's towers. These were old designs which the empire immediatly recognized (OOC: Assuming you're not using the towerless strategy like me)

However, they were unsure of what to do with the Mao Zedongs.
They attempted to target their Heavy Turbolasers at any possible shield generators, and sensor arrays. Perhapse by luck they could find the bridge of the Mao Zedongs, and release all of their energy upon the enemy starships.

A few fighters were knocked out, but the Waves of New Dornalian fighters continued their assault. The manueverability of the enemy proved tenacious, but they tried to combat this with the John Entwistles, and their distance support guns, using flak rounds, and the Townshends, using their torpedoes and heavy lasguns, held in hands like Rambo shooting at the enemy with full force. Meanwhile, the fighters continued their assault at the enemy, merging into clawed X's two kill teams at a time (like on candy crane machines) and moving on their targets, massing fire on the TIE Enforcers.

A group of two kill teams, meanwhile, went after the wing that was spinning, using their technology to the fullest by firing gauss guns, warp cannons, and trying to get a missile lock, leading their targets as they kicked their engines into overdrive and began a distanced but angry pursuit.

They seemed to miss one key event. The Eradicator's had their ablative armor activated, making their hull six times stronger than it normaly would be. Their Turbolasers were charged, and ready to be used. It will be a long time before the Dornalian fleet will eliminate the Empire's.

OOC: I actually removed the towers myself after I had the ND Electronics and weapons initially installed by Border Guards. So they're not vulnerable from that angle.

IC:

The Mao Zedongs and Star Destroyers loosened formation to avoid the enemy turbolasers, but some damage was done. Their situation was rough now, it was certain that unless reinforcements came...well, no one wanted to think of that.

At least many of the enemy shots had not found the Mao's bridges, and many of the shots meant for the shields and sensors had missed (though two ships suffered moderate damage to shields). They then broke off their attack, seeing the superior armor of the enemy SD's. But, they had to do something....so they began manuevering above the SD's, and away to the sides, splitting up into two groups. Meanwhile, they charged up their Super Warp Cannons, to try and provide one weapon that could be used.

OOC: Now, bring up the Alliance forces, and we'll be set. You could designate you're posting as them with an OOC Disclaimer, y'know, and avoid that problem you mentioned on the GFFA Forums.

The heat from the superconductors, still lingering in the gun and emitting heat waves, presented a clear silhouette (OOC: Assuming you use superconductive coil guns. The Libertarian battleships, while unmanouverable, still mounted the full offensive capacity of Relative Liberty's strongest ships. 228 super heavy gravitronic guns, the most potent weapons ever carried by Libertarian ships in modern times, were fired at the Walken. Hopefully the beams would penetrate the shield of Star Destroyers between the Walken and hit the dreadnought's portside.

The battlecruisers meanwhile, had taken some serious damage. The Bridge Lieutenant responsible for the squadron reckoned that, since the Huntaerian reinforcements had arrived, he could just as well withdraw from the heavy fighting. Therefore the battlecruisers drifted outwards towards the periphery of the battle, to recharge their shields and to repair as much of the damage done as possible.

The ND Ships got off light here; the medium and light guns only caused some damage. But, the lack of manuever and the failure of the Ion Attack forced them to respond with torpedoes and Gauss gun shots. Meanwhile, the frigates simply kept on shooting. In a chase out of Benny Hill, they zipped as close to the enemy light cruisers as possible, firing ion and torpedo shots as fast as possible at thrusters and vital systems.
The Juveniles didn't fight the tractor beams, they used them. The chaos disturbed them just as much as the Dornalians, and the heavy cruisers engaged their frontal thrusters at fifty percent power. As soon as they had covered enough distance, they fired their remaining weapons and torpedoes, and then sped off towards the enemy flanks.

The light cruisers disengaged from the fight with the Dornalian cruisers, and turned their attention to the frigates who were now under attack from Libertarian frigates. Turning 180 degrees, they fired their heaviest weapons at the enemy. This was what light cruisers were built for: engaging light ships and escorts. The cruisers performed Tach weaves, hoping to outmanouver the enemy and catch him form behind.

The frigates detected the enemy, and then tried to move as fast as possible to avoid getting excessively shot. However, the enemy had caught them off guard and crippled three of the frigates in their thrusters, knocking them out. Using their manouverability and speed to evade most of the enemy fire, and firing occasional crack shots at the enemy. Their speed and manouverability meant that the light cruisers, much sturdier craft than the frigates, would bear the bulk of the fighting. If it proved too much for the cruisers, then would the frigates strike with all their might at an already weakened foe.

Reinforcements came in for the Relative Liberty Fleet. Though it didn't look like they were loosing the fight, the Empire managed to get their ships into the systems on time. The reinforcements were welcome. The Libertarian ships had taken quite some damage, and would need the sudden drop in intensity to regroup and perform minor repairs. Nano bots and AI weren't fields of technology that had been prioritized by the ancient Libertarian Empire, neither the decadent Republic, and therefore the newly risen Stellar Empire was sadly lacking the ability to have the ships repair themselves in the midst of combat.
Admiral Blood-Fang, beholding the Huntaerian entry from his room with the 3D projector, monitoring the battle by external and internal sensors and then transfomring this input into a comprehensible three dimensional projection of the surroundings. As the Huntaerian fleet moved to engage the Dornalians, he ordered his communications officer to hail and greet their allies.
''Greetings, Huntaerians!
I am Admiral Blood-Fang, commander of the 1st Expeditionary Force, composed of the 2nd Fleet and numerous Army and Marine Corps detachements, that has been sent to aid you in your struggle agains the rebel scum and their alien allies. The 2nd Fleet has taken heavy fire, and is fighting with reduced strength until we can receive repairs and reinforcements, but we will fight 'til the bitter end. Currently we have 38 battleships, though their main thrusters have been knocked out, 15 invasion carriers, 10 carriers, five battlecruisers, though one is severly damaged, and 20-ish heavy cruisers. In addition, there are about seven and a half thousand fighters stationed outside of sensor ragne, which the enemy think have retreated.
We are ready to serve!''

OOC: I'll add the rest of the fleet as soon as I find the main thread, where I posted it.

OOC number 2: Added the aprox. amount of capital ships, though I try to be as precise as possible. There were 1000 escort craft from the beginning, I reckon there are 'bout 800 - 850 left or something like that.

Walken's Gracie, who was now in command, decided to call in reinforcements. This was nasty fighting the Abe Lincolns had gotten into...and this was not going over well.

She wired a message to the Huntarian Alliance forces, saying, "Where are you? We must fight the Liberatarians and the Kirtir together. We need reinforcements to do this though. Please help."

Meanwhile, she wired a message to the reserve fleets in ND and TSR-

"You may come in now. We're in a tight spot."

As a result, those two reserve fleets went into warp...targeting a spot outside of the FTLi field imposed by the Alliance and preparing to move in on full power. They came and began to speed in quickly...trying to reach the battlezone in time...

The guns were down, and now, so were the blast doors. The Dare Death men sensed something was up-their background as ex-secret policemen had trained them to recognize fishy situations and obvious traps. They joined with the other Acolytes, who had lightsabers ready, and cautiously moved into the area from both sides. Two dquads of DD's lashed out with Force Lightning from their Litham blades at the men leaning out of the shuttle entrance, while the rest moved to try and take the hallway.

Meanwhile, the regulars moved further back behind a set of internal forcefields that were raised to restrict the movement of the enemy.

The DDs and the Acolyte regulars knew these were no ordinary men. But they were confident their Force powers would carry the day.

The Libertarian battleships, while unmanouverable, still mounted the full offensive capacity of Relative Liberty's strongest ships. 228 super heavy gravitronic guns, the most potent weapons ever carried by Libertarian ships in modern times, were fired at the Walken. The enemy shots didn't make it to the Walken, but they did cause major damage to the ships that absorbed the shots. Many found their shields weakening dramatically, and engineering crews often had to run back and forth to sort things out. Internal forcefields also were often thrown up. The damage could be fixed, but very slowly.

Meanwhile, the Walken itself and its escorts tried to move and repair the damages at the same time, launching long-distance shots at the enemy Battleships, as did the ND Ships that were still bearing down on them, targeting their weapons with all the ordinance they had. Meanwhile, those battleships and SDs attacking the battleships began charging their Super Warp Cannons again...

As bad as it was, the Strike Cruisers, corvettes and other smaller ships could manuever now. They took some damage, but the Strike Cruisers manuevered upwards as fast as possible and fired down on the Juveniles with torpedoes, rushing after them ASAP, the Cruisers helping each other find the targets. Meanwhile, engineering teams went to work trying to fix the sensors...and the corvettes and other small ships charged forward after them, watching their flanks.

The frigates chasing the light cruisers kept on coming, shooting them with Demolisher Guns and torpedoes. Meanwhile, they also moved up, leveled out, and tried to pounce on the weaving light cruisers, firing at them with all their might and chasing them as they descended....

The frigates took damage, but as the light cruisers joined the battle they continued their attack.

The Frigates struck back at the Light Cruisers and Frigates as well, loosening their ranks and beginning evasive maneuvers, while splitting into two groups and trying to move at their flanks, and shooting the enemy with all they had. Engineering crews onboard, meanwhile, worked to clean the damage up ASAP and tried to keep the ships fighting....

The marines threw the smoke grenades, which further reduced any chance of spotting someone through the thick mist which now hovered a few inches off the ground in the room, before charging forward with their guns blazing.
Automatic fire ripped through the ranks of the defensive personnel, Libertarian disruption rays destroying any matter hit on the molecular level. The marines placed themselves along the corners of the room, firing inwards towards the centre, using their helmets' visual enhancements to trace the enemy's body heat. They then began to circle counter-clockwise, firing on the move, while 6 and 14 drew their force swords (OOC: Asimov technology, not SW Force), trying to sneak up behind any enemy soldiers and stab them.

Meanwhile, those battleships and SDs attacking the battleships began charging their Super Warp Cannons again...''Portside and starboard thrusters! Split up in separate groups!'' was the order given by Blood-Fang. The battleships used their side thrusters, which were still functional, to once again form into the groups of four battleships each that were used before. Now they could focues all their energy on maintiang the shields in one direction, making that particular shield section as strong as the sum of all other sections on a battleship. The two ships that were left over moved to the Abomination's group, further reinforcing the shields of that group.
The ships then siphoned all energy from the thrusters to shields and weapons, once again increasing the strength of their sheilds and weapons. This should be sufficient to resist one more volley of fire from the Yamato guns.
''Another salvo, same target!'' ordered Blood-Fang once his fleet was in position. Once again, the super heavy guns were fired, directed at the Walken. While not as powerful as a Yamato gun, they were recharged many times faster.

The High Command was assembled, debating the new course of action propsed by Admiral Blood-Fang in his latest communique, encrypted as the others. He had clearly reported that he was lacking men and material for a prolonged conflict, and adviced the High Command to order a draft and try to liberate forces from other fronts and send them to his aid.
The meeting was to be concluded when a conclusion had been reached, no sooner. The nature of the request demanded it.

Several of the regular Acolytes were hit with glancing blows and fell wounded, but the others began blocking the shots with their lightsabers. Then, while a few stayed to guard the wounded, a group moved to chase the Liberatarians, firing Force shock bolts at them and even throwing their lightsabers like boomerangs at the enemy, using the Force to call them back.

Meanwhile, the Dare Death men began to use their powers to disperse the smoke, and sensing enemy movement from behind whirled around and twirled their lithams like a jai alai player would spin his bat(?), sending bolts of Force lightning at the Liberatarians coming in for a kill before charging at them with rail-SMGs as well, crying war chants to their Goddess and shooting them in charge.

The Walken and its escorts, meanwhile, took damage from the superheavy guns. One escort was destroyed outright, the others damaged severely, making more work for the engineers. The Walken itself was in danger, and it had taken damage as well.

The Gracie unit on the Walken decided to move to support the ND Light ships. Moving slowly along with her escorts, she fired long distance shots at the sphere formed by the heavy cruisers.

The Star Lord, a middle age mna with gray hair and his chest decorated with numerous medals, rose from his seat. His eyes were weary, tired of the endless conflicts he'd seen the Empire take part in for the last decade. The various Falconmen Uprisings, the clashes with the Border Warlords. Yet his hands were steady, his voice firm and without remorse as he spoke.
''I voice my opinion against this decision. The Dictator has clearly ordered us to retake the Border Worlds, to abandon this cause would be nothing but treachery. The right to issue drafts are no-one's but the Dictator's. I am steadfast in my opinion that we should not take our power for granted, for only the Dictator is supreme. Let us not abuse what power He has bestowed upon us, in His grace.''
''One vote noted against the proposition. Others?'' announced a female voice, metallic and cold as it spoke.
''I vote in support of the proposition. As comrade Bent-Tail has pointed out, the Dictator has granted us power, namely the power to control the Libertarian Armed Forces. The Dictator is currently unavailbable, and has been so for the last few months. We must act according to our duty and responsibilites in His absence. Making peace with the Border Worlds and issuing a drafting roder to win the war in Huntaer will greatly increase our strategical might and plitical influence, this must rank higher than the reconquest of some backwater planets nobody outside the Empire ever have heard of.''
''One vote against, one vote in favour.''
The debate continued in this way, until at last the matter was resolved wiht a majority in favour of proposition. A draft would be ordered. There would be peace in the outer realms. Reinforcements would arrive.

The Libertarains weren't expert swordsmen, but they were clad in heavy armour that would absorb the first few hits.

The Acolytes and the DD's were wearing their Nembutsu armor, which reduced the damage from the shrapnel through the use of "shield steel" (metal that generates a shield when a current is passed through it) vests and "Iron Cloth" material (an FT version of Kevlar, with layers of polymers and metal woven to resist damage). They felt something, but most of the DD's and Acolytes were alright, with minor damage or less. The second round of fire from the enemy marines was also resisted, though two men were hit in the shoulder and arm. The DD's and Acolytes were then caught in a melee with blades.

The Lightsabers and lithams of the Acolytes and DD's clashed with the enemy force blades, and the martial arts of the men went to work, as the Acolytes used their Force powers to shock the enemy and try to throw them down, and their blades to block the enemy blades and get some decent hits on the enemy armor in a flurry of, well, light from their lightsabers that was produced by the collective resistance and swings of blades....the armor resisted a few hits to be sure, but they made sure to not let up.

Forced to change his plans, Blood-Fang turned his formation of battleships to face the enemy. Locking their super heavy guns on the Dornalian battleships, the medium guns were instead focused on the Walken.

The ND Ship that was hit gave up the ghost, as it became crippled from the intense fire. The others went on, knowing that if they stopped, they'd end up the same way. The enemy CIWS made it difficult to strike with torpedoes. ''Engage targets at maximum thruster power. Evade enemy flak.''
Reaching their maximum acceleration rate, the fighters picked up speed and began closing the distance between themselves and the Dornalian cruisers. Their speed and sudden re-appearance would mean that, with just the right amount of luck, the enemy would not be able to respond in time. Besides, once the fighters got close enough, they would be safe agains the Walken's awe-inspiring AA weaponry.

The ND ships moved quickly to evade fire, breaking and reforming formation. The enemy ECM was distrupting RADAR, but it was functional enough so they could see where they were going. Then, they resumed their previous zigzaggy manuevers, moving about and dumping fire on the enemy.

Still, three ships recieved low damage to their Gauss Guns, though, all others escaped with minor hits.

He fired a shot in the chest of an advancing Acolyte, before he was decapitated by a Dare Death operative. 14 was slashed in the stomach by an Acolyte and, dropping his sword, used his hands to try and keep his entrails inside of him.

The ship was destroyed, and the ND Battleships and Star Destroyers decided to change their tactics. They changed direction and quickly moved to the flanks of the enemy ships, dumping fire into their sides, targeting thrusters and CIWS. They also prepared to move once more if and when when the enemy turned to face them, to keep their focus on the flanks. The Abomination:
''Admiral, enemy forces execute flanking manouver. Fighters are met with heavy flak fire from the Walken's starboard. Boarding parties on enemy battleships are pinned down and are being destroyed. The screeing vessels are evenly matched. Estimated chance of victory is 2.45.''
On the 3D screen, Blood-Fang watched as his forces were decimated. The Walken's weaponry cut a swathe through the incoming fighters, nearly annihiliating the left flank. At the same time the Dornalian battleships moved up the flanks of his own formation, and the frigates and crusiers were forced into a sort of a Mexican standoff, with neither side having the advantage.

The enemy barrage hit the flanks of the formation, disabling the side thrusters and CIWS of the outermost ships. The Abomination was hit hard, losing power to its main cannons and now completely unmanouverable.
''Status rapport!''
''Losing power in primary weapon system, portside shield pierced. Hull breached in compartements #3, #7 and #12. Sealing off compartements and re-routing power to shields. Thrusters damaged, manouverability nil. Chances of victory now 2.12 and sinking.''
''Order a general retreat. Let whatever ships still capable of flight tow the damged vessels outside the FTLi field. The fighters and frigates will cover our retreat, and then join us.''
''Yes, sir.''

The battleships in the centre of the formation, somewhat shielded from the enemy fire by their comrades, broke formation. Using their tractor beams to tow as many of the other battleships they could, and sped off towards the edges of the system.

The lead ship in the Formation detected an ominous array of signals-and thus, no luck for the Liberatarians.

"S**T!"

The enemy fighters necessitated a response. And fast. They pushed their engines into overdrive, and entered into evasive manuevers, breaking formation and fleeing two-by-two units, firing all the way at the fighters.

The Walken, meanwhile, fired its weapons into the newcomers..... Firing all of their heavier weaponry, missiles adn torpedoes, at the Walken, and then swooped down upon the frigates like birds of prey.

The frigates and the cruisers abandoned this fight, instead making a long sweeping mnaouver towards the Wlaken and its cadre of battleships. Launching fierce attack of torpedoes, gravitronic bolts and ECM, they reached for the enemy rear right wing. Daring manouvers and countermeasures helped them to avoid the bulk of the enemy fire, though all too many were hit. When the battle started the screening vessels had numbered a full thousand, now they were down to six and a half hundred.

The Libertarians were butchered. While they were the elite, they were no match for Force-enhanced soldiers. Trained in swordsmanship, though not even close to the level of mastership of dedicated troops. 17 was disarmed when a People's Acolyte cut is right arm off at the elbow, before stabbing him in the guts. 13 was in a fierce fight with two of the enemy. They had him on the run, constantly forced to block their thrusts and cuts instead of attacking himself. 25 was stabbed in the back while holding his own against one of the DDs. 1 had thrown his sword at a PA, and drawn his machine gun instead. Flush with success, the Acolytes and DD's moved to finish off whatever survivors were left (the probability of this being very low).

All the while, the DD's began uluating, and emitting a brutal war chant, one that was familiar to Hajarra. It translated: "For the Goddess, we must hack them down!" Cumbersome in English, even to the fellow Acolytes, it proved quite blood-curdling when spoken in Hajarran....

The ND Battleship crews began to cheer, but the Simon Bolivar's captain ordered a halt, and instead, told them to focus on defeating the enemy attacking the Walken. Thus, the Mao Zedongs changed course, and began moving to save the Walken from certain destruction, moving above the foe and dumping another round of torpedoes.

OOC: Huntaer gave me OOC Permission to command the Rebels as an NPC force. He also indicated you could command the Huntarian vessels as an NPC force, if you wished.

IC:

The Alliance Goliath SD's and Huntaer SD's, meanwhile, were asked to relieve the New Dornalians against the Huntaer fleet. Thus, Jorrus moved out to the flanks of the enemy fleet as fast as he could, concealing the bulk of the Huntaer SD's again under the guise of engine exhaust and trying to reach the rear of the enemy. Weapons charged, they would deliver a blow in conjunction with the New Dornalians, who had their Super Warp Cannons charged.

Meanwhile, the ND forces, who had moved off to the sides, doubled back around, and targeted the rear engines of the Huntaer Government SD's with their Super Warp Cannons. Hopefully, this would cause something.

The Strike Cruisers and the other ND Light Ships chased the frigates and cruisers gunning for the Walken, slamming their engines into overdrive and assembling into a series of x-shaped kill teams to dump as much firepower into the enemy ships as possible (focusing on whatever engines or weapons they could hit), and still be able to move.

The Walken, meanwhile, sustained the new round of fire, and its shields were almost gone. Reports of casualties were everywhere, and it was generally hard for engineering and the robots onboard to keep up with the situation. The saving grace was luck, forcefields, the Walken's sturdy construction and the cadre of ships around the Walken, which had taken the brunt of the blast-thus being worse off (One ship had succumbed as well). Otherwise, they needed help-and fast.

The frigates and those fighters not engaged versus the Huntarians, meanwhile, took on their new foe, firing at the enemy Liberatarian fighters with torpedoes and whatever gauss they could muster.

OOC: Huntaer gave me OOC Permission to command the Rebels as an NPC force. He also indicated you could command the Huntarian vessels as an NPC force, if you wished. The fighters, having already sustained heavy casualties from the Walken's first salvo, retreated. Firing one last volley of fire, they teamed up with the fleeing battleships and battlecruisers. Their numbers were heavily decimated; out of 7700 only about 3700 remained.

The cruisers continued their attack, as they were to cover the fighters' escape. Aiming for the belly of the SSD, they fired yet another salvo of missiles, torpedoes and gravitronic bolts. Flying underneath theWalken in an attempt to escape the better part of the enemy fire, they attacked once again.

Hopefully, this would cause something. The Star Destroyers broke formation to avoid the enemy barrage. Moving out to the flanks, the Huntaerian forces opened a gap in the midst of their ranks, through which the rebel's fire would pass to hit the ND forces on the other side.
As the Super Warp Cannons' fire tore through space, passing by the green bolts of blaster fire from the rebel SDs, the Huntaerian forces swarmed outwards. Passing close by the enemy ships, they turned inwards as they passed through the enemy fromation to escape the pincer manouver. Now the situation was the reverse of what the Dornalians had planned; they were the surrounded and it was the Huntaerians who could engage in the kesselslacht. TIE fighters were sent against the Wlaken, the modified Huntaerian versions that the galaxy knew and feared. They would relieve Libertarian forces and hopefully bring the giant to its knees. Menawhile volley after volley of blaster fire were fired at the encircled foe.

The frigates and those fighters not engaged versus the Huntarians, meanwhile, took on their new foe, firing at the enemy Liberatarian fighters with torpedoes and whatever gauss they could muster. Two of the cruisers were utterly destroyed, proud beacons of the Dictator's holy might reduced to scrap metal floating around aimlessly in space far away from home. Seven more were so severly damaged that there were no hope of salvation. They voluntarily performed the ultimate sacrifice, the final testament to the holy righteousness of the Dictator's holy war; a suicide attack. Dashing blindly for the enemy flag ship, the impact destroyed the remnants of the once so proud and glorious ships of the Libertarian fleet.
The others, having avoided serious and crippling injury, continued the battle with renewd determination, bent on avening their fallen comrades. Walken would fall- There was no return, the die was cast and mnay other clichees that never was uttered by the holy warriors of Relative Liberty. There was no thought, no epic speeches, there was only action, bold and determined force.

The Libertarian fighters withdrew after sustaining serious casualties, being reduced to less than half their original strength. Huntaerian TIE fighters replaced them. At full strength and more determined than ever, they were a fearsome enemy. Striking witohut remorse, they passed through the Walken's shield of battleships and striked like vultures at a carcass. Firing their blasters in attack run after attack run, they bombarded the Dornalian flagship with all the might the Huntaerian Empire could muster.

The Walken tried to shoot back with its own Gauss Guns, and was able to defeat a number of enemy torpedoes and missiles. Still, a number got through, along with the bolts, dealing damage to the Walken and ensuring the inevitable was merely delayed...the Walken then opened fire on as many enemy ships and fighters as possible with its Demolishers and Gauss Guns.

It fired back at the Liberatarians attacking it with renewed determination, and the ND Light Ships went after those who had survived the previous round, targeting them with the usual relish. The New Dornalian fighters that were battling the Liberatarian fighters before shifted objectives, and began hunting the Huntarian fighters along with their comrades.

The ND Battleships and SD's engaging the Government suffered some friendly fire and enemy fire hits, and one SD was eliminated. They then joined with the Alliance forces, which also took damage to quickly move underneath the foe as fast as possible and shift their positions to the outside of the Huntarian Government forces, shooting at enemy weapons all the while while their engines went into overdrive. Those Battleships and SD's engaging the Liberatarians moved to blunt the Liberatarian strikes with whatever ordinance they could muster. Then, the SD's moved to join their comrades in the breakout attempt and the Battleships along with the Mobile Suit units began forming a defensive cordon, to try and keep the enemy away, targeting vital weapons systems to try and get a fighting chance.

They had done all they could against such a formidable foe, and had been beaten back. Revenge would have wait for another battle, another day. Badly hurt, leaving many of their comrades behind, they departed.
The TIE fighters kept fighting on though. Skimming as close as possible to the Walken to render any capital ship's weaponry, except that of the Walken itself, useless, they unleashed salvo after salvo of blaster fire against the crippled vessel.

Breaking formation, they scuttled out to the sides of the circle of enemy troops and upwards, forming a cone as they escaped encirclement once again. Rolling to their sides to expose the heavier weaponry (OOC: I'm not familiar with hte details of Huntaerian design, but I assume that most of the SDs are somewhat similar to the Imperator class, which mounts three double-barreled turbolaser turrets and one heavy ion cannon on either side), they opened fire first with a salvo of ion wepaonry to neutralize enemy shielding and spread confusion as communications where shut down, and then repeated bombardement by conventional turbolasers.

''Libertarian forces, why have you withdrawn from the battle?''
It was the commander of Huntaerian forces, inquiring as to why the Libertarian Admiral chose to withdraw and leave Huntaer, for whom Blood-Fang just recently pledged endless support and alliance, to fight this uneven battle on its own.
''My forces,'' responded Blood-Fang, ''have sustained, by far, the bulk of the enemy fire and several hundreds of ships have been completely wiped out. Hundreds more have been so severly damaged that they need months in space dock before they're combat ready. I wish not that you further engage in this futile battle, for you would most surely be destroyed. Instead I ask that you join me and so that we may better plot for revenge on a later ocassion. This battle is lost, I ask only that you do not lose that war also.''

OOC: I will send a TG to Huntaer, for I have something very specific in mind for those Imperial forces. I will not be able to expand this dialogue any further until I get a response form him.

The Libertarian ships, having regrouped on the edge of the Aritash system, sped off through hyperspace towards the core worlds of the Huntaer Empire. There they would repair what damage they could, draw up the plans for a defensive strategy with the commanders of Huntaer and hopefully receive reinforcements.
