OOC: Due to the slight clutter in the main thread, I have decided to make several smaller threads for each battle. As each battle progresses and each system is taken hold by either the Empire or the Alliance, people participating can move their fleets into other systems. Series of attacks on the Bunitash system will be posted up momentarily (as soon as I finish up the other two systems)

There was still a fair quantity of debris left over, and the movement was slowed considerably as a result, but with the main cannon, lasers and the general dispersion combined, it was navigable.

The bombers moved into position around the first frigate, and the boarding vessels prepared to make their initial run before docking.

'Boarding vessels!' Morr thought to himself, through all these mediocre weapons and defences the enemy was about to witness the pride of the Toophian army, Hand to Hand combat! "Orl yooz Orks getz yaz redee!" Orks throughout the Morr drew Choppas, rediculously sized, some 16" or more, Orks were getting into a frenzy over the posibility of a faced conflict.

(OOC: Whups, didn't notice. Sorry.)

The bombers surrounding one of the frigates fired in turn, pounding it with shells in an asynchronous fashion.

The boarding vessels flew on all sides of the ships and dropped 'flares' - expensive little packages that emitted all sorts of radiation that would temporarily overload sensors, including optical.

They proceeded to pretargeted locations, clamping to the ships with a screech.

Kpt. L. Thrimman regarded his team with calculating eyes. They would be breaching the bridge, and would be concentrating on the capture of the Toophian bridge crew, and if possible their databases.

The enemy would invariably be waiting, and they had a special cocktail mixed up for them for when they dropped in on the Toophians.

"Alright men, this will be an in-and-out operation. We'll grab the captain and any other officers there then blast the room and get out. Any questions?"

There were none. There never were.

The cutting laser was obvious in effect, the thick metal plates turning red and melting away. Attached to the piece of metal was a bomb resembling a satchel charge - inside was a custom mix of explosives, magnesium and a one-shot hard gamma emitter.

With any luck enough gamma radiation would hit their enemies to make them extremely ill, or at least very nauseous.

The plate fell to the ground and there was a bright flash.

"Takital, shuttaf orll a' loightz!" A brief flicker and then the whole place was plunged into darkness, barely visible, due to the thin Orky darkvision, the Bridge Krew made themselves busy by barricading the doors and entrances.

"Lars' senza reportz tol' us thaz enimee gunna be roynd 'ere!" Grozk was taking a batch of 20 men down the corridor, the dark hallways seemed a little more cramped than normal, as the small squad turned the last corner they were caught out by a brilliant flash of light.

(OOC: In this case it's a deliberate slur.)

Thrimman jumped into the room first, followed by Durand, Klein, Tachikawa and Wasif. Whilst the flare still incapacitated their thermoptic visors, they had switched temporarily to X-ray active scanners.

Thrimman's voice came across the communications circuit. "We've got twenty contacts, in a cluster. Klein, hit them with a Mini-och. Durand, Tachikawa, stun the bridge crew. Wasif, lay suppression fire on the Toopsis."

The german hefted the bazooka-like weapon and, taking a second to steady it, fired a pea-sized antimatter pellet into the floor in front of the orks. The pellet was small enough to disintegrate on contact, and produced an explosion not unlike that of a high-explosive grenade.

Durand and Tachikawa lobbed oxygen gas grenades at the Bridge Krew before using their neurodistrupter pistols.

(OOC: sorry, wasn't paying attention)

The Orcs flew to their backs as the pistols shredded through the non-existent armour, others simply collapsed with the oxygen, one Ork slid down the controls and pushed a small red button on the console before collapsing in a heap.

The Decompression armour slid down and a tray raised up out of the floor, a fantastically sized Ork slid out, he was covered in a thick robotic armour, he had a claw slicing at air and his jaw gaping, his eyes were covered by a screen which let him see through the dark, on his other arm was the most fantastic Slugga, the Ork took one look at the invaders and roared as loudly as was possible, he soon after let rip with the Slugga.

Durand and Wasif were mown down by the slugga before they had a chance to react. The others were put on the run by the walking suit of armour.

Tachikawa and Thrimman dropped the neurodisruptor pistols and unshouldered their combat rifles.

[Weapon Report: R-5 'Abductor' Neurodisrupter pistol. Fires hollow point needles with nanobots designed to disrupt electrical impulses, but maintains essential systems. Uses gas jet firing.]

[Weapon Report: AR-25 'Negotiator' semi-automatic rifle. Fires gold-coated copper slugs with three-barreled rotating gauss system. Runs from suit power. Misnomer - no rifling.]

Of course, there was yet little chance to use them while everyone was scattering to avoid the slugga fire. Even Klein had to discard the cannon and take out a smaller gauss gun.

[Weapon Report: AMG-303 'Antioch' Antimatter Charge Launcher. Uses a rail firing system to launch neutron-wrapped packets of antimatter. Adjustable feeder allows for charge size regulation.]

[Weapon Report: AR-20 'Pacifist' Gauss Rifle. Fires gold-coated copper slugs with gauss system. Twin capacitor banks allows for up to two rounds to be fired in sequence. Runs from suit power. Actually has rifling.]

The scrambling maneuver had but one objective - to force the humongous ork to divert attention from the others.

(OOC: I'll give this a little bump. If no reply, I'll play out the next move tomorrow to keep it moving.)

(OOC: sorry, was violently sick)

The Mecha Ork was showering the room in golden sprays of Sluggs, the random machines and equipment were frequently exploding in a shower of sparks, the Bot moved about trampling on the unconcious bodies of the bridge crew, not caring about the collaterol damage being caused.

Out from his shoulder came a rocket sized grenade launcher which began to pop out little round objects about the small bridge, after a short beeping session they exploded, the Bot raored again in ecstacy at the fire and blood.

OOC: I've just been violently lazy.

General Brithsmoth flew on into the chaos of the battle, and moved his fleet inbetween the Toopian and Hakurabian fleet giving the Orks some defensive cover. "Open fire all Axiel Cannons," His Assimilator TSD moved around, 90 degrese and faced the nearest Enemy ship. His ship then fired it's mini-axiel cannons at it, and three green lights headed towards the ship.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Tie Darts were launched from the Empire's Star Destroyers and proceded on foward to give the allied Toopian fire cover. A chance to consolidate their fleet and either retreat, or to move on forward with the Empire's help.

(OOC: Sorry, didn't check the thread for the last while or so. Looks like we've all got things to be sorry about.)

Klein was spread across the room as an explosive struck him, whilst the other two only caught shrapnel - easily compensated for in the chaos.

A second boarding vehicle clamped on and the surviving prisoners were grabbed in the firefight with far more sturdy mechanical arms that were more or less resistant to the chaotic fire of the Ork.

The two Vac-suited intruders fired at the leg joints, striking the metal with chunks of metal at prodigal speeds.

---Outside---
"Bombers, we've just gotten a Huntarian Contact, the big ships should be more suitable for the main-guns than the little frigate. Hit them hard at full thrusters! There'll be no 'creative' defences waiting for you."

The bombers turned and streaked towards the Huntarian formation at combat impulse, bright white beams of light cutting through the fighters that passed. The formation was lacking the bomber that had been unlucky enough to be nearest to the Huntarian armada and was disintegrated by the cannons.

On the other hand, the Tie Darts were in considerable trouble, given the nature of Phased Array systems. The total lack of a need for a turret meant that the shorter-ranged lasers could be employed against targets of any size - naturally fatal to fighters.

Captain Helfuz hailed Brithsmoth on the communicators.

"Your reputation precedes you, General Brithsmoth. 'Tis a shame you aren't on our side. Rest assured your epitaph shall be a fine one."

The battleships hit the flagship where they could through the formations of ships, but most fire was focussed at one Star Destroyer at a time, in an effort to thin the ranks enough to get a clear shot.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
