The Esenboga International Airport in Ankara was busy, just like everyday in Union of Federated States of Eurasia, one of the newest allies to the Empire. This led to the latest project of the Empire, an extremely secret project called the Heretic Project.
The Heretic Project was an underground project between the Empire and the Union of Federated States of Eurasia, mainly a military one. The goal of the project was more or less to rapidly develop the defensive and offensive capabilities of the Union of Federated States of Eurasia and at an affordable price. The main counterpart was the development of a full integrated and capable radar suite, mainly an anti-stealth system, not unlike the system also in use in the Empire. For this, the main defense contractor for the Empire, Manchurian Global, would be heading the project and funding 20% of the total project, the Union of Federated States of Eurasia picking up the remaining 80%.
The main project team, which consisted of about 60 people, would be coming to Esenboga on this day, the 22nd of March. They were landing in a massive, company owned, 747-400 Jumbo Jet, carrying all sorts of documents and computers and stuff needed and necessary to carry out the project. Esenboga offered a pair of runways 3.75 kilometers long and 60 meters wide, defenitely enough to handle the 747s.
As the 747-400 came down, on final, the tower cleared it to land. The Jumbo came down on the runway and touched down smoothly, coming to a stop at the end of the runway. The tower would simply erase the records and this would never happen.
