[Triesa, McKagan]
The McKagan Imperial Security Agency compound was situated at the mouth of an inlet leading into a small commercial port. It was a simple layout to a structure that housed a great amount of McKagan tactical hardware... yet most people never noticed the fort-like naval structure built so close to a massive bridge that it looked like a utility compound.
In reality the compound functioned as a Special Forces training ground, command center, and in a large war even a naval artillery position. It had a hidden helipad, garage, and submarine pin. Not to mention a set of discreet docks that were hidden by the curving of the bay. It was near the International Airport.
Deep inside the base Major John Driver walked into a briefing room and sat down. He was a veteran of the Torontian operation - move ahead a promotion. He'd went through some post-operation training in regards to more open combat, effectively turning his DART team into a live fire combat team.
"Ok, so I know you're sending us somewhere," he started while talking to the General across the table from him, "I just want to know where."
The General went to speak up. "Kravania. Apparently Cavalt decided that getting Pavelic and putting him on trial will help McKagan more than anything. That, and she hates the fucker." The General laughed.
A few hours later Driver was boarding a Stealth Blimp at Green AFB, south of Triesa. The rest of the DART team boarded, and the Stealth Blimp covertly launched.
Using an electrokinetic drive that had allowed the craft to infiltrate highly guarded enemy airspace multiple times against Kravania - which had effectively lost the war to McKagan militarily and had no AA assets left - ensured nearly 99% effectiveness was to be had.
Several hours later the blimp was nearing the coast of Kravania. This wasn't the objective, however. They were going to drop off closer to the capital city - actually northwest of what was left of it.
Within minutes they were there, the airlock opened, and the six man team plummeted to earth on their HALO jump. Flying through multiple cloud layers on their decline it was a routine jump the veteran team.
After just a few moments they were on the ground in one of the biggest enemy nations of McKagan. They had aimed for a large, open area (of which there would be many - right after a major nuclear attack) and it appeared the jump was accurate. Not that there was much to judge by.
Their next objective was to locate Pavelic. They were moving towards what was left of a highway to try and establish contact with anyone who might have information.
As Driver checked what was forward of the team he had a single thought.
"It's going to be a long ass deployment."
[OOC: I know this isn't a very good post - but I'm tired and just wanted to start the thread so we could get moving. Kravania, you can just post what Pavelic is doing or something - but having someone who knows where Pavelic is establish contact with Driver would be nice for our little plot.]
Kravania

Zagreb, Northern Kravania
Unlike most cities in Kravania, Zagreb was one of the more fortunate ones. Built during the late 1890s and the 1900s during the last years of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, it was a visually stunning city. Built in the style of Paris, with wide streets in the city centre and huge well kept municiple parks. It had the best of what Kravania had to offer in terms of culture and nightlife and was one of the few cities in Kravania that tourists flocked too in huge numbers.
Given this unique heritage in Zagreb, it was also the city that attracted the social elite of Kravanian society. Businessmen, CEOs, stockbrokers, rich socialites, wealthy tax exiles and those individuals who made up the former arsitocracy of the old Austro-Hungarian Empire.
It was also in Zagreb that the course of Kravania's destiny was to change in ways never thought possible.
Cornelius Constantine was one of Kravania's most well known and wealthy real estate tycoons. At 32 years old he could boast a reputation and lifestyle that reeked of success and status. Valued at 2.7 billion USD in liquid assests and over 20 billion USD in non-liquid assets, his influence was immense. Throughout his life he was a brilliant tactician, for he had always avioded trouble and was one of the few people in Kravania who seemed to aviod ever crossing paths with the Fascist regime of Atne Pavelic.
He also used his wealth to bribe most of the government officials and most members of the security services in Zagreb, to the point that they reported to him, even before going to Pavelic. Cornelius knew of everything that transpired in Kravania and everyone who meet him ended up in his debt.
Cornelius was also an aristocrat, his family being of noble blood since the 7th century. Like Cornelius, the House of Constantine was one of master tacticians and opportunists. The House of Constantine rose to power in the historic region of Croatia under the Byzantine Empire. They managed to use their wealth and power to keep what they had and expand it throughtout the Ottoman Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia that was formed from the ashes of the old Empires after World War One in 1919.
During the Second World War, some members of the Constantine Family bought favour with the Ustashe Fascist regime that ruled over the German puppet state known as the 'Independent State of Croatia'.
By 1945, the House of Constantine's connections with the Ustashe regime gave the Yugoslavian Communists, under Joseph Tito, an excuse to curb their power and wealth. The House of Constantine had their land and estates nationalised by the communist regime and their bank accounts in Yugoslavia looted by Tito's regime.
This dark era in the history of the House of Constantine came to a sudden end in 1991. Yugoslavia's communist system collapsed and nationalism and ethnic and racial tensions boiled over into hatred.
This was the year that gave birth to the nation of Kravania, which was made up of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro.
However, Kravania's war of independence was fought by the Kravanian Fascist Party under the leadership of an ex-Yugoslavian Army general, Ion Antonescu. Antonescu died after ruling Kravania for eight years and thus saw the rise of the Chairman of the Fascist Party, Atne Pavelic.
And now here we are, twenty three years after Pavelic became leader and Kravania is now on the verge of collapse.
Unlike Antonescu, who had popular support amongst the Kravanian population for his record of his leadership and military tactics that gave Kravania it's independence in 1991; Pavelic was despised by the Kravanian people for his incompetence, corruption, sadism and his terrible conduct in making Kravania lose a war he started with the Lone Alliance, Willink and McKagan.
Pavelic was blamed, even by his own countrymen, for losing the war and bring the nation to it's knees. Kravanians also have those images fresh in the minds, of the nuclear holocaust Pavelic himself unleashed upon the cities of Varna and Kravania City. Even by the standards of the most deranged and sadistic of dictators, Pavelic became infamous for destroying his own capital city with a nuclear tipped ICBM.
Secretly, Cornelius hated Pavelic and though a patriot himself, the thought of an enemy nation killing Pavelic brought a smile to his face, for in the end, Cornelius reckoned that the biggest enemy and threat to Kravania was Pavelic himself, for he saw Pavelic as both insane and unstable as well as being criminally incompetent.
Now, with Kravania in ruins, most of it's cities destroyed, the economy in near collapse with runaway inflation and unemployment and zero levels of trade and investment with the international community, with the Kravanian Armed Forces in a state of near destruction and zero levels of morale and the shame of Kravania being defeated in battle; Cornelius knew that the Fascist era and the regime of Atne Pavelic were on the way out.
Cornelius was now looking for an opportunity to make his move, do away with Pavelic and for him to step in a save Kravania from it's state of decline and shame.
The McKagan DART's had stopped for a while to rest and/or communicate with MISA. Somewhere along the highway in a creekbed the team sat, discreetly checking the teams email inbox for new orders. Oddly they had a new command.
Driver read it and commented outloud. "We're moving up this highway into the mountains. We're on a search and laser-designate-for-massive-airstrike mission. Maintain covertness... you know the usual. Seems sort of like Torontia to me."
A few hours later the team moved out. Their weapons were all small scale for the most part - easily hidden under the coats that they were wearing over their battlesuits. Kravanian civilians reporting robots walking through their backyards would cause some problems for the mission.

Cornelius was watching the TV in his study, when his mobile phone suddenly rang. What suprised Cornelius was that it was not his main mobile, but the one he had to use when he wanted to avoid being traced or having his calls recorded by the secret police. Attached to the mobile was an encryption device that scrambled the phone to prevent anyone from traingulating the call.
Cornelius picked up the phone, it was Micheal Pasov, a mid ranking member of the Kravanian intelligence services and one of the many government officials in the pay of Cornelius.
Pasov: "Hello Cornelius, it's Pasov. What I am about to tell you is to be known only to you and me, no one else can know of this conversation."
Cornelius: "I understand, go on"
Pasov: "I have come across an intelligence report, one that was supposed to be sent to the Kravanian Presidential Bunker and meant for the Kravanian Military Command and for Pavelic, however I intercepted it and destroyed any trace of the report from our systems. I feel this report is better off in your hands, for it gives you an opportunity to save our nation. With this you can be done with Pavelic and take the Kravanian leadership to help Kravania rise from the mess it's in now. I know you destest Pavelic after his awful conduct during the Lone Alliance War and his incompetence over all aspects of running our country have always got to you. Well now you can put things right."
Pasov: "A group of McKagan Special Forces are already in Kravania, they landed in our nation undetected and are now going north, in parallel to the highway that leads to the Carpathian Mountains. It is obvious what thier target is, they want Pavelic! Whether they intend to kill him or arrest him and fly him back to McKagan, I don't know. However they have come for him. However, and this is where you can come in, the Special Forces have no idea where the exact location of the Presidential Bunker is. If I were you, I'd tell them that"
Cornelius: "Thanks you for that, I'll get right to it. Before I go, I'd like to thank you for that. I mean your risking your own life, and knowing the sadism of Pavelic, the lives of your family, by doing this. Although you do owe me some favours, I am suprised you did this, I would have never expected you to go this far. After Pavelic is gone, your promotion will be one of my first acts upon my assumption to power. Once again, thank you for this, I'll never forget it."
Pasov: "I just want to see Pavelic gone! I am sending an encrypted e-mail to you on all the details. Good Luck!"

No doubt you know of me. I would be suprised if your intelligence services failed to hold a file on me, along with your files of other Kravanian's of importance.
However, I have been tipped of about McKagan sending in a Special Forces team into Kravania, with the alleged objective to kill or arrest Pavelic.
I only hope this tip I got is correct.
For my part, I'll give you the exact location of Pavelic's bunker.
Central Region of the Carpathian Mountain Range.
Latitude 66/Longitude42
489 miles north of the former capital, Kravania City.
37 miles directly north of the small farming town of Lubeck.
The entrance is small and unmarked, only an iron blast proof door. The entrance is located in a ditch between two hills on the southern plains of Mount Vladimir.
Security is tight and the bunker bomb proof.
I don't know what to suggest, but I'm sure your military commanders will know what to do.

I have heard of you. The MCID keeps only a small file on you, however. People inside Kravania have generally been hard to learn about given the massive security net your "President" has.
I'm shocked someone in Kravania has the guts to speak up and give away their Presidents location. That said, I suspect that the ICBM attack has just about destroyed Pavelics ability to keep his political enemies down.
The information is currently being taken advantage of by the McKagan Imperial Defense Department. Please be aware that any amount of ordnance is on the table for attacking Pavelic. The biggest question that the defense planners are asking me is if there are multiple ways in and out of this layer - and if you might know of any escape route or secondary base Pavelic would leave to if his current hideout is attacked?

Well for Pavelic, it's a catch 22.
Had he not gone insane and ended up killing more Kravanians than the enemy nations did during the war, he could leave his base and escape to a transport, however, should he venture outside, the entire nation of Kravania, all 766 million of them, would be after him.
If he stays in his base, he thinks he is safe, as long as he does not suspect that his location has been made aware of by your nation.
My informant destroyed the reports of your special forces in Kravania, thus Pavelic is ignorant of what is going on.
I urge your special forces not to engage in combat with the bunker for they are out numbered and Pavelic has his base protected by fanatical loyalist from the SSF and his own private militia.
Just use your team to locate it and bomb it with whatever you feel is needed.
Then again, I already gave you the co-ordinates. They should be OK for you if you strike him with a bunker penetrating nuclear weapon.
Pavelic's base, being secret, is far aways from any civilian locations or urban areas, thus using a nuclear weapon would not bring about the deaths of any innocents.

I've been informed that the current line of thinking within the MIDD is that we'll drop a tactical nuclear bunker buster on the mountain. However - it will be small enough to not destroy the mountain or bunker - but to force Pavelic to leave. Shortly after the attack is launched we'll paradrop a group of McKagan soldiers into the region to check the remains and verify Pavelic. He'll either be killed or forced to run. We're pretty sure he'll have to run. Once he runs he's going right into the arms of the McKagan military to be brought to justice.

I wish you luck!
Please dispose of him fast.
However, Pavelic base can be destroyed by a nulclear warhead in excess of 275 Kilotons. This would deal with him fast and ensure success. Should you try and flush him out and try to arrest him, he has the chance to espcape, I know he won't die fighting, he is too much of a coward for that.
But it's your call, I'm just offering some friendly advice.
[Off The Coast of Kravania]
A McKagan Contraband Class SSBN bobbed up and down just under the surface of the water. Usually in a combat operation they wouldn't be this far up. However, Kravania no longer had a military - the sub wasn't under any threat.
Suddenly the submarine came to life. A massive missile shot out of it and poked through the surface of the ocean. Climbing upward into the atmosphere it would be at its destination in just a short time.
The warhead was, however, much smaller than the 275 kiloton number that had been given. McKagan had a goal. It was to put Pavelic on trial and make him a figurehead of how NOT to fuck with McKagan. To keep the base from being totally destroyed the warhead was only 150KT's.
At the same time the missile launched a force of nearly 500 Marines aboard the Dreadnaught Estranged prepared for launch in helicopters and various other modes of transportation.
Satellites zoomed in on the mountain - and would watch anything LEAVING before the mushroom cloud cleared and troops were on the ground.

(OOC)
You can RP the nuclear attack.
Pavelic will not know of the attack until the blast happens.
[Pavelic's Presidential Bunker, Kravania]
The mountains sat in the morning sunlight in a vast, clear expanse. Everything was calm. No one could tell what was about to happen - not that anyone was there anyway. A few birds moved about in a field.
Suddenly - it was all gone.
The mountain exploded in a fireball of nuclear devastation. The mushroom cloud of the McKagan missile slowly began to rise into the morning sky - soon blocking out the sun from some angles just around what was left of the base of the mountain.
However because of the smaller size of the warhead the bunker wasn't destroyed. It was critically damaged, though. Within hours there was a good chance that it would fall in on itself.
Before the mushroom cloud finished rising the distant sound of helicopter blades cutting through the air could be heard. Some 40 helicopters based off of the dreadnaught moved in - carrying 500 troops. The began to deploy around the mountain in their heavy NBC gear. Pavelic would be exposed to radiation if he came out - but he'd only be there for a short while before the Marines got him away.
Attack helicopters moved through the air along with Special Forces Transport Helicopters full of fast reaction forces to stop Pavelics escape attempt - should he have survived.

Presidential Bunker, Carpathian Mountains, Northern Kravania
Pavelic jumped from his chair, his face turned a ghostly white, as he heard the huge bang that echoed through his bunker after the McKagan missile hit.
Panic ensued for the next 30 minutes, then after that, reports came back to Pavelic informing him of the damage, of the McKagan Special Forces on the ground surface.
The reports also detailed the destruction, by the blast, of Pavelic's limo and his private helicopter, both parked about 10 km away from the base and for the purpose of him escaping the base, should he need too.
In other words, with the McKagan Special Forces outside and his escape transports destroyed, he could either surrender or shoot himself.
Suicide was never something that Pavelic really contemplated, thus he opted for surrender.
Pavelic went to shower, changed into his military uniform and drenched himself in aftershave, for he felt that after losing all respect by other nations and of the Kravanian people themselves, he could at least look smart and presentable for his arrest and not be caught in total shame and disgrace. It was a pathetic attempt at trying to claw back some sense of dignity that Pavelic lost many years ago.
After that, Pavelic, all leading members of the Fascist Party, the government and all Pavelic loyalists went through the escape tunnel and went into the small metro system which would take them out of the bunker, pass the escape point, to another terminal about 40 miles away from the bunker.
Upon arriving there, they went out into the open and one of Pavelic's officials put out a signal to the McKagan Special Forces, notifying them of their desire to surrender and to aviod and hostile actions.
Upon tracking Pavelic's escape using the vast number of satellites above the nation discovered that Pavelic was moving away from the bunker there was a sort of panic. The Special Helicopter Platoon that was still moving around the air - below the dawn of the towering mushroom cloud, quickly shifted towards what was being called the "surrender zone."
The eight KHaU-12 Attack Helicopters of the unit were the first to arrive on the station. They swept over the surrendering Fascist Party of Kravania. Using thermal imaging sensors they looked around for any signs of an enemy trying to breach security. This hypothetical enemy would be quickly engaged - not that he would get close to the surrendering people without running through a hail of 30mm machine gun fire.
The slower ATV-12 Transports arrived on station just a bit later. Several passed over the fascists to set up a peremeter on all sides of the zone before the DART's finally moved in and took them down.
Nearly 100 soldiers fanned out through the area. Securing high points to ensure snipers didn't get a shot at anyone and making sure low points didn't offer channels into the zone - the area was quickly locked down.
With the threat of outside problems effectively stopped the Special Forces moved in. Arresting and restraining Pavelic first they moved throughout the crowd of people. Searching each of them for explosives and doing a quick WMD check they were eventually cleared for air travel.
They were moved into a series of AVT-12 Transports that quickly lifted off the ground. After a few moments of holding the landing zone the remaining troops moved into transports and were airlifted away from the area.
While all of this was going on, back at the bunker a group of DART's were moving into the compound to gather intelligence and other resources before the bunker fell in on itself. Anything was hauled out and placed in transports. Computers, VCR's, disks of all shapes and sizes. Almost any personal effects of the one-time-dictator would be hauled away and used against any remaining Kravanian Fascist Party members.
What McKagan was worried about at this time was a terrorist organization forming to take shots at McKagan interests. Due to the intelligence being gathered, however, it would be very difficult for such an organization to form.
Turning to look upward Major Driver looked at the massive mushroom cloud that was beginning to fall apart above him. It was still a glowing red and very intimidating. It reflected off the visor of his full-body battlesuit.
"Well... we're done here," Colonel Prate, the Commander of the Marine Anti-Terror unit said to Driver. "We're getting the fuck out of here before the radiation begins to settle back down on top of us. I know these suits are good - I'm just paranoid. It's over. We got him. Now lets go home."
With that said the DART Team filed into a UH-75 Helicopter and left the area. Regardless of what the future held for all of them the DART team knew one thing at this moment. All that was immediately left of the Kravanian Fascist Party was either facing justice in McKagan or dead someone in a massive mushroom cloud. McKagan had won this war.
After all of these transports landed on the Estranged it moved away from Kravania. Soon many McKagan vessels in the area were rerouted to the vessel to ensure massive operational security on its trip back to Triesa.
