Val Dania

Whenever a war between two Val Danian villages would end, the elder priests of each village would meet at a neutral location and perform a ritual to signify the peace. One was about to be performed, but it would be no ordinary ritual. It would signify the end of what was hopefully the last conflict between Val Danian villages. Thus, every elder priest in Val Dania traveled to the Sacarde Gorun Temple to perform the ritual, politically and spiritually unifying the people.
The Sacarde Gorun used a circular stone structure as its foundation for construction, wooden panels and a thatched roof added on to the holy circle of the cultists that died out so long ago. Inside, pairs of elder priests would meet at the center to perform the ritual individually until every elder priest had performed the ritual with every other elder priest. Normally, the ritual would take a day. With twenty-seven elder priests, the ritual took a little over a year.
The ritual was nearing completion, and it seemed as though the intended effect was already taking form. Trade between the villages was increasing, productivity was at an all time high, and the people were beginning to take on a singular unified culture.
After it was completed, runners went out beyond the borders of Val Dania while the larger shipping vessels went out with foodstuffs to trade overseas. The elder priests knew that although they would maintain tradition, they could not afford to let the world pass them by.
