Horus read the magazine as his plane made its final approaches to the Taralkean airport. Horus could not help but wonder what the young princess looked like as he read the newspaper. His Progressive Party was leading the polls, however he knew that it was young in the election. the plane landed with a slight jolt that rocked Horus' soul. he hated landings. The young king stepped out of the plane, toting his own luggage, a single black bag with a discreet Hornando seal on the front. Waiting for him out the door was a black limosine bearing the red, green and black flag of the Taralkean Empire. Horus nervously stepped into the back, unsure of what was in the seat.

Nicholas packed his things up and proceeded to the airport. He said goodbye to his friends and family who wished him well and went off in the plane. He read one of the pamphlets and so on the plane had as they flew to Taralkea. When they landed, Nicholas came outside and found a limo with the ensign of the Princess' country on it. He went to it, thinking it would take him to where he was supposed to be at.

A black limo apeared at the gates, and Tira went out to meet it, her red hair blowing in the wind, the door opened and Tira looked at the man with her green eyes. "Hello, have you found this place to your liking"?

Leo smiled when he found out that Tira had decided to accept his suit. Packing his bags, he headed down to the airport to catch a flight to Taralkea. During the initial preparation and take off, he composed a thank you letter.

The plane landed and Jaeger darted off into a waiting limousine on it's way to where ever Tira was. He hadn't had enough time to ask questions, all he knew of her was what he read in the letter.

There was a young man waiting in the hallway. "Oh, said Tira, this is my older brother, Tesk". "Hello gentelman, he said, may I speak to you privately for a moment"?

"I'll leave". said Tira. When Tira had left Tesk started talking, "Okay, you two can do whatever you want to win my sister, but the first one to hurt her, he pulled out a curved sawed edge dagger, will get his entrails fed to a Dragon, then he smiled, but if you don't, me and you are freinds". He held out both hands, one to each of them.

"Ah, you have nothing to worry about. I will only treat your sister with the highest of respect. Your concern shows me what a kind and caring person you are," Jaeger said as he shook the mans hand.

James smiled "amazeing" he said silently "reminds me of the water beasts that guard the waters beneath the cities of my father's empire" he looked at the dragon but could not help but admire the princess.

"This is the oldest one we have, apparently he is over 500". She looked at him staring at her and smiled.

James smiled "is he realy that old?" he asked "sorry for stareing" he said silently.

"Oh yes she said, she guessed what he was thinking, stare on, I don't mind".

James grined "ok" he said with a laugh. hee tried not to stare to much even thow he was told he could.

"Do you want to help plan the party"? She asked.

"Why thank you". She said, she gave a whistle and a horde of Dragons flew down, "Wich ones should we display"? She asked.

James smiled and thought 'haha i was just picking randomly' he then said "i have good tastes in dragons?" he grined "who would guess that?" he laughed

James smiled at the hug and blushed a bit. no one ever gave him a hug before then alone a girl giving him a hug "your welcome" he says with a shy voice.

James smiled "swiming? sure sounds like fun" he said silently

"Okay, she said, I'll go change, and I'll have someone show you to your room". She ringed a small bell and an aid showed up. "Show James to his room so he can change".

James smiled and followed the aid and asked the aid. "my father told me nothing about the princess i got a few questions. first off how old is she? secondly what is her name again?" he asked silently so only the aid could hear.

"She is 23, and her name is Tira". Answred the aid. "Here is your room". She said opening a door.

James smiled and headed for the door 'that went well' he thought to himself

James looked at her "food would be nice. got any fish and rice?"

When they got there Tira rang that little bell again, a new aid showed up and Tira said, "Get James some fish and rice, and I think I will have rice to, except with crab". "Yes your highness". said the aid. "So, asked Tira, do you like what you see in Taralkea"?

James smiled "most definatly. the surounding are wonderful and the beauty of one person is breath taking" he smiled and waited for her to sit down. he was told that a lady always sits before a guy may sit.

James smiled "the food smells great" he said as he looked at her.

They left and got to a door. There was an aid standing by the door. "How is he"? Asked Tira. "Not good, answred the aid, I think it's getting worse". "Can we visit him"? "Yes, but take it easy". They went in and there was a man of about 50 sitting on a bed. "Father, said Tira, this is is James".

James saluted "good Day sir" he said with a smile

The old man looked at him, "Hello, he said cheerfully, why are you here"?

James smiled "i should let your daughter explain why i'm here" he said politely

"Daddy, Tira said, he wants to be my husband". The mans reaction was unexpected, "Get out! he yelled, get out! Life stole my wife from me, but you won't steal my daughter"! The old man broke down and wept. Tira sighed, "Lets go". She said.

James turned to leave but then smiled "sir I respectfully ask for your permission. my people are people of honour and I must follow that honour and get your permission before I can ask" he then turned and heade out the door. he looked at the princess and smiles.

"I'm sorry you had to see that". said Tira, "He's been like that ever since mother died".

James smiled "no need for sorry miss" he said with a smile "i understand where he is coming from"

"Thank you, well, would you like to take a walk"?

James smiled "yes a walk would be fun. espicialy a walk with a beautiful girl such as yourself" he looks away shyly

She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Yes, lets go on a walk".

James walked with her silently and thought about what he was there for.

James smiled "most difenatly" he looked at her "it would be an honour if i won"

She smiled at him, then frowned, "For what reasons"? She asked.

James smiled "many reasons. some political but most of the heart. the resons from the heart would be what made me say yes to that question" he looked at her with a smile.

She smiled, "Then I think you just might win". She said.

James smiled "you do?"

"Yes, said Tira, yes I do, and to prove my point". And she leaned over and kissed him full on the mouth.

James blushed a deep shade of red at the kiss and whispered after "wow that was nice. and it prooved your point"

She smiled at him and said "Well, I better make preperations for the party". And walked to her chambers.

James headed for his room and when he got into his room he got into a Daileyian Dress uniform. it was a white and blue uniform with gold trim and military badges on the front left side of the top of the uniform and a Daileyian Military Ensignia on the left solder. he put on a wight cap with the same ensignia on the front of it.

With the party all planned, she told Kayle to set it up, and went to James room and knocked.

James came out in full uniform and Smiled "well how do i look?" he said with a laugh "you ready for this party?"

"You look great, she said, the party won't start for a bit though, should I send an invite to the nations of the world"?

James smiled "that is up to you milady" he grined "i personaly find it's a good idea"

"Thank you". She smiled.

James smiled "ummm how about what do you think about living on man made islands in the middle of the atlantic?" he was talking about the Daileyian empire.

James smiled "the Nation was made a long time ago by the desendents of the last Alantis civilians" he grined "no we live a bit further south near the equater so it's nice and warm year round"
