A new disease has sprung up in the Commonalitarianism. We do not know its origin. It is either alien or a genetically modified disease gone out of control. We also believe it may be a product of a genetic engineering virus escaped from a foreign laboratory.

The VODAIS virus has spread in many areas of the Commonalitarianism. We also believe that many of the carriers have escaped to the outside world. This virus rewrites the genetic code of the carriers. These people are no longer human. We have had to hunt down and kill many of the carriers.

We have a way of stopping the disease partially. It stops the alteration process short, but does not completely cure the disease. Many of these people are still altered into something not quite human. They realize their difference and maintain most of their humanity.

A picture of a very gaunt man appears with sharply defined musculature. He is drinking a cup of coffee. He is stooped deeply forward. His eyes appear very focused, the pupil is slightly larger than normal. Much of his hair has fallen out and his ears have become slightly elongated. This is a picture of a partially converted person. He stops and waves at the camera. Then he tosses his coffee cup into the garbage. The camera can barely pick up the motion.

The disease changes the central nervous system of the carrier. Metabolism is increased to ten times normal. There is a constant need for food. With this increased metabolism comes increased speed, strength, and reflexes. Senses are heightened to the extreme touch, smell, eyesight are five times as effective as normal. With this comes hypersensitivity to sound and other senses. They give off a pheromone which causes strong sexual arousal as well as have identifying scent markers. They will attempt to convert those who are not carriers and kill those who resist. Their intelligence while still intact is focused in a very feral survival mode. The virus is driving them to get more hosts. They are armed and dangerous. There are rumors that the virus further changes children born from parents with virus.

We have had to reroute a large portion of our military budget to defeating this threat. 8% of our national budget. We believe the virus is partially under control. Our police force has grown considerably-- tripled. We are producing genetically engineered dogs-- Scoobies to help support our new hunter killer teams. A picture of several men in body armor with built in gas masks with expermental exoskeletons, heavy weapons, and what looks like a giant black german shepherd are standing next to an armored police cruiser.

A switch occurs. An orbital strike has occurred against one of our own cities, Maxwell arcology. We had to destroy the city completely. Most of our citizens had been converted. Four million people just died in a flash of fire as four 300 lb solid tungsten missiles drop from orbit each hitting with the impact of a 2 megaton nuke. We believe that some of the changed may have escaped. We need help with this menace.

Pythogria is willing to help with our genetic engineering division. We may spread a "cure" virus around. Sound good?

The Aequatian Republic would be willing to provide the 1st Marine Special Operations Combat Detachment (MARSOCOM-D) to aid in the destruction of those that are infected by this horrible disease. Support elements would include aviation and armoured assets for mobilization.

Mondoth has recently had a small outbreak of the VODAIS disease, caused by the Naveirna separtists, With much effort we were eventually able to develope a retro-virus that fully cures the disease's tranformations and immunizes both cured and unaffected people. Unfortunately, the retro-virus is not a self-spreading cure and will have to be delivered on an individual basis. We would be willing to provide genetic code for the cure virus and would be willing to work with you to distribute the cure and work towards creating a self spreading strain.

If you send that to us, we may be able to make an airborne, contagious version.

The Republic of Romanar is willing to provide assistance in containing the infected, or neutralizing them, if neccesary.

We will gladly accept aid in the form of manpower or medicines to help stop the spread of this epidemic. We would prefer you capture and not kill them, but if it is unavoidable kill them. We believe the virus may have spread to the mainland by now.

The virus affects the mental capacity of the infected it makes them want to spread the virus as well as protect themselves from being cleansed of the virus. They are very dangerous. It is suggested that you be heavily armed in dealing with them. Wear gas masks to protect yourself from the sexual pheromones they release, carrry heavy weapons, wear body armor. It takes elephant tranquilizers to knock them out. They are susceptibles to sense attacking weapons like pepper spray, sonics, and flash grenades because of their heightened sense.

We have a partial cure. Many of the cured said they preferred being infected because of the heightened physical abilities and senses. Some of the noncured have been found living a simple early twentieth century life hunting game, growing gardens, and living in log cabins. They have not lost their mental capacities as human beings. We have filmed them taking down deer and other large game without weapons. They still look mostly human. We have found a baby that is uncurable, it walks on all fours most of the time, but will stand occassionally and has fully functioning hands and predatory teeth.

We are systematically searching our islands and domes to find them. We have released a retrovirus into the air which will stop further infections in many cases. However, the virus may mutate to deal with this.

We are in the process of attacking a small island where there is a laboratory of some kind. We do not think it is the source of the virus, but it may give us some leads.

Trinitron Tower have also recieved the problem that is plaguing your nation.

However, drastic steps have been taken to prevent any further outbreak within our borders.

We are currently separting those that have been infected from the rest of the main polulation. We are currently researching the virus, and providing relief to those nations that have this problem occuring within their borders that is beyond their abilities to deal with such an outbreak.

We would prefer that you not bomb our floating cities. We will provide a comatic gas agent for bombing the islands in our country. This will allow ground troops to enter them with less reprisal. This may only slow them down. A bombing run followed by entry of troops would be the preferred method of taking out the gatherings of the infected.

This informantion, although useful on what the virus orgins are, we will still take advange of what the virus has to offer, and our prior decsion to use them for miltary use against you for inflicting this outbreak on Trinitron Tower still stands.

If any of these carriers or potenal carriers are found to be from nation of Commonalitarianism, where the virus first devolped, we will deport them back to that nation, with a IOU for that nation to repay us back for the damages done by this virus.

"What is the bastard up to now?" said a middled-aged man, who was standing in the rain soaked city streets of downtown Towers City.

Hearing the commander speak such words made his heart sink.

The actions of Commander V.I. Cious didn't surprised him.

During his miltary career, he started out as an officer and an agent, he served directly under the Commander during his entire enlistment.

He couldn't figure out why, either. He went to officer's school, but wasn't the top of of his class. Right after gradution, he was order to a special combat unit training, called Elite Force.

Elite Force was for the best die hards in the miltary, and they were all volunteer-based units, usually serving under direct command of Commander V.I. Cious. He passed the training, and was reward a direct guard post in his office.

The Commander was mischievous, fun but a ruthless, secretive, schemeing hell-raiser by nature.

The Commander was always up to something.

The man usually knew what the Commander was doing.

He was trying to cause some mayham within the two nations.

And then hell would happen.

He usually knew what the commander was saying.

Usually they were half-lies told to cause chaos.

And then some more hell was raised.

After serving the Commander for a number of years, he couldn't handle it anymore.

He couldn't handle orders that involed dragging off someone just because they were protesting for democray. He couldn't handle the thoughts of families ruined just because they didn't agree with the way the political system was handled.

He couldn't bear the memories of being ordered to haul his wife away because she didn't agree with the goverment's policy on streaking.

His kids couldn't handle him moving them around so much.

He couldn't handle the burdern of coming home one day seeing them killed because of his career.

He couldn't handle another war, either. Seen too much the last time over the Union Riots, which plunged the nation into civil war.

He usually knew what the Command was doing.
He usually knew what the Command was saying.

However, what he was doing and saying, meant a whole much more.

At first we tried to control this virus through humanitarian means without labor camps, but it went out of control. Many of our cities are now burning. Three pictures of floating cities with 4 million inhabitants each with cracked domes. Pan to the one of the cities You can see fire and smoke from the cracks on the dome. A cloud of gas seems to hang around the city. There are numerous small fast attack craft patrolling the outer waters. Helicopters swarm over the cities. There are burning gun towers where the railgun and missile emplacements used to be. Bodies are floating in the waves. A downed helicopter is burning on top of one of the domes.

Teams of heavily armed and armored men and women are pouring into the domes. Following them are crowds of huge black dogs yelping and baring their fangs. Our conscripted services are on full alert. All men and women between the ages of 18 and 60 have been called to full active duty. Our police service is conscripting more people to serve in the hunter teams who will bring in the "infected". The crack of machine gun and automatic shotgun fire and the explosion of grenades can be heard. The reporter is wearing body armor and holding a helmet with a gas mask in one hand and a microphone in the other.

There are lines of chained, hooded men and women being marched to small ships. They are led onto the vessels. They head out to sea. One of the ships reports being taken. Several helicopters fly out to sea. You watch as the ship is blown into small bits. All of the ships have escorts. You think you see the wake of a submarine.

Pan to a small isolated island with prefabricated structures deep in the pacific where there is no chance of leaving. It is lightly wooded with a small area of jungle and no caves. We have several of these places where they will live until a cure is found. Food is airdropped to the island. There are ships patrolling around the island. Men and women are being led off the ships to simple but sturdy prefabricated buildings. There are heavy escorts. A wall is in place between the island and the main landing area. There is food shelter clothing and basic amenities.

To Otagia: We are willing to supply some blood samples if you are willing to help us cure this disease. We also would like support to deal with this problem.

OOC: The novel is Clay's Ark the first part of the Patternmaster series by Octavia Butler. In the novel the characters constantly try to procreate and infect people.

I'd say use Chlorine gas, it's cheap and effective, and with super metabolism sysems, they die as soon as they take a whiff.

OOC: I am looking for a way to end my nation within a few days because of not able to be on for weeks on end.

My idea is have some random guy in my nation become a hero real quick, and have the current commander banished, while at the same time, ending my nation's existence.

We are ready to receive aid from Mondoth and Pythogria. Please send troops now. We have had to seal off and are fighting our way into many of the hospitals. We have had to use comatic gas on them. The hospitals were hit the hardest. The epidemic spread very quickly throughout the hospitals without containment the nurses and doctors spread the virus to the patients very quickly. We are worried that there may be mutations occurring inside these health centers. The virus may interact with other diseases and create new strains.

The situation has become dire. Already more than 6 million people haved died. We are not sure of the exact number infected.

To Trinitron Towers: We have designated several very isolated islands in the Pacific with small buildings, farms, livestock, and game where these people can be put until a cure is found. We will be airdropping basic supplies to them. The islands are cordoned off. We do not suggest that you attempt to transport large numbers of them together, they are capable of overpowering a standard crew on a naval vessel quickly. You may want to escort them with an aircraft carrier in case you lose control of any of the boats.

Note: Most of our nations consists of oceanic fuller domed cities-- about 4 million inhabitants per dome. These are heavily landscaped inside have parks, botanical gardens, waterways, bicycle paths, and have lots of ecotechnic technology-- heavy recycling of materials and natural waste management systems-- bioshelters, etc. Think of a gigantic garden city with advanced materials science, bioplastics, gardening, and organic horticulture (MT with some PMT) There are also several islands with a similar setting. This is the setting where troops would be entering. There would be fires, smoking buildings, booby traps, etc. Currently four of the domes are in a state of full emergency with waves of troops being sent in. One has been destroyed with 4-- 300 lb solid tungsten rockets fired from orbit the equivalent of an 8 megaton non-nuclear blast. There is a general state of emergency with some fighting occurring in 6 other domes. They have not been overpowered. Our capital is under lockdown.

OOC: In the book which this virus is based on Clay's Ark by Octavia Butler humanity loses. Octavia Butler died recently and this is partly a tribute to her writing which is fantastic.

Pythogria will send 500 tanks and 10,000 men. Good luck. Our anti-virus is almost complete. As soon as it is completed, expect us to bomb all affected areas with it.

When you first enter the harbor of Happy Apple Blue Feather Arcology it is dead quiet. There is no more smoke coming from the top of the arcology. You can still see cracks in the dome. All of the dome lights are off. There are a few boats in the harbor, most of which have been burned to prevent the "infected from leaving." Also the submersible bays are completely destroyed.

As you land and enter the city at first there is no resistance. You can see bullet holes, blasted out buildings and rubble covering the streets. When you get to the more heavily barricaded areas they attack.

Then you hear it a deafening roar as a hundred thousand recently infected start pouring towards you. Men, women and children as young as twelve. They are armed with with shock sticks, long pieces of glass as strong as steel and as sharp as glass from the solar panels on the domes, molotov cocktails, handgrenades, left over bits of armor, and they are hungry. At this stage the only thing going through their mind is infect or kill. They run at you at incredible speed 20-30 mph tossing 5000 grenades and 5,000 molotov cocktails as they approach.

Behind them in the rubble, another 200,000 start opening up with everything imaginable handguns, guns, shotguns anything which they could get at which fires a bullet, or throws an explosive. You can hear the sound of a few tanks in the background. They are waiting.

We are sealing off the arcologies right now. There is a cordon around them with mostly fast attack ships. There are also some helicopter carriers, fast attack catamaran 120 meter gunboats, and submarines. We have sealed off the arcologies. However, they have access to the internal aquaculture farms and multistory integrated organic farms. This should supply a decent amount of food for them. With their increased metabolism 10x normal , they will end up fighting among themselves for the food supply. They also will have access to the light manufacturing facilities and could possibly make light arms and gas masks. This will be a problem. I imagine the arcologies will slowly turn into heavily armed mined facilities.

The screaming 100,000 infected descend upon your troops backed by the Commonalitarianism troops. They are taking heavy fire from the tanks and machine gun fire. You watch as many of them are torn to ribbons, but they keep coming, some even try to crawl towards you with their legs blown off. Some have pieces torn out of them from weapons fire. They will not stop until they are dead. The grenade impacts and the molotov cocktails from the volley that was thrown should create fires on many of the tanks and kill a decent number of soldiers if they aren't wearing body armor. I am guessing about 500 of my soldiers have been cremated or blown to bits. About 2000 exoskeleton armored troops have died from the incoming fire.

About 30,000 of the infected have been killed. They are in very close range almost another 20 feet and they will be in hand to hand range. The genetically engineered dogs are released against them 5000 of them. They are berserk from the inhuman smell. It is driving the dogs into a killing frenzy.

Then a second wave occurs the 160,000 armed "infected" in the second wave attempt to move past the soldiers to the boats. They run at full speed firing attempting to push through past the artillery. 40,000 have been affected by the comatic gas previously.

The artillery fires gas at close range into the mass of infected and solders. The soldiers have gas masks. 20,000 of the remaining infected go down leaving the soldiers with greater numbers. The soldiers blow the remaning infected to bits but not before 10,000 more die in close combat. The overwhelming firepower from the incoming mass of second stage infected tears many of them to bits. The second stage have their own minds but an urge to travel and spread the disease.

40,000 more troops pour into the harbor. This time they are backed by new sense based weapons. 10,000 of the troops are in orange prison brigade armor, people who volunteered to have their nonviolent sentences commuted. You can hear the booming of an intense electronic beat which shakes you to your bones almost breaking your ear drums. Artillery opens up firing cluster munition flash bangs, and chemical irritants. You can hear thrashing in the peers where some of the "infected" planned to ambush and board some of the offloading ships. The noise is overwhelming them.

The intense sound causes most of the front line of the infected to fall on the ground writhing in pain covering their eyes and tearing at themselves. They get off a single salvo before they are incapacitated. Their enhanced senses become a liability. The combined firepower of the Pythogrian and the new troops rips the front line of the infected to shreds. The ones in the rear are in retreat back into the arcology. Bodies dissolve under the firepower against them.

The order comes to move forward. We need to get the weapons and fallen troops before they are carried off. We can help those who have been infected within the last 3-4 hours but not more. We will need to collect the bodies of the infected that are in a coma because of the comatic gas. The Mechazawa would be ideal for this. They cannot be infected from handling the bodies.

A request is sent out to bomb The Isle of Beertopia an ecological theme park which was overrun. Most of it is wooded and jungled so it would be incredibly hard to take back.

A red alert is sent out. Apparently, the Beertopian infected have built ten small fast stealth boats and taken out two of the patrolling fast attack craft. They need to be intercepted before they reach the mainland.

Ming Commercial House, RFS-- Registered Family Syndicate has begun a "boot camp" rehabilitation program to turn our nonviolent offenders into soldiers. Up ahead you can see the outline of the main city. You are in the remnants of the military grange. It is clear they have heavy weapons of some kind but are not using them yet. There are barricades ahead, with earthen walls the walls have shards of glass, big metal spikes and barbed wire. There are small mounds of earth. Your explosives experts tell you these look like improvised explosive devices. There is a single main road that is open. The infected are heading down this road. They have several of the tanks and a couple of the artillery trucks from the last battle. It looks like it would be a killing zone if you ran down it. A military engineer suggests we might want to blast our way through to another road. Some of the tops of the buildings have small walls built on top of brick and other material. It is dark. You can see patches of light in the darkness. You are not sure what they are.

Troops sent off to retrieve the soldiers on the third floor were walking up the stairs, blasting infcted, when they found them. "Are you OK?" a soldier asked.

ANTI-VIRUS DEADLINE:ONE MONTH

As you head down the stairs you meet fire from a mix of machine guns and shotgun fire. There is a decent amount of fire coming in. Not enough to stop you. Some people should die as you head downstairs.

You come to an open area. You are being fired at from all sides. They have sealed in the building from all sides. The building looks like a reinforced fortress with 1 foot thick blast proof doors. There are scorch marks from rockets, and explosives where they have attempted to blow holes in the building and the doors. "We are fine in here. We will run out of food in about a week. We have been able to hold them off. We can't go outside. There are eighty of us in here. There must be about 500 of them outside right now. They want the arms in the building. Most of the other buildings around it are totalled with rubble strewn around the streets.


The bombs turn the island into a flattened crater. You suspect there may be one or two boats somewhere, but you are not sure.

Pythogria: A story unfolds about what happened here. At first life was normal. Then people started here rumors about people looking strange and different in some of the poorer neighborhoods. The hospitals started to fill up. Then the people in the hospitals started to change. The police were called in to investigate, but they simply disappeared. Then the infected started flowing out of the hospitals. The smell was overwhelming, people ran to them willingly becoming infected and spreading the disease. It spread like wildfire. By the time soldiers could be mobilized most of the population in the dome was infected. The military people who had access to gas masks fought back. But there were simply too many of them. The dome was overrun. Some people committed suicide rather than succumb to the disease. Many died because their bodies could not take the change.

Some had a strong enough will to resist spreading the disease. You can see these people shackled as branded slaves in the lighted areas where they plant crops and raise livestock for the every hungry infected. If you look at the land you will see every available inch of plantable land is turned into gardens for crops.

Note: This would be a good time for Otagia and Aequatio to enter. We are about to enter the main city. There will be house to house heavy fighting.

Rlothen, Mondoth-- Please turn the Island of Beertopia into a heavy bomber run. We need to soften it up. We are planning to send both "forced labor" soldier prisoner battalions from our country, and excess prisoner battalions from other countries who have offered to let us have their prisoners in exchange we make them take military service, along with regular soldier battalions to retake the island soon.

The letter basically stated that he would no longer be in charge of the operation, they were sending in the one of the "big guns," the Brigadier General Soichiro, nicknamed "The Revolver."
"Damn! There sending in one of the legendary seven, they must have deeper plans than just helping out here..."

But what they had in mind was unkown to him and he had until the next morning and the arrival of Soichiro to figure it out...

We will bust open the top of the dome with a railgun strike. The strike starts now. You hear a tremendous blast. The top of the dome buckles inward you luckily are not in the center. Pieces start falling inward. You can see gas missiles start pouring into the dome. It is no longer a dome but a wide open area. Light is pouring in.

The artillery starts pounding with flash bang scatter munitions. It looks like continuous flashes pouring across the landscape. This is followed by rocket and missile fire. You can hear the bass music blasting away in the background. Tanks and armored bulldozers start moving forward plowing into the buildings clearing a path into the dome. Some of them explode from ieds.

You are met with rocket fire, mortar fire, and rpg fire at the tanks and bulldozers. Some explode but most keep going heading for the main road. The heavy armor of the new tanks shrugs off most of the rounds. Some get hit by railgun and tank fire exploding. The road in is clear.

A Pythogrian deployment plane flew in with 18 of the new XM-1 Pythogrian tank. They rolled forward, sighted an enemy, and fired their ETCs, followed by .50 caliber machine guns and infantry fire.

We did not want to announce this until now. We believe we may have had traitors in our midst. Lilith the prime carrier is in Happy Apple Blue Feather Arcology. Also the command center is on the second level. We need to fight to the middle of the dome. The second level is only reachable from there. It is important we capture the records intact. It will give the location of most of the plague carriers. We have intercepted communications between the different domes.

The Pythogrian tank broadside hits many of the missile carriers on the upper level of the mound destroying most of the missiles firing at the helicopters.

A wave of infected soldiers moves forward protecting the artillery and missile fire. It looks like the final stand. There are about 100,000 of them pouring out. Outnumbered they still attack. Two more barrages of artillery and tanks fire forward. There is a mix of tanks and artillery at the base of the mound. Then you see explosions in the tunnels. They are attempting to blow the tunnels to seal their way to the second level.

The infected are moving directly into the path of fire. Many Commonalitarianism soldiers fall from the fire. The enemy is being chewed to bits from return fire.

Pythogrian infantry enter the tunnels and begin firing with DNI and Thunderclaps. As the tanks continue to blitz the enemy, the word comes out-- the anti-virus will be delivered in eight ours.

The tunnels are filled with the infected. A new kind of infected is mixed in with the others. Only a few of them at first. They are big close to 6 1/2 feet tall, 4 feet thick, and 4 feet wide of solid muscle. They look like muscle on top of muscle with thick mangled looking teeth and sallow grey skin. They are carrying heavy weapons miniguns, rocket launchers, and other heavy weapons. The dui weapons affect them, but not the others.

You are receiving heavy fire. As you advance, the Commonalitarianism soldiers move forward into the tunnels with you. They fire continuously . The flamethrower crews move forward. You look at them closely, a big radiation symbol is on their backs. It says stay away sonofusion (table top fusion). They aren't throwing out flame but cutting torch beams 35'-40' long. They hose the inside of the tunnels. Bodies burn and crumple. A blast door is in front of you. You watch as the door melts like butter burning holes through it.

Pythogrian soldiers decide to stop wasting ammo and take out their rocket launchers. They walk through the door, seee several infected, and pump them full of rockets and DNI.

You enter what looks like a huge underground complex. There are very dimly lit computers. The bulbs overhead give off a strange wan red light. You can hear the crash of glass and you see notebooks and papers being burned in piles. There is smoke everywhere.

Several of the infected throw down their weapons. They look different more mature. Their eyes are solid black, their skin is a pasty gray. They are moving towards you with their hands up. One of them which looks almost human yells "Stop stop we surrender." We will not fight you anymore. They are blocking the entrance to going deeper into the complex. There are a lot of them.

Behind them you hear the crash of breaking glass, and what sound likes a whump of something being lit on fire. There is crashing and burning. The sound of things breaking. Continous whirring occurs also.

The infected give up, and are put into special cure units. Pythogrian troops come out of the complex.

You gather the remaining infected that surrendered. The surrendered delayed you enough for several of the infected to escape. Much of the information was also destroyed in fires and shredding machines. What is pieced together from burnt journals, partially recovered hard drives is the location of many of the infected. It includes small pockets of infected in Mondoth, Otagia and other countries apparently waiting for a signal to infect the population. You now have the location of the majority of where the outbreaks will occur. On the third level was a small bay for several submarines. You are not quite sure where they went. We got two of them as they tried to escape. Two could be anywhere.

What you find is disturbing. There is a picture of Lilith, it turns out to be a picture of Lilac Smith an astronaut who disappeared with her ship from a small country named NeoMetropolis while heading towards the dark side of the moon. There are binders of strange looking pictures and photographs like nothing you have seen before, floating balloon plants, giant mud dwelling worms, silicate pillars, and other things. There is no apparent location where these came from. There is a brief mention of an energy flux somewhere on the dark side of the moon.

There is also a laboratory with vats full of the virus. Mutagenic compounds with biohazard signs are found next to the vats. People are suspended in the vats. They look changed. Most are unconscious. There are also notebooks on how the virus works. Apparently it is a viral symbiont which lives inside the cells of the people who catch the virus constantly rewriting their dna. It is not like any terrestrial virus. Various biotechnology equipment is lining the walls. Some of which looks to be custom designed.

Black Ops scientists reviewed the data.

"This is incredible..." he paused. "A custom virus."

An intercom buzzed. "THE ANTI-VIRUS IS READY."

"Ah. Begin bombing run."

"YES SIR."

Bombing runs went over infected areas, spreading the anti-virus. Infected fell unconsious and began to change. ICBMs loaded with the anti-virus were launched at all of the countries that would have experienced outbreaks.

99.9% fall into a deep sleep and begin to change back. Some die from the shock of the change 10%. A very few are resistant, but this is noticed immediately. Shock troops move into the previously infected areas catching the non-slumbering ones before they can reinfect the others. The other domes fall under the relentless onslaught of total mobilization. Over 21.5 million people died during the fighting for the six domes and islands both infected and soldiers. There is a tremendous loss. Only two of the six domes are marginally functional and can be rebuilt. The fighting on the Island of Beertopia is intense. It is jungle and woodland warfare of the most savage kind. The gas had trouble penetrating the heavy canopy. Over 70,000 prison battalion troops and 120,000 regular troops die in the incessant jungle warfare, but it finally ends. They pull out realizing it will be impossible to fully clean the island. There are rumors of some of the infected still surviving in isolated pockets. The island is finally quarantined and orbital tungsten missiles pulverize massive craters into the island. Still the rumors persist that there are infected still there.

Meanwhile in a hidden location, Lilith waits...
