International Association of Powers

The IAP was founded in late 2011 by Italy, New Zealand, Portugal and Spain. It's original mission was to form some cooperative organization between the four countries, especially in production, economic boosts and military operations. The alliance was also meant as a counterweight to the belligerents of the world.

Member States:
Italy
New Zealand
Portugal
Spain

Charter in a Nutshell:

I. Decisions are to made by the whole of the alliance, thereby providing each member state with one vote. These decisions range from declerations of war, the planning of military operations, internal disputes and a great range of other options. Those that are not to be decided by the alliance as a whole will be listed below; those are exceptions. That said, the crux of the IAP is military cooperation, and member nations that do not exercise this will face repurcussions and possible expulsion. Each resolution has a full year to pass, while nations that wish to enter have half a year to be voted in.

II. Decisions are only to be voted on by nations that belong to the IAP. Non-member nations do not hold the right to vote or to speak.

III.Leadership is provided through presidency, which is to be held for two years. Furthermore, co-leadership will be established through a vice-president and the Alliance Cooperative. This latter insitution is a list of limited members designed to mimick the security council of the United States, providing last minute decisions, and given the right to overturn decisions made by the alliance as a whole. The Alliance Cooperative will be formed every year from three member states.

IV.Members interesting in application and acceptance must conform to the idea of a unified military organism. Although nations will act independently from each other, some greater form of cooperative ambitions is to be established by all member states.

V.IAP presidency is the only member of the alliance capable of making puclic proclomations outside the alliance, while can also act as a unified commander in chief if the Alliance Cooperative believes this is the correct path to undertake.

VI.Should a member nation be attacked without provocation, and whilst being innocent in the war's beginnings, all member states pledge not only military defense, but economic aid and economic blockades on the belligerent.

This is subject to change as the alliance expands. If you are not accepted don't take it personally; acceptance will be rigorous and based off strategic importance to the alliance.

Spain throws it's support behind Argentine inclusion, as well, sealing Argentina as a member of the IAP. However, we will wait until the Italian vote is declared before making an official move.
