OOC: Basically this is another bloc/league/union like the EU or the ALN or the CIS.

The Closely Supportive Alliance and Union
Member Nations:
Israel (Founding Nation) - Geneticon (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=469899)
CBSS (Founding Nation) - Cenanan (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=470068)
Australia (Founding Nation) - Asbena (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=469832)
Poland (Founding Nation) - Ebedron
Israel has felt for a long time that it must break from the past and create an alliance of nations with which it has good relations. Therefore, they we have decided that to create the CSAU for such nations as we deem close allies and partners in the search for peace and security:
Firstly in the Middle East
And Secondly in the World as a Whole
All nations may apply for membership here. (In which case you may, or may not be accepted)
If you are a part of another bloc/union, you may still join the CSAU. But you may ONLY be a part of up to ONE other union besides the CSAU and the UN in order join. (NATO doesn't count as a union)
Currently Invited Nations:
----
Established in 2011
Currently headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel (subject to change)
No nation is currently the President of the CSAU.
Resolutions:
None yet.
/ooc would joining this union force us to leave the EU?

OOC: Not necassarily. I forgot to put the rule above... (check there now). You may still be a part of the EU and UN and join the CSAU too.
The CBSS would like to join the CSAU, we are locaated close enough to the middle east that things happening there have a direct impact on our nation. We will still retrain our ties to the EU however.

The CBSS is accepted as one of the founding nations of the CSAU. Welcome to the union.

[ooc: hate to break your heart, but many EU nations are members of NATO as well [including CBSS]...just a little thing...]

[ooc: hate to break your heart, but many EU nations are members of NATO as well [including CBSS]...just a little thing...]
OOC: NATO doesn't count either... I don't really view them as a close linked bloc like the EU.
What we're really trying to avoid is one nation being a member of the ALN, EU, CSAU, NATO, etc. because if a conflict resulted it would be ugly.
Nato is a trade alliance.. the EU is like.. the beginnings of the USA
Before joining, Poland would like to know what will occur here. We need to know what will happen in this organization before we can join.

OOC: It's pretty much the same as the EU, except a new group of nations. We are also concerned more specifically with keeping peace... and defending each other.
Australia will certainly join.
However, as Aramaki is currently ill his aide Alex Andersong will be taking over for him for the time being.

Taiwan requests to join as the One China.
OOC: I think we have to be invited (like I was) and be an ally to Israel and the other members. Though China would be pissed if you did that.
mainland china would be furious..

I got that off the front intro.
Who gets to decide who gets to be in? the founding nations? Or just Israel
OOC: Yes...but if your not our ally or of any significant nation....why would we let you in? Linkshells on FFXI say the same things, but rarely mean it unless you have something to offer them and have 2+ people to support you.
it really comes down to Geneticon's choice.
it really comes down to Geneticon's choice.
OOC: I'd say it really doesn't, China is the real one that would. China would have to allow it, and since they don't want to give Taiwan its sovereignity and let it do as it pleases....I feel as if we could anger them.
I ment him being invited was up to Gen. He would have to consider the consiquences of him joining as china as well. That would be his decision. Personally, I think its a bad idea
OOC: China would be vehemently opposed to it...even if invited; I doubt he could except unless he wanted a war. Maybe a trade partner, but not in an alliance or union. It's just not how China likes things to be. XD
i will join. please keep an invitation only union.

Poland is accepted as a founding nation.
Taiwan, we apoligize, but we cannot allow you in the CSAU... we do not have close relations with China, and we would hate for those relations to escalate to worse feelings. If you were not so close to them (AKA almost one of their states) we would allow you in, but until you become independant we can't let you in.
This is not invitation only, any country may ask to join, but only invited nations may be considered founding nations.

OOC: I've been gone all weekend and finally got back tonight.
A founding nation holds a lot more weight in the CSAU... it's a lot like the UNSC.
