Bronze Age RP idea

My RPs weren't moving, so I thought I'd post this RP idea I had. Everyone picks a spot somewhere on the coast of the East Mediteranean (east of Tunisia/Sardinia) or the Aegean. Game starts around 2500 BC. Nations develop, techs devellop wherever necessary, and we try to work towards a Greco-Phoenician war type scenario. (not necessarily Greece and Phoenicia, just the idea). Comments, questions?

[One side idea is for me to play as god, reward the faithfull and damn the heathen. It's not neccesary though.]

It sounds cool, but I'll wait for more reactions.

I gather we will all be city-state type things correct?

At first yes. Later, not a clue. Could go either way. Alliances of city states will probably be a good way to raise a force very fast, but a single nation is clearly more powerfull.

Ok, I'll try this again when there are less RPs going. Could I just ask a favor, don't start your own untill I can try this one? Plz.

I'm interested, although if you pushed this a tad bit forward, perhaps to the pre-Roman era and post-Hellenic League?

I'm in though anyways. :)

I liked city states. But post hellenic is alright I suppose.

yeah, but that would involve some people starting with already developped nations. I wanted the start to be even. The tech can be a little bit more advanced though, I'm good with that.

How far geographically does this cover?
Like what cultures can't be included?

I would assume the mesoamerican ones, but what else?

I thought you might be using that as an example as it' not the entire, or even the best examples, of the Bronze age. Effectivly cutting out the more interesting cultures such as the Nubian, Persian, Mesopotamian, and European peoples.

Oh well, it certianly looked interesting.

Yeah but most of those can make for some pretty uneven teams. That's the major problem.

So anyone can join I'm assuming? Then I'm in.

Yes, anyone can join. The reason I cut it to this is for the game to be almost exclusively maritime-based. And if you end up in a losing uneven team, improve your diplomatic skills. Either way, defender gets an advantage, so you would have to be outnumbered by a large margin to be losing.
I'm also planning to keep this open to new players all the time, so I'll work out some sort of new nation (was about to say noob) protection system. Something along the lines of: big nation attacks new nation, 20 npcs ally with the new nation.

And, this is not meant to follow history at all. Whoever got annoyed about the geographical area, you can replace the Numidians in Cyrenaica or something if you want to.

Cool, since this is by Greeks I assume that I can be the Spartans?
