RMBT-137 Golden Ram
Armament
The Golden Ram features the new Electro Thermal Chemical 120 mm smoothbore barrel. This system uses an energized liquid propellent and gives more energy to the round than the standered solid propelent. Although promising, there are some safety hazards and logistics can be a problem. The barrel also features an auto loader, which can load almost 3 times as fast as a manned loader, although the gunner can load the gun himself if need be.
The Golden Ram also has two TOW and two SAM launchers on-board. These have room for up to 8 projectiles for the SAM launchers and up to 4 each for the TOW launchers. They can be reloaded, but it must be from the outside. The cannon and machine gun can be controlled from both the inside and outside.
Armour
The Golden Ram has 400mm of third generation Chobham armour, which gives it an equivilent of 1,200 mm of Rolled Homogeneous Armor. This armour is highly secretive, although it entails the compression of woven titanium inside ceramic between two steel plates with depleted uranium rods inserted inside.

Engine
A 2000 Horsepower Cammerecci Motors biodesiel engine powers The Golden Ram, giving it a range of about 300 miles.

Interior

The RMBT-137 has a highly advanced electronics system onboard. The commander/driver has two screens with both an infared and night/daytime vision, plus a 25 foot periscope with both included. A highly advanced YOLONDA class computer is onboard, with ability similar to that of a commercial supercomputer, compacted into a 3 foot by 3 foot EMP hardened box. The gunner/auxilary loader is able to move the turret without the commander, and moves to locations marked by the commander.
A storage area/troop carrier is located in the rear of the vehicle, and is capable of holding 4 fully armed troops and there gear, or supplies for 3 weeks, including auxilary ammo.

Length: 34 Feet

Build Cost:12 Million
Export Cost: 15 Million, built in inferior factory with inferior parts
(not too inferior, just enough so mine are better)

*Well the RL Chobham armour is classified, so why can't mine?
OOC: Comments? This is my first attempt at designing land systems, so I'd appreciate constructive critisism.
Also, picture is not mine, and is loosly based off another sites PMT tank with some Challenger 2 and Abrams mixed in there.

Looks nice... and I would actually be willing to purchase a few... the concept is cool.

I think what you need to do though is exlpain the system a lot more. The description is a little vague, and doesn't explain the cool key elements of the vehicle, or how those weapons work, the tech onboard, targetting systems, etc.

But good for a first try. I'm still leanring myself... here's my very first orginal design: F-26 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=473124). Feel free to let me know what you think.

Another thing you need is a price! *thumbs up*

[OOC: Some supportive criticism. I would increase the weight. 38 tons is really low, especially given the volume of the tank (~4037.5ft³ - it's rounded, of course the tank isn't a box..but it gives a general view). The Abrams would be ~2496ft³. But you not only have the 120mm smoothbore, but two TOW launchers and two SAM launchers. I'm assuming armour is similar to that of the Abrams, or superior, while your engine is a lot larger. This should be >70 tons. And, I would scrap the TOW launchers and simply allow your main gun to fire an ATGM. That's it! Otherwise, great tank! :) ]

OOC: Thanks for the input. I'll be editing some of that stuff soon, and adding quite a bit of stuff. I know I didn't have much, kinda pressed for time at the moment...

Changed the design of the Golden Ram.
Actually quite a bit.
Currently working on an Infantry Fighting Vehicle/Troop Carrer/Amphibious Vehicle/Urban Fighting Vehicle.
Should come out quite nice, if I do say so myself. :)

Wow. Cool tank. Could I use it as a base for one of my tanks? (I PROMISE it won't be a copy. I'll give you the stats so you can see that it is not a copy and that your tank was an inspiration.)

You can go ahead. I based it off of something else too, of course I changed quite a bit, but still based it off something else.

AUFV-54 Ghost Crab
http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/7998/aaavimage92hj0bg.gif
Overview
The AUFV-54 (Amphibious Urban Fighting Vehicle) Ghost Crab is a vehicle designed specifically for the assualt needs of The Incorperation. Ramissle frequently finds itself in situations where fast and heavily armed vehicles are needed to support ground troops in there insertion and extraction, and we figured we might as well combine the two and make it simpler. The Ghost Crab is able to carry 3 crew members, plus 10 fully armed soldiers.
Armament
The Ghost Crab has three main weapon systems: the main 80 mm rifled gun, the secondary .50 caliber coaxial gun, and a pair of TOW missle launchers. The 80 mm gun is a huge step up from the 30 mm normally found in Amphibious Assault Vehicles, as is the .50 caliber coaxial, which may be fired from the exterior or interior. Also added are the TOW missle launchers, which The Incorperation found is useful in many situations the Ghost Crab will be in, from the transport overseas to the insertion in an urban enviroment.
Armour
The AUFV-54 uses the third generation Chobham armour used in The Golden Ram, although with much less of it, dropping down to 100 mm. This would give it an RHA equivelent of 300 mm. The sides, as well as armour, is sloped at a 15 degree angle. An armoured skirt covers the treads.

Engine
Fitted inside the Ghost Crab is a 1200 Horsepower Biodesiel engine that powers both the amphibious system and the tracks, by switching over from the tracks powertrain to the inboard propellers. The engine gives it a speed of 48 mph overland, and about 15 knots on the sea.

Length: 20.5 feet
Width: 10.5 feet
Height: 10 feet (not including turret
Top Speed: 48 MPH land, 15 knots sea
Weight: 24 tons
Armament:80 mm rifled cannon, .50 caliber coaxial gun, 2 TOW launchers (5 rounds each)
