I am Ghengiz T'nittas, Warlord of The Essenian Dynasty, former Lord of the Black Katanas. The usuper, Prince Vyossae, who is also my nephew, was illegally placed on the throne of the Katanas by another nephew, Alaric of Xeraph. I have pledged to regain my throne in the Black Katanas, and have pledged as well to kill the Xeraphian emperor along with the leaders of Comatica, NYC, Fourhearts, and West Cedarbrook. These pig-nations are not fit to exist, and with the remnants of the Katanas, Legions, Vhammpyrians, and Visionarians who were driven into the Camel Desert, and the nations of GothReich and Baael, I will begin a war of attrition against all who would oppose me.

We gave you a chance to forfeit your absurd notions of "evil Allied Coalition," but you don't reply to reason. It is apparent now that we will put our military on alert, and will capture or kill any Essenian attackers that so much as cross our borders. The King paced back and forth across the room. Once again he was faced with a situation not of his making. When he agreed to come to the banner of Warlord Ghengiz, it was with the understanding that they would all, GothReich included, be ready to implement a hit and run war against those accursed nations that had defeated the Imperium all those months ago.

Now, Ghengiz was rattling his saber too hard. They were not ready. The stragglers of the Katanas, Legions, and Visions were not up to strength. They had spent the better part of the last 6 months dragging themselves through the desert to get here. It would be a good while before they were healed and ready to once again fight the former allied coalition.

Vireku pointed at a soldier. "You! Get word to T'nittas that we are not ready to fight. We need more time!"

" Yes, your majesty. I'm on my way."

One good thing was potentially in the making. He had information that another nation was secretly preparing to join their cause. Wouldn't that pig Alaric be surprised.

The Holy Empire of GothReich wants to make it known that all is is readiness within the empire. Warlord Ghengiz has ordered us to outfit and train the remaining Vhammpyrians. Preparations are under way to revamp our armored division to include all main battle tanks retrofitted with STA and STG missiles.
LOKI armored commanders are at battle ready alert.

General John Strickland, Supreme Commander of Xeraphian Forces world wide, just shook his head. He turned to the Emperor, Alaric Tan'it, and said, " What the hell is Ghengiz thinking? He knows he can't beat us. Hell, he can't even do us any appreciable harm. He knows our set-up, and our abilities. The only thing he has going for him is his alledged stealth/guerilla tactics and his secret location. We don't know where the hell his country is!"

Alaric glanced at him over his coffee cup. " You mean to tell me that Ricala's orbiting battle-stations haven't located my uncle's territory yet?"

" Nope......not a trace of him anywhere. Pole to pole, hemispere to hemisphere; we can't find him."

" How far did the battle-stations probe?"

" Standard depth. Twenty-five hundred feet straight down and laterally."

" Hmmm...strange. We know he's out there. John, have the OBSs reconfigure depth analysis. Double it. Something's kinda fishy here."

On behalf of the Emperor, we thank you for the loan of five billion USD. We do consider it a loan, and repayment in full will be accomplished after we have invested it appropriately.
Our initial use of the money will be to build six state-of-the-art Aon Class BattleCarriers. These are the same carriers that we utilise in our WarHammer CBGs. They carry 1,655 personnel, 136 Rattlesnake and Mamba fighters, and 6 Comanche II HCGSs. In addition, there are 6 banks of 50 VLS SAMS.
If you like, when and if this war with the Essenian Dynasty is over, we would be happy to turn these carriers over to the Pythogrian military.

Chancellor Carrion knew that he was taking a big chance by defecting to Kharnalia. In Mercenary Lands, the Republic had a lot of well known allies. Allies who were powerful enough to aid the Republic with whatever it needed.

But blood was thicker than water.

Carrion was distantly related to Ghengis T'nittas. Which also made him related to most of the Xeraphian Empire's leaders. But being under the thumb of Alaric Tan'it was more than he could bear. Tan'it's restrictive policies left Pharex with little national self-determination, and Carrion, whose family name was actually Tonat, had bigger goals for his nation than being a subject nation of Xeraph. He felt that if he cast his lot with Ghengis, he'd have more than a decent shot at attaining those goals.

So, the die was cast. The Armed Republic was now a part of the war-machine of Kharnalia. Carrion prayed that Ghengis knew what he was doing. It meant the survival of Pharex.

The fog had rolled in thicker than usual, covering the plains and mountains alike. Thunder could be heard off to the west and streaks of lightening cut through the dark of night.

Ghengiz was pleased. The troops had trained well today. The transition from regular battle tactics to stealth was not an easy one. Guerilla warfare was essentially a terror tactic. Hit and run, doing the most damage as possible in the shortest time possible. The first of the elite Dragon Force had had their "graduation" today. Ghengiz had turned them loose against an isolated group of pirates on one of the islands off the coast of Baael. They never knew what hit them. Not a soul remained alive.....men, women and children were slaughtered, their homes and farms left burning. The pirate's ships had been boarded, fitted with C-4, and destroyed in sequence. Over 700 pirates now lie at the bottom of Khozan Bay along with 23 of their vessals.

As Ghengiz gazed out of the window in his command tower, he again debated which nation would be first to receive the fruits of his vengeance. NYC? Fourhearts? Perhaps Comatica? He really wanted to hit Xeraph, and hit them hard. But Xeraph was a tough nut to crack. No one had gotten into Xeraph since the terrorist attack of 79 years ago. Alaric had seen to it that a flea couldn't get in there undetected.

And then there was that nusiance MelekTaus. Big words from such a puny country. MelekTaus hadn't been a player in the B & G war, and Ghengiz didn't know why they were sticking their nose in where it didn't belong.

Patience, patience.....There was more than enough time for LOKI to strike.

A thought sprang into his mind, and slowly, a grin spread across his face. Yes, yes.....THAT would be the place to strike. The grin broke into a laugh...

"There ARE still thousands of wandering soldiers left over from the Imperium's defeated forces," said Minister Tiro Santaelium, Titus listening with intense patience. "Up until recently, we payed no attention to them, as they were scattered through the Camel's Desert. But something's bringing them together near the eastern coast of the continent. I don't like it. There have been some reports of artillery shells detonating from the nomadic people that frequent the desert. With your permission, sir, I would like to send several Intel planes over to that area. And if it yields any troubling results, possibly a bombing run, or the deployment of a spec-ops unit would be in order." He tossed a manilla folder to Titus, filed neatly with commission papers and intel documents.

The emperor scrutinized the documents closely for several minutes, before interrupting the conversation between two ministers at the staff table.

"You thought right, Tiro. I recognize some of these formation patterns and travel habits from these sat images from my days in spec-ops. It's no coincidence that these thousands of old Imperium men are gathering here. Have a squadron of twelve pilotless intel planes scan the area and perimeter. They're not to be detencted, got it? If these guys have any more than just artillery, then chances are they'll be throwing it at us. If it proves that they're hostile, or the planes are fired on, launch a preliminary, warning bombing raid from the intel planes. If that doesn't get them to surrender, launch a larger, efficient raid from regular stealth bombers, and possibly deploy GTF Beta. 7,000 men should do it."

The three minisubs closed in under complete silence, as soon as signalled by their control ship, WCS I-52, of the Essenian departure. Wreckage was surveyed, and some of the bodies examined. A small force from the forward minisub consisting of a lead Defense Intellegence Organization operative and four divers from Naval Special Forces Operations launched to inspect more closely, and pick up munitions fragments.

By T +47 minutes the small fleet had packed up and headed back to control.

The next day heading East Southeast the control ship and the minisub carrier had met with it's cruiser escorts, and were steaming east toward air coverage under the WCS Circleville.

Alert Screen 17 lit up with an eerie orange glow.

" Private, tell his lordship that we have bogies incoming!"

Within minutes, Ghengiz and King Katthor of Tushia arrived in warroom C. " What've we got, corporal?"

"10-12 unknowns heading north-northeast sir. Scan shows no life-signs. Probably drones."

" Hmmm...armed or recon, that's the question."

" I'd say recon, sir. Theyr'e moving too fast to be one-ways."

" OK, corporal, your'e probably right. My orders are to ignore the bogies. If they are recon units, theyr'e harmless. All theyr'e doing is taking pics of our training units in the desert. That's hundreds of miles from the capitol. And those training units will be gone in 48 hours.

Theyr'e checking us out, eh? Well I think we'll reciprocate. Send RecDrones 3 and 8 to Deltnum. Have them drop a couple of duds over Nuaram, just to let them know we're here. Duds...got it? I'm not ready to send out units when they declare war on us....not just yet."

The exchange of military bases is agreeable to the Emperor. We actually have a combination air/armor/naval/army base fully operational and stocked for you in our subject-nation of The Dominion of Black Shadows. A former ally of the Empire left it fully intact when it departed for a new region. It is 37 square miles in size, and has berthing for up to 50 naval vessals, 90 aircraft, 25 MBTs, and barracks for 700 soldiers. It's yours if you like.

We will be sending the 10th AI Engineer Corps to build our base in Pythogria in one weeks time, if that is alright.

Prime Minister Scott Lau, sitting in his Head Ministery Chair, was called upon that news involving an ally of Leocardia had been reported. "Conflict: Stirs between Essenian Dynasty and the 'Katanas'. Who will win?" The headline in the Governmental News Show was up. "Prime Minister Scott Lau is now making decisions in his office, what will he make?"

"Shit." Scott, sitting in his chair, critically thought. "We need to help them out." He said to the meeting with all the Ministers of Leocardia. "Essenian Dynasty is our newest ally, we can't afford to lose them. We can prove them we're something to them, our new Navy and newly armed forces: Leocardian Tiger-Assaults. We can."

"Erm.. Perhaps, we have another way." Jason Batista, Leocardia's Foreign Minister interrupted. "We're still trying to keep out of this. We don't want them invading us, or we'll have to deploy our Leocardian Terrorists Forces for defence. And we don't want that. I suggest you to just send Navy, and be done with it."

The message from the Essenian Dynasty was broadcasted in all the rooms of the Naval crew who were sent to Essenian Dynasty for a operation. After the message was broadcasted, Prime Minister Lau took over, "Troops, you are the new generation naval fighters representing Leocardia. You all are trained by the World's Top Instructors, and now you guys have formed one of the World's Top Navy Forces. Remember this when times get hard: You are Elite, The One and Only Leocardian Navy. One Nation under God! Sieg Leocardia! LEOCARDIA! LEOCARDIA!." The sailors chanted "LEOCARDIA LEOCARDIA LEOCARDIA!!!" and ran to deck, right after the broadcast.

With pride and honor, the ships fired some rounds in the sea. Some took their Marine rifles and fires the skies. "LEOCARDIA! WE STAND! ONE NATION UNDER GOD!"

"Son of a bitch," said Mundatus under his breath. "Very well, Rufe'. What kind of forces are the Leocardians sending to the Dynasty?"

The Chief of Ministry's secretary, Rufus, looked in his notes, neatly typed and filed into several manilla folders. "A naval force. A very large naval force, in fact. They're not the largest nation there ever was, but they sent about 150 ships."

Mundatus sighed, and brought his hand to his forehead in vain exasperation. "I guess it could have been worse. More allies of the Dynasty could have responded. But for now, we'll have to deal with Leocardia. Is Titus still at the Tocrowkian Peace conference?"

"Yes sir. No official word on when they'll be back. Probably in several days, though."

"Have his secretary give him a situation briefing email, to be sent no later than noon today. He can take several minutes from his schedule at the conference to read a simple email."

I have been assigned by the Department of External Affairs to offer condolences on the unfortunate deaths of some 700 Baael subjects at Khozan Bay recently. This has come to the attention of the Kramden by undisclosed sources.

The government wishes for such unnecessary bloodshed in your nation to cease. Of course this incident is not widely known and it would be sad for your majestys and the royal familys image if it were to be common knowledge in Baael.

By contrast it would be more beneficial to your nation to consider it's subjects safety, and it's commerce. Surely it would be better to maintain commercial relations with a wide variety of nations, including the GAPTS members. It would be a loss of commerce if Baael were to follow in the footsteps of the Essenian Dynasty, and lose assets in the Kramden and it's allies.

I can meet with a representative of Baael in Euroslavia to discuss a more open and accomodating attitude toward world commerce, and better protection for your subjects. The meeting would be with representatives of Baael only. The Kramden is prepared to demonstrate it's concerns with a visit of the Overseas Fleet to your waters. Those subjects in the vicinity of Khozan Bay and nearby islands may be particularly interested.

The swine who died at Khozan Bay were not Baaelites. They were renegade pirates who had been raiding Baael and GothReich for months. Lord Ghengiz T'nittas deployed LOKI military personnel to the pirate islands as an excercise in armed annihilation. These pirate-islands just happened to be off the coast of Baael.

The Dominion of The Grey Legions, having been defeated in the Allied Coalition/Black and Grey Imperium War, wishes it known that we will not side with the Essenian Dynasty and it's allies.

Aside from having depleted our military in the foolhardy war, we cannot see the purpose in backing another losing proposition.

The Legion units that are presently aligned with TED/LOKI are considered persona-non-grata, and we do not recognize them as Legion nationals.

We also wish it known that Duke Avan Astran was executed for treason. Although we are no longer a part of the Xeraphian Empire, our previous ties to that Empire should have prevented the Duke from attacking it and it's allies.

We are in the process of revamping our government to a republican form, lifting the dictatorial tenets of the former ruler. President Reichard Schneider was elected in the Legion's first free election. He will be addressing the world at large in the near future.

"Your Grace as you know we have been on DEFCON Two for over a week and half now, I belive it will be time to elevate that soon. The Kharnalia Coaliton is not stopping at anything recently Leocardia sent an enourmous naval task force to the Essenian Dynasty. I think we must increase our naval deployments right away. "I have to agree with Reginald," said Baron Sir Charles Hassahoff, the Foreign Minister, "At this time there are no diplomatic options left. Th Karnalians are bent on warmongering and for our security and the secuirty of tyhe world we must not stop them. I am persoanlly agianst a premptive strike but we should be on full alert in case they attack us, Comatica, or Xeraph, or any of the other GAPTS allies."

The Emperor thanks you for the offer of the ICBMs.

However, we want you, and all allies of Xeraph, that there isn't any war....yet. The Essenian Dynasty and allies have not made a single overt move against any Xeraphian territory, or territories of it's allies. Even though they have been getting stronger over the past months, they still could not hope to match Xeraph's military abilities, never mind Xeraph AND it's allied military strength. Thw warlord has stated that IF any attacks against us happen, they would be in the form of stealth tactics. We think ALL Xeraphian allies had better see to their own nations security. All allies must begin to tighten their borders, so as not to let any LOKI agents slip through.

The two pilots jumped out of the plane just seconds before it blew up. One was thrown 20 feet by the blast. He was lying on his back, moaning, when the other pilot started dragging him up the beach to a wooded area. They had to get under cover....and quickly. If half what they heard about the LOKI troops was true, they wouldn't stand a chance.

The NYC pilots, Doug Forrester and Hank Frink, had camoflaged themselves as well as possible. They were deep in enemy territory on the border of TED and Osatael, the newest TED ally. The entire region of Kharnalia was teeming with the new recruits of LOKI as well as the veterans of the B & G war.

Hank was grabbing forty winks, Doug was keeping an eye out for enemy units. Doug was thinking about the past few weeks. He and his wife had bought a new house, and were in the process of renovating it when the call for him to join his recon unit. They had almost had the entire house painted. As he lost himself in his thoughts, he was jerked back to the present by the snap of a twig..........but it was too late.

As he grabbed for his sidearm, a heavy booted foot smashed into his ribcage, knocking the wind out of him. Through the pain, he saw Hank being manhandled by two soldiers.

A huge hand grabbed him by the back of his neck, and he came face to face with his worst nightmare.

The creature that was holding him three inches off the ground had the most hideous features Doug had ever seen. It's skin was a pasty, grayish mass of festering wounds, where maggots writhed and squirmed. It had large eyes and the pupils were feline. There was no nose...just a hole in the middle of the face seperated by a bloody membrane where Doug could hear it's awful, bubbling breathing. It had a large mouth, most teeth rotten or broken. Except for the incisors, which protruded over it's lower lip about an inch. It's matted, bloody hair hung about it's shoulders. At present, it was holding a razor-sharp battle-knife to his throat and screaming a gutteral language at him. All Doug could do was shake his head.

Doug realized who these creatures were. They were a patrol of the dreaded Legions of Vhammpyr whose biotech attack on NYC has caused the death of millions.

He managed to steal a glance over at Hank, trussed up like a sheep for slaughter, who was evidently talking to one of the creatures. The Vhammpyrian soldier backhanded Hank, who fell unconscious.

The soldier walked over to Doug, and said in fairly decent english, " I am Greal, officer of this patrol. We tracked you after watching your aircraft crash into our land. Your friend over there was not as cooperative as I needed him to be. Perhaps you will do better......."

Stunning both the government of N Y C and Comatica, a N Y C reconnaisance plane disappeared off radar screens last night. The Comatic military says the craft crashed on the territory of The Essenian Dynasty, and it is unclear as to why.
Press Secretary Publicius Sercatus held a press session at the Imperial Palace earlier this morning, quoting both Chief of Ministry Mundatus Veldaem and Emperor Titus Celmaetus, who is currently attending a peace conference on Tocrowkia, and was unavailable for direct comment.
"It is unclear whether the craft was showing hostilities to any Essenian military force, or even if the plane was shot down," said Sercatus. "We do know that the two crew members, both from N Y C, were killed."
Added Sercatus, "Investigative forces from N Y C should be able to pinpoint the cause of the impact, and whether the Essenian Dynasty should be held responible."
Quoting Emperor Celmaetus, Sercatus also said, "'I am remaining wary of any decisive behavior regarding the situation with LOKI, as it is very much in the air whether the Essenian Dynasty did in fact militarily attack this aircraft. If the investigation reveals that they are responsible, then this may be cause for a response, either military or diplomatically.'"

This was our only practical and effective weapon against the vampires. As they seem to be showing their faces again, I bid we recommission the TDI guns.

Due to it's danger for the operator, TDI guns may only be from 14 mm to about 44 mm. The Comatic military outfittedmany thousands of 15 mm semi-automatic rifles, capable of individual operation. These soldiers that carry these weapons are specially trained, and are in dangerous situations each time the gun if fired.

The Comatic military currently has close to 475,000 of these soldiers, mostly used to attack tanks and armored vehicles in the absence of armored or artillerial backup. But they were used to dismember the vampires (which is the only way of effectively killing them), and saved many Comatic lives.

Attached are lab papers describing TDI's chemical makeup, and how it should be used. I'm sure that all of your scientists are more than capable of analyzing the documents, but TDI takes long to manufacture, and is rather expensive. Therefore, during the time that you may be manufactuing the chemical, we will provide covert shipments of of TDI, up to 25,000 tons, free for our allies.

Also, this serves as a reiteration to N Y C, who, if I am not mistaken, already posesses a certain amount of TDI.

I believe you. US already has a space weapon up and running, but not in use.

Ghengiz noted that these pig-nations were riling themselves up. He hadn't made a single move, or even a declaration of intent, aside from the original statement that he was pledged to destroy some nations. Hardly an excuse for them to start shooting.

High up in the heavily forested mountains of Pharex, there was an ancient Keep, so well hidden in it's isolation that only the local recon-guides could find it.

Deep in the bowels of this Keep, scientists from several nations of LOKI were hard at work extracting venom from a number of highly toxic animals. Snakes and lizards were being milked, but the main focus was on the venom of the megalopyge opercularis caterpillar and the buthus arachnida scorpion. These creatures had the most toxic venom known to man. A venom so toxic that it's systemic effect was measured in seconds, not minutes or hours.

Ghengiz had ordered the Keep transformed into a modern lab facility, and now the grounds surrounding the lab was covered by acres of webs spun by the caterpillars, and a fifteen acre area had been cleared and covered by a plastic dome. Inside the dome, an artificial environment had been created in order to facilitate the reproduction of scorpions.

Ther were tens of thousands of the scorpions and the caterpillars. The extracted venom underwent a protracted process that intensified the effects of the poison by a factor of ten. A normal dose from either animal would kill a human in about nineteen minutes. The enhanced dose would do the same in less than two.

Ghengiz had been shown that 1/2 ounce of enhanced venom could be loaded into a small tactical ICBM and exploded 100 yards above land. The droplets would become a vapor capable of covering 10 city blocks. Within two minutes, thousands would die.

Ghengiz looked at the reports, and made a mental note as to the delivery date of the first missile..............

To get a group of SD's and Submarines into a formation like the one you stated in 25 seconds is impossible, even if they slept next to their stations. It would take many minutes, not seconds, to get those ships into any type of formation unless the ships were already in said formation. As a note to all the nations...something's about to happen that might start the 'festivities.'

Ghengiz and his henchmen were seated around a make-shift table high in the Colossae Mountains. Battle maps were spread across it, with several arrows pointing to potential targets across the globe.

It was quite a gathering. Generals and commanders from Osatael, Pharex, Leocardia, and all who had recently thrown their hat in with LOKI. There were even a few representatives of the old Imperium military, remnants of the Grey Legions, the Black Katanas, Dark Visions, and Vhammpyr. They had been chased across the Camel Desert and up through the mountains before the Comatican and Xeraphian pursuers gave up. When they got into the region of Kharnalia, they learned that they had been disowned by the leaders of those nations as well as Alaric of Xeraph. Their hatred burned within them, and the vengeance they yearned for overwhelmed their common sense.

Ghengiz stood up and threw his sword on the table. At once the chatter ceased, eyes and ears attentive to what the Warlord was about to say.

" Listen.....all of you listen. I am well aware that a lot of you want to just band together and launch a massive assault on one of the pig-nations and do as much damage as possible. But thats a losing proposition. You all know as well as I do that they could crush LOKI in a matter of days. We simply can't stand against their combined might, even if we had ten times our present military strength. No, this time we have to be sneaky. We have to hit our targets and get out, leaving as little to trace as possible. That's why our operatives have no insignia, no markings of any kind that will lead anyone back to us.

There are several nations who are already patrolling the waters just outside our territorial borders. And if I know Ricala of Auralinia, he's got a couple of those accursed Orbital Battle Platforms scanning our installations as we speak. But.....the element of surprise is with us. With all of the terrorism going on these days, they won't know who to blame for the attacks. And we have an ace in the hole. I've received word that that General Azulun, former High Commander of the Vhammpyrian forces, has escaped from the clutches of that pig Titus of Comatica."

When the vampires heard that, there was a gutteral murmur of approval.

" Yes, one of the greatest leaders of the old Imperium will soon be back with us." Ghengiz stopped and grinned. " And let me tell you......he's PISSED OFF!"

All around the table banged their swords on the table, and not a few fired their weapons into the dark of the night.

When the clamor died down, Ghengiz continued. " So, are you ready to strike? Are you prepared for a glorious thrust at the heart of those opposed to us?"

The shouting and yelling was deafining. " Good, good. Here's how we're going to start....."

Six squads of five of the newly-formed StealthGuards made their way to their assigned targets. All were armed with 12 specially made cartridges designed to be fired from standard flare guns. The guns were standard....the cartridges were not.

The cartridges were fitted with custom made caps, holding 230cc vials of venom from either the Arachnida scorpions or the Butos caterpillars, enhanced 10 times by a special process in the LOKI military labs in Osatael.
Each cartridge held enough venom that when it exploded in the atmosphere it was capable of killing 500-1000 people after it vaporised into nano-droplets.

One soldier in each of the six squads was designated as the VenOp. The others served as support and protection.

Tonight, all of the targets were naval units. Warships of all varieties: battleships, destroyers, carriers, missile ships. The six targets included units of the Black Katanas, Comatica, Findan, and Xeraph. If all went well, almost 100,000 of the enemy would be dead, another 100,000 wishing they were. When the cartridges disgorged their contents, the better part of an entire naval base would be affected.

The StealthGuard knew thay had little chance of living through the night. But their hatred for the targeted nations was greater than their will to live.

The first SG team made their way quickly and quietly through the waters of the naval base on Harag Bay, on the eastern shore of the Black Katanas. They had been dropped off by a Pharexian sub, and they had spent two hours swimming towards the gigantic carrier where the initial attack would happen.

As the VenOp climbed up a few feet on the carrier's anchor-chain, he looked around for any sign he had been detected, then gave the "thumbs-up" to his companions.

He pulled the flare gun from his holster, checked the load carefully, cocked it, pointed it skyward, and fired................

Within seconds of the first cartridge exploding in Harag Bay, many others were exploding in navy bases in Findan, Xeraph, and Comatica. A total of 72 would take it's toll of death.

There would be all kinds of hell to pay..............

"Sir, Essenian made their strike. Report says."

"Great.. Great.." Scott said. "Lets just watch what happens, then I'll probably get the task force to defence."

"Okay. I'll keep an eye."

The shift-change had gone off without a hitch. Marine guards had relieved the tired SEALS who had headed straight for a quick meal and some shut-eye.

The heightened alert status had begun to take a slight toll on the patrolling security teams of naval base III-a7 where the 73rd and 71st CBGs were stationed. The constsnt vigilance was making them edgey and anxious. Anxious men made mistakes.

None of the 75-odd guards noticed the slight rippling of the water around the Royal Xeraphian BattleCarrier, KHAN-3. None were aware that anything was amiss until they saw the flare arc up into the night sky and detonate. Just as the commander of the night watch was calling the command post to see what the flare was all about, he felt a tightness in his throat and his lips began to tingle. Three seconds later, the phone fell from a hand that could no longer grasp it. He and a half-dozen others fell to the deck, necks and faces turning a mottled blue as they were asphxiated.

Soon, fifty more marines were flopping on the deck, gasping their lives out.

Aboard the CES Cordethla, an Emperor Class Battleship, Major Henning stood watching over the black waters of the Basin Bay. This ship was stationed in the Barrow Basin Naval Outpost, on the southeastern coast of the Comatic mainland. The main structure on land had taken some damage from the Black Katanas' unrelenting assault, and there were several area that were visibly patched up by contractors, even in the dead of night.

"Major," said a small, mouse-haired Private. "You should take a look at this screen."

The Private led Henning to his radar console, which showed a primitive radar presence. "Looks to be an unauthorized vessel. Switch to 3-layer to determine it's intentions."

As the radar was loading, Henning narrated the information into a radio contact with the main observation deck. "About 15 miles ESE from the Outpost...preliminary analysis says it's a military vessel, neither friend nor foe. "

The screen finished loading. Henning gasped.

"Shit! Hostile vessels! Two entering harbor! ObDeck, engage SONAR. Scan for subs. Put the fleet on Sea-Attack Orange. Notify Admiral!"

Henning closed the radio contact, and left it to the Private. He dashed over to the Weapons Deck connection at a separate console. "Sea-Attack Orange! Ready SSM consoles 2a and 4a! Radar imagery coming up!" Henning sent the radar information to the SSM operators and Weapons commanders.

A voice echoed over the intercom on the deck. "SONAR determines submarine presence in bay! Hostile! Switch to channel 11 for SONAR information."

Henning recontacted the Weapons Deck. "Patch to channel 11! Code 3-57-1. Submarine presence detected by SONAR! Ready ASW."

The operation was now in the hands of the sailors on the Weapons Deck. He heard the echoing jets of the several SSMs, and the rockets fading into the distant night.

"WeapDeck, can we confirm any hits?"

Before Henning could get a response, a flare shot up and punched the low fog barrier several hundred feet in the air, and exploded like a fireworks rocket.

"ObDeck, what was that? A missile attack?"

"Unfamiliar. Most likely a dud, just to shake us up. No damage."

"So it was from a sub?"

"Prob-"

There was silence.

"ObDeck?" shouted Henning into the radio. "ObDeck! Private, what's going on?"

He turned to the Private at his console. He did not respond, but rather was writhing on the floor, twitching horribly and grasping for something to hold on to.

"Private!" Henning rushed over to the near-dead man, and dragged him over to the Weapons Deck radio uplink. The entire room was shrouded in a blueish haze. "WeapDeck, can you tell me what in God's name is happening?"

No answer.

Painful screams echoed across the dark water, as more flares soared into the sky. Henning remained unaffected, for some reason, but had to stay where he was and watch as the Private died, lest he be killed by the blue haze.

Alaric was half asleep, dozing in his easy chair. The ballgame was on, volume turned down low. He was absently aware that the door to his office opened and someone was walking towards him.

'Someone had better be dead', he thought. Little did he know....

Prince Vlad was gently shaking him awake. " Alaric, we have a situation."

Coming to full alertness in an instant, Alaric looked at Vlad and knew something was very wrong. " Report!"

" We've been attacked. Appears to be some kind of biological weapon. Not a disease. More like a toxin. But our scientists haven't been able to isolate it. We don't know what it is, so we can't fabricate an antidote. Casualties are mounting. Over 600 dead and incapacitated in Harag Bay, about half that in the Inland Sea. But the attacks aren't over. And while we don't know exactly who launched them, we can probably guess."

" LOKI?"

" I'd put money on it, Alaric. But, it could be anybody. We picked up transmissions out of Comatica that at least two subs had been detected, unidentified."

"Anybody else reporting these bio-attacks?"

"No....nothing yet."

" How'd they get into the Inland Sea? We've got that sewn up tighter than a nun's..........."

" I don't think anyone got in, Alaric. Whatever the mechanism was that delivered the bio-weapon into the atmosphere must have counted on the trade winds picking it up and spreading it across a large area. I'd say that what we're seeing in the Sea is secondary involvment."

The Emperor paused for a second. "OK, I want all CommSats scanning the entire Empire, and if they find ANYTHING out of the ordinary, I want them to auto-lock coordinates, transitioning fire-stats to the OBS, and fire for total destruction. At this point, I'd rather take the chance of friendly-fire than to do nothing."

" OK, we'll get right on it."

Intellegence Minister Tyler Goldstien had just went to his office for a quick session of work on a Saturday. afternoon when his aide walked in. The Minister said, "Good afternoon, Nick."

"Good afernoon sir. But I'm afraid I've got some very disturbing news."

"What is it?"

"Sir, this morning in Comatica and Xeraph unidentifed attackers attacked several naval vessels from those countries with some kind of strange toxin. No scientist has been able to isolate it as of yet. Comatica did catch two unidentifed subsnearby, we think they mabye connected."

Minister Goldstien's face turned white, he gulped, "Nick, I''m going to the palace now."

Minister Goldstien grabbed his umbrella and hat and walked out of his office. His aide followed him.

Emperor Samuel III and his wife, Emperess Heather Hi'Ines of Aust were enjoying there afternoon tea and listening to the sound of rain hitting thw indows, wheren Lord Chamberlain, Alfred de Hessington IV walked in and said, "Sam, Minister Goldstien wishes to speak with you immeadiatly. He says its urgent."

"Very well, Al let him in."

Minister Goldstien walked in and told the Emperor the news.

"Oh sh*t," he muttered, "Al, assemble the Chamber of Deputies now. I want a meeting in one hour!"

"Yes, Sam." he went off right away.

All the various ministers were sitting around and chattering nervously. They all woundered why they were called to a meeting on a Saturday for crying out loud!

The room fell silent when the Emperor entered. He said, "Y'all are probably wondering why I called you here today? I have reciaved news that in ports of our allies, Comatica and Xeraph, an unknown group carried out attacks on sveral of their naval vessels with an unknown toxin. At this time scientists have not been able to isolate it. Comatica's radars picked up two unidentifed subs in the area during the attacks. Admiral Cussler, do we have any subs in the area?"

"Yes your Grace we do, two Virginia's, Percival, and Burlington."

"Admiral, I want those subs to track the unkowns and sink them if necassary."

"Yes Your Grace"

"Charles," he said to his Foreign Minister, 'I want you to contact our ambassador in Xeraph and tell him to tell Emperor Aleric that we shall give any assitance necassary."

"Yes your Grace."

"Very well gentelmen, that is all...for now at least."

A quarter of a light year away, the claxons of the inbound Xeraphian freighter Cnossos sounded throughout the massive ship. Captain Jenkis jumped out of his bunk, sidearm in hand. " What the fuck! Lieutenant! Report!"

Lt. Hollik yelled, " Sir, we're being attacked by an unknown ship. It appears to be a destroyer, Star Class. Wait....my God! The markings look like.....sir! It's a ship of the old Katanan regime! Shit! Another one just appeared! Sir, it's a battle-cruiser from Dark Visions!"

" On screen, lieutenant."

" This is Captain Jenkis of the Royal Xeraphian freighter Cnossos. We are on a peaceful mission to Xeraph. Why are you firing on us?" A second blast rocked the bridge.

An image out of the past appeared on the ship's commscreen. It was Ghengiz T'nittas, former ruler of the Black Katanas, now Warlord of the Essenian Dynasty. He laughed at the expression on their faces.

" So, you recognise me! That is good. You now know who your'e dealing with. But what you and that damned Alaric didn't know is that I still had a handful of the spacecraft from the Katanas and Visions that we 'appropriated' during the Imperium war. And now that you know this....prepare to be boarded."

Jenkis was in a panic. Their cargo was the first shipment of three that was headed to Xeraph......the new, state-of-the-art Arakno-III AI battle units, commonly known as the Spiders. These were the first of the 12 million units bound for points within the Empire. This freighter held just under 4 million units.

The Spiders were a most fearsome weapon. About 7 feet tall, they had six 'legs' for movement and two for weapons. Standard weaponry included dual .35mm Gatling guns. Some were outfitted with lasers, but they were in the next shipment. The Spiders could move at approximately 70miles an hour in transport mode. Battle mode was a bit slower, about 50 mph. Their compact bodies were of a titanium alloy, able to resist ordnance much as an MBT could.

Jenkis pulled himself together. He started shouting orders when two massive explosions shook the huge freighter. When the smoke cleared, he was facing two dozen armored troopers whose insignia identified them as LOKI marines.
Their AK-47 Mark III automatic rifles were pointed at the crew on the bridge. From behind the troopers strode a massive figure clad in the black battle-armor of the Imperial Xeraphian Paratroopers.

Ghengiz grabbed Jenkis by the throat and lifted him six inches off the floor. " I'm here to relieve you of your cargo. They have a new destination.....and it 'aint Xeraph!" He gave a mighty squeeze, and Jenkis was all but decapitated, blood and cartilage spilling onto the deck of the bridge. Ghengiz dropped the still twitching body and turned to Lt. Hollik. " Your'e in charge now, and if you know what's good for you, you'll head this freighter to these coordinates."

Hollik looked at the numbers and his face went ashen. " These are the coordinates for The Grey Phoenix! What are you planning?"

" None of your fucking business, lieutenant. By my reckoning, we'll be there in about a half-hour. I have a 'present' for Prince Vlad."

ooc: Auralinia is a subject nation of the Xeraphian Empire, and it's ruler, King Ricala, is the Director of the Xeraphian Space League. Xeraph had posted, about 3 weeks ago, a thread revamping the military of Xeraph, which was where he stated the manufacturing of 12 million spiders off world, which made it my job to get hem to Xeraph. As I stated above, Xeraph and I had been talking and coming up with this plot. The guy who in RL runs the Dynasty is going to be gone for a couple of weeks, so we both talked him into having a regular war instead of the guerilla thing he was planning. He was going to drag it out for a long time, but most of us didn't seem to be interested in that. So, here we go.

heres what I'm going to do. rather than post every little detail about which of my forces (LOKI) are attacking which country, I'll tell all of you here:

Dynasty allies: Tushia and Baael navies are bombarding coastline of Comatica. 91 ships in 3 formations.

GothReich armor (MBTs) attacking across Camel Desert to hit ladinah and points north and south of lahdinah.

GothReich and Baael aircraft attacking Findan, Tocrowkia, and Black Shadows inland cities. 200 +- bombers per country escorted by 400 fighters.

Leocardian and Pharexian navy bombarding Tocrowkian coast.

the plan is to blitz through comatican/findan/tocrowkian territory and head straight for Xeraphs territory.

the spiders are going to hit grey phoenix, which borders xeraph itself.

" M'lord, a space freighter from Xeraph is requesting an emergency landing. It's coming up on our southern boundaries."

Vlad looked up. " Emergency? Well, give them the okay and get all available emergency vehicles there."

Within minutes, the vast freighter was hovering a few feet over the southern plains, 73 miles from the capitol. Over 100 emergency vehicles in addition to a squadron of FA/18 Wildcats were dispatched to the site.

As they approached, 65 bay doors of the freighter opened and off ramps slid to the ground, disgorging its cargo of Arakno III AI Spiders. As the Spiders hit the ground they started firing on the emergency vehicles.

Within 2 minutes, all of the vehicles were destroyed.

Capt. Mattens radioed a distress call. " All units, we are being attacked by Xeraphian Spiders. I don't know what the hell is going on, but our counter-attack commences in 30 seconds. Inform the Prince. We need help."

The squadron of Wildcats dove on the Spiders, their rockets nailing a couple. But the Spiders returned fire with devastating effect. Aircraft were falling from the sky in alarming numbers.

And now the Spiders altered direction........directly towards the capitol.

Supreme General Khonsu Izakabad watched the situation from miles away. Oh my... We need to intervene... he thought. He contancted Satellite Command.

"This is Khonsu. You are to fire upon the Xeraphian spiders attacking Grey Pheonix using the Rods of God."

"Yes sir. Commencing attack."

The Rods of God, massive spear-like missiles, streaked through the atmosphere and on to the Xeraphian Spiders.

"The Cnossos from NeoGaia was apparently commandeered and routed to The Grey Phoenix. The ship radioed an emergency, and when it landed, all four million Spiders deployed off the ship and destroyed the emergency vehicles and most of the Phoenixian Wildcat squadron. Thy'll be in Edynn in less than an hour. I just gotten further reports that Baael, GothReich, Leocardia, Pharex, and Tushia have attacked multiple targets! Comatica, Findan, Black Shadows, and Tocrowkia have all been attacked."

In the eerie silence that filled the room, Alaric made a simple statement. " John, I want GothReich, Baael, Tushia, Pharex, Leocardia, and the Dynasty reduced to rubble. Six minutes after the Tushian warships began the bombardment of the North Comatican coast, 144 Skorpion fighter-bombers took off from the decks of their carriers and headed for Aredeth. The city had just begun rebuilding after the Imperium war and was not prepared for more bombing.

Commander Cushit of the Tushian task force had received a report from the Baaelian commander. They were headed down the straight that seperated No. Comatic Island from the Mainland. Once situated, they would begin the shelling of the Mainland coastal fortifications and scramble several hundred fighters to hit the Mainland cities.

It was to be a hell of a fight.

Titus was well aware of the situation. He was back from the conference, and this landed right in his lap.

"Category-A CBGs. Five of them. With three escort-battle groups flanking them. Two...CBGs...hit Baael's and Tushia's navies from the south...the others attack their flanks. Not one LOKI ship left. If they retreat, pursue them. If they surrender, slaughter them."

Titus's short, clipped sentences got his furied point across to Senatorat Hencaeus, to whom he was speaking over iChat.

"Hencaeus, get as many freaking Bomber-Wing Groups to Ladinah as physically possible. Beat the hell out of GothReich's armor, and send in the 23rd and 26th Armored divisions in to finish them off. Flanking them. Just because they deserve total annihilation doesn't mean we can make stupid military decisions."

Hencaeus nodded, not particularly eager to say anything to Titus while he was in this state.

"Have the other Carrier-Battle Groups and Invasion Groups meet with West Cedarbrook's task forces in the Barrow Sea and head to all LOKI nations. You hear me? ALL. I'll leave the specifics to you, Senatorat, but I'll tell you that at minimum...AT MINIMUM....I want 200,000 troops, 3,000 tanks, and as much aircraft and artillery as you can muster, to go to EACH of those scumbag jokes of nations. No mercy is to be taken. As far as the world is concerned, there will be no such thing as Leocardia, Baael, Tushia, GothReich, or Pharex by this time Wednesday."

"The entire Comatic military is to get in this game. All forces that aren't attacking the LOKI nations or defending the United Empire are to be sent, with full force and prowess, to Tocrowkia and Findan. I don't know what in God's name is going on in The Grey Pheonix, but Comatica'll stay out of it for now."

Vice-Commander Zhan was pleased with his advance through the desert. The first 225 MBTs would be withing firing range of Ladinah in minutes, the rest would be there in less than a half-hour. He knew that there was little chance of returning home to Gothreich, but he didn't care. He was already dying from the prolonged effects of the venom that was coursing through his body.

He wanted to live just long enough to see his cursed enemies die of the same infection. His 615 MBTs and missile tanks would all be firing .88mm shells and missiles laden with the concentrated venom. Tens of thousands would die.

His manaiacle laugh could be heard over the roar of the tank's engines.

"Senatorat...there are reports of a Baaelian force headed through the Strait of Collekevvi. Please advise."

Hemcaeus absently observed the thickset courier, then said, " Intercept them. What Category-A Carrier-Battle Groups do we have in the area?"

The courier checked his notes. "None, sir. We do have several Category-B CBGs in the area, though. The 5th, 8th, and 9th."

"Send the 9th. Also, scramble two Bomber-Wing Squadrons to soften them up. Flank 'em. There'll be no destruction on Comatic soil this time around."

"Very good, sir. Also, there's a few preliminary attacks on Kassvaline and Aredeth."

Hencaeus grumbled in faint amusement. "Ha...the fools. We got all the major cities locked up so tight in navy and air force units that they'd have to throw their entire military at us to get at 'em. I don't think we have to worry. They'll get exterminated before they can do any appreciative damage on the major cities."

In this war against LOKI, the Comatic military fought with dangerous efficiency. Eager not to repeat the same mistakes of the first war, Comatic sailors and soldiers had been repeatedly and ruthlessly drilled over and over...and it was paying off in the form of LOKI lives. The attacking LOKI naval and aircraft forces had been encircled by Comatic and West Cedarbrook vessels, preventing any reinforcements from making it to the front lines. Salvo after salvo was mercilessly dealt to the LOKI navies.

The Comatics were fighting for a cause. They all had a burning desire to annihilate all of the LOKI's forces, to protect their homeland, seek revenge for the Imperium War, and brutally cut down the hopes and dreams of the LOKI nations.

Simultaneously, forces were releasing assault after assault on the attacking Baael and Tushian forces, and coordinated with West Cedarbrook's movements and attacks, they were dangerously effective. Hundreds of Comatic naval vessels, thousands of Comatic aircraft, and millions of Comatic troops were about to unleash the dreadful fury of the searing hatred that the Comatics had kept bottled up for so long...now, the LOKI nations were very close to receiving the screaming brunt of that wild fury.

The mobilization of the Imperial forces was unlike any that had been accomplished in all of Xeraphian history.

Of the total 155 Xeraphian CBGs, each comprised of 24 vessals, 112 of them were now headed for the various nations of LOKI. In addition, 7 of the WarHammer battle groups were being called from their foreign ports in ViZion, Crossman, Credonia, the Burnsian Desert, Jarridia, Dr. Twist, and Matich to the war. These were the cream of the crop, massive CBGs each containing 38 warships and over 1500 aircraft. The Emperor himself was heading up the Aon Class WarHammer CBG, his own personal flagship taskforce.

Over 12000 aircraft of the Royal Xeraphian Airforce were being scrambled for action in eight enemy nations.

In addition, the combined military units of Auralinia, The Grey Phoenix, Black Shadows and the newly rebuilt Black Katanas were being hurled into the defense of their nations. Nearly 700 warships, 4300 aircraft, and 4000 armored units were on the move.

With the reports of massive devastation coming in from the Phoenixian capitol of Edynn due to the attack of the AI Spiders, Ricala had ordered overwhelming retaliation by his Orbital Battle Platforms against the Spiders. Six Kal'eta class heavy battle cruisers were presently counter-attacking the Spiders with laser cannons and photon torpedoes. Tens of thousands of the Spiders were being destroyed............but there were still millions out there, wreaking havoc throughout the once-gleaming capitol.

Xeraphian and Katanan aircraft were criss-crossing the skies in numerous dogfights with Baaelian and Pharexian opponents over Xeraph and Black Shadows.

Dire news from the Comatican province of Ladinah. GothReichian armored units had fired approximately 1700 shells and missiles against Comatican, Velkyan, and Tocrowkian land forces with devastating effect. The air-borne venom vapors were killing thousands of soldiers, even while the armor of Gothreich were being systematically destroyed.

Aredeth was under siege, mercilessly bombed by Tushian bombers. And Findan was taking somewhat of a beating by the sneak attack of Baaelian aircraft.

It was an Armada. The might of the Imperial Xeraphian military was about to be unleashed.

Alaric was in full battle-dress, mentally going over what he was going to do to Ghengiz if he got his hands on him when his personal line rang. He picked it up, knowing who it had to be. " Alejandro, I've been anticipating your call. I want to make this short and sweet. I'm going to level those bastard countries, and I need your help. I need a thousand bombers blowing the hell outta Baael and Tushia. You'll be backed up by Imperial Rattlesnakes and Vipers. Edynn is just about a lost cause. The Spiders have killed over 65000 civilians and 20000 soldiers. We're ordering an evacuation and are going to nuke the city. There are still 1.5 million of the Spiders rampaging through the city, and if we don't stop 'em there, they'll move into Xeraph and start crossing the islands to Black Shadows. That means they'll be barreling through Duchy Valtane where the peace conference is just winding down. We can't let that happen. Any questions?"

Goth Reich and Baael had chosen a horrible time to attack Tocrowkian airspace. Thousands of RADAR and LADAR warning satiations formed a massive protective net over the continent, and within minutes, over two thousand Raven fighters were scrambled to deal with the threat. Leocardian and Pharexian and chosen an equally bad time to attack Tocrowkia's coast. Anti-Ship missiles were being fired in the thousands. And deep underground, massive rail guns were being loaded with 500-ton shells from miles away and fired toward the coast. The barrels of rail guns were buried deep beneath the ground, and they ended at the coastal walls of the nation. When they left the barrel, the shells were traveling at several kilometers a second, with enough force to punch a hole clean through a capital ship.

Also, only a few miles away, a massive naval task force has been assembled. Consisting of 2 Super-Dreadnoughts, Three Hundred Battleships, Four Hundred Cruisers, Two Hundred Destroyers, Six hundred missile frigates, and almost four hundred attack submarines, the force was more then powerful enough to crush the attacking Navies.

" Alejandro, I've been anticipating your call. I want to make this short and sweet. I'm going to level those bastard countries, and I need your help. I need a thousand bombers blowing the hell outta Baael and Tushia. You'll be backed up by Imperial Rattlesnakes and Vipers. Edynn is just about a lost cause. The Spiders have killed over 65000 civilians and 20000 soldiers. We're ordering an evacuation and are going to nuke the city. There are still 1.5 million of the Spiders rampaging through the city, and if we don't stop 'em there, they'll move into Xeraph and start crossing the islands to Black Shadows. That means they'll be barreling through Duchy Valtane where the peace conference is just winding down. We can't let that happen. Any questions?"

High in the western range of mountains known as The Toothy Grins, Prince Vlad watched as his once-beautiful city was systematically destroyed by the Arakno Spiders. Tens of thousands of his people had been killed and wounded and military losses were running high. A good portion of the Spiders had been destroyed, but there were still close to two million left, and they were headed west, towards the chain of islands that would take them to Black Shadows. These islands were mostly uninhabited, used as vacation spots by people from all over the world. One of the islands was the Duchy of Valtane. If the Spiders were not stopped, they would overrun the Duchy.

" M'lord......we have incoming missiles at 230 miles. ETA, nine minutes."

Vlad hung his head. 'Here they come', he thought. 'They' were several hundred tactical frag-headed missiles launched from Mandalore Prime and Xeraph. Their missiles would finish off the job Pythogria had begun by completely obliterating the remaining Spiders....not to mention turning the greater portion of Edynn into rubble. At least he had persuaded Alejandro and Alaric not to use nukes, as was the original plan.

Pythogria's orbital bombing of the Spiders had an extremely pronounced effect on the Spiders. The bombs were so accurate that relatively little damage had been done to the government center of Edynn. But the frag-heads would compensate in the suburbs.

" M'lord.........." There was a slight waver in the voice of his Senescal, Tryon. Vlad looked at the commscreens and looked with horror on the devastation to his city as the missiles hit the army of Spiders.

Explosion after explosion ripped throught the city, destroying hundreds of thousands of the Spiders. The remaining Spiders would largely been gone in just a few minutes.

But the entire western portion of Edynn was ablaze, a firestorm unlike anything Vlad had seen since the atomic attack on Magi Vampyricus and Vklan all those years ago.

He hung his head in sorrow. He knew it had to be done, but knowing didn't make it any better.

He purposed in his heart to see to it personally that Ghengiz NEVER get the chance to do this again.

Viewing satellite image after horrible image, Titus nearly threw his computer against the wall. Edynn was all but blasted off the side of the world. He knew it was necessary, but it still dramatically reinforced Titus's hatred of Ghengiz and his foolish band of followers.

He turned over to the reports flashing over screens in thw War Room, deep beneath Aredeth. The city itself had taken no damage...but several suburbs were gone in a flurry of bombs and shells. No matter, though. The forces attacking Aredeth and Ladinah wouldn't last long. Almost 1,400 bombers and multi-role aircraft were headed to every corner of the naval fleet beseiging the city, and 7 Category-A CBGs, each with 25 ships, were closing in on the LOKI naval vessels, trapping them in the Bay of Aredeth. With Coastal Defense Groups, each with six defensive ships, blocking any enemy entrance into the city, this made Aredeth an almost impenatrable fortress.

Incessant bombing raids, by regiments of 200 bombers, were launched one after another on the armor attacking Ladinah. Coming up on the backside of the GothReich MBT force were about 1,500 Comatic tanks and artillery. However, this left a varitable open hole in the north flank at the front of the attacking LOKI armor. In that area, towns were steamrolled; but herein lay a controversial Comatic tactic. The generals hoped that the armor in the north would turn southward, in an attempt to clear a better path for the south flank of the MBT force. The HBT, Comatica's sleeping giants, would pounce, and hit the armor's flank with their heavy armaments.

Aeon AFB, Tree Hugging Lesbians, 0800 Hours

Aeon AFB was alive with activity. With the recent attack on their new allies in GAPTS, THL was expecting they were next. President Roderica was determined to not let that happened.

"We have just received a message from the President...Nuclear action has been authorized. Repeat, Nuclear action has been authorized!"

A commander yelled over the various reports and readings.

"Now receiving activation codes..."

Reported one of the station operators. Over the com, a voice read:

"Alpha-5-6-9-November-Foxtrot-5-2-2"

Several of the operators repeated the code into their consoles.

"Enable the missiles."

The commander stated. She grabbed her key from her breast pocket, and inserted it into a large console. Three other officers did the same. They all turned the keys at the same time.

"Enabled."

Reported one of the station operators. The operators put in various coordinates before they launched a massive Nuclear strike, using both land-based and orbital Nuclear ICBMS against the Essesian Dynasty and her allies. All in all, over 6,000 Nuclear missiles were now heading toward the Dynasty, GothReich, and the others, aimed at military bases, ICBM launch pads, and cities....

Scott looked up in the ceiling. "Deploy our Leocardian Terrorists Forces, oh, and "Nightfire" Stealth Units. We're going to use our nuclear arsenal. So, make them ready. Leocardia's security level is DANGER."

Ghengiz, still in the commandeered Xeraphian freighter, watched as his forces and those of his allies were being cut to pieces. ICBMs were on their way to all LOKI nations, LOKI fleets were slowly but surely being sunk, and the combined airforces of LOKI were being shot out of the sky. He issued his final orders.

" All LOKI commanders, this is Ghengiz T'nittas. Though our glorious armed forces have done an outstanding job in the attempt to eliminate the inferior nations of our world, we are fighting a losing battle. At this point, almost 1/3 of our effective war machine has been either destroyed or rendered useless. Nuclear ICBMs have been fired at all of our nations, and so we have less than one-half hour to expend our remaining strength. I am therefore ordering all intercontinental, tactical, and ballistic cruise missiles launched. Nine hundred twenty one missiles armed with a total of 400 gallons of venom will accomplish devastating biological harm to the nations of Tocrowkia, West Cedarbrook, Comatica, Xeraph, Tree Hugging Lesbians, Pythogria, and Findan. The effects of the venom will last for days over these nations.

My final orders for our fleets......fire at will. Spread as much death and destruction as possible. Engage the enemy at all costs. Scramble all remaining fighters and launch all bio-missiles at all possible land targets.

And my orders for our troops: fight to the death! Ask no quarter and give none! Anyone who resists you, kill.

You will all be remembered as true patriots, fighting for our way of life."

Ghengiz switched off the commchannel. He had one more attack to perform.

" Captain, set coordinates for Xeraph. I have one more surprise for Alaric."

The Tushian commander listened to the Warlords address once more. He was sure that the commanders and generals of the LOKI allies had heard it too. Well, if we are to die, we might as well go down fighting.

" Ensign, we are in a fight to the death. Inform all Tushian, Baaelian, Leocardian, GothReichian and Pharexian commanders that they are hereby all on their own. They are to fight their individual battles. Perhaps some portion of our alliance will get away and survive to fight another day. Our homelands will soon be reduced to nuclear rubble, so if anyone currently fighting manages to get away, we must all meet at the proscribed island you were informed of in the Warlord's warroom. Tell them that I wish them all well and perhaps we will meet another day."

The enormous naval task force in Pharex heard the news, and that the Prime Minister ordered them to face their guns toward Pharex. "Good lord heaven... Good bye Pharex." Admirial Hogun said right before he grabbed the telecom mic and said: "Fire at will."

The guns of all the ships fired, missiles were shot aimlessly at the Pharexian lands, and aircrafts from the Leocardian Carriers sprang out bombing buildings from air. Flames bursted, but the ships continued to fire.

"Weapons Deck, Receive coordinates," shouted Major Henning into a radio uplink to the wepaons deck. He was placed in command of the CES Marvella, a missile and ordnance ship. Outfitted with a spectacular array of deadly weapons, it was designed for immediate and complete destruction. The LOKI fleets had apparently figured this out too, so now these vessels were the target of many an assault. They were especially vulnerable, due to the many tons of gunpowder and TDI aboard.

"The sub is at Alpha-Sierra, numbers 23-56-32-90_66-51-47-47! Take out the vessel, at a depth of 15 feet! ASW missile, deploy at my command!"

Various other commanders on the ship were barking commands to the weapons decks, ordering them to fire anti-shipping AaSmA's, anti-aircraft flak rounds, and skimmer missiles, which fly very close to the surface of the sea to prevent easy defense.

The LOKI sub on which Henning had had his eye moved into range. "Layer 3rd RADAR at those coordinates. Approximately 35 seconds before the vessel is in 3-layer RADAR range."

The sub inched closer, obviously aware of the carnage possible within it's crew. He waited...

"Deploy ASW missile! Watch for reports!"

Henning had no time to see if the sub had been hit. The farthest reaches of the RADAR indicated a massive airborne presence, most likely dozens of bombers, headed towards the Comatic fleet at 900 miles per hour.

"ObDeck, extend single-layer RADAR 20 miles."

This revealed the true strength of the attack headed his way. "Weapons Deck-switch to channel 36-Echo. Airborne attack, W By WNW 33 miles, coming in at 900 mph. Ready AA missiles!"

Waiting again for the enemy to come in range, Weapons Deck replied to Henning. "Confrimed; 8 SAMs readied for deployment...other SAM ships alerted of assault. Deploy on your command."

Henning stood idle for 10 more seconds. "Deploy!"

Thousands of RADAR and LADAR warning satiations formed a massive protective net over the continent, and within minutes, over two thousand Raven fighters were scrambled to deal with the threat. Reports were coming very fast now. All LOKI nations were bracing for the massive nuclear strike launched by Tocrowkia. The conventional strike by Xeraph had already taken a gruesome toll....the Tocrowkians were the icing on the cake.

All LOKI forces were taking a beating. The fleets and armored divisions were at 23% operating efficiency, and about 2/3 of the LOKI aircraft had been shot out of the sky.

The Xeraphian freighter was headed at Warp 8 for Xeraphia, the capitol city of Xeraph. Ghengiz had systematically executed all of the Xeraphian crew, and so now it was just him and his six henchmen aboard. The plan was to blast through Xeraphian defenses and slam the freighter into Alaric's Obelisk, the seat of Xeraphian power. The Obelisk had a base of 1/2 mile square, and reached up to a tapering point 2,144 feet from the ground. It was set right at the edge of the cliff overlooking the Inland Sea.

Ghengiz knew that he was going to have to be extraordinarily lucky to get that far. But, he was going to die anyway, so he was going for it.

Loosing the Spiders in Edynn hadn't had the effect he had hoped. Only 1/3 of the city had been destroyed, and all of the Spiders were now rendered inoperable.

He turned to his officers. " Men, this is it. LOKI has lost the war. Our homelands will be radioactive wastelands in just under an hour. Our quest for Empire has once again been thwarted. I would suggest that you make peace with whatever god you call upon."

He turned back to the bridge console, noting that the board was lighting up with incoming missiles. The ship could take a number of hits before the shields gave out. He was betting that the shields would hold for another 6 or 7 minutes.

As he was calculating impact ETA, he became aware of a tingling sensation, and a fiery blue oval appeared around him. " No..............................!"

" Rotten snake-eyed bastard! Thought he could outwit me! Lieutenant, you got a lock on Ghengiz?"

The lieutenant looked at Alaric and grinned. " Yes sir. Got him right where we want him."

" Good", Alaric exclaimed. " Beam him here and lock all missiles on that freighter. I want that thing destroyed while it's still over the Sea."

The freighter was visible now. In another minute it would be crashing into the Obelisk. Over 100 SAMS were streaking towards it. It was going to be close.

A soft, high-pitched whine filled the room,and Ghengiz T'nittas, Warlord of The Essenian Dynasty, appeared in the middle of a fiery oval. Immediately, Alaric's Palace Guard tackled him, disarming him in the process. He fought like a madman. It took four guards to hold him down.

At t-minus 20 seconds to impact, the freighter exploded a half mile from Xeraphia, breaking apart and falling into the Sea. Many fiery pieces impacted against the sheer wall of the cliffs.

Alaric turned to Ghengiz, who was bleeding from several minor wounds. " So, uncle. At last we meet. I've half a mind to kill you where you stand, but I want to make an example of you." To the guards he said, " Take him to a holding cell. If he give you ANY trouble, kill him."

Imperial Naval Task-Force 6.9, Northern Ocean 75 nm from Croon, Findan

Imperial Naval Task-Force 6.9 was on a patrol of the Northern Ocean looking for hostile fleets. In command was Commodore Sarah Bell. Her flagship was the superdreadnaught Implacable, with the Task-Force were four Nimitz class aircraft carriers, ten Ticonderoda class crusiers,
five Areligh Burgh class destoyers, two Wasp class amphibious assualt ships, and eleven patrol boats.
Radarman First Class, Ed Totter wished he could light a cigarette, but it was a dark ship. He yawned and drank some more coffe from his stryofoam cup next to his battlestation. Suddenly he saw aircarft on his screen. He called his CO in, "Sir look I count tweny, no thirty, tons of bogies on the radar. We don't habve any air patrol out that way do we?"

Lieutenant, junior grade Phillip Montano said, "No. Anyway we only send on or two planes on patrol at any given time. Looks like LOKI has finally decided to attack us, I better tell the Commodore."

Montano ran to the Commodore's cabin.

The Commodore was reading a biography of Admiral Mahony, the winner of the Battle of Deloun Bay and driniking a mug of red tea when Montano knocked on her door. "Come."

"Mam'am!" Montano saluted, "We have picked up several dozen bogies approaching from the north!"

"Sound the General alarm. get the F-35's in the air. Also notify the Air Force they're going to want some of this action."

"Yes, mam'am!"

350 F-35's took off from the carriers.

Brigadier General Thomas Jackson was breifing the men of his wing. "Men LOKI has finally launched an atatck on our beloved nation, we are the first line of defense. We will meet our enemy and the Goddes shall bless us with victory. Our enemy is approaching from the north over the Northern Ocean. Coe on we better get moving we don't want those Navy a**holes finishing them off before us real men get there right?"

There was some nervous laughter, "No sir!"

"Well lets get going then"

All across Findan 2000 F-35's took off and headed for the enemy planes.
