"I need extra propulsion on engines 2 and 3, be on guard, I expect they've found us by now, confrontation is near." This was Admiral Joseph Holtz, admiral of the rebel fleet, and captain of the Birth of the Federation.

"Yes sir! Propulion adjusted, I have Captain Aramaki from the Power of Justice ready for you"
"Open the comm."
The large holoscreen instantly lit up with Captain Aramaki's face, behind him was the viewport showing the two mighty battleships: Cruik Dawn, and Istas Thunder.

"This is suicide Joe, you know that, I know that."
"...some battles are won before they are fought, superior leadership and discipline overcome superior weaponry. I am confident in our success."
"Just you remember Holtz, it's not your ship they'll try to pick off first, then see how you like it when their fleet is pointing all the guns at you!"

The holoscreen suddenly went blank. Of the twenty-one ships in the fleet, one was a star destroyer, 15 were armed with projectile weaponry and standard armor, and the other five armed with energy weapons and shields...

The Hydra scout fleet was gliding through Hyperspace. She was commanded by Admiral Abriel Dashnu of the Cluve royal family. At his command were fifteen Victory Class Destroyers which packed enough firepower to take out a Star Destroyer in a single punch along with all its fighter components. In support were ten Frontlineships and twelve Rambirds. The Rambirds glided through space much like a shark would swim through the ocean with its long black fins. The body was flawlessly black and swayed back and forth as it glided through Hyperspace.

Dashnu sat in the command chair of one of the destroyers with his head resting on a fist. The fleet had been monitoring and scanning the areas of space they had passed since leaving the borders of the Empire.

"Time to next target scan."

"We are approaching our target destination now, Admiral."

The Abriel raised his head a little. "Begin scanning."

At first there was nothing to see but blank and empty space. That all changed soon as they began picking up radio transmissions and quickly energy discharges.

"Sir! It seems we have stumbled across a battle."

"Are the participants known?"

"Recon reports that there are five ships from Sephrioth and one appears to be their flagship. Their adversaries are unknown to us at this time though."

"Oh, they seem pretty serious though. Perhaps we should pay a visit."

"Yes sir. Should we jump in with the Sephrioth ships?"

"No. Let's make a formal entrance away from the battle. We'll decide who to aid once we are there. I want the Frontlineships to stay in Hyperspace though."

"Yes sir."

The Abh stood and drew his command saber. His blue cape billowed and settled back down after the one swift fluid motion. "Make the jump."

Twenty-seven ships in total came out through five separte jump gates. There procession was long and broad with smaller black ships mingled in with the larger and greater destroyers. They stood there on the brink of battle watching and waiting.

The chief of staff leaned over his screen to view the ship layout in Hyperspace. "Yes sir. They are in position and locked on to our signal. Also we have members of the First Phial on board every destroyer should things get nasty."

"Good. D'Hara has proven its worth time and time again."

"Indeed sir."

"Alright. Communications, send welcoming message out to everyone."

The communications officer swiveled back around in his chair. "Yes sir."

Greetings from the Abh Empire to all participants of this nice little skirmish. We have come to lend aid in this little fight if there any willing to accept such an offering. The Empire has been without conflict for some time and my men need fresh blood. This would be as good a time as any to put them through the gauntlet. Takers?

Captain John Paul was definately more experienced than the Admiral, both in total combat experience and in wisdom. He knew that with an additional 12 Sephriothian Star Destroyers, they didn't stand a chance, but it was his duty as an officer to carry out orders.

"Admiral Holtz, sir! Have you picked those ships up?"
"Yes...yes I have, and?"
"You're not worried? I doubt 12-inch guns can penetrate any shield with the funds we have..."
"Just lay down supressive fir..."

Several large explosions rocked the Birth of the Federation, as its engines were directly hit by at least 18 of the 70 quantam torpedoes...

"FIRE NOW! ALL SHIPS IN THE FLEET, FIRE ON THE SEPRIOTH'S BANE!"
"...yes sir...Admiral sir!"

Soon the space around the rebel fleet filled with light as every weapon, down to the puniest machine gun on the destroyers, opened fire on the Seprioth's Bane

"Looks like the Birth is in trouble...alright, defense group Zulu, take the port side of the Birth of the Federation and launch all the anti-fighter defenses you have, we don't want those storm troopers coming in. Power of Justice and Murska Line, cover the aft of the Birth. Everyone clear?"

As the Captain of the Mount Schezna said these last words, all of his subordinates acknowledged. The ships in their respective positions...without the battle, the glare off of the black hulls of the battleships would make them seem less deadly and more beautiful...

"Mount Schezna to the Birth of the Federation, we're going to go to the rear and load up on explosives, if everything goes wrong....we'll give em' a taste of their own medicine..."

"This is Captain Aramaki of the Power of Justice to Captain Villa of the Mount Schezna....you can't be serious can you?"

"Oh I am, if they make it onto that ship it's all over for us, we can only do what we can to at least help everyone else make it out of here alive..."

"T...I...Thank you Villa...from all of us...Aramaki out."

And as the insertion pods made their way to the Birth of the Federation, all the ships surrounding it re-directed their secondary weapons fire from the Seprioth's Bane to the pods, while the Mount Schezna docked with the Faith Park to load itself full of explosives...

The Nova Shot had cut through the Faith Park like it was nothing, shredding the ship in two, while the Mount Schezna just completely exploded. sending debris flying into the adjacent rebel ships...

"This is the Urez Memorium, if we don't hyper-jump out of here now, we're gonna' die!"

"Stay in your battle formation that is a direct order, keep firing on the Seprioth's Bane, their shields have to come down sooner or later!"

"Birth of the Federation here, all ships report in!"

"This is the Ryker Crater here, we've sustained heavy damage, our engines have shut down."

"Mount Lambert here, as you can probably see from your little star destroyer over there, there's a huge crack in the side of the ship, oxygen loss is at 23 per cent."

"Goldberg Obelisk here, ion cannons are not responding, we're gonna' ram Seprioth's Bane, all ships, cover us."

"Roger that Goldberg Obelisk, this is Red Skies, we'll run a'side you, cover you from that...super fire thingy they have over there."

Several rebel ships were now pouring more ammunition to the same spot on the Seprioth's Bane, they had to take down the smaller ships to survive a direct assault on the Doombringer. While the Birth of the Federation was being boarded by several of the raiding parties.

The Abh crew sat back and watched the fireworks show obviously being ignored by their offer to help anyone involved. Admiral Dashnu's chief of staff Thereasa walked up to him and sighed. "It seems that no one wishes for our aid, Thereasa."

She was only thirty years old which by Abh stances was fairly young and yet she had risen to become chief of staff of one of the royal family members. Her blue hair ran all the way down her back but stray strands managed to find their way infront of her face. She pushed one back and hooked it behind her ear. "Well whoever Sephrioth is figthing, will not last much longer without any type of support."

The young Abriel smiled. "So true. Are we out of range?"

"Just barly sir."

"Good. Send word to the Frontlineships and inform them to open individual jumpgates and launch a single volley of space mines on the Sephrioth fleet. I want our fighters to scrape the pods off of the other fleet. If no one wants our help, we can at least make it last as long as possible by evenning the fight."

"Are you sure that is wise?"

The Abh's smile quickly faded. "It may not be wise but it will certainly have an effect on the battle."

Thereasa bowed. "As you wish my Lord."

In the midst of battle, a new voice was heard as ten separate tears in the fabric of space opened to reveal a barrage of mobile mines being fired point blank at the Sephrioth fleet. Each ship was capable of launching 50 mobile mines which would have equalled 500 mines, however these mines were a different breed. If they detected any energy discharge in their direction or with in close proximity, they would divide into three separate mines. So the enemy ran the risk of turning 500 projectiles into 1500 with equal impact.

Every destroyer opened its fighter bay doors and unleashed the screaming fury of their Star Cutters. The fighters raced to the Vuhifellian States ships and began blasting away with their Heavy Neutron Cannons at the pods that were beginning to land on the ships.

"They've taken out two more of our ships, sir, we have three ion cannons in the fleet left, I suggest you use them..."

As Captain Aramaki closed comms, he witnessed several fighters firing upon the landing pods destined for the flagship....

"Sir, unknown forces detected, looks like they're friendlies though."

"If they're friendlies then find out where they came from, we need more support!"

Several plasma blasts and tracer fire filled this area of space. Such was the exchange of fire, or lack thereof, of firepower between the two fleets. Back in the Birth of the Federation, however, Admiral Holtz got on the comms to find out who was helping his fleet.

"This is Admiral Holtz onboard the Birth of the Federation to unknown fighters, who are you, we need more support!"

"This is the Holy Sanctum, took us a while to open the hanger doors, but we did it, we're launching all our fighters now, protect us guys!"

"You heard him, Goldberg Obelisk you hurry it up and ram that enemy ship!"

"20000 yards and closing sir!"

"Dangit! We need more time, Power of Justice, get on all frequencies, we need help!"

"Already on it sir! Attention unknown fighters, send more if you have any!"

"That's a real nice way of asking! This is the Honor Sword here, we're opening ion fire on the Seprioth's Bane, give us thirty seconds to charge!"

A blue glow surrounded the Honor Sword as it prepared to fire its ion cannons, while more 12-inch gun slugs kept firing towards the Seprioth's Bane, they needed to take down the smaller ships to at least survive.

The squadron leader of the fighter group had twin blue stripes painted on each wing. "This is commander Greil of the Abh Empire lending assistance. I suggest turning a few thousand meters to your right to view the small fleet that has arrived."

A small light began beeping on his counsel. The Abh peered down to view the fighter formation that was coming in. "Hold on, we have inbound enemy fighters. Don't worry they appear to be only droids. We'll take care of this and hold them off. Fangs 2 and 3 are with me. I want the rest to divide up and take out their flanks."

An all around coms came back. "Yes sir."

Dashnu watched the marvelous display of his fighters taking out the landing pods. "Nothing better than battle on such a wondrous level."

"Excuse me sir."

"Yes Thereasa what is it?"

"It seems that the fleet that we have just lent aid to is requesting more support from us."

He raised an eyebrow slightly. "Interesting. And what do you think?"

"I believe that we should lend them our support and be finished with this battle as soon as possible. With our added firpower, we should greatly turn the tide of this conflict."

"And so you are right. Give the Rambirds their coordinants and instruct them to mingle in with the new allied fleet. The rest of us will take up position above the battle."

"Yes sir."

The twelve Rambirds that had accompanied the Abh fleet shimmered and disappeared. Almost instantaneously they reappeared among the Vuhifellian ships with their noses pointed forward ready for their next orders.

Fifteen Victory Class Destroyers fired their gravimetric engines and moved into position over the battlefield with the Admiral's destroyer in the lead.

500 Star Cutter's poured into the Sephrioth fighters. Their neon green Heavy Neutron cannons lit up the darkness of space with constant streams of fire.

"This is the Goldberg Obelisk, 10000 years and closing, and...holy God! That fleet! Find out who they are!"

"Friendlies, this is Admiral Holtz, all ships in the rebel fleet open fire on the Bane once again, try to weaken its shield for the Goldberg Obelisk to get through"

"Yes sir, Aramaki here, we're gonna' spray the area with vulcan fire."

"Roger that, this is Falcon 1, Falcon Strike Team, please stand by, I'ma fly by the Bane to have a closer look."

"Roger, Falcon 2 on standby"

"Falcon 3 through 9 on standby"

"Falcon 10 through 19 on standby"

"Falcon 20 on standby"

"Roger that, Holy Sanctum, I suggest you head into the protective little bubble of our allies. Whoever's helping us out there, thanks"

The Holy Sanctum proceeded towards the allied ships, while the out-dated fighters of the rebel squadron flew towards the Bane and fired several missiles into its shield.

Flames engulfed the Goldberg Obelisk as all 10 torpedoes penetrated the steel armor, though the ship was heavily damaged, momemtum was still carrying the mighty super-cruiser towards the Bane, with the Captain dead, comms officer Nagase took over the helm.

"This is communications officer 1st Lieutenant Keike Nagase, I am taking command of the ship, 3000 yards and closing, we're ramming the Bane. Ship is damaged 89 percent, we have 3 engines left, life support if failing, ammunitions room has ignited..."

The Goldberg Obelisk now blew up, as a result of one of the quantam torpedoes destroying the entire ship's ammo supply in one shot...

"Now we're down to 16 ships, the odds aren't looking so good..."

All the ships in the fleet were now firing several rounds, blasts, and bullets into space randomly, trying to find the Bane, while the Doombringer was suddenly the main target for the two battleships in the fleet: Cruik Dawn and Istas Thunder.

As the Cruik Dawn prepared to fire another salvo of 12-inch slugs, it immediately burst into flames, the lights of the engines dimmed from bright blue, to green, to red, to black...one final message was sent out from the Captain, though the voice was inaudible, the ship cracked in two before everyone's eyes...

After that...the Istas Thunder suffered almost the same fate, if only it hadn't been completely blown apart by the blast...

"Dammit! Aramaki! Take my flank! All the remaining ships, be on the lookout for the Bane, we've got 14 ships left people, we're up against 5, we can win this!"

"Screw this Holtz, you're going to get us all killed! This is Captain Aramaki of the Power of Justice, requesting permission from Sephrioth forces for the surrender of my ship!"

"Dammit Aramaki! If you surrender we'll fire at the Power of Justice! You know that!"

Thereasa walked up to the bridge with an update of the battle. "Admiral, it appears the fleet that we are aiding is trying to ram one of Sephrioth's main ships."

The Abriel smiled. "Now that is a true mentality for battle. I like their thinking."

"Unfortunatly that ship is under heavy fire and needs support."

Dashnu struck a pensive pose. "Give the order for six destroyers to initiate level 2 firing. I want their fire to focus at that ramming ship's target. Let's see if we can't take down it's shields and blow a nice hole for them. The rest of us will prepare for an all out attack that is cloaked behind the ship."

"Yes sir."

Six Victory Class Destroyers went silent for a moment. Their outter hull lights dimmed and went out. At first it appeared that they had simply ran out of power but then it began. Each ship hummed with energy as three prongs and the nose began to glow with bright hot yellow energy. The three prongs of energy began to grow until they reached the nose then as one they screamed out forward. Each one had the ability to destroy a Star Destroyer with a single blast with this attack and six had focused their attack on one ship.

The Rambirds had received orders of their own kind. They would take out any missle that was headed for the rebel fleet. Any missle fired would not get far.

The Power of Justice simply glowed purple as the torpedoes hit it, and visual distortion was clearly apparent, as a bright flash of light engulfed the entire ship, by the end, a large orange explosion had taken the place where Aramaki's ship once resided...

"ARAMAKI! Dammit! All ships open fire on the Doombringer, forget the Bane! Aramaki won't die for nothing!"

The twelve Rambirds that were mingled in with what was left of the rebel fleet saw their new prey come into view. This was what they had been built for all along. Each Rambird picked out its own destroyer. The sleek black nose divided in two and slid open to reveal an enormous ion cannon. Each Rambird fired a series of shots before closing the doors.

They then glided back to get a good running speed. There was a pause for a brief moment and then they were off faster than the speed of darkness. They aimed straight for the command bridges of every destroyer as it was a well known weak-spot. Every Rambird was reinforced with hybrid steel and crystalline armor covered in regenerative bio-armor. This made the ship one mean monster that could easily tear through a ship's hull.

As several of the ships formed a defense parimeter, the cruisers of the fleet gathered around the Birth for protection, a last ditch effort to save the fleet...

The fighters that had dealt with the droid fighters peeled off and made their way back to the assembled fleet. "All wings form up. We are going to take out their torpedoes. 500 fighters against 25 torpedoes should be more than enough to take care of the problem."

Every Star Cutter was now flying over the incoming missles. "Alright, drop down and take them out on the first pass."

"Yes sir."

Every fighter tilted and dropped from above firing their Heavy Neutron Cannons into the ordance. The darkness was lit by the intense neon green light.

Dashnu looked down at the tactical display map. "Order all Frontlineships to fire a volley at the ship from which the torpedoes just fired from."

Jump gates from Hyperspace opened up all around the warrior king. Wave after wave of mobile mines poured into the single ship each carrying an anti-matter warhead.

Despite the Abh's fighter's best efforts however, several torpedoes made it through the defense grid and immediately destroyed the cruiser Halcyon and crippled the destroyer Dragoon tearing a huge gash in the port side of the ship....

"Dammit! Ayanami! Do something! Lay suppressive fire!"

"Roger that Admiral Holtz, this is the Erusean Heart to the rest of the fleet, lay down fire on all enemies, evenly distribute fire! Target the same point on the ships!"

"Roger that. Kilinin Sun here, we have an ion blast ready to fire..."

"This is Admiral Holtz, fire the ion blast."

"Understood, firing all ion cannons now sir!"

The Kilinin Sun proceeded to fire all its ion cannons at once, emitting a huge blue glow, before it fired and pushed the ship back several hundred meters.

"Admiral, we've detected cloaked ships circling to our backs and there seems to be a ship that is dead in space."

Dashnu rested his forearms on the railing. "Send five Rambirds in to finish off the dead ship while the Frontlineships prepare for another volley."

"Yes sir."

Five Rambirds shimmered and disappeared to reappear moments later next to the dead ship in space. They followed same suit of tearing away the ship's shields and driving hard through the core of the ship to blow it away.

The remaining ships with the exception of the Holy Sanctum, which was inside the Abh's protective bubble, were instantly destroyed, with the exception of the Birth of the Federation, which was not targeted, only waves of soldiers were boarding the ship now...

Dashnu and his Chief of Staff Thereasa sighed as they watched more ships going down in a blaze of glory.

"Recall the fighters. I don't want to lose any men to this."

"Yes sir."

"Senior Officer, get me a communications link to the rebels."

This is Admiral Dashnu of the Abh Empire. We will keep your ship protected while we strongly urge you to evacuate this edge of space.

The Birth was now turning the Holy Sanctum, while the Sanctum was attempted to lodge a tow cable onto the Birth while remaining inside the protective bubble of the allied fleet.

The Abh fleet hunkered close and basically formed a wall blocking off any further attacks from the Sephrioth fleet. Any missle fire would be covered by the ships' defense grids easily enough with overlapping fields of fire.

"Sir, storm troopers 40 meters from the bridge, corridor A-1!"

"Engage alert status Alpha!"

"Yes sir!"

With red lights beginning to flash, a weapons rack containing several assault rifles came up from the floor in the bridge, with the main entrance being blocked off by a 1 inch thick aluminum door.

In engineering...the storm troopers had managed to overcome security forces and gain control to the security over-ride switch....

As Admiral Holtz and the rest of the bridge's crew saw the storm troops cutting through the aluminum door, the majority of them picked up assault rifles and began firing through the door.
