The SS-1B 'SCUD A' short-range ballistic missile will shortly be deployed in the Dictatorship of Amrexica

Amrexica City, Amrexica -- The Government of the Dictatorship of Amrexica today announced the development and deployment of short-range ballistic missiles in a continuing move towards strengthening the armed forces of the country.

The Department of Defence outlined a plan to construct and deploy a total of 200 missiles and launchers based on the blueprints of the SS-1B 'SCUD A' Missile developed by the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

Speaking at a meeting of the Cabinet yesterday, Secretary of State for Defence Androvich Dezkoy claimed that this would be, "a great step for the Amrexican Military."

It is not clear on future plans for these missiles, however the recent increase in uranium mining by private companies operating in Amrexica suggests the likelihood of active missiles being deployed with nuclear warheads at a future time.

The first missile is expected to become operational in 1 NS Year (1 RL Day), and then to achieve full strength 6 NS Years later.

Whilst construction of the missiles is being undertaken by several Amrexican companies, we would like to inquire as to the possibility of employing Imperial Nod busineses in the development and construction of facilities that would allow us to greatly speed up the development of Atomic Warheads to place on these weapons. As the SCUD has a very limited distance of fire, you can be assured that these weapons are only to be used in the defence of our homeland from attack, rather than the imperialism associated with larger, strategic weapons.

We would therefore like to contract your specialists to develop and construct a Refinement Facility for the extraction of Uranium 235 from Uranium 238, and also wish for assistance in the development on an Air Pressure Detonator for altering the altitude detonation of our missiles. We would like to enquire as to how quickly these requests can be met, so as to start manufacturing warheads in the least time possible.

Due to excessive amounts of uranium mines in the nod empire we can deliver an almost inexhaustable amount to the development of such weapons. We feel that such devices and other material enhancements at the earliest could be met is by the end of the coming month. On advisment by missile engineers nuclear capabilities can be finalised within 2.5 months. This may seem like a long time but on the contery this is exceptionally quick paced. It would also be advisable that this assistance be kept secret from the international community. Whilst the Empire of Nod has magnificent defense force, other would be aggressors may attempt to stop you enriching uranium and thus building weapons.

If you are agreeable to the length of assitance from our scientists and engineers, perhaps we would be able to exchange embassies in our capitals (and prevent unwanted notice from outside intereference)
