The Consolidation

The Mandaus Union

Walter Daltrey lay face-up on the linoleum, a neat hole punched through his forehead. Premier Jackson Aullemiller stood very still, gazing at the dead body. Several secret service agents stood transfixed around him, stunned at what they had just seen.

"Sir..." said Agent Baxter slowly, careful not to make any sudden movements. "You didn't have to shoot him. We were about to apprehend him."

Jackson came to, and lowered his Glock 9mm, grinning slightly. "Yes, I did. As soon as he had said 'not allowing PriorCom to sponsor your PS Party in 2012's election is ridiculous', I knew he was one of the capitalists sent from Aredeth.

Agent Baxter raised an eyebrow. "We'll call the Socialist Police to get this body cleaned up, and let you get back to your work, Mr. Premier."

Jackson strode, relaxed, down the hallway of the Premier Mansion, his hands cupped behind his back. Several ids were battling in his mind, but he maintained his external composure, as he had practiced. Inside, he was screaming.

Breaking from Comatica was a grave mistake. They'll only just take us back, said one voice.

Another, more senible voice entered. No, listen to me: Communism is the best thing to ever happen to Mandaus. Don't abandon the Protective Socialism Party. It will do the Union good.

Jackson had learned to tune these voices out, as they were usually incoherent, contradictory, and sometimes demonic. But today, when he held the most stress, they made sense. They offered him solice to the outside world as they fought each other viciously in his mind.

The capitalist voice faded into the distance, but the socialist voice remained a strong presence.

Communism works. You hate capitalism. You will listen to me.

Jackson aqueisced to the demands, and turned to a deserted stairwell. He sat down carefully, still concentrating on the nagging presence in his mind.

Greeting, nations of the world;

I am Premier Jackson Aullemiller, elected leader of the Mandaus Union. We are a newly forged socialist union, all once bound in the shackles of oppression and extreme capitalism under the rule of Comatica. We have since revolved, and so have the four other states in Mandaus. Section by section, we broke away, and joined in unity, determined to be the opposite of our former oppressors. We have made economics easier for all of our citizens, and our people protected from supression. Under the rule of the Protective Socialist Party, we feel the Mandaus Union will prosper, and connect freely with the international community.

Good day.
