OOC: WoD NS?

I love the World of Darkness series of RPG's from White Wolf; I've loved them since I first came to know Vampire the Masquerade; I loved the Dark Ages, I loved the Victorian Age, I loved it through to the very fires of Gehenna.
As of late, I've come to respect Vampire the Requiem; but to adore Werewolf the Forsaken, and Mage the Awakening. And as such, I've been wondering if there exist out there, nations who would be interested in RPing the secret side of life; be it old or new WoD; there would be a sort of shadow RP, acting throughout the world; Mages weaving their spells, Werewolves fighting the Shadow; Vampires shoring out some form of existence in the cold, dark night.
Am I alone? Or would others be interested in such a concept?

Ah, no Chrono, I to would be interested in such an RP. I take it the RPO would be taking places around the N.S. world? And if so. I like the idea. You can sign me up.

I take it your familiar with the material? Knowing exactly what you're familiar with would be good.
Feh. The old Vampire is far better (and, as you already know, I use it already on NS. The RPs just tend to fall through...).

I know; but I can at least see the few merits that Requiem has; and I really really like new Mage and Werewolf...
*HEAD EXPLODES*
YES! I'll be in. I currently play WoD, Mage Ascension, Werewolf, Vampire rules.

Well, I'm not interestedin RPing, but perhaps the jungles or capital of Pythogria could be a good setting? You'd have soldiers/police to deal with if you're in my capital though, and animals and rangers in the jungle.

World of Darkness is a modern tech, city type setting. Its really complex and unless I show you like 500 pages of the rules and background information you won't get it.
Seriously....World of Darkness is about the supernatural world that exists all around us, but is being supressed by the Technocracy (the dominate power in the world, through reason and laws...Aka Technology) and the other forms of magic which were once arrogant are struggling to survive.
Basically the CIA, MIB, government, cooperations, scientists and every person you know doesn't believe in magic or could kill you. Also with a nasty thing called Paradox which can kill a mage for using vulgar magic (like a fireball...or exploding things).
-----------------------------
Awakening is part of the WoD for humans....but to be most potent and dangerous would be in the hands of an orphaned child of the hollow ones. That or Cult of Ectasy. I doubt you're going to have many technocrats or order of hermes in this WoD.

And thats not even touching on the vampiric underworld of the Camarilla or the Sabbat, or the great cosmic struggle between Wyrm, Weaver and Wyld, in which the Garou are but simple pawns...
And not even touching on the awesomeness of new Mage and Werewolf; or the Hosts....

Yep....my character would be based off my own in Asheville. Except with mage power..and orphan. Seriously not the type of person you'd like to find. (My ST has like no one in the city to cause a problem with....so I can't exactly obtain the weapons or items I could if my character was older. I'll make mine 21-22 just to allow for full stats in the street catagory.
My original character has 5 streetwise, 5 manipulation, 5 for intimidation, 4 for every physical stat and 4 for stealth, and 3 for survival. Though most don't come into play cause he has a home. Seriously...if he was older, this is the type of person who would be a ninja/assassin/warlord type.

I love the World of Darkness!:D
I know about the V:TM and Mage: The Ascension. I have some of the books for the NWOD but I actually haven't played with those rules.
Well, my cities aren't totally MT. They use conveyor belts for sidewalks.
I don't think you get the idea...World of Darkness means if you play ST that you must know everything in your city, control NPCs and set up for ALL of our characters to interact and grow or die.
An example, my character walked into the woods, he gets spooked cause a fellow player comes towards him in the woods....so he darts to the underbrush. Well....next thing he sees is growling glowing yellow eyes, he runs out and sees its a wolf. I TRY to avoid the attack, get slammed for 6 health levels of aggravated damage and black out...and start to bleed to death.
He drags me out and I lose another level before I awaken and can bandage the wound. Though I'll still die from that alone and can't walk well. I am saved by the girl (with magic) and the wolf appears. This time I get kicked in the head and because I dodge and have perfect stamina and perfect rolls I take no damage.....then I get backhanded by the werewolf for 3 more damage levels (normally I'd be dead....but help saved me).
Its alot of complex stuff that goes into each day of RPing, but its great.

You mean I have to control NPC's? If I do, hand control to another player. If I don't, RP away!
The ST describes the setting, the places, controls all NPCs and their behaviors (most of the NPCs are repeats and will be like a character in their own) and they need a rule book for it. The ST has great control and power, but you need a good background on it to play it right.

OOC: Which I don't have. You may use my city/jungle/mountains/other place to host your RP, but someone else will have to command NPC's and my soldiers and such.

If you can't do this, this alone is reason enough not to use it.

Little off track here? Lets get back to the issue. Of theme and setting and what books to be used :P
WEll, I have little to no knowledge of Forsaken or the new Mage, but I'm firmly against Requiem. Give me a good case for the other two, and I'd be happy to use 'em. Still, I'm keeping my Tzimisce and Cammarilla, capisce? ;)
That and we don't need a storyteller. Freeform is good for that sort of thing, although it's usually good to let the OP keep some semblance of control over his thread.
I'd be very interested.
However, I only know Vampire the Masquerade, no other ones.
I know if you do a google search you will be able to find ones with rulebooks and information about it (ones not even sold) that will cover all you need. Or you can get it from White wolf themselves.

Im familiar with Vampire series of Games, but the only one I've played is Vampire: Hunter (Not the Computer game, the actual RP), but I don't think I know enough to join in, I can barely remember any of the history
Vampire series? There's only one Vampire game, which is either Vampire: The Masquerade or Vampire: Requiem. Perhaps you're thinking of Hunter: The Reckoning?

Ah yes, nearly completely unrelated to VtM. Mostly because Vampires kick Hunter ass quite easily.

Like what old boy?
Probably location and acceptable characters. Though it seems no dice will be really used (unless you want them or unless they are required (to prevent godmodding)).
The charts and sheets make it interesting as a side thing. Though if you really want I'll start it up with my character Victora.

You know I'm in. Now where exactly do you plan on running it? My nation is a decent enough setting (basically a dark version of the US, with crime galore, and the country basically run by organized crime syndicates), but no way am I storytelling.

With so many nations all going for the WoD NS...we should do it international I think, but our characters are going to have to be leaders in their fields if you want that...
but our characters are going to have to be leaders in their fields if you want that...
I don't see why that would be neccessary. For Vampires, just catch a red-eye flight and you'd most likely miss the sun, and there's little to no danger of Lupines en route. Worst comes to worse, you just have to sleep in an airport bathroom stall (come to think of it, that wouldn't be that bad of a haven). The others would find it much easier to travel, especially Mages. Of course, from what I know of Wraiths, they'd be minorly screwed...
And note to Chronos and related parties: I'll be posting on St. Louis by Night tonight. Commencing with my own mini-plot if neccessary. Who here likes the Sabbat? :D
Just keep a WoD tag on it so we know. ^-^
Actually, STLBN is off-site. My brother runs it over on www.rhunholm.net. Semi-closed at the moment, as we can only cram about 25 licks into the city, and we need room for NPCs.

Ok, heres how I see it; Me and Otagia will generally be in charge of the V:TM portions; Asbena will play a hand in running mage; and now we need someone with a deep-rooted love and understand of Werewolf...

Her magic originally was all vulgar wish magic, but she became quite skilled in magic from the other Hollow Ones she encountered. She's a skilled mage and is very crafty. Though she isn't exactly a proper woman, she's rules a club which secretly traffics drugs, people and secrets. She has a distinct distaste for Vampires, her gun has silver-bullets in it at all times to stop a Vampire or Werewolf/Werebear if ever encountered. Lives in NYC, New York, USA.

Name: Remiel De Drakan
Clan: Tzimisce
Sect: Sabbat
Disciplines: Visscitude, Animalism, Auspex
Generation: 6th
Description: Tall, his hair flowing about his head in black locks; this dark prince eyes you with gleaming blue eyes. He dresses in black, long veleur or leather coats; tight black shirts; black jeans and black boots; hiding the intricate work beneath. His flesh is adorned in piercings and tattoos; shoulders, elbows; spine and knees adorned with sharp thorns of bone that protrude from his flesh; they too carved and inscribed.
His lips are pale, his flesh almost white; a pierced tongue flickers over sharpened teeth; and he appears, for all intensive purposes to be hungry...
History: Remiel was a young nobleman, only recently having inherited his fathers lands. He lived alone, looking out into the night from his bleak castle in the far north, constantly pining for a life outside the confines of the castle. One night, a travelling Koldun and his apprentices came to the castle, seeking out the young lord and promising him his hearts desire in exchange for shelter. He accepted, little to know that his immortal soul was soon to be forfeit.
That night the dread creature embraced him, transformed his into one of the living dead through the blood ceremony. Remiel De Drakan, the Tzimisce, was born...He removed himself from his humanity, his master instructing him that to embrace humanity is to embrace destruction. He became a predator, transforming his castle into a tomb; holding court with vampires from all corners of the isle, self styling himself as a monarch. His master, of course, ruled the whole establishment, but Remiel was content, on his 'throne', content in the drinking of countless bloods, and the holding of human slaves.
All faded into legend, after years the castle was apparently deserted, although some would speak of dread things in the catacombs below. None cared, even when the castle burned to the ground in a mysterious accident, for none now have heard of Remiel De Drakan for many centuries.
Other info- Remiel has spent many years in an uneasy torpor, slumbering away from the world, building up his mental and spiritual strength. He exudes an aura of sophistication and savagery, of seductiveness and evil. Yet now he awakens; having cut a swathe through the meagre holdings of Camarilla Glasgow; he crosses the Atlantic. New York has seen his touch; St Louis; Atlanta; his fel hand opens and closes; and none know the true ambitions of this prince of delightful pain; this dark Angel of the Bloodied Hand of Thorn and Retribution

The thread would be about interactivity if anything instead of character developement. Though whatever is fine. Just don't want to mess his up.
Zariel, Flame of the North
One of the cheif advisors of Lucifer, Zariel is a Devil of no small amount of power. Prior to the War in Heaven, Zariel was known as the Flame of the North, one of the angels of the Aurora. With his carefully crafted displays largely ignored by Man, Zariel was a quick convert to the Dawn Bringer's cause, and is the foremost in the Elohim's quest to find their Lord of the Morning.
Zariel currently inhabits the body of a priest who he provoked into having a heart attack, and turning what would normally be a near-death experience into home-sweet-home. His previous body was destroyed in a conflict with a rather peeved Earthbound, and Zariel was in a bit of a rush to reincarnate, so he has the slight misfortune of not knowing his hosts name.
In his Apocalyptic form, Zariel is engulfed in a shimmering pillar of prismatic light, two wings of irridescent feathers sprouting from his back. His flesh is cloaked in fire, burning away all those who stand before him.

I personally think we should focus on plot and character development. Story rather than forced mechanics.
Indeed. Thus why I didn't post stats on Zariel, just backstory and some basic information. Oh, and I really should post about the Rabisu...
