Following the Azazian takeover of Novikov and the dissolution of the National Defense Agency in November, 2005, several highly successful Novikovian defense contractors were left to reform and restart a ruined and now stigmatized national industry. With the return of government subsidizing in early 2006, the national defense industry was reborn as a new governmentally-owned conglomerate, the Novikovian Colonial Defense Agency. Heir to past legacy and future hopes, the Colonial Defense Agency hopes to continue expanding and add your name to the list of satisfied customers of the past.
The Novikovian Colonial Defense Agency (NKApO) does require her esteemed international customers to adhere to a certain code of conduct, whether simply commenting or making a purchase. Firstly, while comments on any of the products catalogued are appreciated, criticism and debate should be kept out of this thread. If customers wish to place a complaint, they can contact me via e-mail, or using the Nationstates telegram feature. Secondly, all customers should calculate their own prices when placing an order. It is not up to me to total all prices. (This is not to say that I do not check prices, see below.) Finally, production rights are not typically sold by the NKApO, however they may be sold in limited circumstances. If one wishes to inquire about production rights, please ask in an orderly manner described below.
Thank you for your interest in the NKApO’s equipment and designs. Please take your time to browse our catalogue and feel free to comment on what you see. My contact is listed below.

Well, this is a continuation on the older, and unfinished NKApO storefront I made under the name Novikov_Reborn. I’ve since revived the old Novikov and am planning to operate this storefront with that name. Novikov’s mine, and mine it will stay. I hope you enjoy looking around, and feel free to purchase some of the wonderful, inexpensive designs you find.

Type-03 Main Battle Tank
Overview:
The Type-03 was the first indigenous tank produced in Novikov. She was essentially an advancement of the Type-80 (also Type88) Chinese MBT formerly used. Her layout was done in the standard Soviet style, with a front driving compartment, central combat station/turret, and rear-mounted engine. The major virtues of the design were her low profile, and versatility – armed with not only a 125mm conventional Smoothbore, but also with a 12.7mm Machinegun and a pair of SA-7 Surface-to-Air Missiles, allowing her to fill an air-defense role as well as that of the Battle Tank. Her short fallings, however, were found to outweigh the virtues during the Novikovian-Azazian War, where the vehicle was found to be ill equipped to beat the increasingly heavy armor used on modern tanks, as well as somewhat thin-skinned. A replacement, the Type-07 is planned, but has not been completed yet.

SPW-05 Armored Assault Gun
Overview:
The SPW-05 Armored Assault Gun was designed as a compliment to the Type-03 Main Battle Tank, and is intended to fill an infantry support role. To facilitate this role, the SPW-05 was designed as a mobile gun platform, and is easily capable of fording small bodies of water. Her armament is an adapted 75mm artillery piece, mounted almost rigidly in the center of the vehicle. The gun is more than capable of acting as a low-trajectory artillery piece, and is also able to fill an improvised anti-tank role at close range using high-velocity HEAT rounds. The vehicle itself is similar in virtue to the Type-03, that is to say it has the same low profile and mobility, while its similar shortcomings – light armor and a light gun – are not detrimental to the role it is intended to fill. Because of this difference in roles, it is said to be far more successful than the Type-03.

Premyslid-Class Super Dreadnaught
Overview:
As the first proposed vessel of the Dreadnaught classification, the Premyslid-Class of ships is somewhat of an oddity in a navy which has, until now, remained strictly adherent to the belief that Dreadnaught and Super Dreadnaught vessels serve no conceivable purpose. That belief was challenged during the Novikovian-Azazian War, which saw the destruction of much of Novikov’s surface fleet. The old belief in maneuverability over brute power – much like the old belief in the battlecruiser – has finally fallen out of favor based on experienced during the war, where Novikovian vessels were unable to achieve the tactical advantage their greater speed and maneuverability was thought to lend them simply because they were not able to engage the enemy Dreadnaughts at sufficient range. To compensate for this deficit in range and hitting power, post-bellum engineers and naval strategists in Novikov have developed a first-generation indigenous Super Dreadnaught to be constructed under the supervision of the Royal Navy whenever such an undertaking is no longer a political liability for the Novikovian Parliament. The ship, based around the need for a long-range weapons platform, is intended to serve as little more than a bombardment vessel and command ship for the rest of the fleet. By foreign standards, it is largely inadequate to fill the plethora of roles other dreadnaughts serve – too small to compare to more comprehensive Command Battleships, and too lightly armed to stand up to similarly-sized ships.
