Within our home system, in the milky way slightly beyond a nebula, exists a strange anomaly which emits strange radiation, including tachyons. After studying it for years, we have contsructed a station which has formed what we believe to be, a wormhole to the Andromeda galaxy. We have sent a probe through however as soon as it entered the event horizon all transmissions ended. We think that this is because the wormholeis one way. We have gathered an expidetion team. A Talon MK2 class starcruiser and Bison class cargo ship, along with apair of Strykers have been dispatched and are prepared to make an expediton into the Andromeda galaxy. At this time we call upon all planets in the milky way for aide in this daunting task, uncovering an entirely new galaxy!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS2/wormhole.jpg

The Talon has already entered the wormhole!!! Hurry while there is still time to get in!

Transmit your diplomatic ID code and we will give you the coordinates.

Rules: No ships which can travel faster than "borg type trans warp" meaning if you can reach other galaxys with your own ftl system in under 15 years, you can't come! or you have to ignore that part of your ship. Also no ships wider or taller than 600 meters can fit in the wormhole!

The United states would like to send its own small fleet, with resource ships, construction ships, and a colony ship or two escorted by a destroyer group.
New Dornalia
09-03-2006, 21:51
The New Dornalian Commissariat of Science would also like to send a detachment of colony ships, supply ships and a small fleet of Trotsky Escort Carriers and Zaitsev II ISDs. The aforementioned ships are not our heaviest, but then again, they are the only ships qualified to fit through the wormhole.

Thank you for the welcome!

A transmission:
"This is PHX Expidetionary Force 95 hailing Ri-an, We are new to this part of space and are wondering, do you have any starcharts, we could offer your latinum, wine and our friendship for them." was broadcast on all channels.

OOC: Are we already in the Andromeda Galaxy already, or do we have to RP going through the wormhole?

IC:

The ND Commissariat of Science's "Lewis And Clark Force" entered the Andromeda Galaxy, and then made a similar reply to the Ri-an hail:

"Ri-anian forces, this is the New Dornalian Commissariat of Science's Lewis And Clark Expeditionary Mission. We are traveling with the Militants in our survey of this galaxy, and we too would like to extend our our friendship to you. In the name of the Workers And Peasants, we would like to share trade goods and technology with you. In exchange, all we ask is that we can cooperate on future matters, and perhaps obtain starcharts of the nearby areas. Maybe even some of your local liquors."

Broadcast message:
"While we do not know what latinum is, Wine and friendship are acceptable in trade. We are transmitting a rather large file which contains starcharts on approximatly 1/2 the Galaxy, including our position. Included with these starcharts. Be warned, there are organisms that live in space and travel it easily, without technological aid. We have not yet been able to study them. Two however, we know of. One is the Friendly Space Mambo, a really big fish that dwells in space, and is somehow able to sustain itself off the backround radiation. The other, is a Gigantic 3,000 year old creature that protects our planet. Both dwell in our space, so if you find them, you find us. Also, Space Mambos are delicious if you can catch one. They taste similar to a salmon fish. As to technology, we ourselves probably cannot offer much, as our knowledge combines science, with what many consider magick."

After a few minuets, a reply comes over.

"We will come and pick them up personally. As for alcoholic beverages, we have two of which we are proud. The first is a shockingly strong wine called Foresta, and is made with the fruit of an adult Treant. A treant is a close relitive of the Tree. It can move, think on its own, and even talk. The other, is called Mambo Mambo, and is made with the juices and Radiation of a Space Mambo. We will bring along a crate of each, aged to perfection, and in the case of the Mambo Mambo, decontaminated to safe levels. We only have on ship, so please do not shoot it. It looks like a really big arrow." Came the response.

Seconds later, said ship could be seen in the distance.

The lead ship of the Expedition, the Lewis and Clark, hailed the Ri-anian ship and said, "We see you now. You may dock with us, we'll get facilities prepared...."

Sure enough, the Captain of the Lewis and Clark prepared a delegation, and got the docking facilities ready for operations...

The Arrow, which happened to be the name of the ship, came up, turned around, and backed into the docking point. From out of the ship, came a single, odd looking man with obvious technological parts. His left arm, was covered in a glistening metal sleeve, or it was a glitening metal sleeve, which, it was hard to tell. His right eye, had a metal ring aroung it, and his eye seemed much bigger than normal. he wore white robes with both Arcane magickal symbols, and scientific symbols, bleeding together to form entirely diffrent symbols alltogether. Behind him came a small platform, holding two five foot cubed crates. It was made of common steel, had a glass bottom, and a rather odd engine houses in the glass.

"Greetings, I am Schotty, Sorcerer of science, and member of the ruling council of the Ri-an Theocracy." Schotty said with a slight bow.

The Crate came up beside him. One had a leaf, the other had a fish.

"The crate with a leaf on it, is the Foresta wine, to keep it properly, you need to store it in a slightly warm compartment. As to the Mambo Mambo, marked with the fish, store it in a slightly damp, slightly cool place. I have small machines in there keeping those conditions." Schotty said, explaining the crates.

He then snapped his fingers and two ensigns brought the aforementioned crate of Glenlivet. He then said, "This is Glenlivet scotch, distilled in 1926 AD, by our reckonings. It is some of the finest in New Dornalia, and very rare stuff. No special conditions are needed for storage, you can keep it slightly chilled or at room temperature for your tastes."

He then said, "Boys, take the Ri-anian gifts to the kitchen, have the cook keep the Mambo Mambo stuff in a slightly damp place, and have the Foresta kept in a room set at 30 degrees Centigrade."

The ensigns nodded, and then took the crates to the kitchen.

Schofield then said, "There's more whiskey where that came from, and though its not of the quality of the Glenlivet, they are fine drinks still. We have Jim Beam, and Suntory. We also have technology and other goods we can share besides alcoholic drinks."

"Now Where might you come from?" Schotty asked as a general question.

Mean while the USS Harbinger and a fleet of escorts and other ships jumped out of chronoshift drive, there black, grey and smooth hulls gleaming in the light of the star, the Harbinger rumbled in to position, its Universal Theory drive Rumbling as it moved towards the gate, on the bridge of the large 1.5 km ship, the commander stood atop looking over the huge tactical tables, 3D holographic sensor read outs, large screens and ship status holograms .

He looked over to his con officer who was working with an AI and Augment, he said "Open a frequency"

the con officer tapped his console quickly his hands moving over the seemingly magic like console, he looked over swiveling his chair and nodded.

The commander started to speak "This is the USS Harbinger ... ,we are here with the rest of our squad, and await our turn in line to make it across the gate...we await your response... Harbinger out.."

Mean while the ships moved in a little closer, the large FDF eagles and starts gleaming on there hulls as they slowly maneuvered towards the area.

Attention Harbinger, this is wormhole command, you are too wide turn back now, your other vessels will make through, but the apature is only 600 meters in diameter so while you ship can be 1 million meters long it can only be 600 m wide and tall.

"Yes, Yes they would. I would offer in return, a new form of technology, based off both Science, and Magick, but regrettably, its still in its early stages, and quite unpredictable. I would hate to give you a sheild generator, just to have it expand your ship into the sheilds. Seems rather counter-productive, really." Schotty said.

It allows the user to establish a temporary Hive mind, sharing all information with anyone the wearer choses to accept into the mind. It works, but currently, there are two bugs I work out. OOC: just for ease of RP, lets say that the Wormhole let you out near my space. Gives you a good solid starting point. Plus, I'm always willing to help you back to M.W. Galaxy.

IC: "Well, around here, the world are all rather big. I understand that in the Milky way there is a planet known as Jupiter. The worlds in the systems around and in our space, rival, or Dwarf it. The Stars are also pretty big. Not to far away, is a rather Large Nebula. Scattered all about, are Space mambos. If you are not allergic to fish, you may wish to catch one, and eat it, after cooking it. i do advise though, that you decontaminate it first, for they are chock full of space radiation. We don't know of and Black holes, Singularities, you might call them, nearby. However, there are some marked on the maps we gave you. Not all sections of Andromeda are that way, however that is just the local area." Schotty said matter of factly.

Moments later, he reappears, as though spinning upward. He returns the Pact completly signed.

Schofield then took the Pact, and said, "Cool. Thanks for signing. I think this will work out to both our benefits."

He then said, giving the Pact to an adjutant who put it in a folder, "I think it's time we surveyed the property now. Can't keep the fleet waiting, y'know."

"Well, then, i'll go back to my ship. Follow me with your fleet." Schotty said.

He went back to his own ship, detached and went on a course. Then, as though it were being stretched, the Arrow expanded, and then, with a visable snap, disappeared, leaving behind a trail even a blind man could follow.

Schofield went back to his bridge, and said to the Helmsman, "Comrade-Helmsman-follow that trail."

The man said, "Aye, comrade captain."

The fleet then followed the trail.....

The trail lead on, and on, and, when it entered a particular system, made a big circle. Schotty was waiting for them, in orbit of a gargantuan M-class planet.

Schofield was hoping these guys weren't leading them into a trap....he followed them anyway, and with some hesitation.

Entering into orbit around the same planet Schotty was at, he then hailed Schotty's ship, saying, "Well, we're here."

"You can have this whole system. 3 habitable planets, one Gas giant. I think a few moons can be used as well. This planet, is the best to start a colony on. *sends a few coordinates* At the coordinates I just sent you, is the spot we believe, after some research, a fledgling Colony would have the best chance at. Wide open plains, not to far from a forest, near a river, temperate climate, good weather, and mountains in the distance. Their all pretty big, and you can see the moons for yourself. If you look along my ship length wise, the tip of the arrow points at Ri-an's star way far off in the distance. Oh yes, sometimes the Space mambo come through here, feel free to catch and eat them, their delicous." Schotty said.

Schofield then said, "Thanks."

In the meantime, the first colony ship responded to Schofield's next action, an order to land onto the surface. Thus, the colony ship hovered over, and began teleporting men, materiel, and other necessities to the specified site below.

"Now, you know where we are, we know where you are, but one last thing. In the void between Our system, and yours, lies a big, dense nebula, consider it neutral space, if you will. Anyways, inside it, we are going to construct a permanete Wormhole, between Andromeda, and Milky Way, international territory, to international territory. its all marked on the maps." Schotty said.

The Arrow turned, and, left Schofield and his colony fleet to their own devices.

Schofield then ordered the other colony ships to go the the two other habitable planets and the moons nearby, and find areas to land on them. This was done, and the ships began to deploy their men and gear via transporter, setting themselves up as they discovered that not only could the two other planets be landed on, but some of their moons were perfectly habitable as well.

Meanwhile, sure enough, several of the Space Mambos mentioned by Schotty flew by. The crews onboard the ships captured some of them, and served them to good reviews from the crews...
