Is anybody interested in joining a new FT galaxy?

It would open up a whole new galaxy of RPs.

I just want to know if the interest is there.

Technically, you are correct, but you will note that I had put the term "universe" in quotes, meaning that it was not so much a literal universe, but rather an alternate dimention of sorts.

So what I meant by the term "universe" was just another dimention in the same galaxy, in this case the Milky Way galaxy. Get it?

I think we should just stick with the Milky Way galaxy. Here's why; Sinse many nations and races have a history revolving around the Sol/Earth system it makes sense. This is especially true if those races later colonized stars in the general vicinity of the Sol system.

The Solar system should be left the way it is. As for planets, I already have created my own systems with their planets. Furthermore, I'll write up some propositions and suggestions for the galaxy. For example, how things could be displayed and so on.

You should of course create your own planets. Atleast mostly in names. Gives the Rp a more unique feel, rather than a copied.

I've done more than just name them, I've created entire systems using current astronomical knowledge. Also, within each system some of the planets and moons have a purpose, such as, for example; Mining, Food Production, Admistrative, Industry, Research, Military, Outposts and so on. Furthermore, I have forces (both ground and space) listed in each system. Some of you may come up with some more ideas.

Thats usually the best way to go, Its the way i usually go when i set up System wide Rp's. I was just giving a quick and simple answer, lots of people dont want to go through the 'trouble' of creating each planet, planning out each detail to make it work.

I suggest that on the larger scale map - that is ,the galaxy itself, each nation, race etc. be represented by a dot. Note that some dots may be larger than others due to various factors, such as, current population, your races reproductive rate (in which your races lifespan would also have a bearing on) and so on. A simple "Zoom" function can be used to get a closer look into each nations, races etc territories for more detailed information.

Right... that's what I mean. I guess I just did not have the scale right in my mind. So each system has a bunch of different planets right?

I think he would make a good mod if he chose to do so, knowledge is power when it comes to Rp. In most cases.

As long as you're FT, not a part of Earth II or another RP galaxy, then you can join with your existing nation.

Thanks for the vote Naggarothi. I'll take up the post of a moderator on the forum. However, we eventually will likely need more mods as time goes on. A good forum usually moderates itself.

Also Geneticon, the map you posted will not be very good for our needs. It should be a polar view i.e: galactic north.

Something very much like this should suffice, with a number of zoom functions. Four or five zoom functions should do it - especially as some areas become more crowded. You will also note that the galactic arms are named.

No I guess the mainstream one wouldn't count... and we will interact with other FT nations outside of our galaxy as well.

As Otagia mentioned, this will work but more zoom functions are needed and the "Sun" indicated by a yellow arrow is a little large.

I'm working on making it bigger, I have to get a bigger host... but I will have it done soon.

As for the host, I'd suggest Invision. Works nicely, simple to use, acceptable bandwidth limits... Over all, pretty nice.

OCC: We just happen to have a civilization that is located in the Andromeda Galaxy. Maybe your wormhole could enter our space there. Also our main country is on Earth and we have a orbital star gate that reachs from Earth to the Andromeda Galaxy. It could work either way.
