Zaïrean embassy exchange thread

We of République du Zaïre are hereby opening ourselves to the outside world. While a few nations currently have embassies, the bulk of the world does not; a situation we want to remedy. We consider ourselves a non-aligned nation, and our foreign policy emphasizes neutrality and cordial relations regardless of ideology. If you want an embassy, there are a few warnings you should know beforehand:

* Due to the fact that we are recovering from a huge and deadly civil war, infrastructure is poor, amenities are limited, and crime is a serious problem in most places, including the capital, Kinshasa

* Most Zaïreans do not speak English. If you want to send an ambassador, we advise sending someone fluent in French

* Avoid travel to the far eastern regions, as sporadic guerrilla raids, cross-border skirmishes, landmines, and ragtag militias still pose a threat

* Each staff member of your embassy, including the ambassador, must present proof of innoculation against yellow fever

* Interaction with ordinary Zaïreans is permitted and welcomed, although we advise against entering political discussions. If a Zaïrean is heard making an anti-government or subversive comment, you are required by law to report it to the police

* Travel at night, in any part of the country, is ill-advised

* While the majority of Zaïreans are non-racialist, you may occasionally suffer discrimination if you have white skin. Just remember that the discriminators are a tiny minority, and be sure to report the incident to the police

* We cannot guarantee the safety of many restaurants or street vendors. Be vigilant in regards to personal hygiene, and do not eat ill-prepared food or food prepared in unsanitary conditions. Also, do not drink water unless it is boiled properly

* HIV is a growing problem. If you plan to have sex, do it safely

* Medical supplies are in short supply. Be sure to stock up on any needed medicines before coming here

Finally, we have two conditions:

1. Your embassy cannot have more than 20 armed guards
2. You cannot provide refuge to anyone considered anti-government

Please fill out the following:
