Vietnamese ships have been seen moving large amounts of oil and supplies back and forth from Australia and Japan. Clogging the Shipping lanes south of Singapore to Indonesia with many trips back and forth.
Vietnamese ships have been seen carrying passengers on top of and below the holds as they move towards Australia. The current meaning of this is unknown.
As the ally of Australia, Vietnam is recieving Metal Storm technology ADWS to make sure the borders stay safe.
Vietnam is currently in still some turmoil, but do to economic trade with Australia, businesses have been increasing, helping to raise the GDP by 4% in the past year.
The military has recieved some funding for troops training and the Metal Storm weaponry training and use.

OOC: That's actually a step backwards. The Vietnamese GDP's current annual growth rate is 7.6%, and fluctuating slightly, but possibly increasing. It hasn't been below 5% since at least the early '80s. Even with internal problems, 4% is pretty bad for them.
