"Good," Admiral Grilluike hissed back, "We've invested a large portion of our forces to this mission. Let's not foul up, or it will be your head, Captain. Understood?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good. How close are we to the star system we picked out?"
"Five light-years, sir."
"Have the ships switch over from the Hyperdrives to their Warp Drives."
"Aye, sir."
Exterior
The fleet dissapeared in flashes of light as the ships engaged their Warp Drives en route to the target star system. After they had secured it, an escorted colony ship would follow.
OOC: I use Star Wars style Hyperdrives for extra-galactic travel and Star Trek style Warp Drives for intra-galactic travel. Oh, and I also RP as the Gorn.
Oh, to join, you could have picked up the comm chatter between my ships or the F.T.L. signatures or you could already be in the star system I'm going to be turning into my base in the Milky Way Galaxy. I'm not exactly trying to conceal my presence.

The Hera moved smoothly through space. The Ship was massive, at Six Kilometers in length, it made many vessels in opposing fleets look tiny. The Craft was one of the few Explorer Cruisers, One of Two In fact. This had been noted, and hence, the Names Translation: To Go, fitted the craft well.
The Ships Mind struck through space, its engines holding back, so it did not miss the data it needed. While the Necrontyr had charted much of space in their Original Reign, it had been a LONG time, and new Cultures Popped up all the Time. This was the point of the Explorer Fleets, and this vessel was one of the Few Military Class Craft in them, along with only 15 other vessels.
It was, while it contemplated this, that it found a increase in Communications and what its scanners showed to be a fleet. -Interesting- It thought to itself as it changed the direction it headed in. As it did so, it sent a communication, locking onto the Fleets channels.
On Behalf of the Eternal Necrontyr Empire,
I, The Scythe Class Harvest Ship Hera of the Explorer fleets, am approching your position, I hope this does not bother you. By the time you recive this I will be only several Seconds out.
See you Soon...

By the time that small convosation was over, the Craft was streaming next to the craft, and it thought to itself...going exceptionally slowly. A quick scan of the fleet showed it had some potential, but he wouldn't tell them that, mainly cause potential didn't mean an ability to cause a threat to the Empire.
Hello Once again,
I am here now, I wonder can you move any faster? or is this the fastest you can move? If the latter...Give me your destination and I shall meet you there...this travel is tedious and boring.

Bioligin
10-03-2006, 00:52
If one sight in this galexy was worth observing, it was a squadron of highly trained military Biohawks presicion jumping into a system on a training mission. This system was used by the living ships and their crew to practice combat missions. The lack of a gas giant kept the Bioligins from growing a habitat here, but the few orbital bodies made it ideal for training.
All at once the 20 biohawks appeared out of nowhere in a gravometric distrortion and began launching bugs, comat drones, at imaginary targets. All stealth is blown out the window at this point, everyone in the system is bound to notice them. Today their target was a single large asteroid that had been towed into the system by another group of biohawks. The biohawks appeared in a creasent formation around the asteroid, all facing it.
Begining main assult, target is ungaurded. The lead biohawk said over the telepathy band connection the squadron.
Bugs away, ready to target remains, another responded.
The bugs began spinning off smaller insects, little living entities with a single fuction in life: find enamy, kill it. Ion pulse insects would litteraly blow the enamies sheild away with a jet of ion gasses before dieing. Gamma-ray laser insects could cut through the hull of a ship like a knife through butter. And Fusion insects would explode in a multi-megaton explosion right next to the enamy target. The over all effect was devistating, but very loud. Everyone in the system would see them, unless they were blind or something.
(OOC: my ship sizes:
Biohawk: 300 meters
Bug: 3-4 meters
insect: 20-30 cm
They're all small and hard to hit, so remember that.)
Trailers

The planets surface, hospitable, rich in resources, uninhabited by sentient life; yet nonetheless watched. A small drone roved the landscape, long whiplike tentacles jutting from the oblong body, causing it to writhe across the ground like some sort of gigantic octupii.. Whatever powered the thing was covered in a yellowish living armor, fitting as skin. An odd symetry possessed it's movements too perfect for nature. This was doubtlessly an alien machine of some form. As sub-planar vibrations caused by nearby FTL activation rattled it's delicate intruments, those tentacles slid liquidly into the ground, rooting it in place. Equipment emerged from it's top in long stalks, rotating and homing in on a point far above the atmosphere. It watched silently, phasing telemetry back to whom or whatever had built it.

"Sir," hissed the Tactical Officer, "we are reading another group of ships dropping to sublight in-system. They are apparently firing at a lump of rock. We are also detecting nuclear detonations."
"Combat practice," hissed the Admiral, "Couldn't be anything else."
"Agreed, sir," hissed the Captain, "Orders?"
"Send a Penetrator to get a closer look."
"Aye, sir."

The orders were relayed to one of the Penetrator class assault cruisers, the I.G.S. Nal'Shar. The angled form of the ship cut through the space en route towards where the Bioligin biohawks were located.

Bioligin

The bugs quickly expended their single shot insects and accelerated into the target for the final suicide attack, the damage done then was all force=Mass*acceleration.
Area clear, move in and engadge smaller targets, the lead biohawk called out over the telepathy band as the last fusion explosion cleared.
The biohawks now got a chance to show off their abilities. Each biohawk selected a different large rock out of the heavily debrie laden space and began its attack run. Each biohawk had 2 large gamma-ray laser growths and 2 ion-pulse growths. The biohawks nimbaly dodged in and around the expanding debrie feild and proceeded to cut their target appart in seaminly impossible menuvers.
All combat sensors were gaudged to lock on to the single target in the massive EM distortions caused by the fusion bombs, so the biohawks didn't relize any other ships were approching untill it entered the couple thousend kilometer range which designated the ship's distortion feild, an area of gravotational distortions that the biohawks use to control their movements.
More technological ships tend to read gravity distortions or anomalies in this area and the gravity generators complain about overloading, though no damage is actually being done.
Incoming techno ships, unknown origian, form up and be ready to jump, the lead biohawk called out in ernest. Moments later the rest of the squadron emerged from the debrie field and was ready for anything. No signal was detected, not after all the EM interferance caused by the fusion bombs. Although only the lead biohawk was equiped with the techno radion transmitter/recever.
No signal recived, they might have sent one but I didn't hear it. In any case, be ready for combat, this ship seams armed, though I'm not fermilier with the weapons. I'll let them make the first move. The lead biohawk thought outloud to the rest.

The ship had also cut its engines, after all, when who your following stops its an idea to stop with them. The craft, as it slowed, look exceedingly fragile, and deceptivly so. Once the message arrived, it did the math in its head...One week to Cross the Galaxy, Two if they decided to stop off for sight seeing. Compared to a Quater of a Second...it gave him very little to worry about.
Bravo
I figure your ships where moving so slowly to keep fuel levels at optimum, or some other such, not to keep up with your slowes ship, and although that did cross my mind, I wondered why the entire fleet moved as one Bulk...with no forward scouts.
Anyways, I am here to open possible diplomatic channels, this will depend on your attidude. Hopefully this will turn out for the better and not the worse...

OOC: That would be the pack mentality at work, Valshare. That, and I was in a rush and didn't think of sending scouts. Of course, that would have been the Na'Shantaa as she's faster than the Penetrators, but you don't send the flagship of a fleet on a scouting mission. And you wouldn't send one of the other ships because of their speed limitation, the roles they play in the fleet, and their ship types.

I would suggest being careful of that craft,
They may attack, they cloaked, and there was an energy spike before hand. I suspect they intend to attack.

Hilor is two jumps away, I could make it there in 10 min or so, and be back with an ambassator 20 min after that, one biohawk said.
I don't see any other options, we'll hold off talking with them for now untill you get back.
One of the biohawks pealed off and accelerated away from the action at a bone crushing 12 gees, before dissapering in a burst of gravity distortions. The rest continued to sit and wait.

The Strogg
15-03-2006, 15:13
A twisted hulk of contorted grey metal, the Strogg Cruiser was quite clearly designed with no sense of aesthetics in mind. Its jutting pylons and asymmetrical form was an imposing sight as it blotted out the stars, but it was only a fraction of the size of a Strogg Dreadnought -- those goliaths were reputably capable of facilitating the harvesting of entire worlds by themselves. Still, it was brimming with all manner of different weapons, heavy armour plating, presumably some form of energy shielding, and surely it had a distinct practical purpose, though scans returned inconclusive results on all counts. It was one of the smallest vessels the Strogg possessed that was capable of traversing interstellar distances; anything smaller was launched from Dreadnoughts, Orbital Harvesters, or based on planets, and lacked faster-than-light capabilities.
It streaked to a dead halt as its engines shut down. Its sensors glared about, gleaming knowledge from all that was within its sight, absorbing every facet of information it could detect before falling silent. It had no running lights, no windows, and with its engines now dead, nothing that gave off any light whatsoever. For all intents and purposes it was dead.
Until, a message was sent, apparently emanating from the ship somewhere. Many voices spoke at the same time, but, they were all in unison, as 'one'. Their tone was neutral, neither hostile nor friendly. "Unknown species -- input requested." The transmission was terminated shortly afterwards. The Strogg ship remained motionless. Waiting.

The average Gorn stands 6'7" (2.7 meters) tall and weighs 320 pounds (145 kg). They have compound eyes, cold blood, little sense of smell, bumpy skin, and an extremely high metabolism. They can heal injury at a rate of two pounds (1 kg) of flesh per hour, and knit bones in less than 15 minutes. Ro'Hora sighed, shoulders dropping slightly. He looked like someone who had seen the same thing over and over again, and indeed he had.
"Another Warrior Race" he said, bluntly. He looked up, stern look on his face. "Just what we need, another race to run around the galaxy thinking they are the strongest out there, then they arrive into something they can't handle, and they die." He sighed, looking up. "You probably won't change either, and rather bluntly, I do not think the Tsarine will be willing to charge around helping you."
With that, he pulled out a small device, from which a green screen appeared. He typed in several combinations, and an infomation page came up.
"We would be willing to trade, give you materials where you need inside your sphere of influence, as long as you do not ask us to help you supply an army and you keep paying, we will send ships" He looked harshly. "But be warned, if you take the materials without paying, you will be crushed, hows that deal for you?"

"The challenges we seek, need not be in battle. It is only difficult to translate the concept into your language."
He hissed something else. There was the usual delay as the computer translated it into English.
"To accomplish your plan of trade, a station will have to be set up on the border. It is standard operating procedure to allow no unauthorized vessel inside Gorn space. How does that arrangement, how do you mammels put it.....strike you?"
OOC: Gorn aren't a warmongering species. They are like bees: Leave them alone, and they'll leave you alone. Establish a colony in their space without getting their approval, however, and they will wipe it out. They are highly territorial.

Blue, YEllow and Organge flashed across the screen, his eyes absorbed it all in the few seconds it played, while even recording it, they would never be able to decode the message that was being sent.
"I wonder exactly what you mean by Unauthorized" he said smoothly, leaning back. "Surely we would be trusted to send in unarmed CARGO vessels? A station could be easily set up, but that forces one of us, or both of us, to send ships to guard the thing, and waste materials making it. Why bother, when you can just let in our Cargo ships? Hell, we can arrange meeting times, we dump the cargo and you pick it up" He smiled. "Our nation is presently already investing its resources into making its own stations, surely there can be a better arrangment."

It then went dormant again for a time. Eventually, a second transmission emerged from the ship, lashing out at the Gorn fleet directly. Once again, many voices, speaking as one.
"We are Strogg. This system, irrelevant. Your species, unknown -- input requested. Exchange?."
This time, the voices apparently knew the Gorn language. The message was once again kept as short as was possible without being entirely meaningless. They weren't much for conversation, that much was certain. That they kept repeating the same phrase, 'input requested', suggested that they perhaps wanted data pertaining to this 'unknown species'. 'Exchange' could mean anything, from simple exchange of information to a direct confrontation. The latter seemed to be implied -- simple data could be sent remotely, it would not require the presence of a ship.
Regardless, the Strogg offered no further clarification. Once again their ship returned to its dormant state, awaiting a response patiently.

OOC: @Valshare: You're in their space and they don't know you. Gorn aren't a race that like that many unkowns in their space. Usually, they prefer to keep to themselves (they are one of the few isolationist species in the Star Trek universe (the Tholians are another)), but the Admiral knows that allies are needed in this galaxy if the Gorn are to survive here. So, equate it to nerves (basically, the fight or flight response thing).
IC: Conference Room
Grilluike hissed a reply.
"Gorn are more isolationist than anything," came the translation, "any non-Gorn ship entering Gorn space needs an escort to prevent an overzealous ship commander from acting incorrectly.
"We've already been a, how did he put it, ah, yes, a hair's breadth from war due to another nation putting a colony in our space back in the home galaxy. The commanding officer of a ship patrolling that area attacked and destroyed said colony. It was only through careful diplomatic reactions with the nation in question, that we were able to avert war. The ship commander that started this whole mess is now spending the rest of his natural life with the Enlisted on a garbage scow, but not as the commanding officer."
He turned and hissed something at the Sephrioth representative.
"Then you will make many enemies," came the translation, "and, unless they become our enemies as well, you are on your own with them."

In response to The Strogg message:
Inside the ship, it was dark. A few lights provided the minimal amount needed for those units which functioned with the visible light spectrum, but that was it. Strogg of all shapes and sizes milled around through the corridors and facilities, maintaining their strange blend of organic and mechanical technology constantly to keep it functioning at peak efficiency. The main control room, as if they needed one, was one of the busier places. Small drones buzzed around maintaining the ship and the Strogg themselves, using a variety of tools as they hovered between systems.
"Exchange confirmed," said one of the Strogg, speaking as many and one. "Lifeform status: humanoid. Transportation of humanoid unit for efficient communication facilitation."
"Affirmative," more voices, from another unit standing nearby. "This unit shall transport to ship." It turned, and made its way towards the main transportation systems.
"Negative," the first Strogg said. "Unknown species specifies 'shuttle'."
The second Strogg stopped in its tracks. "Inefficient," it said, almost grumbling. "Understandable precaution. Affirmative."
Somewhere from deep within the shadows of the protruding parts of the vessel a small craft emerged. Designed primarily for agile combat against other small craft, it seemed, with talon-like swept back wings allowing for atmospheric combat also. Though the result was more aesthetically pleasing than most things Strogg, it was pure aerodynamics in every respect. The small fighter arced away from the cruiser and towards the designated ship swiftly. A single creature resided aboard, though its lifesigns would not register, at least not on standard scans.
It landed, as instructed. The hatch hissed and retracted, releasing thin, stale air into the hangar, laced with an unusual smell. The vapours receded, and the Strogg inside allowed itself to drop down to the metal deck.
Now in the light of the hangar, the Strogg was more clearly visible. Machine merged with life in a most disturbing fashion. Its pale, bloodless face had apparently been removed completely to allow for components to be inserted into the skull and eyes, and then grafted back on afterwards, with electronics clearly visible behind its ragged edges. Its teeth had been re-inserted to its mouth as well, probably to give it a more 'natural' look for encounters such as this. Whatever changes had been made to his torso could not be seen, as thick armour plating had literally been welded onto it, covering it completely. Given that it didn't seem to breathe, it seemed likely that the changes were quite extensive. 'His' lower arms had been replaced with mechanical arms, presumably to give it greater strength and resilience. The majority of its legs had also been replaced too, leaving only small stumps of the original organic limbs. The unit was armed with some kind of personal defence weapon, though the thing was stored securely in an alcove on its thigh.
The final result was a mutilated, seven-and-a-half foot 'man'. 'He' was probably far more capable than he had been as a pure organic, but, from an outsider's point of view at least it didn't look like a whole lot of fun. Though despite the hideous method with which his cybernetic components had been incorporated with what was left of his body, he did not appear to be in any pain, if they could experience such sensations anyway. 'He' was a misnomer anyway. Even if Strogg recognised gender distinctions, it seemed unlikely that there was anything of that nature left to make a distinction.
Its metal feet slammed down onto the ground as it took a couple of steps forwards from the hissing fighter, turning its head from side to side as it surveyed its surroundings. It moved its glowing red eyes to look at the Gorn who waited for it, and focused in on them.
"I am the Strogg," it said, with the voices of many, after spending several seconds scanning them. Cocking its head to one side, it quizzed, "Input?"

Hanger Bay
The Ensign in charge of taking the Strogg representive to the Conference Room snarled something in the Gorn native tounge. He then moved out into the hall and slowly began moving in the direction of the Conference Room. However, before getting at an angle that would block the view of the Hanger, he looked back at the Strogg and hissed something else. He was doing his best to indicate that the Strogg representative should follow.

A Lieutenant came in and went over to the Admiral. He hissed something and left.
Grilluike spoke through the translator, "Apparently we are about to have more guests. Any of you familiar with the Strogg?"

The Strogg unit watched the Gorn intently, recording and analysing every word the creature uttered to further expand its language translation matrix. The green creature appeared agitated, urging it to follow. The Strogg complied, clanging its metal feet down against the deck as it followed the creature out of the hangar, scanning everything it passed as it moved.

The Strogg
18-03-2006, 01:25
The Strogg watched the Gorn fiddle with some controls to open the doorway, running several self-diagnostics and pondering why the creatures didn't simply tie such insignificant things into their thought processes for the sake of efficiency while it waited. The door removed itself from view, revealing the conference room behind it. The creature stepped aside, apparently wanting the Strogg to enter the room.
It clanged its metal feet down once more as it stepped through the door, scanning the room swiftly for potential threats, potential points of interest, any noteworthy nuggets of data that it could find. Aside from the native species of this vessel, it spied several organics not all that dissimilar to species it had already encountered. Several of them were armed, and displayed recognisable signs of anxiety. It flagged them as potentially dangerous. The others were unknown to it, exhibiting traits that eluded it thus far. By default, the unknown was to be regarded with caution. The Gorn themselves were difficult to read, as it had limited knowledge on this particular type of creature. They appeared to have lower body temperatures than the other creatures, and certainly seemed to be exhibiting some sort of emotional responses, though given its unfamiliarity with the species or any like it, it was unable to determine with any degree of certainty what those emotions were. The hissing noises they made were causing conflicts within the Strogg; its translation protocols recognised them as elements of a developed language and began decoding them, whilst its threat assessment protocols recognised them as hostile and increased power output in preparation for combat. The matter was left open to further data.
The Strogg ceased its second or two of musings, and looked down at what it assessed to be a creature of importance. The green creature appeared to be waiting for something, looking at the Strogg with its peculiar eyes. The Strogg noticed that the other creatures were also seated, and concluded that this creature wished for it to join them. Pondering the use of such an act, it came to the conclusion that it was to render all present less capable of hostilities. As this unit had no mandate to engage in such an act, it complied with the creature's unspoken request and lowered itself into a seat. It sat bold upright in an uncomfortable position, glancing at each of the seated creatures in turn with its expressionless face.

"I am the Strogg," the Strogg said, its many voices approximating whatever language the translator was putting out as its translation matrix continued to analyse the hissings of the Gorn. It mimicked the transmissions they had sent earlier, their intentions unchanged. It spoke quickly, with few pauses... efficiently. "Your species unknown, databanks incomplete. Input required. Biological data required. Sociological data required. Specimens desired. Stroggification offered. Tribinium acquisition high priority -- exchange available?"

Ro'Hora watched the Strogg Enter, noticing the way it moved. He looked at it, only half interested. The creature was a cyborg, and while they where usful ((He him self was technically one), he found the dependancy rather limiting. He shrugged and turned back to the Gorn in front of him.
"Thats a lovely story...but it has no bearing on what we are discussing here" he said, like a teacher lecturing a child. "I understand it has to do with the topic...but not in any bearing way, despite telling us there was someone who killed your colony in another galaxy, which really doesn't bother me that much. And I am only intending to put unarmed transport vessels through lanes you decide...I fail to see how this compares to a over zealous captain of a warship..."

"And it matters because all Gorn ships are armed and armored. Like Klingons, we do see the benefit of every ship being able to fight. Though, unlike the Klingons, we actually have a better focus on armoring our ships as well."

The Strogg reached forward and took the datapad with its mechanical, though realistic, fingers, and held it up before its face. Quickly, it scanned the contents of the datapad with its glowing red eyes, absorbing every piece of information contained within and then scanning the datapad itself for good measure, communicating the information as it collected it.
"Input acceptable," the Strogg said after a short while, apparently as close to a 'thanks' as it was going to get. It placed the datapad down again as it had no further use for the device. It was still craving for biological information, and could only garner so much information from its own scans, and without context such scans were difficult to make conclusions with. It had by now classified the species as reptile without doubt, but still knew little.
"Biological data still desired," it said. "This unit is cognizant of only two additional consequential reptilian civilisations in this galaxy, both deemed unsuitable for non-hostile data acquisition. Absence of data requires input. Additionally, tribinium ore acquisition still high priority; exchange possible?"
The Strogg paused as a quiet 'click' sound was emitted from its torso. It slowly reached down and pulled something from its side. Some kind of small chip, designed to be removable. It placed the chip on the table beside the datapad.
"Strogg biological data," it said. No doubt the chip contained information it had downloaded just now from the main Strogg database, regarding what little information they had of the original 'Strogg' species, long before cybernetics turned from a passing fad to an enforced and natural part of their biology. Though the Strogg were no longer considered a species in itself, mutilated and mixed with other species as they were, the Strogg doubtlessly considered it important data nevertheless. "Comparable exchange of data," it said. Despite having no concept of greed, it at least had an understanding the principles of trade and compromise.

21-03-2006, 23:46
Bioligins tresure a number of values, such as life the most important thing, technology is bad and being alone. One of the few professions they tresure as a whole are ambassators. Most bioligins are isolationists, so one who is willing to go out of their way to talk to other races is a rare type.
As such, the one biohawk that had left to get an ambassator, returned with another squadrons of biohawks. They all appeared in a tight formation in a burst of gravometric distortions. The ambassators biohawk was also equipped with a basic radio transmitter, grafted into its neural pathways. Most of the device was biological in construct, except for the 20 meter curving antenna which ran underneath its hull from one side to the other.
The following transmittion was sent shortly after the 21 arriving biohawks joined the 19 already in the system. It was sent in a total of 15 different languages, including english, one after the other.
"Greetings unknown ships, this is ambassator Udat of the Haven congress, representing the nation of Bioligin."
The signal was powerful enough to reach the outskirts of the system easily, so everyone would hear.

Grilluike gestured at one of the other Gorn in the room. The Ensign came foward and collected the Strogg chip and the PADD.
"I am unfamiliar with this 'tribinium'," came his translated voice, "do you have a sample our experts can examine? We may know it under a different name.

IC:
If this does disolve into a military conflict, we are currently out matched, though we might beable to pull something off, I think that we should send someone for reinforcements, and have them jump in stealthed, the ambassators biohawk said across the telapathic link between the ships, captains and crew.
Aye, came a chours of replies, only one though stood out amoung this.
What if they are found? a single biohawk in the formation said. Biohawks were notorious, atleast among the bioligin smuggling community, to be almost impossible to detect when stealthed. Very few thought they could ever be found unless they want to be.
Then we'll have alot of explaining to do, the ambassator said carfuly, feeling all of the sudden repose that filled the telapathic network. In any case, I believe it's a good idea. They shouldn't find them unless they are really looking for them, so if they do see them. It's probably time to call them in anyways.
The ambassator proceeded to one of the shuttles, they were also living beings, but not quite as smart as the biohawks. They were more like well trained birds or horses then a sentient ship. The ambassator was joined by a Xenophycologist, who were almost as rare as ambassators, and 3 Troops.
Troops are a special constructs, they are grown and trained for combat. They wear a military style out fit that has no markings on it, and a scaly skin, inorder to provide protection. Each arm has a small 4 barrel biological chain gun that they are always pointing, atleast one, in the direction they are looking, and a small Gamma ray growth that protrudes from their chest, it has a special flap in the uniform that it can push through to fire.
Troops can talk, in a very gruff and mean sounding voice, but, generaly, they choose not to. It's much easier for them to simply point their guns and shoot.
After some coaxing the bioshuttle disconnected from the underbelly of the biohawk, extended it's distortion field and swooped off towards the Gorn ship. It's flight was very strange, it tended to drift around, not taking a strait path to the target. It was always looking around, getting closer look at that thing, then going back to the path, moving close to that, then back. It flew like a curious little dog that keeps forgetting what it's doing.

The Strogg raised its hand and formed a fist, and then proceeded to tap the thick armour plating that was riveted to its chest. It was similar to the plating elsewhere on its body, as well as any of its mechanical parts which were likely to be subjected to stress -- such as the endo- and exoskeletal structure of its arms and legs.
"Hardened tribinium," it said, and stopped tapping. "Metal. Utilised in much Strogg technology. Resists kinetic and thermal energy, lacks conductivity. Useless as ore, difficult refining process. If Gorn do not presently harvest tribinium ore, Strogg can provide means of detecting and harvesting it."

Captain Smith turned and saluted with a quick and sharp "yes sir !" before turning in the other direction to exit the bridge's command tower .

The ship no doubt wanted to ensure that the Strogg unit aboard the Gorn ship was safe until data acquisition was completed.

OOC: Honestly, I've never heard of 'Tribinium' before. I even checked Wikipedia.
OOC: It is a fictional metal, much like two of the ones you just listed. Though not described in any detail, in my RPs Strogg harvest whatever rare deposits they can find, then put it through a fairly long and difficult refinement process before age-hardening it and using it as armour, load-bearing structures, and anything that needs raw strength over other qualities. It can be found in its reletively useless ore form in quite large quantities on fairly large, highly geothermal, terrestrial planets (Class A planets, according to Star Trek's classification system, I think), though it is also present in certain asteroid belts. Strogg will typically send their Harvesters to acquire it, as their organic components are fewer, and shielded a lot more heavily than those on other units.
IC:
"I am aware of these metals, I require tribinium," the Strogg said, rather adamently. Presumably by 'I' it was referring to the Strogg as a whole. "Two options are available to us -- provide you with the means to scan for and harvest tribinium ore. Alternatively, grant mining rights to Strogg harvesting vessels to search for and harvest tribinium ore within designated areas. Either is acceptable, and I will trade for both."
The Strogg reached down and pulled another chip from its hidden oriface, apparently having a production line of the things somewhere inside its body.
"Tribinium chemical properties," the Strogg said, placing it on the table. "In exchange for either trade or mining rights Strogg can compensate. Amongst other things Strogg produce vast quantities of various forms of high-capacity liquid coolant, room temperature super-conductors, cybernetics, harvesting machinery, construction machinery, automated drones, computer components, tetranodes, plasma and kinetic-based light arms, and radioactive byproducts such as uranium. Strogg also harvest conventional metals such as titanium, aluminium, iron and niobium. Additionally, Strogg can offer the use of efficient production lines for your use. I am open to negotiation."
Commander James immediately replied "We as a ally of Strogg , will not launch a friendly attack and do not expect to be fired upon . We are here on peaceful purposes , not to be hostile unless necessasary ."
"Then your weapons and shields will not be required," the Strogg vessel responded simply.

Grilluike's said, through the translator, "It would be preferable if the first option was used. I would not be able to gurantee(sp?) the safety of any of your ships entering our space. We will, however, be setting up a trade station outside this star system's Oort Cloud where you can purchase whatever Tribinium we find. Is that acceptable?"
Hanger
The Gorn Lieutenant assigned to guiding the Bioligin representative to the Conference Room nodded in greeting. He opened the door and made a gesture indicitive a request for them to follow him.
OOC: @Bioligin: I've managed to talk Fludians into joining us. Oh, and I was correct about him being a Species 8472 nation.
Oh, and just an F.Y.I., but the most advanced bio-tech I currently have are the gelpacks (those organic computer relay things that first appeared in Voyager).

OOC: the most advanced peice of 'dead' technology is the AM/FM radio strapped to the bottom of a couple of my biohawks. lol
After a stern warning from Udat to stay in the hanger, the birdshuttle hovered around, refusing to touch anything metal. But it was curious, it randomly darts across the hanger, just above anyone's head and high speeds to stare at a dust mote, or a ship, or some random gorn.
Udat followed the two troops who were leading the way. They were following the gorn who had come to lead them to the meeting room. The xeno-psycologist was behind him, and the last troop walking backwards behind him.
This was the first time any of them had been on a techno ship, it was strange, the metal clanged as they stepped on it, the gravity wasn't right, even the air had a faint metalic smell to it. Nothing was natural.

OOC: G.H., I'm only joining in this early in my NS history instead of letting my pop build, like I wanted, because you agreed to let me have one of the moons in this star system.
IC: A giant, swirling, yellow-green vortex irised open (OOC: Picture the wormhole from DS9 (only yellow-green in color) and you'll get the basic idea). From it emerged a small fleet of twenty Scouts (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_scout.jpg), ten Destroyers (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_destroy.jpg), one Transmuter (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_transmuter.jpg), three Resource Collectors (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_collector.jpg), five Frigates (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_frigate.jpg), and one Mother (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Schematics/8472_mother.jpg) emerged from the Fluidic Rift. While the other bio-ships moved into formation around the Mother, one Scout darted toward the Gorn command ship and landed in the Hanger after getting clearance.
Once in the hanger, the Fludian (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Character%20Pics/s_8472.jpg) Pilot exited the Scout. The three meter tall being looked up at the Bioligin craft darting about.

More ship appearing out of a portal One of the bioligin ships reported to all the others insystem via their telapathic link, They appear to be biological.
More ships? The lead biohawk back at the main formation answered, Gees, do we have enough ships insystem to handle a full military break out?
Yes, One of the stealthed biohawks answered, I'm carrying anti-matter.
Holy! Who gave you that?
Haven authorised it, to remove the Strogg incase it turned hostile. It wanted to take it out without starting a large conflict.
Well, that's what anti-matter does.
The nearest not stealthed biohawk swooped in towards the fluidian fleet staying far enough away not to be seen as hostile, but close enough for it's distortion feild to sense all the mass within the unknown ships and start biulding 3d images of them. No hail was sent out, as they wern't sure about these newcomers.

As the Bioligin representative's entered the Conference Room, Grilluike looked over at them and nodded in greeting.
"Welcome aboard the Na'Shantaa," came his translated greeting to them, "I am Admiral Grilluike."

Inside the Na'Shantaa's hanger, the Fludian Pilot watched the antics of the Bioligin 'shuttle' for a few moments before brushing past stunned Gorn crew members. The entity was heading for the place where it sensed the most diverse beings, the Conference Room.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mother and her escorting craft moved into orbit around a moon that had been agreed to them in exchange for Fluidian's help in protecting the system from outsiders. Extraction beams lanced out from the Collectors towards the lunar surface and began pulling up parts of the surface. Once full, the Collectors would then take the materials to a Transmuter where usable bio-matter and non-organic minerals, elements, and other items would be extracted and waste material processed for later use.

Udat nodded in responce, trying his best to mimic the movement. He accessed the databanks onboard one of the biohawks, digging through it for the gorn language. It wasn't found, so Udat started a file to record and translate the language, all of this via the telapathic link.
"I'm Ambassator Udat, from the Haven habitat of the Bioligin Commune," he said in english (which I'm assuming you spoke in). "I bid you excuse my friends here," he waved at the xeno-phycologist who was studying one of the light fixtures and Troops who were gaurding the entrance with an OCD perfection, "They are just doing their jobs."
The Shuttlebird watched the fluidian pilot and scout ship intently for a while, hovering about them like a large vulture before moving off to check out other things. It noted their direction and told the ambassatorial party via telepathy.

OOC: The Gorn language is a complex thing of growls, snarls, hisses, clicks, whistles, snorts, hoots, and other reptilian noises. Though, as English is so prevalant throught the NS universe, I've been using a computer to translate.
IC: "As should any guards," came Grilluike's translated reply, "I would expect mine to do the same thing if our situations were reversed."
He gave a toohty smile as he picked up the scent of the approaching Fluidian.
"Its been awhile since I've smelled that distinctive scent," he thought to himself.

OOC: ahhh, the wonders of biotechnology, you can learn stuff fast.
"True, true," Udat says and nods, "Now, down to biusness. I'm here to offer a trade settlement, normaly our cultures would have nothing to trade, being so different in culture and technology, but I believe I can get something good."
He reaches into his pocked and pulls out a small lizard like animle, the only differance is it seams to be perfectly trained, and it's tail looks metalic, "This is for data encryption, this little guy can translate telapathic information into a 'standered' file format your computers can use.
"As to what we can offer," he continues, "I believe you use fusion technology, correct? Well, I know that the He3 fuel that those things use is hard to come by. Our nation has the ability to mine and refine many cubic meters of the stuff a week, since we orbit Gas giants, where the stuff is quite abundant. You can access our exact mining ablities from Lizzy here," he motions to the lizard creature, "in return, there are a number of subances we need for the creation of new animles, also in Lizzy, they arn't natural or easy to make by our methods. If you can provide us with these, then we would be happy to trade He3 for them."
While this was happening, the Troops also detected the Fluidian approching, through a number of means. One of them trained one of it's organic chainguns down the hall towards the approching creature, it's Gamma-ray laser growth was also ready to pop out to fire, should it be needed.

"Correct," came the Admiral's translated response, "our sublight engines do utilize a nuclear fusion reaction. However, our main power source that powers Gorn ships as well as forms the core of our primary superluminal technology are our matter/anti-matter cores.
"Though, depending on the materials you need, we can see what we can do. The Ferengi Consortium owes us a few favors. Perhaps we could get you some replicators."

The Fluidian Pilot looked down at the representatives of the other nations as it entered the room.
<We meet again, Grilluike. When last we encountered each other, you were but an lowly Ensign stuck in an escape pod we rescued.>
The Pilot looked at the weapon the Bioligin soldier was aiming at it for a moment before looking into the soldier's eyes. The cross-shaped pupil of a Fludian's eye (http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/The_Illuminati_Orb/Character%20Pics/8472eye.jpg) can be quite disconcerting at first before one gets used to them, and that usually takes multiple encounters, at least.

"I'm sure we can find a way to provide you with anti-matter also," Udat says, ignoring the Fluidian for a moment to finish the conversation.
The Troop stared right back, biological chaingun trained on the fluidian, strange eye or not, it was a possible source of agression, and warented such gaurd. Troops have silvery eyes that never seam to move, mainly because they see in many directions at once, and can see infared aswell as visual and alittle ultraviolet, so not much escapes their sight.
Udat looked up at the strange creature now, the Xeno-phycologist was also watching intently.
"I don't believe we've met before," Udat said, repicating the nod the Gorn had given him as greetings, "I'm Ambassator Udat from the Haven habitat, representing the Biologin Nation."

"That was a long time ago," came the Admiral's translated response to the Fluidian.
"As for your offer of providing us with a source of anti-matter, I am sure we can come to an arrangement," Grilluike's translated voice said in response to Ambassador Udat's proposal.

Udat eyed the strange creature, but continued with the conversation.
"There is one small problem with the Anti-matter... There is a slight moral issue with it. Anti-matter can be used to make powerful weapons, as such, we are going to need to find a way to ensure that you don't use it for such a purpose. I don't want to be responcable for giving you the anti-matter you needed to blow a planet up."

Grilluike pushed his chair back and stood up from the table.
"Then follow me," he said through the translator, "and I'll show you the reactor.
"As for our weapons, we use plasma torpedoes and disrupters as well as a few other things. However, the matter/anti-matter warhead in torpedoes used by other nations are not unkown to us. But it isn't our style to use precision weapons like that. Our weapons are designed to destroy."
