The elegant meeting hall overlooking the Moskva River was once used by the Communists, but after the collapse, it was rarely used except for a few weddings. Vladimir Putin decided it would be a perfect place to meet the Japanese. He had everything properly planned and had even scheduled the Japanese delegation to see a military parade. The conference would last about a week and they would discuss strengthening relations. Russia needed Japanese technology and Japan needed Russian resources. He would also ask Japan to join the CIS.

OOC: Just RP the greeting between us and then remark how beautiful the view is or something.

Many members of the Japanese delegation were notably awestruck at the natural beauty of the chosen meeting place, several going insofar as to compare it to the Japanese countryside. The greetings with their Russian counterparts were, in true Japanese fashion, somewhat prolonged and heavily laden with the compliments and social niceties so common to traditional Japanese society.
The Foreign Minister himself was present with this delegation, a clear indication of how highly the Japanese regarded this conference. Though not a stranger to the lush Russian countryside, he himself remarked at what a splendidly beautiful setting this was.
