OOC: As a note, I don't want this to start overflowing, so I think I might close it off if too many people pour in. It gets a bit too complex for my liking. That was a public service announcement.

Ista-corp News Service Emergency Alert

"Good evening everyone, I am George Baker, and this is Ista-corp news, Emergency alert. A large revolt has started in the southern reigons of the country, sparked by former prince and socialist, Alexi Kesslov. He, and a large group of his supporters, are attacking Nevlia (OOC: A medium sized city), with what our advisors have surmised are weapons stolen from some pre-capitalization bunker, that has been strangely un-noticed until now.", the television anchor said. The anchor continued "Istanili Security Forces are suffering losses defending the city, and are slowly being pushed back. A board spokes-person said that 'This is not a cause for concern, we beat the royalist, communist bastards once, we can do it again.' We will back with the lastest after this word from our sponsor.

After shutting off the television, Chairman of the Board David Schumaker sighed. "Damnit, that fool has started a revolt. What, did he think we didn't pay him enough to go into early retirement? I swear, we should have excecuted him when we took power. Well, whats done is done." He slowly stood, then walked to his desk and picked up the phone. He dialed a series of numbers, and then spoke into the reciever "Yes, it's me, Schumaker. Get me General Velkiz."

To: Alexi Kesslov and his socialist forces

We are prepared to fight along with you until you achieve power. We are prepared to provide 5 transport planes to ferry troops from place to place. We are also willing to give your nation 2,500 soldiers who will train your forces and operate as advisors.

------------

Capital City:

The two infantry battalions were heading off onto the thransport plane where they were headed to a foreign nation to act as advisors to a socialist royalist rebel force that wanted to fight against a corporation. The 2,500 soldiers were angry that they had to leave because of the conflict that was heightened by Black Reich and had lead to the deaths of 500 of their soldiers. However socialism had to flourish.

Thank you for the assitance, friends. If we make it through this war alive, you and your people will have my eternal gratitude. I fear even with your help we will still remain outnumbered and outgunned, but we must keep fighting. One thing we terribly need is food, water, guns, and ammo, as Istacorp has nationalized every single industry, and we have no external supply lines. Your assistance in this matter would be appriciated.

Corporate Headquaters, Istanilia

Chairman David Schumaker straightened his tie and then walked into the briefing room. Within stood his military advisor, General Velkis, and the rest of the board of directors. "Alright, lets get this show on the road", he said as he sat down in his chair. "General, you had a plan of attack you were going to lay out?". Velkis, a man in his late 40's with a graying brown mustache nodded. "Our plan is simple: We send the ISF (Law enforcment/MPs) to hold our ground near Nevlia. While they keep the rebels occupied, the IAF (Army) will hit their leaders hard and fast." He then drew some colored arrows on the map of the country, indicating troop movements. The CFO, Herbert Willson, commented "There is one slight problem". The General stopped suddenly, and replied "Well, go on...". Herbert sighed, then said "We don't know where their leadership is, how are we supposed to annihillate it?". General Velkis responded, "Well that, uh, that is what we will be doing while the ISF holds the rebels off." Herbert nodded. "Fair enough", he said. David stood, and annouced "Alright, that is settled. Lets get to work." He turned, and walked out the door.

(OOC: As an aside, based of the standard 1% of pop for military and then 30% of that number to find combat troops method, my nations combat troops total for all branches should number at about 2.7 million, and based on the GDP calculator I checked it has a trillion dollar defense budget and another trillion in law&order. That is big)

The 2,500 United Vikingland forces in the five transport carrying military supplies flied into the airspace of this nation. It was probably being tracked by radar and they flied closer to the city where the fighting was beginning. However, they flew into the mountains and landed where they hoped they would meet up with rebel forces.

4 miles outside of Nevlia, roughly 23:00

The suburban area near the city seemed largely peaceful, in stark contrast of how Sergeant Maier knew it was going to be like in a matter of minutes. He and 7 resistance men were sent to liberate the Residential district, section 3, area 12. It was about an hour and a half out, on foot, and that was how they were going to have to travel it. Luckily, he thought, it is dark and we have the element of surprise. Unluckily, it is dark and they are the only ones with NVGs. He whispered into his squad radio "Alright, 4 by 4 advance, watch your flanks and listen for hostiles." He and his men quietly advanced through the shadows, taking cover behing a shrub or parked automobile just until the other section had reached their cover. Suddenly, Maier heard a rumbling noise. He barely had the calmness of mind to remember to whisper into his radio instead of shouting. "Incoming, down the road, take cover on the flanks!" He and his fellows darted for the shrubbery, and not a moment too soon, just seconds after they were safely in cover did the incoming patrol come into view. Maier looked out from behind the parked SUV that was his cover and saw what appeared to be a light IFV and 4 infantrymen. Well, this looks bad. He whispered into his radio "Ok, groups one and two, hold position and wait for my signal, three and four move around to the flanks" As his men moved into position, one rebel fumbled, tripped and managed to set off a car alarm as he blundered into the door of a sedan at high speed. Maier cursed, then shouted "Cover is blown, open fire!", not thinking to use his radio. Bursts of fire cut from the bushes, cutting down two of the infantry. However, the infantry were better trained and equipped than the rebels could hope to be. The survivors managed to keep their wits about them, and fired a stream of lead full-auto into the bushes. Maier heard several screams of pain as he raised his rifle at infantry, who were now plainly visible (Muzzle flares make pretty good target markers) and fired a burst of shots, putting a bullet through the chest of one, but missing the other. As the IFV turret started to fire it's chaingun, Maier knew it was hopeless. "Fall back! Fall back! Get moving! Get your -" His orders were cut short by a burst of fire. The rebels quickly ran, and very few of them escaped.

Rebel HQ, 00:15

Alexi Kesslov shuddered as he heard the news of the latest ambush gone wrong. "We cannot keep this up, the hostiles have us beaten, for every one of them we kill, they have 5 waiting in the wings, and the firepower to kill ten of us." He sighed. "Those United Vikingland troops had better be skilled, or we are all dead. Every single one of us." He then thought back to the times before the corporation took power. "What I wouldn't give to be there again..."
He was interrupted by a messenger. The messenger stated "Sorry to bother you, your majesty, but a wing of un-identified planes is entering our reigon." Alexi thought for a second. "The United Vikings. That must be them.", he said. "Raido them co-ordinates of the tertiary landing pad, with the best encryption you have." The messenger looked puzzled. "Why the unused pad?" Alexi responded "It's simple. If the coporates pick up the transmission and decrypt it, would you rather they had THAT pad or the one about 50 meters above us?" The messenger quickly nodded and said "Ah, of course. I will get right on it." With that, he left the chamber, leaving the former king to his thoughts.

Emperor Nicholas I of the Holy Isochronous Empire immediately mobilised 88,000 troops in response to the Royalist Revolution in Instanil. A final decision has not been confirmed by the Royal Palace in Isochronous however, with reports the Emperor is torn between supporting the capitalists, and the monarchist-socialist force.

The United Vikingland forces landed near the rebel forces after getting rough coordinates from one of their radio men who had triangulated the position of the rebels.

Landing about 100 meters away from the rebel encampment the soldiers stepped out of the planes, and began to camoflaque the planes so that any government forces would not spot the planes and then bomb them. Getting United Vikingland vehicles out of the planes, 100 tanks, and 45 transport vehicles and another 20 armoured vehicles and began to wait in formation for Rebel arrivals.

about 200 feet from the rebel base (Bravo finding it, it can be hard through some 30 feet of rock and 2 relay antennae ;))

A detachment of rebel troops was standing guard, and watched the plane as it landed in the rocks. There was heard a bit of mumbling about "Why are they HERE? This doesn't make sense...", but it was generally understood that this was their reinforcements, so they had best not start off on the wrong foot.

The men's commander stepped forward and spoke to the head of the Vikingsland troops. "Sir, his majesty is waiting in the main HQ to brief you."
