Amazonian Beasts

The Dominion of Amazonian Beasts sat relatively quiet amongst its neighbors on the Irathrian Continent, holding a solid Southern position, though no moves of conquest had been taken. Already other countries had begun moving out to unclaimed territory, taking islands, or chokepoints, and the like. Emperor Kyp Droma watched the events unfold with a quavering eye. It was time for the Dominion to make its move, in a subtle fashion, to expand.
The small island chain that lay directly off the Amazonian Southern Coast would provide a direct test to see the potential for expansion for the Dominion armed forces on Irathria. In the dead of night, the first forces began moving out towards the island chain, just a short hop away by naval transport. The six islands that made the chain were relatively small, but would provide interests in shipping and naval bases for the entire Southern coast and sea. The thirty transports, 12 armor transports and 18 troop transports, left the docks silently from the Southern coast of the Dominion, five bound for each islet. Accompanying the transports was a modest naval fleet, the largest ship being three guided missile cruisers, along with five missile destroyers, eight attack frigates, and twelve gunboat patrol craft. The fleet spread out across the island chain, forming a light blockade to prevent against early attacks, while air forces and other naval ships readied for potential combat at the Amazonian homeland docks.
