~Military Council, Winchester, Newtdom. Monday, 11:43 A.M.~
The Emperor studied the map presented to him by his Military Council. The map was essentially the same as it would be any other day, except for the uncolonized border islands circled in red. The briefing was coming to an end, and the talk of the invasion had been concluded for some time, but it still lingered in the Emperor's subconscious. He thought of the men or material that may be lost, but clearly the benefits of securing these islands exceeded the possible cost. So it had been decided, and the troops were already being mobilized.
~Monday 5:30 P.M.~
The first wave of the invasion began. It would consist of the entire 1st Army, commanded by Field Marshall Lord William Wolfe himself. In order to ensure a smooth invasion the 83rd and 101st Airborne Corps. were already en route, Supported by a large detachment of the Newtdom Royal Air Force. As the Airborne jets flew over their various deployment locations thousands of parachutes could be seen by any observer. With any luck, the invasion would be quick and painless, but the Empire would take no chances.
~Port St. George, Tuesday 5:55 A.M.~
The stern invasion commander, Admiral Bernard Goya stood on the deck on the NRS Chamberlain, watching the completion of the mobilization. The men were running a tight shift, airborne units were already en route, and the invasion had to have been timed perfectly for a quick, decisive victory. The Navy would deploy its 1st Invasion Fleet, a massive armada designed and trained for this very purpose. Admiral Goya was quite secure in his belief of a quick victory, and this armada would help complete it.
~Tuesday 6:45 A.M.~
The 1st Invasion Fleet took to sea, the Islands would be less than a day's sail due to their proximity, and the quick Juka and Juken Battlecruisers would be able to support the Airborne troops by 1 P.M. today.
