Cerberus-class Super Dreadnaught (SDN)

The Cerberus is the latest from the Shipyards at Wuller and Farthing. Our first strictly ofr export ship, the Cerberus offers superior quality than our other export models of ships made primarily for Mondothian Clients.
Using our ultra-modenr shipyards at Camden bay, the Cerberus is the most advanced Super-Dreadnaught available. With our unique, state of the art weapons system, not even other Super-Dreadnaughts can penetrate the Cerberus's powerful defenses and must fall prey to the Cerberus's array of highly innovative and destructive weapons. While wielding only 25in guns, the use of Extended Range Guided munitions easily allow the Cerberus to take on targets from well outside the engagement range of much larger SD weapons, and can eve outrange the purpose built anti-dreadnaught rail guns, while a fearsome one thousand VLS cells allow an unmatched missile launch capability while maintaining spacious accomadations for crew and marine amphibious unit to both defend the ship against enemy boarding parties and to act as a landing force in an attack on an enemy nation.
For air support, the Cerberus includes eight electromagnetic launch catapults and hangar capacity for up to 180 fighters. The long flight deck and massive hangar space allow the Cerberus to easily land Jumbo-jets, allowing the Cerberus to act as a mid ocean stop over for inter-continental flights or as an off shore bloclade point to land jets headed ot a blockaded nation.
The Cerberus features a command and control suite, including Shadow-Net communications that make Cerberus a more than adequate flag-ship for any fleet.
With all this capability, and The Nine Military Storefronts award winning service, the Cerberus is the first, last and only Superdreadnaught you will ever have to buy

The 25in. Naval gun is the new staple of modern naval firepower, since the introduction of the giant 'Super Dreadnaught' ships, there has been a need for a similarly massive weapon, And Mondoth Arms, in association with the Shipyards at Wuller and Farthing have made that gun. The Mondoth Arms 25 in. naval gun features a state of the art bezzle mounted autoloader with blow-out armor plates to prevent even a direct hit from taking the gun completely out of action., two 4,000 pound ordnance lifts and a comprehensive electronics set including a pair of independent thermal imaging sights with integral laser rangefinder/target designators and a powerful magnifying component that can be used in day mode as well as night, similar to the sights on modern battle tanks, this system allows the gunner to select and prosecute a target while the turret commander acquires and designates the next target, leading to an incredibly short engagement time. The turrets fully automated tracking and elevation also reflect modern advances in tank construction, utilizing lightning fast computers coupled with the ships own sensor system, the gun automatically corrects for target speed, windage and distance and is even capable of time on target style repeated firings, placing as many as six rounds on a single target within fractions of a second of each other. And the rounds themselves are no less revolutionary, firing the standard array of HE rounds, armor piercing and concrete filled KE rounds as well as smoke and illuminating rounds, the real genius is in the guided rounds, utilizing a ‘soft launch’ propellant to reduce stresses on electronics components and a thin walled discarding sabot to protect the control surfaces, these rounds carry slightly less bang for the buck but the ability to put the first round on any target down to the size of a single window through the magic of GPS guidance is worth it.

The Sea Wolf is the next step in below the water line defense. Capable of identifying and destroying enemy torpedoes and sea mines, this system is indispensable to any modern ships. The Sea Wolf weapon tracks in on enemy torpedoes by their distinctive SONAR signature and identifies mines using a special blue/green LIDAR sensor capable of penetrating water. Once identified the Sea Wolf automatically prosecutes with high velocity Super Cavitating slugs form an internal magazine until the target is destroyed. The Sea Wolf is capable of prosecuting and destroying as many as ten targets at once, with a rate of fire of about 600 rounds per minute.

Bass Drum under sea defense
Range: 250 m.
Sensors: contained, LIDAR/LADAR, Passive Sonar.
Details:
The Bass Drum is the new thing in undersea defense. It is composed of multiple pistons in the outer hull, open to the water. When not in operation the pistons are flush with the hull to avoid causing unnecessary noise or drag. However in operation these might pistons pump several times a second, producing harmonic waves with in the water by carefully synchronizing the pistons. When multiple pistons are operating simultaneously the weapons devastating effect is obvious. It creates an almost solid wall of water capable of destroying any torpedo running into. Because multiple pistons are used, varying the rates and strengths of each piston allow the ‘shield of water’ to be steered, providing complete protection.

Shadow Net
Type: Secure communication network
Range: 100 nautical miles from ‘hub’ (more with repeaters)
Details:
Shadow-Net utilizes new techniques in low intensity radiography to create a broadband wireless network that can propagate over long ranges and yet remain undetectable to anybody without the proper receiving equipment, even if enemy communications take place on the same frequency, without a shadow-net compatible system your communications won’t even appear on their boards as static. In the event Shadow-Net technology is stolen, each unit incorporates a high rate 512bit self modifying encryption that randomly changes to a randomly generated key every six hours (the estimated time to break any single encryption key is twelve hours). Shadow-Net is capable of handling all fleet communications as well as networking sensors and countermeasures to form a fully integrated fleet defense system.

Integrated Electronics Warfare Unit
Type: Comprehensive electronics countermeasures and surveillance equipment
Details:
The Integrated Electronics Warfare Unit combines electronic countermeasures and surveillance equipment into a single easy to use and install package. Including a comprehensive surveillance suite, the IEWU is capable of intercepting communications on all frequencies, including Shadow Net style low intensity communications. With this powerful ability is a suite of cipher breaking computers to unscramble these communications in record time the suite is equipped to check a comprehensive set of known codes (List can be added to when new ciphers are broken) to avoid ‘regression’ errors when unexpected older codes are used.
Additionally the IEWU is capable of intercepting a comprehensive set of enemy radar and LIDAR/LADAR emissions, giving you valuable information on their sensor capabilities and location. Using the information gained from sensor intercepts, the IEWU can formulate a set of jamming options to efficiently blind enemy sensors.

Black Light Radar system
Type: Standard Naval air search/surface search radar with extensive low intercept capabilities
Range: Over-the-Horizon-Capable
Details:
The Black Light Radar is an extension of the low intensity radio frequency transmitting and receiving technology of the ‘Shadow Net’ system. Using this technology, a high resolution radar transmitter is ‘powered down’ to very low intensity while retaining range and capability

SPY-3B Air Defense Radar system
Type: High Powered AESA type Devensive radar
Range: Over-the-Horizon-Capable
Details:
The SPY-3B radar is a new way to look at Naval defensive radars, made up of several thousands of small solid state transmitter/receiver chips that ocntinuosly monitor a designated arc. While the 3B lacks the 'electronic kill' capability of earlier SPY radar sets, the electronic scanning capability that allows that allows the radar to instantaeneously search the entire sky with the ability to acquire and track a virtually unlimited number of targets at once makes the sacrifice well worth it. The 3B set, also unlike earlier SPY sets, is capable of Black-Light low intensity emissions.

LX-34 LADAR
Type: Rapidly nutuating high resolution LADAR array
Range: to the Horizon (given acceptable weather conditions)
Details:
The LX-34 LADAR unit uses variable frequency low intensity lasers much like radar the lasers are bounced off of targets to form a high-resolution image of any object in range. Using this image the onboard computer system can identify the target with much higher probability of accuracy than a radar.

LXU-145 Blue/Green sub surface LADAR,
Type: Blue/Green, rapidly nutuating under-sea LADAR array
Range: 12000 meters (Depending on sea state)
Details:
The LXU-145 uses a low intensity, special blue/green frequency laser to locate targets under water witht he same degree of resolution and accuracy as a standard above surface ladar while maintaining a much lower probability of detection than standard SONAR systems that frequently broadcast their location and type to any nearby reciever.

SND-174 SONAR
Type: High Powered, multi-purpose Sonar array
Details:
The SND-174 Sonar is one of the most advanced available, using several high powered transmitters in synchrony, it can develop a much higher resolution image than most standard SONARs while active, variable frequency capability means it can be used for standard detection of subsurface targets, high frequency mine detection or low frequency jamming of passive sonar arrays.
