Revolution at Canagor

Canagor

1 am this morning, the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Canagor was seized by the armed extremist group CLF (Canagorian Liberation Force). The group quickly took over the palace, decimating the poorly-trained Presidential Guard, and executing President John Carlos Senior. The president's wife and children(not all, see further below), however, were spared.

During an every-channel TV and Radio Broadcast at 10 am, the group declared Canagor a free nation, and demanded the Army to disband. Most of the generals surrender, along with their troops. Some refused to, and are now believing to be hiding in the Olac mountain range. CLF executed the ones remaining loyal to the president (Just one, that is, the one being the presidents son, John Carlos jr.).

CLF, enjoying wide support of the people, quickly disbanded the corrupt goverment, and is planning to form a new during the upcoming weeks.
However, the cities of Canagor remain in chaos, as angry mobs roam the city killing are police officers or army personnel they can find.

OOC - Things for you to know:

CLF has been fighting the old corrupt and oppressive goverment for years now, and they actually have a small nuclear weapon in their hands. As they strongly believe their cause is just, they willing to sacrifice citizens in order to maintain the newfound indepence, if other nations interfere. (But you're not supposed to know that).

CLF is violent, a real extremist terrorist group in every sense of the word. They will stop at nothing. The choice is yours - either to accept terrorism in this case and recognize the sovereignty of the new nation, or give your support to the remaining generals and try to reinstate the republic.

And make no mistake - the old goverment was oppressive and totalitarian, and the people ripe for revolution. Those, however, who enjoyed the spoils of the strong economy, were against the revolution. They make up about 15% of the population. The remaining 85% are the angry mob roaming the streets - there is really not law enforcement at all currently, and there only about 70 members in the CLF. The remaining soldiers at the old Canagorian army consists about 1500 men, but they loyalty lies with their generals, not the republic.

This is my second nation in NS. We'll play this thread out, and whatever the outcome is, it will affect the future decisions of Canagor.

"Feck," Supreme Admiral F. Crowley said as he looked over the mornings breifings. The CFA never really liked the CLF and the INAL disliked them even more. They gave a horrible name to revolutionaries. After several hours of arguing with his cabinet, the Admiral decided to pledge the support of 10,000 men to the Generals that were in hiding. The Hillian Airiel Navy was ready to go. The one thing that he could not do though, was attack. He needed justification. If only one of the Generals would contact him, or even send out an international cry for help.

Dran Gacal was sitting in the president's comfortable leather workchair, smoking a cigar(from President Carlos's own stash), his feet casually on the desk.
The room a lavish in a very stylish way, but Gacal hated it. To him, it was the symbol of oppression of the past decade. This room is paid with the blood of by brothers and sisters, Gacal though to himself, puffing smoke.
He hated the cigar also, but after sacrificing seven long years, his family, his left leg, and his sanity for the revolution, he thought he earned at least that, if nothing more.
Although the dictatorship was shattered, Gacal knew nothing had been gained. What he had achieved in seven years could be taken away in seven days, and he was painfully aware of that.

He focused again on what he had been told by Rafel Jackoe, his closest liutenant, just few hours ago.
Drexel Hillsville were planning to send men to support the remaining generals. (OOC: I'm assuming Gacal knows by now)
But they can't just attack, Gacal thought. They need justification.
Gacal know didn't who was supreme army commander in Hillsville, but he could imagine:One those faceless, arrogant men in their uniforms, playing war like a game, he thought. He hated them. He knew they wouldn't give a damn about the suffering citizens of Canagor, they were just trying to shine their own armors, riding to defeat the dragon of 'terrorism'.
I am not a terrorist, Gacal tried to convince himself, until he realized he was one and he didn't care. No more death in Canagor, but knew he lying to himself again. It would take years for the scars of the nation to heal, but I even so, he knew that bloodshed was near.

I can't let Hillsville have their war. I can't. I've gone too far now to lose it all.

No more death? Wrong. Just a few more, Gacal thought as he lifted the phone. The generals will have to die. Time to use the ace-in-the-hole.

There can be no justification when there is no one the aid, he thought, and he could already see the blinding light in his mind.

The bomb.
