Tokaleu Revolts against Braxana Masters

Tokaleu

OOC: Now there is another thread about how this is happening. Braxana is a population of 378 million and a dictatorship. This first IC will be an explanation of why Tokaleu wants to get rid of the Braxana empire that controls it.

IC:

Tokaleu is a population of five million people and since universities were built ing this colony of Braxana people have become more educated and have begun to understand the reasoning behind being a colony of the nation of Braxana. This has resulted in an atagonism between Tokaleu people and Braxana forces. This all resulted when Braxana forces arrived on the island chain over 150 years ago. It is unknown by Tokaleu people if Theao has always been a dictatorship but in the past several dozen years, barriers have been put in place to disallow the majority population from gaining a university education and since the majority population is native it has only been in the last few years that they and the 'foreign' minority 'university' students have grown angry at abuses by Braxana forces in their own country to crack down on any dissent in Braxana.

Tokaleu does not have its own political administration and that along with the military force is run by Braxana and Tokaleu people are in the lowest ranks of the army in Tokaleu as foot soldiers and it is a oddity if they are able to get into the officer rank. That is why most Tokaleu people European, Middle Eastern and Native are against Theao rule however, only truly Native population wants independence.

So it will be unknown if Braxana will try to go against the differences of the majority population and minority population and if the empire is willing to get into negotiations with Tokaleu forces to discuss broader autonomy or what it will do.

OOC: I am thinking at first to have insurgent people do terrorist attacks, and hit and runs if negotiations don't begin. And it is pretty hard for negotiations to begin since there doesn't appear to be a Tokaleu administration run by Tokaleu people or people in the army who can talk to Theao people.

One of the Braxana, the ruling class of the the nation with the same name, entered a local tavern with an extremely beautiful woman on each arm. He had the impression of being extremely drunk He walked up to the bartender "Give me a bottle of 1859 white wine from the vineyards of Tuscany."
"Sir, I regret to inform you that my winecellars are not that extensive." The man said nervously.
"WHAT, You fail to stock a complete winecellar on the off-chance that a Braxana would visit." He raged before partial passing out.
"Please. take him away." The bartender begged of the ladies, as the ruling class were rather free in their punishments.

ooc: From now on the posting will be done by my main account of Theao(though all actions will be those of Braxana).
Also, could you change the references to Theao to Braxana.

Outside in the city of Bombay several young men walked into an alleyway and set down a heavy bag of equipment. Inside the bag the contents of pliers, dynamite, timers, wires and other explosive and components needed to make a bomb. Quickly the four young men worked quickly to make two bombs. The bombs had little timers to them and everything and seemed to be pretty sturdy. The target was a check point that had been set up by Braxana forces, and had a equal amount of Tokaleu and Braxana soldiers monitoring it.

One of the men got on an army uniform that he had stolen and picked up the bag with both bombs inside. He walked the block down to the checkpoint and stoped outside the main building where at least one man was posted to look at the identity cards of any passing motorists. Placing the bag down lightly, the man slowly walked back the way he came and back into the alleyway. Several minutes later an explosion rocked the area that the bombs had been planted blowing the door off of the checkpoint facility.

Tokaleu Independence Statement:

Today, several of our members stood up to Braxana imperialism and destroyed a check point used in the city of Bombay by Braxana forces to harass everyday Tokaleu citizens. This bombing is the beginning of a wave of attacks that will occur by the Tokaleu Independence Army until Tokaleu is free of Braxana control.

After suffering for over 150 years, we have decided to rise up and become a truly independent, democratic and free nation. We need the world communities support and if we lose, thousands of innocent Tokaleu citizens will die. Help us become free.

Tokaleu News:

A Braxana news reporter stated briefly;

"There has been an explosion in the province of Tokaleu by rebels who are trying to overthrow the government. So far we can report that 1 Tokaleu civilian was killed and over 14 Tokaleu brothers and sisters were injured in this attack. The Braxana government will release its own statistics into any casualties received by the Braxana soldiers that were near the checkpoint. That is it. This broadcast is over."

Even though the Braxana military hadn't claimed any casualties yet, the TIA was extremely happy, and news travelled fast throughout the main island of the three island province of Braxana. Another group of the TIA group had already prepared a car bombing in the center of a small town once the loyal county administrator a Braxana official made his usual pass in a white car followed by several other military vehicles. The men were on the outside of the village under the cover of foilage, and once they saw the convoy of Braxana forces pass they waited for two minutes and detonated the explosives in the center of the village. Screams could be heard from the village and the men took off out into the surrounds. Unsure if they had hit their target or not.

Tokaleu News:

Another terrorist attack took place today, there are unconfirmed reports that a local Braxana official was targetted in an attack by terrorists the same ones who destroyed a checkpoint in the city of Bombay killing one Tokaleu citizen. So far 29 Tokaleu civilians were injured in the blast along with 5 soldiers but it is unknown if the Braxana convoy was hit or if they have any fatalities or injuries, as well as they still haven't released any information on the attack in Bombay. Stay tuned.

OOC: Braxana is the imperial power controlling Tokaleu and most Tokaleu people want to throw it off and become a independent nation. However, these attacks today, have an untold Braxana toll to them so we will have to wait for their response. If anyone wants to condem the blasts and support Braxana or support the seperatists please do.

"Let's give them a taste of what it means to mess with the ruling class." Kimir Zatar commented

Official Braxana Statement
In response to the declarations of revolution given by organisation claiming itself to be the Tokaleu Independence Army, or TIA, we have this to say. For every Braxana slain by the cowerdly attacks of TIA, ten citizens of the Tokaleu Islands shall be slain.

Internal Report: TIA Attacks
At the checkpoint that was bombed by TIA, out of the soldiers stationed at the targeted checkpoint, four soldiers were killed, while two were injured, one greviously.

The convoy that was attacked by TIA agents suffered the destruction of targeted car, as well as the loss of the MAT preceeding said car.

Kimir Zatar looked over the reports and smiled a chilling smile. "Go through the city of Bombay, picking up one hundred Tokaleu at random, and execute them. Twenty beheaded, twenty impaled, twenty burned, twenty crusified and the last twenty hung."

**************

Checkpoint:
"What in Ar's name are they thinking?" The sargent commanding the point bellowed, knowing of the dictate for the executions that had been dissimated amongst the population. "They knew they were signing the warrents for the execution of their fellows. I'll never understand radicals."
Meanwhile one of the soldiers was treating their injured comrades.

**************

Town Center:
The convoy was rocked by the blast, yet the troops that manned the MATs were rather indifferent to the death of the official. Those that survived from the lead MAT simply shifted into the following vehicles and returned to base.

With the four Braxana soldiers dead in the attack in Bombay and the official dead in the village attack, the TIA was extremely happy with their operations so far against the Braxana forces in Tokaleu. In Bombay however, with the 100 hundred people who were going to be executed for their crimes, it hardened their resolve to kill and wound as many Braxana soldiers as they could. And they would be brutal themselves if this is how Braxana was going to do.

So far, only several civilians had been captured to be executed and there were no reported deaths yet. So in Bombay the TIA in all its cells prepared to launch numerous attacks on Braxana forces.

----------

Bombay:

Several heavily armed gunmen attacked a patrol of Braxana forces marching down a nighborhood in Bombay. There were several civilians in the middle of the group and when the shooting started they were able to escape. Machine gun fire continued as the six armed men took cover behind vehicles and prepared for a Braxana response.

Elsewhere, a grenade was tossed from a window onto another Braxana patrol as it was passing several Tokaleu civilians. The explosion rocked the building and it was unknown if there was any casualties from that attack.

TIA response to the world:

Today, the Braxana government that has ruled our three islands as a province has declared that 100 people should be executed. We want to be free and a peaceful nation, away from this dictatorship that treats us like crap. Please help us fight off this evil nation that has ruled us for over 150 years. We want independence.

-----------

Tokaleu News:

In a surprising response, 30% of Tokaleu soldiers who are in the Braxana army have resigned, thrown off their uniform and are in hiding with their families because they will not support any actions of the Braxana government anymore. We will have to see how Braxana will respond.

TIA to Brydog and Xharn:

Thank you for the assistance. With this aid, I believe that we will be able to throw off the imperialism of Braxana and save our countrymen native and non-native from this vile dictatorship that has ruled us for so long. We are preparing a massive uprising in Bombay and hope to take that city as a first start. If you are sending forces, please send them there.

------------

Bombay:

In the city of Bombay, a city with about 235,000 people word grew fast about the support from the outside world and reports that Braxana forces had been targeted in bombing raids and missile attacks. Support grew for the TIA here and men and women began to gather any weapons they could and engage the Braxana and Tokaleu soldiers that supported the Braxana regime. Flames rose from burnt out vehicles as as many as 15,000 supporters of the TIA attacked check points and other valuable areas of Braxana control.

It was bloody and it was reported that at least a dozen Tokaleu citizens had been killed so far in the conflict.

OOC: Braxana can post about its casualties in Bombay uprising.

IC:

In the capital city about ten educated Tokaleu men, five of them foreign looking and five of them native entered into the building that housed the Braxana administrator of Tokaleu. Met by a guard they said;

" We come to have negotiations with the administrator of Tokaleu on ways to solve this violence peacefully. One dead Tokaleu civilian and 5 Braxana people are enough in this uprising. We want peace."
Theao
03-03-2006, 23:42
The various harassing attacks and raids were injuring more that killing, with the results being increased support to the patrols. It also resulted in the execution numbers increased from one hundred to three hundred and fourty.

**********

The resignations of the thirty percent of the native soldiers did not do anything to discourage the Kimir, as the natives were only giving 'scut' work and the loss of 'scut' workers was only a minimal annoyance to any military.

**********

The declaration of support by Brydog, as well as the subsequent launch of combat aircraft was meet by a return statement, and both AA missiles and Interceptors.

We would request that the nation of Brydog kindly keep it's democracy-hating nose out of our internal matters.

**********

The uprising result in a great deal of damage, thought it was primarily damage done by a mob rather the the concentrated and more effective damage dealt by an invading army. Multiple platoons and a few companies were overrun by the insurrectionist, but the soldiers that were overrun destroyed the equipment that could be used by the mob before they could get access to most of it.

**********

"You may speak to a manager, to state your position before you could speak with the governor." The guard replied, gesturing for another to take the delegates to said manager.

"We ask that as Tokaleu educated people, to speak with the administrator of Tokaleu so we can discuss ways to end the violence before more people are killed. We believe that Tokaleu cannot survive without Braxana and we believe we should have wider autonomy though. We are not connected to the TIA."

----------

Bombay:

Violence had ended with the capture of Bombay by the rebels and TIA forces. Fighting had left over 130+ Tokaleu rebels and civilians dead and unknown Braxana forces had been killed. Tokaleu citizens celebrated in the streets as the city was now liberated.

The manager gestured for the guards to frisk the ten petitioners. Any weapons save those purely natural would be found by the extremely efficiant guards.

*******

The majority of Braxanan soldiers had been driven off, with only minimal casulties. Bombay was temporarily in the hands of TIA, but that would soon change.
Tokaleu
06-03-2006, 01:26
There were no weapons on the ten men and they stayed and waited to see what was going to take place. Hopefully they would be able to talk to the administrator of Tokaleu and come up with negotiations that will end this violence that had started since the uprising.

----

Elsewhere, in another Tokaleu city the one of Victoria, clashes broke out in the streets of Victoria against the Braxana garrison in the second of three cities in Tokaleu. TIA members were influencing the violence that was taking place in Victoria.

-----

Inside the garrison at Victoria, over 150 Tokaleu soldiers rose up after seizing the armoury at the garrison base, the main point for Braxana soldiers in Tokaleu.

Unknown death toll for both sides.

Garrison:
As he heard the sounds of weapon fire, he knew that the untrustworthy native troops were attempting to revolt. Knowing the standing orders for all Braxana, he pressed the override button, sealing the armoury from anyone without either the pass-code or a great deal of explosives and machinery.

********

After a full body cavity search, the ten were shown to a room in which the governor was waiting. "You wished to speak with me?"
Tokaleu
06-03-2006, 02:03
The lead man stepped forward and said;

"We believe that the uprising as Braxana news claims is going on in Tokaleu has to end. Violence doesn't do that good, and since we are a barely recognized province within this empire of yours some of us don't understand why so many Braxana soldiers are positioned in Tokaleu.

We think that decentralization should begin in Tokaleu, however anyone that is cooperating with the TIA should be barred from any decentralization process. And from there Tokaleu people decide on what should happen. We believe we can control our destiny with the watchful guise of Braxana."

-------------

Explosions rocked the city of Victoria, flames rising up into the sky as more and more rebels and protestors launched attacks against Braxana positions. The rebellion in the armoury was curbed as the native soldiers were cut off, but with the Braxana forces not being able to get to their weapons, it was only a matter of time before they surrendered.
Theao
06-03-2006, 03:54
"And how would you go about getting the rebels to cease?" He asked with a wry chuckle.

*****

As the Braxana troops had been instructed to carry their weapons at all times, the only hinderence the closing of the armoury provided was that if limited the shots, thought when they only had to deal with less than a company, they had more than enought ammo.
Tokaleu
06-03-2006, 17:07
The man said;

"Until the Braxana government curtailed the education aspect of Tokaleu citizens, we were educated up to the most you can get, and since we are from all five backgrounds of Tokaleu we are well respected in the community."

---------------

Fighting was heavy in Victoria as several dozen RPGs were fired at Braxana positions. On the outskirts, over 200 TIA soldiers coming out of the bush attacked a convoy of Braxana forces firing machine guns, RPGs and tossing grenades at the convoy.

It was reported that nearly 100 people had been killed in the fighting but it hadn't been confirmed yet.
Tokaleu
06-03-2006, 23:31
OOC: So no one else wants to free Tokaleu?

IC:

Violence in Victoria was going onwards into a third day. Rubble laid in big heaps as blown out doors and shells into houses had occured. However, Tokaleu people continued to fight against the Braxana forces because if they were able to secure Victoria, than they would be incontrol of two of three cities, and most of the largest islands. So far reports indicated that between 100 to 200 Tokaleu citizens had been killed in the intense fighting and if added to the other tolls, nearly 500 Tokaleu citizens had been killed since the uprising had occured.

Smaller Island:

A large explosion rocked a Braxana military base on the smallest of the islands after a native soldier got over 5,000 pounds of TNT and drove down to the docks before detonating his explosives and himself near valuable Braxana equipment. The explosion had also resulted in a fire that was spread from the vehicles but was luckily put out before it reached the fuel drums. However, a cache of weapons had been stored by a TIA-soldier member near the explosion resulting in a secondary explosion.

There was unknown Braxana casualties but it was reported that 9 including the bomber Tokaleu soldiers had been killed and over 37 injured.

The rebel began to withdraw with the foreigner. They made their way to the TIA headquarters, with the message that read:

The Captain of the FB Howler receives Braxana's message. He orders the ship to start up and move out. He replies with a message back to the Braxana forces, in his best redneck voice.
"Roger that. Not a lot of fish around here anyhow."

The small group wooden motorboats land on a beach near a vacation resort. The Wolves quickly unload, and push their boats back out to sea to cover up their landing for some time. The Wolves, about 100 of them, begin regroup on the beach and wait for further orders.

Major Geo, commander of the Wolves, pulls out his radio and receives the news that the Howler was forced to withdraw a bit, but is not leaving. He then receives orders from his man in Victoria to begin to move towards the capital city of Cocora. The city was quite far away, and they had no time to lose. He quickly sent out a scout team of about 10 Wolves to recon the surrounding area. After about two hours, with about four more hours before dawn, everything is clear. ANd if some sections don't end the violence then we would insist on a Tokaleu made army with assistance from Braxana forces to deal with these problem issues."

"If you agree to self-government, which is fair, this would from our standpoint result in the withdrawal of 50% of Braxana forces in Tokaleu, the allowal of Tokaleu Generals and Officers and their own units that will police and control the TIA problem. And a President for Tokaleu, however with you remaining as governor. I believe this is fair and a wise choice for you to make."

If they were able to kill this General then they would be able to rise up in Cocora quite quickly and take all three large cities quickly.

Seth, ruler of Cantr, sighed in frustration at the report. "We can't take this. We just can't. We've got enough racist issues already, and I can't bother my nations limited resources with a sea locked province of some foreign empire. The answer is no, Nalaris."
Nalaris, Seth's brother, walked out nonchalantly. He knew they both wanted to bomb Braxana flat, but he also knew how limited the empires resources were. Fortunately, the Patriots did not make such discretions.
The Patriots were a civillian militia spread throughout the empire. In addition to acting as a militia werever they were stationed, they also gave vehement support to whatever the government did. They were also, in secret, Nalaris' private army.

"Hello, Kyle? Yeah. I need the sound proof conference room available in one hour. I'm coming over to the Patriots HQ." Kyle Johnson was technically president of the Patriots.

"Sure thing, Nalaris. Want to organize a suprise political rally?"

"Something like that."

----------------------------

Nalaris walked into the sound proofed room. As usual, it sent goosebumps over his arms as soon as he walked in from the hallway. It was very cold. He pulled his jacket up tighter and walked in. Kyle was there, and in addition were a few officials of the Patriots. The Vice President, William Donners, the Treasurer, John White, and the Rally Sergeant, the "field commander" of political rallies in Cantr City. Every Patriots garrison had one.

"Thank you for coming. The Patriots are going to be performing their most daring stunt yet. In the past you've gone into battle against rebel factions, delivered supplies along highways that the Desert Tortoise legion were too afraid to patrol, and now you're going to launch a triple strike. I want to attack Braxana itslef from the air, enemy positions throughout Cocora, and finally stage a political rally to keep Seth busy."

"We can't go against Seth's wishes!" Kyle shouted almost before he finished talking.

"it's not against Seth's wishes, it's against his logic. Had he more manpower, more resources, he'd be leading the assault team personally. But he doesn't."

"How are we going to access to air craft? You're not exactly a military commander despite your relationship to the Emperor, Nalaris."

"I know. But my nephew controls a small airfield in the Eastern Plains. He's already agreed to...lend us two transport helicopters and a squadron of planes. We should be able to get fifty men inside Cocora or near it. And there's four bombers to a squadron of planes. Use your imagination."

"Your nephew? Luke?"

"Yes. Satisfied?"
--------------------------

He was. The raid on the airfield was a brilliant success, mostly because there was no resistance. They appeared within the airfield and captured the planes and choppers before anyone could respond except for the guards, and the guards were under strict orders to let the Patriots through.

The Patriots are going to war.

The council of ten broadcast about the peace conference that was to be held in Tokaleu to discuss about the final situation of Tokaleu with regards to the Braxana empire.

In Victoria fighting continued for a little while before TIA forces withdrew leaving behind 45 Tokaleu citizens dead and over 200 injuried in the fighting, bringing the death toll for Tokaleu to around about 1,100 people.

In the smallest of the islands though, a riot broke out in a small fishing village as locals grabbed spears and weapons and clashed with Braxana and Tokaleu forces. The Tokaleu soldiers did not revolt against their Braxana masters and put down the riot forcefully leaving 1 protestor dead and detaining 27 others. It was unknown what Braxana casualties were but there was only 4 Tokaleu soldiers injured. They waited for orders from their braxana superiors to see what was to take place in the village.

So far, except for the limited fighting in Victoria and on the island, Tokaleu was beginning to quiet from the uprising that had occured only several weeks to months before that had cost 1,100 Tokaleu people their lives as well as dozens if not hundreds of Braxana soldiers there's.

Although, we are not ready to send men in we are willing to send the arms captured in the fight against "The Red Sons of Tilea". We have over 1000 cheap machine guns with 3 clips of ammunition each, cheap cloth uniforms, 10,000 fragmentation grenades, and a few small patrol boats to send to you. Part of what we seized during our raid in Tilea. Since we have no practical use for these arms we are sending in 30 specialists to train the rebels in production of light arms-- homemade mortars, homemade rockets, bombs, technicals-- lightly armored jeeps-- with either a 20mm antiaircraft gun or a 105mm single shot gun, cheap 5.56 mm lathe turned machine guns, shoulder launched rockets in two varieties-- straight firing rocket, and bolo anti-helicopter missiles. A simple wire burst missile which entangles helicopter blades. Also 10 planners will be sent to design convoy ambushes, bank robberies, and other insurgent activities.

A few nights after their arrival, the large group of Wolves (again, Bawstonia's special forces unit) reached the outskirts of Cocora, the Tokaleu capital. They had blueprints of the city sent to their laptops, and were planning a quiet way to enter the city.

Major Geo was sent a message by his man who has made contact with the TIA, and was informed of possible peace negotiations. He let the planning continue, but sent a message back to the TIA Headquarters, requesting further information and asking if they should attack or hold their current position. He did not want to attack, and alert Braxana to Bawstonia's presence, if he didn't have to.

Kyle finished his message and sent it. It seemed so stupid a thing to waste followers on from Cantr City, but Nalaris and the Empire had their own objectives. Since the union of the nation by Seth and the founding of the Patriots, Kyle had never questioned Seth or Nalaris, and they'd never led him astray. But now? We believe that you should attack a Braxana General that is going back to the Braxana government and empire. If you can take out the general, then that will deal a blow to Braxana government support for continuing armed conflict. Major Geo just finished receiving a transmission with the TIA's request. He then made contact with the Captain of the FB Howler. The Captain gave him the greenlight to go about the assassination of the Braxana general.

A computer technician within the group showed Geo the location of the General's quarters on a map. He also showed the sewer systems, and that it was the best way to move in undetected.

So Geo ordered demolition teams to begin wiring explosives at all ground exits to the building. He then ordered three snipers to sneak into the city and find viewpoints with good lines of sites on the building. He then ordered five snipers to watch Cocora's airport, and shoot any military officer who attempted to board a plane. The rest would begin moving into the sewers, and enter the building through many different points.

As the sun set, Geo attaches his silencer to his sub-machinegun, and waits for the sniper teams to give him the go... after a few more minutes, he hears acknowledgements from both, and he leads the rest of the Wolves into the sewers towards the building.

Sources of Conflict
As the combat dwindled, the Braxanan soldiers reinforce positions, but did not seek to regain former positions, for now at least. It hinged on the conference being held.

Convoy
The effectiveness of the RPGs, compared to the results intended were minimal as only one HaTra was destroyed and another lost a wheel.

Checkpoint
Of those injured in the grenade bombing, all but one casulty were Tokaleu civilians and the Braxanan soldier suffered a major laceration of the thigh.

Air
The various AA systems utilized both radar, as well as SatTrak to target any aircraft that entered the airspace. Those that failed to have both a registered flightplan, and correct codes were promptly taken under fire.

Sewers
Those who were entering the sewers would find them full to almost overflowing, carrying rain water, as well as a large amount of waste products. There were also stainless steel grates placed at intervals in said sewers.

With the arrival of the forty heavily armed men who opened up with machine guns and RPG shells onto the Braxana position. After several minutes of fighting, 5 rebels were dead and the commander declared to surviving Braxana forces

The concept of either surrender or captivity was so abhorrent to a Braxanan, that both commited suicide, thought in different methods. ((OOC: Cantr...funny you mention, when I re-read it just now before I read your comment, I noticed the exact same thing...lol))

The Bawstonia Wolves began to pull out of the sewer, deeming it impossible to move through. Geo called the snipers, who were having trouble sneaking into the city, and ordered them to pull back to their camp on the outskirts. The few snipers who reached their destination placed wireless surveillance cameras watching the General's quarters. All of the snipers were relieved to hear the order, and began to withdraw.

A few hours later, back at the camp, Geo talked amongst the high ranking officers in the group. They agreed to have small teams watching every major highway leaving the city, but to make sure they were not seen. The violence was very minimal in Cocora, and a lot of military personnel because it was the capital... so if they were to be discovered, there would be hell to pay.

As the small teams were dispatched to watch the highways, the officers began scheming up alternate plans. One was to call in far-off artillery from the FB Howler, but it would take a while for the ship to get in position. Along with that, it would blow its cover as a fishing ship. Another was to tough it out through the sewer system (using small explosives to blow out any solid obstacles) and simply raid the building, but that could result in many casualties. The only option that was for sure was the one where they would sit and simply watch the area, which is what they were doing.

Hello,
Here goes. Recruitment drive. We tape video and audio of the leader of our splinter faction talking about why Tokaleu should be independent and why Tokaleu should be completely independent. We make 1000 DVD Videos, 1000 VHS videos, and burn 1000 cd roms to distribute to people who seem interested in the revolution. We send these out to some local radio stations. Send them to churches and local businesses with no return address and distribute them to the families and businesses of the rebels. The objective being to get more recruits.
We create a list of demands for our splinter faction. We send this list to radio and television stations.

1) Free nonviolent political offenders first. Including Miriam Tokaleu a important Tokaleu independence figure.

2) Provide reparations for the occupation.

3) Redistribute land from Braxana farmers.

4) Demand that Braxana troops leave at once.

5) Help rebuild our infrastructure with new roads, airport, schools, and other important public buildings.

6) Stop the occupation by foreign police. Send them home.

7) Give rights to Tokaleu minorities including the Nooganian tribals.

8) Allow freedom of religion. Stop oppressing christian minorities who have been jailed, including Christian resistance members.

9) Help us rebuild our farms and fisheries.

10) Tear down any and all Braxana monuments and statuary.

We also follow this up with an attack on the monuments which Braxana has in the area. Destroying statues of leaders, defacing political posters, jamming radio announcements by Braxana leaders, blowing up monuments. It should be easy to destroy these things.

This is followed by an attack on an airbase where we move in at a distance on rough terrain with plenty of cover uncrossable by ATVs or tanks, fire 30 stinger missiles, 20 RPGS and 30 mortars for two rounds at grounded planes. We are going to do a dawn attack when most of the planes are grounded then we are going to leave as quickly as we possibly can. 10 trainers will be there to direct the fire in addition to regular troops. We will have two mapped escape routes held by the trainers in case one is suborned, we will have a backup held only by the trainers.

TIA members under the leadership of a rebel commander prepared to attack a Bawstonia hideout inside Cocora along with Braxana and Tokaleu police officers. There were 10 TIA members, 6 police officers and around about a dozen Braxana soldiers. The TIA commander had tipped of the Braxana commander about this small Bawstonia hideout that had at most 6 to 8 soldiers inside.

Kicking open the door, TIA members followed by Braxana soldiers opened fire at the first level bullets whizzing up the stairs and down the hallway. A grenade was tossed up the stairs and an explosion rocked the building. Tokaleu police officers went around the back and opened fire in case anyone wanted to escape.

Gunfire echoed up the stairs as several TIA members walked up the stair case. One TIA member fell to a rifle shot and tumbled down the stairs with blood trickling from his head.

The TIA commander said:

"Bawstonia soldiers, lay down your arms and you will not be hurt."

Outside the capital as well, TIA forces raided a second Bawstonia hideout. With this one, they opened fire on the building that hid the soldiers and then entered from around the back. Around about 20 TIA members were involved in this exercise. They hoped not to have too many Bawstonia casualties because they wanted to have peaceful relations with the nation, but they had to show that they were cracking down on foreign agression against Braxana.

Shouting for the Bawstonia troops to lay down all their arms the TIA forces opened fire again with machine gun fire. There would probably be around about 6 to 8 soldiers in this hideout as well.

--------------

In the hideout in Cocora, fighting continued on the second floor. One TIA member had been killed and 5 TIA members and 1 police officer had been lightly wounded in the fighting. TIA forces indicated that at least one Bawstonia soldier was down and that they believed a second one had been struck as well in the fighting.

Civilians raced out of the neighborhood so they wouldn't be targetted in the fighting.

FIRST COCORA HIDEOUT

Of the eight soldiers, one had been hit and was in critical condition. Another was hit, but could still carry himself and function. They pulled out the soldier in critical condition, and hurried up to the third level. The leader of the squad yelled down to the Tokaleu people.

"We have not shown any aggression, and have not attacked anyone. We will NOT drop our weapons. However, we will gladly walk out of here and leave if you will let us."

As he yelled his response, his second in command kept the remote for explosives that they had set in the first two levels of the building when they first came in... if they were going down, they were taking everyone with them.

SECOND COCORA HIDEOUT

As the TIA yelled inside to them, the eight Bawstonia wolves began to move up the stairs. Already being contacted by Geo and the other hideout, they began shouting the same message as the first hideout: They have shown no aggression towards anyone, and will leave WITH their weapons. While the leader yelled that, the others began to booby trap the staircase.

WOLVES CAMP ON MOUNTAIN OVERLOOKING COCORA

Major Geo had received news of the two hideouts being attacked. He became very angry, knowing that they had not fired a single shot at anyone. When he heard the news that it was TIA troops, he became even more angered. The TIA had requested they move in, so the sudden attacks by them seemed to be insanely unnecessary. He sent a message to their HQ.
TIA Leadership:
I don't know why your people have had a sudden change in heart, but you have made a HUGE mistake in attacking our troops, who YOU told and requested to move in. What's worse, is that our soldiers have not fired a single shot at anyone during our time here. As commanding officer of the Bawstonian troops within Braxana, I am requesting you order your men (those who have assaulted mine) to pull back and allow my men to move back to our HQ. If you do not comply with these requests, there will be severe international consequences.

After the transmission was sent, Geo got in contact with the FB Howler. Though they were not making any moves yet, they began to prepare to move so that Cocora would be in range of their artillery. A message also was sent back to Bawstonia's homeland, describing the situation. Though there were no major actions, Bawstonia's small but effective military began to prepare just in case they were to move out.

The raid on the bank lead to the loss of the savings of a number of Tokaleu citizens

To: TIA
We are not responsible for said attack, nor do we condone it. As per the treaty signed, it is the responsiblity of the TIA to crack down upon the splinter terrorist groups that were spawned from your organisation.

ooc: Cantr: It's Tokaleu's coast you are attacking, and they are scattered along the coast.

Commonalitarianism, post # 74 makes very little sense. It is typical to write in 3rd person rather than 1st.

Tokaleu, a note. The three would be admitted to War House for training(a three year program). They would be 'officer cadets' rather than officers.

IC:

Several armed men opened fire with machine guns on a Braxana checkpoint. With heavy machine gun fire they tossed about a dozen grenades as well at the check point. Explosions rocked the streets of Cocora leaving 1 Tokaleu soldier dead and 14 Tokaleu citizens wounded. The armed men continued to exchange fire with Braxana soldiers.

HIDEOUT 1

With the TIA pulling back, the Wolves began to load their equipment and move out. They put the critically wounded soldier on a portable stretcher, and two other soldiers carry him out. They begin to pull out through the same way they entered.

HIDEOUT 2

The Wolves began to move out, everyone still healthy and unhit.

BAWSTONIA'S CAMP

As the squads from several hideouts all over the city begin to report that they are returning to the camp, Major Geo checked up on the critically wounded man from the first hideout. The leader of that squad reported back that they would arrive at the camp in about 20 minutes, and that he was in very bad condition. Geo ordered the head medic to begin to prepare for their arrival.

Geo, a little upset over the soldier's condition, sent another message to the TIA.
TIA Leadership:
I appreciate you withdrawing and allowing my men to pull out. However, your irresponsibility in the matter may result in the loss of one of my men. Instead of raids on our hideouts, you should have informed of us on your new position and we would have pulled out. If our soldier dies, it is YOUR fault. You should keep this in mind if our nations are to do business in the future, and possibly help you in making future decisions similar to this.

Official Stance Concerning the Election
We shall moniter and oversee, but not interfere with any politicking or activities in the electoral process.

Checkpoint
The soldiers returned some fairly effective fire with the insurrectionist group, before pulling back when the situation became unteneable.

[EDIT] Nevermind...

IC
"Alright, we made a doorway, let's get to Braxana proper now." The bombers and their escorts turned from the destroyed AA batteries, and began heading for their final destination. Meanwhile, the helicopters descended...

After landing a kilometer outside of Cocora, thirty of the fifty patriots began heading towards Cocora, the remaining guerilla's setting up camp.

When the Patriots reach Cocora, they search for a military installation held by Braxana, an air field, preferably.

There was an airport in Cocora that serviced military supply planes, as well as civilian traffic. As it was an airport, the land was flat for multiple miles in all directions.

ooc: I'm assuming you're attacking Braxanan holdings in Tokaleu, as there would be an exponentially higher level of defence for Braxana proper.

((OOC: Fine.))

Wordlessly the bombing squadrons dropped their payload on the airport. Bombs rained down ruthlessly on the hapless, seemingly undefended airport. Once the first pass had been completed Strike Leader broke the radio silence.

"I want that airport bombed flat. If anything's left standing we've failed, understand?"

The Patriots understood. The Patriots never failed.

The bombing was responsible for the destruction of some miscellaneous supplies, a Albatross, and a conning tower as well as some facilities and runways. As the attack was spotted prior, those who had been in the air port had been evacuated.

Tokaleu police in Victoria raided two buildings in a neighborhood and were able to rescue one of the two captives. They had been told by a Tokaleu citizen that the two were being held in that neighborhood. With the capture of four armed men and women as well it was only a matter of time before the other election official was found.

----------

However other violence in Tokaleu resulted in six bombs going off. Three in Cocora, one in Victoria and two at a Braxana military base on the smallest island. These bombings left 1 Tokaleu civilian and 1 Tokaleu police officer dead and an unknown total of Braxana soldiers dead.

--------------

On brighter news, a fourth Tokaleu person passed the requirements to become an Officer Cadet

We wish to thank the brave citizen who came forward with the location of the kidnapped official and urge others to follow that lead.

Base
The bombing did some property damage, but resulted in no loss of life.

ooc: When you're saying person, I hope you don't mean woman as no matter how good she was she'd be laughed out of War House, and no Braxanan would follow her. Actually the concept of a woman in any overt positions of authority(at least over Braxanans) is viewed as heresy(or rather something far worse than any other sin(even thought in a nation that views religion as a colossal joke, the concept of sin is ambigious, but you get the picture) combined). A woman commanding other nations is viewed as a massive joke.

A bomb went off at an election hall in Cocora killing one election worker. The first casualty of this election campaign.

Elsewhere ten mortar shells were launched at a Braxana military base on the second island. The insurgents ran away before they could get caught.

Hello, we would like to test out the new 105mm cannons attached to some jeeps. We would like to use them in a convoy attack with some fire and forget bazookas and other light arms fire. We will use log deadfalls on either side of the convoy to block it off. Then attack from all sides.

We are also going to get 4 bulldozers from a local construction yard, armor them with 2 inch steel plating and bullet proof glass and mount .50 caliber machine guns on them.

In a crack down on rebel forces, Tokaleu police forces raided several areas in Cocora and in villages near Cocora. This sweep netted 50 suspected rebels from various independence minded groups.

No one was killed in this action and it seems to go well for all politican candidates who have tried to back away from violent off-shoots.

BAWSTONIA WOLVES CAMP - MOUNTAIN OVERLOOKING COCORA

For the last few days, the group of Wolves has been simply waiting to see what happens in Tokaleu. The soldier who was severely wounded was stable, but it was not determined if he would live or not in the long run.

Major Geo had been ordered to hold their position until further instructed, but would most likely be pulling out soon due to the TIA's confusing stances. There had been reports of another foreign nation bombing an airport, yet the TIA attacked Bawstonia's troops after THEY asked them to do something. The higher ups were still contemplating what to do about the situation.

Violence was dying down in this three island province of Braxana. And with no vote-rigging evidence and no vote-rigging at all everyone was apparently happy.

However, on the smallest island a small platoon of Tokaleu soldiers numbering around about 30 rose up in revolt against their Braxana leaders at their small village outpost. Machine gun fire and rifle fire could be heard in the village as Tokaleu soldiers took their Braxana leaders by surprise. Several Braxana soldiers about six of them to be exact and every precation imaginable was taken to ensure that the soldiers could not kill themselves. Other loyal Tokaleu soldiers also surrendered quickly and the revolt so far had left only 1 Tokaleu revolter dead and 17 people injured. No Braxana soldiers had been confirmed killed yet.

As the violence dies down we are going to finish training them on weapons making. We are also going to start training them in light manufacturing so they can make tools, gardening equipment, and other light manufacturing goods. This is for when they are inspected by the police. This way the arms factories will look like regular manufacturing plants. Basically machined equipment for practical every day life. Also construction equipment, extruded pipes, bolts, nuts, and every day things which would be made using a machine shop. The Commonalitarianism is going to claim we are helping them improve "industry." We are also going to set up the explosives making as fertilizer making and industrial chemical suppliers. This way they can contine to secretly support an insurgency.

The wounded soldier seemed to be getting better. With that, Major Geo was given orders to begin to move out back to the beach, where another group of small motorboats will pick them up. They pack up all their equipment and begin to make the long hike back to the beach.
