This is the combat ring for the Flagship Contest.

I want the contestants to post their arrival before the fighting starts.

As the Nortoga manuevered into it's position in the combat zone, final weapons checks were performed and several dummy shells were fired outside the main cannons.

"All weapons systems in the green, we're ready to go sir"
"Roger, put me on all frequencies, this is the VSS Nortoga, combat shall commence as soon as you are ready! Be prepared."

Several warning lights on the front of the craft switched from red to green to indicate its readiness for the battle.

(Assume this takes place after Kuhenberg posts his ship arriving.)

As soon as every contestant was in their starting position the Emcee started the countdown to begin.

"...5..."

"...4..."

"...3..."

"...2..."

"...1..."

A large klaxxon sounded and the start buzzer sounded across all frequencies.

Several announcers covered each ship in their reports back to their nations. Their babble was mounmomentus but still drowned out by the spectators cheering.

OOC: Same question as Xeno, if this guy never shows up, do I win by default?

IC:

"Load DUAP Rounds! Alert the gunners, enemy ship is to port side, bring the nose up 120!"
"120! Yes sir!"

As the bridge of the ship was preparing for evasive action against enemy fire, all stationary port side guns and rotating turrets aimed for The Totenkopf

"Open bays 1-9! Have the MAGI direct all gauss and vulcans to the enemy! Commence Ion charge!"
"Ion Charge at 10-100! Port side gunners ready to fire, so are port gauss and vulcan!"
"Fire at will!"

A single moment passed, and nothing happened, then, 64 of the 84, 49-inch guns opened fire on The Totenkopf, all loaded with depleted uranium armor piercing shells, while another 120 gauss cannons and 400 vulcan machine guns opened fire on the target.
