Ava Varon was proud. She looked through the recent polls of the election. The people had enough of 'Papa' Jarl. The militarization of the Republic was a failed experiement.
"Madam Candidate?" said her aide, breaking her revierie.
She looked up. He was a good lad. He was one of the many vibrant coastal staffers that openly supported a Libertarian candidate. His name was Saul. It was a good name.
"Yes?" she said, taking off her glasses.
"Someone to see you" he said.
"Show him in" she replied.
A tall dark man in a suit strode forth. Ava Varon could see that he was from the Wetlands. He was wearing sunglasses - and Ava looked around the office just to see if the rest of her staff could be seen through the office window.
The tall dark man strode forth and extended his hand.
"Kevek" he said.
Ava rose up and extended her hand as well.
"Good to see you Kevek. What can I do for you?" she asked.
Kevek smiled.

Libertarian Candidate Ava Varon has unfortunately perished in a sudden fire that consumed much of the inner city of Agon. Republican Civil Guardsmen were dispatched for the retrevial of any survivors. Unfortunately, none of her staff came out alive. Many in the Libertarian Party has voiced their opinion that President Noea orchestrated this action. President Noea later addressed Parliment -
Members of Parliment - It is my utmost sorrow that I must inform you of my most honorable opponent's death. While I was her opponent, I was not responsible. I am equally shocked that such accusation would be placed upon me. It is this oppositon that I shall put a challenge to the Parliment on continuing these elections or to extend the Emergency Revolutionary Act throughout the land, postponing the contest only by two fortnights. I leave you to decide.
This speech later became the instigator of the horrific infighting within the Libertarian and Anarchic-Communist Bloc on supporting the ERA. As many noticed, the PSP held judgement to provide a fair and free election. Through a sudden crossing of the floor, all of the MP's of the A/C Bloc voted for the ERA while all of the Libertarians walked out. The ratification of the ERA was then passed to the House of Lords, which could not pass the bill until further review.
Protests by the Libertarians are now commenced throughout the vairous coastal cities of the Republic with brazen attacks done on Republican Civil Guardsmen on the fact of them being "terrorist thugs". The treatment of their action has been surprisingly fair, with their conduct being mostly of the common variety, assigned to labor near the Holy Mount. Many people within the commons have openly supported the passing of the ERA due to the fair treatment by President Noea in this crisis.
