The Electoral Principality of Bavaria
Capital: Munich
Head of State: Elector Charles Theodore
Population: ~4.3 million
Geography: 70,533 sq km
Languages: German
Ethnicities: German
The lands of Bavaria are a portion of the Holy Roman Empire and the Elector of Bavaria is the important inheritor of the Palatinate Electorship. The Wittelsbach family rules the principality and one of that line was Holy Roman Empire just 30 years ago. The principality is a leader in German affairs and one of the largest states therin. It is involved with central European affairs, but is often closely tied to its sister country to the south and east, the Habsburg Empire of Austria-Hungary. The Bavarian military is medium in size and takes much of its innovations and organization from the old French ideas. Recently, liberalists have begun to rise to power in the diets of Bavaria, trying to make the country more enlightened, even constitutional.
