This is the formal announcement. The democratic government of the Earthsea Islands has been overthrown and a communist republic declared. All elections have been suspended and a new Workers Soviet will rule the country. It will choose a new autocratic leader in due course. The Islands would like to establish relations with other workers run states to share the joys of communism and ideology. We would like to encourage the spread of communism and worker control throughout the South Pacific region.

I would like to waste no time in condemning this disturbing turn of events. Although we are opposed to democracy, we detest your long-defunct Marxist ideals still more. By overthrowing the rightful masters to bring about a regime lead by those previously too weak and unintelligent to rule, a nation destroys itself. By placing those whose previous experience was no more than a band of communist revolutionary thugs at the helm of a nation, you have relegated once-noble, once-individual citizens to a state of being ants in a colony, cogs in a grand machine producing failure and detestable weakness.

Thus we present you with a request. Restoration of the original and rightful governors will result in aid from our nation for the repairing the destruction inevitably caused by your looting hordes of revolutionary barbarians and restoring law and order. Meanwhile, failure to comply will result in all trade links with Helfaer being severed. We refuse to tie ourselves to such a contemptable nation.

Also, from this day until the rightful government is restored, we refuse to recognise your nation as a sovereign entity. From this day forward, we refuse to honour your sovereign rights. We can, and will, violate your national sovereignity simply because in our eyes you have none.

In relation to the recent transgressions of your state pertinent to its rightful administration, we are compelled to detract our ambassadors, ceasing all diplomatic relations forthwith.

Moreover, all economic ties with the earthsea islands are immediatey declared void and inoperative, whilst we issue the revolutionary leadership therein with the following ultimatum: We, the star council of the blessed chris, oblige you to revert to your democratic and rightful form of administration within 48 hours, or be subject to a declaration of hostilities.

Whereas democracy is the best form of government in terms of representing the will of the people,

Congratulations on your change in government. We however realize that your economy is in serious trouble with your current form of government. We wish to help you improve your economic system.
