It's officially election day in Chrinthanium. The country will go to the polls today to vote for their President, which has been a hotly contested race.
We have 2-term incumbent Christopher Danelutti. President Danelutti is a Liberal Democrat. He is a decendant of Anthony Danelutti, founder of Chrinthanium. President Danelutti was born and raised in Chrinstantinople, the son of Senator Mario Danelutti.
In his 8 years as President, he has reduced taxes, increased civil liberties and political freedoms. He has taken the country's economy from imploded to powerhouse.
The challenger is Governor Alfred Jodel, a Conservative Workers Union party member from the state of Halia. Born in 1965, Gov. Jodel was a 20-year veteran of the Chrinthanium Navy who retired an Admiral. Gov. Jodel has increased educational standards in Halia, and plans to do the same with the nation.
His economic plan calls for reductin taxes for industry and commerce while not increasing taxes for citizens. He also believes in bringing religion into the classroom, reducing the number of violent TV shows, and calling for the Congress to repeal the marriage and adoption portions of the Sexual Orientation Act of 1999, which grants marriage and adoption rights to homosexual couples as well as provides hate-crimes legislation protecting homosexuals.
The final candidate is Nathaniel Hobbs, CEO of Twiddleyerthumbs, INC. which is a company that makes education games for children. He believes in higher education standards, less taxes on citizens, increasing environmental protection, and closing the national borders to foreigners.
