WW2 Western Front
The French government led by the coalition of Paul Reynaud and Daladier announced today that France had declared war on Germany, Italy, and South Africa. In addition, today French forces that had been training and prepping since war had been on the horizon have crossed the German border in conjunction (I assume) with the BEF. This move is in response to German attacks on Poland and is to bring down the German Reich. France has also declared a full mobilization that shall bring the army size up to 4.5 million men. Factories are ordered to produce more tanks and planes as quickly as possible.

Great Britain shall fully support France's attack. Conscripts and soldiers are being taken by the Navy over sea to France to help defend her border. Hurricanes and Mosquitos will be sent once they are produced.

Due to the French declaration of war, Spain would like to announce that if France plans on using it's Atlantic fleet, a sizeable sum will be required to pass through the strait of Gibraltar.

All Wehrmacht troops holding the western defensive line on the French border will hunker down and attempt to resist the Franco-British attack. All available reserves from Germany are being rushed to the front. Mass conscription and war production are being put into place. Germany already has some minor fortifications on the border, and the woody terrain favours the defenders.
Military installations across southern Germany have been hit by French air raids, the Luftwaffe defences being concentrated on Berlin and the Ruhr industrial region. Troop mobilization in this area has been hit and this will severely slow down reinforcement of the western front.
(OOC thats all I have time for, if you RP an initial assault I will respond tommorow).
The sun rose slowly into the morning sky, the pale blue of the night ending, as the final quiet chirp of grasshoppers fell into silence and the world awakened. The world shook into the light yet across the broad meadows and forested valleys something was amiss. The ordinary bustle of animals and men that crossed these lands had stopped, the sounds of day not existing as they should.
And then all became apparent as a single figure stepped out of the dark forests into the light of the morning and meadow. An officer of high rank, a soldier of many years who had seen war and would see much more. The man walked slowly forward, perhaps moving to his doom, perhaps to some glory and apocalypse unknown to himself and the world. The old officer smiled grimly, tucked in his uniform and glared at the far tree line. Raising his sword, the man turned to his troops, and raised the sword high. The universe paused. The from behind the officer, out of the forest stepped line after line of men, sharply dressed in fatigues, briskly moving. Trucks and small armoured vehicles broke the uniform line from north to south. It may have seemed to a passerbyer that the whole valley was on the move. But there were no pedestrians today. The long line of men slowly broke up, splitting into divisions, brigades, regiments, battalions, companies... The officer charged ahead and the world erupted into flame.
Overhead soared the first of a sky-darkening armada of planes. And then the first explosions came, booming across the meadow and through the eardrums of many a man. Each group of men broke apart and began to surge towards a particular target, a manifestly important goal. The doom approaches, the end of the world, the war to do the deed. With a roar and explosions roaring, the men charged...
Divisions from the Luxembourg border to the north to the Swiss border to the south slammed into German positions, each divisions attempting to find the weak points and plow through the German lines. Strong points were left alone and enveloped, tanks brought up behind to support the infantry and quash these places. heavy forces attacked with air support attempting to reach major cities within a week and destroy German resistance split onto two fronts. Over several hundred miles the attack commenced with some 1.4 million men attacking.
The French assault has begun.
[ooc: not to complain, but the French forces have been invading Germany for 4 four days, and they've done nothing...surprise surprise...
but really, what's happening? did the French kick out a ball and call it quits? did the Germans start screaming and running around in circles? did the french and germans collectively invade belgium? did they invent nuclear bombs [please say no....]? did they sit around in Hitler's castle and play cards? what's going on???]
well maybe I could respond if Germany did. Sure I could say I just captured Berlin but that wouldn't be very fair now would it? Kinda like what Turkey is doing in the Balkans. oye

The wjole idea is to transfer troops from Poland for the defence of he fatherland, but until I get a response from my opponent on that front, theres not a lot I can do....
You see, thats the problem of fighting on two fronts, you can't just fight on one side and then send all your other troops over to the other when its done, you have to deal with it. You have 34 divisions attacking Poland. I have 72 divisions attacking you, you have to respond with what you have or call off the attack on Poland.

Thats not what I'm saying, I'm saying I don't know IF I can transfer troops until Poland responds
