This is for the newly formed nation of Yugoslavia. It has been reunited after a long struggle, and is trying to stake it's claim to once again be the powerful symbol of Eastern Europe.
CNN Report; January 17, 2007
After years of tiring and exhaustive infighting among the ethnicities, the peoples of Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia Montenegro, and Slovenia held plebiscite elections to determine whether it would be better to exist in a unified country and have one person solve all the problems [such a person does come to preeminence]. And undder UN moderated elections, the people decide to unify into Yugoslavia under one flag, one nation, one leader. This is CNN world news, thank you for listening

The economomic situation is bad now. The government is desperatley trying to organize it's labor unions and businesses to cooperate. The business is most likley becoming prime investment because of Croatia and Slovenia's large information technology, micro-proccessor manufacturing sectors, with companies such as Samsung, Seimens, GE and AMD looking for real-estate for their European market. The jobs will skyrocket if the military can keep the current anachic waves from spreading. The car company Citroean is monopolizing on the fact that it just bought Serbian car company Yugo, but is in close competition with Skoda, the Slovenian car company very popular in England and Germany.
As far as food goes, over 78% of the workforce in Bosnia has something to do with agriculture and farming, and the fishing empires in the Adriatic are dominates by Croatian fishermen.
Trading will be the prime way for Yugoslavia's wealth. Oil tankers are constanley being made slod to American and Canadian companies. English navies buy a steady stream of crusiers for the Croatian docks (funny how the Croatian navy is so weak, I hate irony). And American defense companies are buying docks and dotting the coasts with naval yards building new aircraft carriers.
Remember, only a small amount of this potential workforce is actually employed. Once the rebellions and anachric groups are contained, people can once again go out and find jobs. I request UN help for this rebellion.
My guess is, within 3 months, Yugoslavia can begin to fill these jobs making the economy a growing powerhouse, and then come elections.

Russia invites Yugoslavia into the CIS SocioEconomic Union and hopes that Yugoslavia will be able to remain as one.
OOC: You said something about 5 million troops. Most of those were probably around because of the infighting. Now that that is largely gone, the military could and should be downsized.
The Republic of France commends the peaceful transition of the Yugoslavian state, as a means to end the many years of genocide and instability. We offer our hopes to your people, in the elections for the leader of your government, that they may be all for the best.
In this moment, considering that Croatia was applying to join the EU [ooc noting that Slovenia is actually a part of the EU...we'd have to work this out...], after we have affirmed the peaceful nature of your country, we would like to extend our invitation to Yugoslavia in their place. [ooc: basically, don't do genocide, be tolerant of other religious faiths in the country, adopt the current Constitution, and preferably adopt the euro currency...it's basically all nominal]
In addition, France notes that though stable, the Yugoslavian economy has not been performing well. That said, we would like to offer sending economics advisors to your state, to help promote your economy and provide a better recovery from those years of instability. Furthermore, we offer to send a military attache unit, to help demilitarize many of the zones that were under the occupation of NATO peacekeeping forces [i.e. clear any mines, frivolous armaments, etc.].
As requested, France will send a proposal to the UN to invite Yugoslavia into the UN [ooc: the UN typically has to invite and elect new members in...but I don't know how that will go...] and to send peacekeeping forces as well to help quell the rebellion and anarchic elements in your country. If your country needs any other assistance, we will be glad to reply.

For the mutual protection of my citizens, I will not downsize the military forces. There are still suicide attacks, planned hostage situations, and sabotage missions by a large Guerilla army opposed to the new system. These are dubed "enemies of the state" and because of thier vast influence of eastern and some of southern Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia will remain for lack of better words, a police state.
The Yugoslav national council will meet in Zagreb to discuss the joining of the Socio Economic Union soon. The council thanks you for your kind offer.
OCC: The 5 million troops are the military size of all these nations today, this is a downsized army from the over 13 million different troops fighting all over the place in the 90's. So, once I set a foothold, I will downsize.

Thank you, on behalf of the Yugoslavian council, we accept Rumania and Bulgaria as our comrades from the old Balkan Alliance.
As far as the border issue, it's a very demilitarized zone. We've trpped most of the rebels in the northwestern area, close to Treiste. But, some border blackades to keep arms from getting into the area would be a great help.

Yes, that would be great for the expansion of Belgrade, rihgt now, it's pretty corrupt and with rail systems in and out, people to migrate to find jobs there, and really improve the city. Good idea. After a few years or so, I'll make a better railway system in the country (maybe TGV, most likley MagLev because it's cheaper) running from Zagreb, Belgrade, Ljubljana and other major Balkan cities.
BTW: How do you guys feel about colonies? Just wanted to see...

After a large scale raid on Trieste by Yugoslav and fellow Italian operatives, the large rebel suppply depot there has been confiscated. The area has been demiliterized and over 589 rebels have been taken to the Federal Inquiry Centre and Ljubljana. UN judges will be present for the hearing.
In hope to destroy the rebels once and for all, the Yugoslavian National Commitee has issued a request for the assasination of Vladimir Pelic, anarchist leader of the rebellion. A 60,000 Euro prize is on his head. Call the Yugoslav military offices if you have any information about this scum at 1-233-854-954.

France will be financing a major portion of the railline, and the other countries will supply their own contributions, proportional to their respective share in the line. The workforce will be pooled between the countries involved. You shouldn't worry too much about the budgeting for it, since your economy could easily accommodate the proper share for the construction price.

Excellent, the Yugoslavian National Commitee has approved. A similar project has been proposed by building companies, but was halted due to little government funding. But now, with outside help from an economically powerful nation we can finally make it. The commitee thanks you for the oppertunity, this will create much needed jobs to jumpstart the Yugoslav economy.
the Republic of Poland does not recognize yugoslavia. We do not feel that the peoples of those free countries do not wish to be in a unified nation. These nations fought for their freedom, they would never have joined freely. Poland supports any rebel factions hoping to return to being free from jugoslavian rule. The Republic of Poland is pulling all its embassies from the nations now under yugoslavian rule.

Good to hear,I'm a Yugoslavian native, I've lived in Sarajevo for 5 years and in Rijeka for 3, before moving to the US. It has been my dream to reunite it, I can see where you are coming from, and I respect your views and to some extent agree with them. But, it is the duty of our generation, the genereation not plagued by war, famine, disease or much hate, to rebuild upon the ancient Balkan lands, and make our people, our people, once again. That's why I RP here, and that's why I'm going to try and go back there one day and reunite it. I could care less for hate, and am not afraid to die for it. :D

The Yugoslavian Parliment has met and decided to give Poland a chance to withdraw their comment about helping the rebel factions. The Parliment has met with the National Council in Sarajevo and have decided to refrain from taking this as a threat of war. I warn you, the Yugoslavian Military, with aid from the CBSS troops has put a border guard to prevent weapons and supplies from entering the nation. If you try to airlift materials, fighters will escort you to the nearest airport and the pilots will be dumped off Yugoslavian borders. Try to get in by land, we will simply say No. We will try and refrain from using force to stop this intrusion, but Yugoslavia and it's allies will take any armed intrusion as a declaration of war.
Im not trying to be rude, im just saying i dont think the other nations in that are would join, but if you want that and you did that in this rp than i must respect that. please forgive my aggressiveness, but since we are all acting as we would not....
IC:The Polish military is much more advanced than yours and you would have to cross several countries to attack us and we see your declaration as a threat. We have airborne brigades trained in being dropped in and be surrounded. We have one of the most advanced air forces in Europe. do not push us .
OOC: reading the history of the Yugoslavian reunion, it was an election by the people of the republics to join under one banner to improve the stalibity of the region and end the violence...
OOC: FYI, Poland is right about having a rather modern force, and while France would support Yugoslavia in the event of an unwarranted attack from Poland, there is no need to press the point militarily. On that note, I would strongly Poland to refrain from supporting any rebels in Yugoslavia, as that would also press a point that is not necessary, unless Poland itself opposes the reunion of Yugoslavia under one flag...

Yugoslavia will not attack, Yugoslavian Commitee has decided to defend our selves against a Polish invasion, we took it as a threat
Furthermore, the Yugoslavian military is battle hardened, unlike the Polish military which lacks experienced generals and has a relitavley unmotivated army (seeing as you are the attacker in this case). The Polish Military and the Yugoslavian Military would otherwise be about the same size. Polish Air Force is larger and more advanced, I will give you that. But in a battle to get to Sarajevo or any other major city, you would need to fight through mountain and forest terrain, and the Polish Military lacks experience in geurilla style warfare (plus countless mines and traps left over from the baggillion stupid wars Yugoslavia has had in the past century).
Also, Nakatan was right, Yugoslavia is a Coalition of nations under one flag an goverment, that is why is say, "The Yugoslavian Commitee" or "The Yugoslavian Parliement" because we don't have a prime minister, Yugoslavia has delegates from each region meet together and decide on one choice. These are experienced and proffessional people who have no hate towards eachother (as CNN would have you believe) and pass laws and make decisions in a fashionable democratic way.

Yes, but still, that is special operational troops who are well trained. I'm talking about a major army assualt, aside from the Air Force, Poland has very few good generals, and the troops invading Yugoslavia will have very low moral and initiative to fight, as opposed to the Yugoslavian generals from the Balkans wars, Cold War and even well trained officers from WWII that are now older military advisors and generals.
BTW: Polish counter-terrorist in Iraq did very poorly, and for the most part, they will not have an active role in Yugoslavia because its a completley different kind of war.
A warning to the Unified country of Jugoslavia. We are deploying planes and troops to the middle east. they will be flying from an airbase in the south of poland, to an american air base in italy and then on to the middle east. If yugoslavia makes any threat of violence, that will be seen as hostile and we will respond in kind.
OOC: just trying to make things interesting
France implores both Poland and Yugoslavia to appreciate the sovereignty of the other, seeing as thiss conflict is going out of proportion. As an act of global interest and friendly operations, Jugoslavia (good work putting the J instead of the Y :D ) will escort the Polish flyers in the Jugoslavian airspace because if you choose to go through there, the rebels will surely shoot you down, friends of United Jugoslav Republics are enemies of the rebels. The Jugoslav air force will not engage in dogfights or attack with SAM's.
I hope we can further create peaceful actions between Poland and the United Jugoslav Republics.
The polish squadron flies through the beautiful, bright sky. He notices on a radar that their are 2 blips. He reported back to his commanders and was told exactly what to tell the enemy fighters "We thankyou for your consideration, but we ask that you keep your planes back." He then spoke in a forceful voice.
Repeat: do not come near us

Well, the Jugoslav Air Commodant has already ordered a full scale air survailance of the area (I've been doing a routine check to weed out the rebels). If you see any JAS-39 Gripen's flying around, do not engage, we are clearing the area of any rebel SAM's and convoys to ensure that none of your flyers get hurt. The Gripen's will be flying at low altitude for better survailence, I suggest you flyer higher to avoid getting clipped by rebel fire.
